Where we left off....
Cody
Sean's mom got in the car, talking on her cellphone to someone from her work. (She ran her own business.) Something about shipping errors or what not. She put the keys in, and we were off to the movies. We drove by very little on our way to town. Mostly trees, the occasional park. Once we reached town we got slowed down in traffic for the St. Patrick's Day parade. So slowed down in fact, that Sean's mom turned around in the drivers seat to talk to us.
"Cody, I told your mom that Sean loved his gift and we would use it tonight, but seeing as how it's just you two I think that we can save it till' later. Ok?" She smiled at me, revealing perfect teeth, just like Sean's.
"Well Ms. Murray," Sean's mom and dad had divorced like mine so now it was 'Ms.'. "I wish that you would have told me that so I could have brought money to pay for my ticket." I hated that she was so nice. I loved her to death, she was like another mom, but it made me feel bad. Let me explain, Sean's entire family is Catholic. Like, majorly, devout, Catholic. You know, the 'Burn the homo's where they stand' Catholic. And, of course, that was one of the reasons why I hadn't tried anything on Sean. He was as much Catholic as they were, though he never talked about the politics of Catholicism. My mom was open-minded Charismatic. That's a denomination, for those that don't know. My entire mom's family was Charismatic. My dad's side on the other hand, was Baptist. One of the reasons there was so much tension in our house before the divorce was because they had disagreed on how to worship. That wasn't the major reason though. Anyway.
"Oh, don't worry about it sweetheart. I don't mind paying for your ticket." She turned back around because traffic had started moving.
"Thank you Ms. Murray." I went to inhale through my nose when I stopped in mid-breath. Crap! I forgot to shower. I'd sprayed some cologne and put on more deodorant but I'd forgotten the shower! I was sure that Sean's mom could smell it. I normally didn't really care what people thought about me, but there are exceptions, and my best friends' mom was one such exception.
Sean
The moment Cody had gotten in the car I had noticed it. He was wearing that really awesome smelling cologne that he had gotten from the mall a few weeks ago. But I also smelled an underlying scent. A musky one. I breathed deeply. Sweat. Cody had, more than likely, forgotten to take a shower. Something that he always tried to do. My BFF liked to always be clean. I wouldn't mind getting him dirty again. Oh crap. My boner started popping up, so I raised my right leg up to fake tap to the beat of the song, secretly disguising my hardness.
I was just about to roll down the window to get some air when we pulled into the movie theatre parking lot. Wow, that was quicker than expected. My mom pulled into the parking spot. The parking lot was practically deserted. I opened my door and got out, Cody just a second behind me.
"Alright now what do ya'll want to see?" My mom asked.
"Uhhmmmm. How bout that one." I pointed to a zombie horror movie that looked cool.
"Alright, let's go buy the tickets." We set off across the parking lot when my mom's phone rang. "Yes, what is it?" she said. "What? What do you mean didn't get it done?" She was yelling into the phone now. "No! No, tell him that if he screws anything else up he's fired!" We could hear the other voice in the phone. Mom looked at me. Then Cody. "Alright, I'll be there in a second." She hung up. "Cody, how old are you now?" She smiled sweetly.
"Fourteen mam." Cody's amazing voice answered.
"So, you're old enough that if I had to go somewhere, you could make sure that Sean didn't get into trouble?"
"Of course mam. He won't get into trouble with me." He put on one of his trademark, shit-eating grins. I wanted to intercede that I was also fourteen, but it wouldn't have mattered.
"Okay good." She turned to me. "I'm sorry honey, I have to go take care of some business." She went to continue.
"It's ok mom." Ok? OK!? It's freakin' awesome is what it is. I can't believe my luck! Wahoo! "I understand." She fished around in her purse for a second.
"Here's forty dollars. Get the tickets, drinks, popcorn, whatever you want ok?"
"Okay, thanks mom." I smiled at her, trying to look a little put out for her sake so she wouldn't think I was just itching for her to leave.
"I'll be back when the movies over." She kissed my forehead. "Be good!" She yelled as she was walking back to her car.
As she pulled out of the parking lot my put out expression vanished in it's entirety. I turned to Cody, getting distracted for just a brief second in his sparkling hazel eyes. "Let's go see a movie."
We walked up to the box office, handed the guy the money, a bad complected red haired teenager with acne, and got our tickets. I went through the door first. Seeing an empty cashier manned by a fairly attractive looking girl chewing on bubblegum, I went over to that one. We got our drinks and popcorn, got our tickets checked, and walked into the movie room. It was practically as deserted as the parking lot, with only two other groups of people in it. One couple, one family. We got the back row seats because as long as noone really tall sits in front of you, you get the best view, and sat down.
I put my drink in my cupholder and turned to Cody who was just turning around in his seat with the popcorn in his lap. "You want me to hold it?" I asked him, gesturing to the popcorn.
"How about we do this." He smiled as he pulled up the armrest inbetween us and set the popcorn there.
"I didn't know that they could do that?" Hmm. Weird.
Cody
I wedged the popcorn in between myself and Sean. God it's torture being this close in a dark, almost empty movie theatre, with, in my opinion, the cutest boy on earth right beside me and be unable to do anything. The room got darker. The movie was starting.
Truth be told, I didn't really pay attention to the movie at all. I was more focused on timing my hand to reach for popcorn at the same time that Sean's did so we kept bumping hands in the popcorn. I loved the feel of his smooth hands. Sean wasn't pampered like a princess, but neither did he have a heavy work load around his house, so his hands were still really smooth.
Sean
His hand bumped mine again, and once again I didn't pull back. I left my hand brushing his until he pulled back. I was just about to reach for popcorn again when it hit me. Is this really happening? He wasn't in a big hurry to pull his hand away either. Could he really be... Like me? I reached my hand for popcorn again, no hand bumping this time. It was one of those boring parts of the zombie movies, the 'Listen, you've got to go on without me.' Then the girl says. 'No! I won't leave you!' Blah, blah, blah. I put my hand back for more popcorn, unfortunately, or fortunately, depending on your grasp of the big picture, a zombie jumped out of nowhere on the screen, scaring the living shit out of me because of it. The only time I went airborne in that entire movie from being scared, my arm jerked, knocking the popcorn into Cody's lap.
"Shit! Sorry Cody!" I whispered. I leaned over to brush off the popcorn.
"No no, I got it." Cody said, trying to brush the popcorn off, while at the same time brushing my hands away. Then I felt something.
Cody's hand shot out, grabbing my wrist, holding it in midair. I stared at my wrist for a second. Then I looked up into his eyes. Oh God!
Cody
It was an instinct, his hands brushing my legs free of popcorn. I didn't mean for it to happen. But then Sean brushed against my boner. My hand fired out of nowhere like a lightning bolt, grabbing onto his wrist. My hand wrapped around his wrist easily. I could feel the heat of his skin, could feel the heartbeat of my angel, could feel his gaze on my hand.
I looked up right as he looked up. I felt his pulse beginning to beat ninety to nothing. I knew he could see my cheeks blushing with the light of the movie. Some chick was being attacked. Who gives a fuck? Right now all that mattered was the cherubic angel who's face was six inhes in front of mine. I stared into the forest-green eyes of Sean. He stared back. And suddenly I knew. The last piece of the puzzle was fitted into place. I knew what he wanted me to do. And I had no problems giving it to him. I gulped. Blinked once. And tilted my head slightly to the left as he and I came forward. Our lips met once, tentatively. I opened my eyes and drew back just a bit to look at him. Then we came together again. The kiss longer, deeper, our hot lips collided with eachothers, the others only wish, to be closer to the other.
We seperated for a breath, I looked at his kiss swollen lips, his lively green eyes that looked like a kid's on Christmas. We both smiled at the same time. Nothing on earth could ruin this moment. I don't know why I did, but I looked over Sean's right shoulder and saw a man, in his forties, staring Sean and I down with a look of pure disgust on his face. Homophobe. I gestured with my head to the man. Sean turned, looked at him, then looked at me.
"Fuck him." He said, and we leaned together for another kiss. My right hand was rubbing circles in the small of Sean's back, he had now fully switched seats so he was straddling my crotch with his, while my left hand raised up, and I flipped the guy off. I could tell he was looking too because I heard his shudder. Then my left hand tangled itself in Sean's perfect blonde hair, pulling his head closer so our mouthes were crushing eachothers. We made out the entire rest of the movie.
Sean
I felt his lips melting against mine. This was the moment that we ceased to be Cody and Sean. We were Coan, or maybe Sody. I traced his lips with my tongue, he breathed in and I plummeted into his mouth. Mmm, he tasted like popcorn and sugar(from the soda)and smelled like a mixture of sweet and musk. I moaned. "Cody." I whispered. We had drew apart. He breathed heavily while looking to my right. He gave an impish smile and nodded his head. I turned around, looking at an old fart who was staring at us like a six year old at a zoo. I looked back into Cody's hazel eyes, bright with excitement. I grinned, matching his and said, "Fuck him." loud enough for the guy to hear. I felt his powerful, sure hands rubbing circles in my back, then I felt his other hand bury itself in my hair. I was pulled closer to his face, our lips were smashing together. For the first time in my life, I felt... I felt complete.
We were walking out of the movie, holding hands, I told him I needed to go to the bathroom.
"Should I go with you?" He asked, concerned.
"No, not 'that' kind of go to the bathroom." I smiled at him.
"That's not what I was talking about." He sounded worried.
"I'll be fine." I told him, turning to go into the restrooms. I went down to the next to last stall, I didn't like urinals. I always got splashed. Yuck. I pee-ed into the toilet, flushed, and went to wash my hands before I heard him.
"Faggot." I heard it, I knew who it had come from. At the last urinal down was the homophobe.
"Excuse me?" I wanted to play nice.
"What do you think you and your faggot friend are doing? Ruining that movie for everyone else just so you two can suck cock in the back row." He was standing over me now. He seemed really mad.
"Why does an impotent shit stain on society like yourself think they have the right to tell me and my boyfriend how to act in public?" I was matching his glare now. I didn't really know if this made Cody and I boyfriends, but I was willing to risk it.
"What did you just call me, you tiny little abomination."
"Which name? The one where I insulted your small penis or the one where I implied you were shit out your mom's ass when you were born?" I knew I was skating on thin ice, but I didn't care.
"As a priest of the Catholic church I have a right to preach to the hethens. Like you fags about how you're going to burn in hell." He grabbed a hold of my arm.
"You think people think gays are bad?" Someone opened the door. "You're a Catholic priest. Here's bad publicity for you." I whispered. "RAPE!! SOMEBODY HELP, THIS MAN'S TRYING TO RAPE ME!" I twisted out of his grasp, kicking him in the kneecap, bolting out the door, pushing the cop slightly as he was coming in to pee. "RAPE! THAT MAN TRIED TO RAPE ME!!!" I started shedding tears, for effect of course. The cop took one look at me, then at the man who just reached the doorway, running, and tackled the man as he was trying to get to me.
"Are you ok?" Cody ran up, and got on one knee in front of me. "What happened?" He was almost crying as he looked me in the eyes.
"Let's go." I didn't want to be here when the shit really hit the fan. I wouldn't mind missing that show. We walked out the door, my mom in her car, waving all happy like. My face busted out in a huge smile as we walked to her car. Cody looked at me. 'What the hell?' his eyes said. 'Later.' I tried to make mine say. Because, there definetly would be a 'later'.
Soo-oo what do you think? Personally, this chapter is my favorite. R&R to johnmeyerz36@yahoo.com I love my story, don't you?
