Hi. If you're younger than 18, exit out... OR ELSE THE CYBER POLICE WILL COME AFTER YOU... :D If you're of legal age, then enjoy. I'll write more upon request, so shoot me an e-mail. Criticism is welcome. xxcriticalacclaimxx@hotmail.com

I was well aware of the potential trouble that I could get in if I was caught, but I was willing to take my chances. I bought a semi-legitimate fake ID off of a friend of a friend, and after much procrastination I had decided that it was time to put it to good use. I sat in my black Jeep Wrangler outside of the corner store. My best friends Robin, Naomi, and Kristin had come along to support me. Robin was sitting in the front seat tapping her fingers on the window along to the music that was softly playing. Naomi and Kristin had unbuckled their seat belts and attempted to get me riled up.

"Dude, you've totally got this. You're a badass motherfucker." Screamed Kristin at the top of her lungs. "What are you afraid of? I mean come on, you're hot, you can totally pull it off..how old does it say you are?" She questioned as she pushed Naomi out of the way and leaned in between the driver and passenger seat to grab the wallet out of my hand.

"Retard." Naomi playfully hissed.

Kristin studied my ID for a moment. "Okay..yeah, you can totally pull off twenty-two. Just act chill when you're in there." She beamed as she handed the wallet back to me.

"Hurry the fuck up because I need a drink." Murmured Robin. She kicked off her shoes and stretched her legs up onto the dashboard. She turned up the music and closed her eyes.

"Listen, listen. You've got your information memorized, right?" Asked Naomi. I nodded. "You're confident?" I flashed a smile.

"Then go!"

"Alright. I'm going to get an eighteen pack of Bud Light Lime" I announced as I opened the door.

"I FUCKING LOVE THAT SHIT." Yelled Kristin as she flung herself in the drivers seat, almost kicking Naomi in the face.

I walked up to the double doors of the store. I checked my appearance in the reflection of the glass. I took a last look at my car and saw Kristin's face pressed up against the glass window. I couldn't help but laugh at how silly she looked- her nostrils were squished against the glass and she was laughing like a fool. Her breath caused the window to condense. I giggled as I pulled the door open.

I checked out my surroundings and assessed the situation. I was the only one in the store besides the cashier, who was a twenty-something year old guy. He had a few tattoos on his arm, and he sported a tight black v-neck. His face was angular and his eyes were bright. He looked incredibly bored.

I smiled at him, and he gave me a glance-over and a quick nod. He didn't seem like he'd be the kind of person that would question my ID, so I proceeded to the back of the store where I spotted the alcohol. I grabbed the eighteen pack out of the cooler, and almost dropped it because of the unexpected heaviness. I'm a small little thing! I started getting nervous as I walked to the counter with the alcohol, but I calmed myself down. "If he tells you that he's not going to sell to you, just walk out calmly", I reassured myself.

I took a breath and I set the alcohol on the counter. I stared directly at him, I didn't break the eye contact out of fear that he'd be able to tell that I was scared shitless.

"ID?" He asked.

I feel like he could see right through me. I feel like I have some sort of sign over my head that blatantly stated my age. "HELLO, I'M 18 YEARS OLD" in bright red fluorescent letters. I pulled it out of my back pocket, and set it on the counter. My heart started to beat violently in my chest. I could feel the blood rushing to my head. I held my breath as he leaned closer to my ID. He analyzed it for a few moments.

"Cool."

I gasped.

He rang up my beer, and we finished the transaction.

"Thank you." I said in a daze.

I walked out of the store with the 18 pack in hand.

As I walked to my car I heard Kristin yell "SHE MADE IT OUT ALIVE." I smiled as I realized that this was the first time that I had purchased alcohol on my own. How exhilarating. I feel like I've accomplished some sort of crazy task. I felt more mature. I opened up the back door and I set the alcohol on Kristin, who had flung herself into the back seat.

"How did it go?" The three of them practically asked at the same time.

"I wasn't nervous until I started walking up to the counter...I broke out in a cold sweat when the cashier was checking out my ID. It was easy, I guess. I felt like he could see right through me, though." I replied.

"Meh, you're totally chill. Lets get drunk." Said Robin smugly.

The three of us noticed Robin's negativity, but I was the only one that understood why she was acting so strange. When Kristin and Naomi questioned her about it, Robin played it off on a fight that she had had with her sister. But I knew what was really up.

As I sat in the passenger seat, I looked at solemn Robin and recalled the conversation we had last night. She had called me crying, which scared the shit out of me. At first she was incoherently babbling as she tried to reiterate the few hours leading up to the phone call through sobs. I remembered trying to calm her down to the point where I could understand her language, which took some time. Once she had collected herself, she told me that her mother had found out about her sexuality.

Nancy Marie Kane was a hard working woman. I never really saw much of her, but from what I could tell, she never rested. She was stern and serious, there wasn't a hint of happiness or love in her soul. She was very orderly, and from the outside it seemed like everything in her life was kept in perfect position- her house was absolutely spotless. She was meticulous about almost everything: the books on her shelves had to be ordered alphabetically, she created labels for the compartments in the refrigerator, the dishes in the dishwasher had to be facing the same direction, there had to be three logs in the fireplace at all times. Nancy worked her ass off. She was rarely at home, and when she was, she locked herself in her study to deal with business. She worked for a marketing company, and her position dealt with international exports, so she traveled around the globe frequently. Nancy and Robin only talked when necessary: grades, Robin's car, and money were usually the topics of discussion.

From what Robin told me, and from what I gathered from my own observation, Nancy failed miserably at being a loving mother. Their distance created a heavy void in Robin's life and she did a good job at hiding it from the rest of the world. Robin made it clear that she didn't want to talk about their relationship, so we never brought it up.

I listened intently as Robin spoke to me over the phone. Her voice was shaking, she breathed into the speaker, and she spoke slow.

"I'm listening. Tell me what's going on." I said, calmly.

"She found out." She said in a hushed whisper. She sounded so fragile, so incredibly little. My heart went out to her. To hear her in such pain made me as equally depressed. I longed to hold her.

"How?"

"She didn't tell me exactly how she found out, but I pieced it together." She said in between a few sniffles. "I was doing homework earlier at the kitchen table. I left all of my shit there while I went to my cello lesson. When I came back my mom had reorganized all of it. I'm guessing she went through my binder and saw the photo of us." The photo that Naomi took of Robin and I kissing appeared behind my closed eyelids.

"So she brings it up during dinner. She didn't say a word until I started to get up to bring my dish to the kitchen. She told me to sit back down. And I totally knew that something was wrong. She just straight up asked me, `Robin, are you a lesbian?' I just sat there dumbfounded...I mean like, you know that I'm afraid of her.. you know how she is, Polly. You know how fucking scary she is. I didn't know what to say, Polly. I just sat there like a fucking fool, I was just staring, and all she did was stare right back at me, and I started panicking and I thought that I was going to fucking die, I swear to you it was the worst thing." She said, completely out of breath.

"That's all that happened?" I asked.

"Yeah. I didn't know what to do so I just left the table and went to my room. And now I'm here. I've been playing it over and over again in my head and I just can't stop thinking of it. I feel so stupid." There was a pause.

"I'm scared, Polly."

"Listen. Listen to me. Everything is going to be okay. It's not the end of the world. This can't be a big deal, she's a logical person. What's she going to do anyway? She practically leaves you be all of the time. She's probably just as shocked as you are, I'd give it a day or two, let it sink in. Everything is going to be okay, Robin. I promise."

"Are you sure?" Robin asked in the smallest voice.

"I'm positive." I replied.

"I'm changing the song Robin, this music is too depressing to be listening to on such a GREAT FUCKING DAY." Said Kristin with emphasis, as I snapped back into reality.

"Put on Crystal Castles." Suggested Naomi.

I started the car and backed it out of the lot, and headed towards Robin's house.

Naomi, Kristin and I danced along to the music all the way to Robin's house.

As I pulled into the driveway, I looked over at Robin as she stared blankly out the window. I leaned over and grabbed her hand, gave it a squeez, and smiled.

"Cheer up." I said. She kept her face towards the window, ignoring my affection. I gave up and pulled away. I didn't let her attitude get to me because I knew that what had happened was taking a toll on her. I was worried about her wellbeing, but I knew that she wasn't going to say anything about it until we were alone.

"Who's home, Robin?" Asked Naomi as she eyed the beer eagerly.

"Nancy is in Arizona on business. My sister is probably already drunk. We have the house to ourselves for the next couple weeks." She replied without a hint of liveliness in her voice.

"If I don't have a beer in my hand within the next forty seconds I'm literally going to go fucking batshit crazy. Lets go." Kristin said hysterically as she threw open the car door. She grabbed the beer and ran into Robin's house. I chuckled at the fact that she didn't even bother concealing the alcohol. That's what I loved about Kristin, she just did whatever she wanted.

"HURRY UP SLOW POKES!" Yelled Kristin. She had been waiting at the door while the rest of us grabbed our bags out of the trunk. Robin jogged to the door and unlocked it. I heard the house alarm go off as I walked in, and the familiarity of the noise that the buttons made when disarming it.

"Where are we drinking?" I asked the group as we ran up Robin's stairs.

"How about the roof?" Kristin suggested.

"I'm going to freeze my fuckings tits off. No way." Naomi said.

We changed into a more comfortable attire in Robin's room and eventually ended up cracking open a few beers, relieving the tension and stress from the previous school week. Our endeavors led us to the coziness of the living room, where we blasted music and danced around. Robin made us all a few cocktails with the alcohol that her mother owned, and for a while we pretended to be sophisticated women with our drink in hand.

We were all tipsy by 8 o'clock, but Kristin had challenged us to shotgun three beers each, which we undoubtedly accepted. After we shotgunned the beers we were practically finished off. Kristin's inhibitions went out the window, which was more or less all of the time (sober or not), and she did the silliest strip-dance ontop of the coffee table. Naomi laughed so hard that her beer came out of her nose, which in turn made me almost piss myself. Naomi passed out face first in the couch, and Kristin was curled up in the fetal position on the kitchen table.

I had the spins and I was fighting off the blackness but I longed to be alone with Robin. I eyed her as she got up from the couch.

"Want some water?" She asked, without looking at me.

"Yeah, yeah. That would be lovely. Thank you." I replied.

She had been giving me the cold shoulder all day. I felt like she resented me for being half of the reason why her mother caught her. If she hadn't been kissing me in that photo, she wouldn't have to be going through this. It felt like shit and I wanted it to end because she meant more to me than any possession that I owned or any person that I knew.

I heard her drunkenly tinker around in the kitchen, grabbing glasses from the cabinet, filling them up with water, stumbling into something, and there she appeared in the doorway. She avoided eye contact as she walked over to me. I stood up as she bent down to hand me my cup.

"Robin." I said forcefully. "Stop whatever you're doing, I don't like it. I haven't done anything." I said, as I moved closer to her face. I grabbed both of the glasses out of her hand and set them on the coffee table. . I stared into her eyes as she averted her gaze. "Please?" I pleaded. I took a step closer and wrapped my arms around her. At first she was limp, but after a few moments I felt her slide her arms around my waist. We stood like that for a few minutes until I realized that I was dozing off.

I stepped out of our hug and grabbed her by the hand to lead her up the stairs. We both had a hard time making it up. We both carelessly stumbled all over the place, knocking into pictures frames, tripping up the steps. Once we made it into he room I located my bag and searched for my toothrbush, which was a challenge because I was drunk as fuck. Robin and I brushed our teeth side by side. I noticed that her eyes were bloodshot. I drooled toothpaste a little bit as I watched her beautiful blue eyes dart around while she brushed her own teeth. Realizing that I had stopped paying attention to myself, I continued taking care of my oral business. Robin stepped out of the bathroom as I started washing my face.

When I was finished I walked back into the room. The street lamps were the only source of light- making it really difficult for me to see. I saw Robin's figure on the bed. I stood there as I watched her pat the empty space beside her.

"Come." She whispered.

I stood there, staring at her. I took her beckoning as an incentive to strip, so with two graceful swoops I undressed myself. I was too drunk to figure out how to unhook my own bra, so I ungracefully yanked it off. She giggled as she watched my struggle. I threw my bra at her and crawled into bed. I reached out to her, grabbing the nearest body part- which happened to be her upper torso. I felt bare skin, which invited me to explore more. Was she wearing sweats? I was going to find out. I dragged my hand from her upper body slowly and deliberately to her hip bone. I inched my fingers down a little bit to assess the situation. No sweats. No underwear.

We were both in the nude and that's how I liked it. I leaned forward and kissed her neck. Robin exhaled as I bit down and reached for her upper thigh- teasing her a little as I awaited for more confirmation from her body. She adjusted her legs to accommodate me. I felt her spread her legs, the invitation that I was looking for. I knew exactly what she wanted.

My stomach was pressed against the right side of her body. I wrapped my left leg around hers, so I could grind myself into her. I slid my hand up to her crotch,
