Nick and The Altos, Part 1
Nick and the Altos, Part 1
Hello all you readers out there in Nifty Boybands Land. Here is yet another first time writer putting it out there and hoping people enjoy reading what has flowed through the keyboard. I have been reading stories on here for over a year and have some definite favorites and a few authors who have become wonderful friends. I typically don't read stories on line, I download them to my Rocket eBook so I can read them where and whenever I want. For those of you have not become hooked on this cool appliance, HTML documents are much easier to read than text docs, so I decided to learn a little HTML and voila... Turns out it is very easy. I found a really great online tutorial. I'm not even through the tutorial and I am submitting Part 1. Anyways, enough rambling on and on. Hope you like the story. Any comments are welcome. My email address is mikeylikesit80@hotmail.com.
Now I guess I need to incorporate some disclaimers in here. I doubt that anything I write here will make any difference since, if you found this little gathering place on the World Wide Web, you're probably going to go ahead and read what's here no matter what anyone says. But here it goes anyway...
If you have a problem reading about guys who like other guys as something more than just friends, you need to go find some other place to poke around. If you are under the legal age to read erotic fiction where you live, you probably wouldn't get in trouble for reading this story, but you really don't belong here. And most importantly, many of the names mentioned in this story have been changed to protect the guilty (or is that supposed to be the innocent?). Under no circumstances will I disclose whether or not I actually know any of The Backstreet Boys or any other celebrity who may make an appearance. This story is not intended to imply anything about the sexual orientation of any people mentioned in it. Furthermore, I don't believe in outing people, so I would not disclose any information about the true sexual orientation of anyone mentioned in this story, even if I were to know what that may be.
This is the story of how I met The Backstreet Boys. Even more important to me, it is about how Nick's and my friendship evolved. First, let me introduce myself. I'm Michael Alto, Jr. Most people call me Mikey; the only time I ever get called Michael is when someone is pissed at me. Fortunately, I don't have that happen all that much any more.
Now hopefully this won't come as too much of a shock to anyone reading this, but I'm gay! Now I know that one was a big shocker! This isn't exactly a hetero posting ground, you know. Now if you are looking for a story that contains a bunch of graphic descriptions of sexual acts, you are hereby warned that you won't find it in this story. I guess that sounds pretty weird for something that is going to get posted to an erotic story site. I don't get into reading stories like that so I don't plan on writing about the intimate details of what eventually happens between Nick and me.
Before I go any further, I guess I should tell you a bit more about myself. I'm 23 years old, 5' 9" tall, weight 155 pounds, and have sort of dirty blond hair and blue eyes. I don't spend much time in the gym, but I am in pretty good shape. My main physical activity is riding my bicycles. My parents and my younger sister, Angela, live in Montecito, California most of the time. Angela was ten years old when this story started. Actually it all started on her tenth birthday. I have an older brother, Jason, who has his own place in Montecito, and an older sister Jennifer who lives in Monterey, California. I am out to the whole family and everyone else I know for that matter. I graduated from CU (that's the University of Colorado -- the real one, it's in Boulder) two years ago with a degree in Computer Science. I work in Newport Beach, California and live about half way between there and Laguna Beach in an area known as Newport Coast.
I don't know how accurate the first part of this story will be. It is based completely on hearsay. I have talked at length with my father and older brother about the events that took place before I arrived at my family's place in Montecito on my little sister's birthday. I have also talked at length to Nick about what happened and have heard Brian, Kevin, Howie and AJ describe what happened. Needless to say everyone has somewhat different recollections of the events as they unfolded. I guess that is to be expected. If everyone remembered the exact same thing then I think that would mean they all got together and made up the story. And now, on with the show...
It was 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 27th, 2000. The crowd at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater was going wild as The Backstreet Boys ran off the stage after their third encore. This time the lights came up, letting the audience know that the show was over. The yelling and screaming continued for a few minutes, but gradually it began to die down as the crowds started heading towards the exits.
The guys had come running off the stage still feeling the rush from their performance. Once they got back stage they slowed down and walked to their dressing room. Once inside they began to relax. Howie and AJ grabbed seats on the couch. Kevin, Nick and Brian sat down in the comfortable chairs. For a couple of minutes they were silent and then Brian said "I am sssooooo glad we have two weeks off before our next concert. I am really beat."
Everyone else in the room echoed "Me, too."
"I think I could just sit here and relax for the next couple of weeks." Kevin said. "Whose great idea was it for us to cruise up to Colorado and go hiking?"
"Um, Kev, I think that was your great idea." Howie replied.
"I don't think so. It was Nick's idea." Kevin said with a straight face.
"Hey, what do you mean my idea!!!" Nick exclaimed, "I was sound asleep in my bunk when you guys planned the whole trip. Since when have you ever let me plan anything anyways. Jeez, then you go and blame it on me when you change your minds and don't wanna follow through with your plans."
Kevin grinned and said "Nicky, come on, I was just giving you a bad time. I still want to go to Colorado. You do too, don't ya?"
"I guess, but for once in my life I would like to be the one who gets to plan something. It's not like I haven't grown up, but you guys still treat me like a little kid."
"Well, Nicky, you do tend to spend most of your waking moments playing video games while we do all the work." AJ chimed in. "If you want to start getting involved you need to put away the games and show a little interest."
"Enough with the Nick bashing for the night, ok?" Nick says as he gets up from his chair and walks towards the buffet table. "Is any one else around here thirsty besides me?"
"I'll take a Pepsi."
"Make mine a Dr Pepper."
"Water for me."
"I could go for a Coke, Nicky."
Nick looks back over his shoulder at the four of them relaxing on the couch and in their chairs and says "Oh, and you want me to wait on you hand and foot, too, don't you!" He gets a chorus of "You got that right!" from the four of them. Nick sets up a tray with a variety of drinks and glasses and makes his way around the room. After grabbing a bottle of water for himself he announces "Since I'm up, I'm going to go take a shower. If you guys need anything while I'm gone, don't hesitate to get it yourselves."
Nick went into the bathroom and shut the door. He turned on the shower and then went over to the sink and brushed his teeth while he waited for the shower to get nice and hot. He took off his clothes and dropped them on the floor and stepped into the shower. He stood under the shower head and just let the hot water flow over his body for several minutes. Gradually he started to relax. As he began to lather up his body, he let his mind wander. Over the past couple of months he had been spending more and more time thinking about what the deal was with him. The guys thought he spent all his time playing video games, but that was really just a distraction to keep his mind off what he was afraid to think about. He was thinking about other guys. The guys he had seen in the audience at the shows and the various promotional events the band attended. Finally, he stopped washing himself and just stood there and tears came to his eyes. Why did he notice the guys instead of the girls. Sure, he liked talking to the girls and having fun with them, but it is the guys he couldn't put out of his mind when he lay in bed trying to go to sleep at night. Why couldn't he be like the rest of the guys and think about the girls they met.
Suddenly, Nick was startled by a pounding on the bathroom door as Howie yelled "Nick, hey Nicky, come on. The rest of us want to shower too. What did you do, fall asleep in there?"
Nick quickly rinsed the soap off himself and turned off the shower. He dried himself quickly, wrapped the towel around his waist, picked up his clothes from the floor and opened the door. "Sorry, Howie, I just sort of started day dreaming and lost track of time. It was just so relaxing standing in the shower."
"I'll bet!" AJ said. "I'll bet you were in there fantasizing about all the cute girls that were up front yelling your name tonight. Hope Howie didn't interrupt anything."
"Yeah, right, AJ, you're the one dreaming about all the little girls, not me." Nick says as he turns away and goes over to where he left his bag earlier and pulls out some clean clothes and starts getting dressed. No one notices as he fights back his tears. He packs his bag and picks up the dirty clothes and tosses them in the laundry pile and announces "I'm going on out to the bus. See you guys later."
After Nick leaves the room, AJ says to Brian and Kevin "Man, he sure is in a crappy mood these days. Wonder what his problem is?"
Brian replies "AJ, give him a break. It can't be easy being the youngest one of the group. Plus, the rest of us all have girl friends and Nicky doesn't. He is bound to feel a little left out and a bit touchy. Maybe you should lighten up on him."
"Yeah," says Kevin, "We all tend to give him a bad time. I know he knows we are just joking around, but it probably gets to him after a while. I think we all need to be a little more supportive of him and try to get him involved in planning what's happening. I'm not as bad about it as you are AJ, but I know I have had my moments."
"Fuck you, Kev." AJ laughed, "You known you are absolutely, without any doubt, the biggest hardass towards him of anyone. You're the one who needs to start mellowing out towards him, not the rest of us."
"Whatever... We all need to do our own part."
Over the course of the next hour, Brian, AJ and Kevin took their showers, changed into clean clothes and packed their bags. They finally headed out to the bus and didn't see Nick anywhere. Brian headed back towards the bunks and peeked into Nick's bunk and saw him cuddled up with one of his pillows. He headed back to the lounge area and let everyone know that Nick was already asleep in his bunk. They sat around and talked for another half hour as they waited for the remaining buses to be packed and the caravan was ready to depart.
What none of the guys nor anyone in their entourage noticed as the buses were being loaded, was the black Ford Taurus parked up on the hill overlooking the parking lot. The driver and passenger were both dressed in dark clothing and periodically were looking at what was going on in the parking lot through night vision binoculars. When they saw the four guys walk out of the building and head towards the bus, the passenger picked up his cell phone and placed a speed dial call. He said "They are in the bus with a big eagle painted on both sides near the back. We'll let you know when they pull out on the road. There are five buses in the group but it is the only one with the eagles." Nothing was said in reply and he ended the call quickly.
About 2:30 a.m. the buses started rolling. The bus in which the boys were riding was the third one in the caravan. They pulled out of the parking lot and headed towards I-405 Northbound. The buses, followed by the Ford Taurus, exited on Jamboree, turned North and got on the Toll Road over the Santiago Hills and picked up the 91 Freeway. After a few miles they merged on to I-15 headed towards Las Vegas. Traffic was very light at that time of the night. The passenger in the Taurus picked up his phone and dialed. Once the phone was answered he said "They are in the third bus. Pull them off the freeway just before the Cajon Grade. No one will be suspicious of buses pulled over there."
About twenty minutes later, the five buses moved into the center lane of the freeway to pass four semi rigs. The Taurus followed them around the semis. As soon as the buses were back in the right lane, the semis accelerated and began to pass the buses. The first semi merged back into the right lane just in front of the third bus and started slowing. Two of the semis stayed in the second lane and the fourth semi pulled in behind the last bus, successfully boxing in the last three buses. The semis began slowing down and then forced the buses on to the wide shoulder and came to a stop.
As soon as they stopped, a dozen men in dark clothing jumped from the lead semi and ran back to the buses. Two men forced open the door on the first bus in which the boys were sleeping. Then they and six others climbed aboard the bus. They immediately smashed the driver's radio and took his cell phone. One stayed with the driver and the others went back to the sleeping quarters and awakened the boys. The other four men split up into two teams and forced their way on to the other two buses. They smashed the radios and also took the drivers' cell phones. As this was going on a large helicopter that had been following a mile behind them landed next to the boys' bus. The pilot kept the rotor spinning as he waited.
The driver of the boys' bus heard all kinds of commotion from the back of the bus.
"What the fuck is going on?"
"Who the hell are you?"
"What's the deal?"
The men who boarded the bus ordered the boys to get out of their bunks and grab some clothes. Then they taped the boys' wrists with duct tape and told them to exit the bus. They pushed them towards the helicopter and ordered them to climb on board. Reluctantly, the boys did as they were told. As soon as they were seated, the door was closed and the helicopter took off and headed back in the direction from which they had just come.
The men jumped back into the lead semi and all four accelerated away from the buses. At the next off ramp they all exited. Two of the semis headed back on the Southbound side of the freeway. At the fork a few miles down the freeway, one took the I-15 and the other took the I-215. The other two trucks headed off on a state highway and separated within five miles.
The first two buses went nearly ten miles before they were able to turn around and head back to find the trailing buses. Unable to reach the other buses on the radio or by phone, they didn't know what was going on. When they saw the buses on the Northbound lane shoulder, they pulled off on to the shoulder for the Southbound lanes. Exiting the buses, the boy's security detail ran across the freeway and discovered the boys were missing. They immediately contacted the California Highway Patrol and reported the incident.
Meanwhile, aboard the helicopter, Kevin shouted angrily at the two men riding with them "What the fuck is going on? Where are you taking us?"
One of the men replied "Just keep quiet. It will take us about an hour to get to where we are headed and then everything will be explained to you."
AJ glared at the man and yelled "You are going to pay for this, asshole!"
The man just ignored him. The boys rode in silence as the helicopter flew North over Los Angeles. After about an hour it started to slow and descend. It landed on a brightly lit pad surrounded by oak and eucalyptus trees. As soon as the helicopter touched down the lights were extinguished and the door opened. Six men were waiting and guided the boys down a long path and through a large door in a tall stucco wall. Although there were no lights on, there was enough moonlight for the boys to see they were in a walled compound in front of a huge Spanish style villa. They were led across the large stone patio and as they approached the house, a door was opened from inside. They walked into a large room. There were two long leather couches facing each other that were perpendicular to a massive fireplace. There were two large leather chairs at end of the couches facing the fireplace. Two walls had bookshelves from the floor to the ceiling.
A tall, slender man was standing at the far end of the room looking out the window into the gardens. After the boys and the men had been waiting a couple of minutes, he turned around and walked towards them. When he was about five feet away he said, "I am Michael Alto. Welcome to my home. I would like to thank you for coming. I know you must be exhausted, so my staff will show you to your suite. We will talk in the morning and I will explain why I have summoned you. Don't worry, as long as you cooperate, no harm will come to you and you will be free to go in 48 hours. Again, please accept my gratitude." He turned and headed towards one of the doors.
Kevin yelled after him, "Who the fuck are you and what makes you think we are going to put up with this shit!"
The man turned around and said "Please keep your voice down. Most of my household is asleep. I understand your anger but I mean you no harm. Please go to your rooms and sleep. Someone will come and get you when it is time for breakfast." He turned quickly and walked out of the room.
The man who was the apparent leader of the guards took over. "Okay, guys. We can do this the easy way or the hard way. Mr. Alto said you would be able to leave in two days without being harmed. We will remove the tape on your wrists and take you up to your suite. All of your needs will be met. Act like gentlemen while you are here and no harm will come to you. That's the easy way. If, however, you try anything or attempt to harm anyone on the premises, you will pay the price. I can guarantee you that each and everyone of my men is stronger than all of you put together. Do we have an understanding?"
AJ angrily responded, "You assholes are going to wish you never heard of us!"
Kevin quickly interjected "AJ, calm down. We are obviously outnumbered here. Let's all go to bed and see what happens tomorrow morning."
"It's not like I like this situation," Howie says, "but there doesn't seem to be much we can do about it tonight. I agree with Kev."
Both Brian and Nick reply "Me, too."
That's it for Part 1 of Nick and The Altos. I'll be back soon. If you have any comments, email me at mikeylikesit80@hotmail.com. Thanks for reading. Mikey
