This is a personal fantasy involving Nick Carter and a fictional character based loosely on someone I know. It is not meant to imply the sexuality of anyone mentioned in this story. Please only read this if you are of age and are not offended by sex between two consenting people. I have not seen too many stories written involving Nick and a fictional character (other than Nick and Adam, which unfortunately hasn't been updated lately), so I decided to try my hand at this.

Me
I paused to wipe the sweat from my brow. Despite it being late November, the heat and humidity of New Orleans still got to me. I took a step back and admired my work. The blue paint of my car gleamed under the new coat of wax. I was frustrated, and when I'm frustrated, I always wax my car. The Backstreet Boys were coming to town in a few days, but I'm too sure that I could wait that long. God, I was impatient. I had backstage passes to meet my idol, the one and only Nick Carter. I sat down on the ground and let my thoughts drift to him.
My name is Andrew, and I'm 17 years old. I always knew I was different, ever since I was young. It had started out as the desire to be `friends' with guys, then as I got older, had progressed to full-grown crushes. No one knew that I was gay, I never acted like it. I had to be ultra-careful, because my parents would not have taken too kindly to it. So, I continued to date random girls in an attempt to cover up my true feelings. Not that it was that hard to do, I'm 6'2" with brown hair with sun-bleached blond streaks from my summer tanning sessions, I had been told that I was handsome, I just didn't see it. But that just didn't do it for me. I hated having to lie to people, but most of all, I hated being alone.
Just then, I saw my Dad's Suburban coming up the street. I quickly jumped up and resumed my waxing. He pulled into the garage and jumped out.
"Hey son, what are you doing?"
"Not much, just waxing my car."
"It looks really good. Did you do the Tahoe too?"
"Yeah, I did it this morning. Where is mom?"
He shrugged and replied: " I don't know. I would have thought she was home. Well, I'm going in."
He turned and walked into the house. I wiped down the car one more time to get rid of any streaks and pulled it into the garage. I slowly wandered back into the house, my mind never leaving his beautiful face.
The Next Day
The next day, I woke up early to go to school. The boys were to arrive today. I could hardly contain myself. I couldn't wait for the concert. School seemed to just drag on and on. Finally, the final bell rang.
After school, I had to go to work. I drove down Canal Street to pick up some supplies for a client. As the workers were loading the stuff into the back of my car, I saw two large purple buses pass by.
"That must be them!" I thought frantically.
Luckily, all the stuff was almost put away, so I could go. I jumped in a sped off toward the direction the buses were heading. I was so hyped up now. I had to see them. I continued to drive down Canal, until I saw one of the buses parked in front of the Mariott Hotel. Frantically, I turned off Canal onto a side street looking for a place to park. The only open place was a loading zone, but no one was around. I silently said a prayer to protect my car and the contents, and then I dashed off.
By now the bus had moved to the block behind the hotel, and it had parked. I walked by, pretending to just be another tourist. It was a large purple bus without any windows. Then I positioned myself at the entrance to the hotel, like I was waiting for someone. I soon saw someone leave the bus and walk into the hotel, but it wasn't the guys. Suddenly, my cell phone rang.
"Hello," I said.
"Andrew, where the hell are you?" my mom asked.
"On my way back from the store"
"Well you need to get to Matt's house to get his TV fixed. He's called like five times."
"Alright. Tell him I'm on my way."
Damn the home theatre business. Always urgent. Doesn't matter that I have a life too. I hurried back to the car, and slumped into the seat. As soon as I turned on the radio, I Want It That Way came on. Right at Nick's part too. I looked into the mirror at the bus and said softly, "I'll be back, don't worry."
Inside the New Orleans Mariott
"Damn I love this city," A.J. yelled happily as he flung his bag into his room, "New Orleans, watch out!"
"Damn I'm tired," Brian said wearily as he dragged his stuff from the elevator. "That bus ride was way too long."
"So, what are we doing tonight?" Kevin asked.
"Dinner and sleep for me," Brian replied.
"Me too," Howie chimed in.
"I'm gonna get me some," A.J. yelled, while making hip thrusts.
"Dude, you are a perv," Kevin laughed. "How about you Nick?"
Nick suddenly looked up from the floor, "Huh? What?"
"What are you doing tonight?" Kevin asked a bit impatiently.
"Oh, I guess I'll just get something from room service and sleep."
"Ok, sounds good. I'm outta here!" A.J. said excitedly as he jumped on the elevator.
"Well, we're gonna go somewhere close," Brian said. He and Howie entered the elevator along with A.J.
"I guess I'll go with you," Kevin added. "Nick, you sure you don't want anything?"
"Yeah, I'm fine," Nick said. He turned to go to his room.
Nick looked around the room before slumping down onto the bed. He had never had feelings like this before. He felt so alone.
"I wonder who he was..."
