This story is a work of fiction. any similarities are completely coincidental. 'Ok.' contains love and sex between teenage boys. Any mention of celebrities or characters from tv is not an assumption of their sexuality. The obvious thing if you don't like this is to go somewhere else. If it is illegal to read this where you're from please do the same. It also contains some coarse language, just coz it's hard to write naturally without writing the way I speak. Overall I'd rate it M for mature audiences, so if you're not old enough to be here, please seriously consider not being here. This is my first public submission, but please don't hold back. If you'd like to send me an email, I look forward to it - addisyn.draco@gmail.com. Thanks to Nifty, who do an amazing job helping writers be read. Donate if you can!
The End?
It was like dejá vu. My apocalyptic dream was playing out right in front of me. I couldn't find Ax, fire was raining from the sky, buildings and people burned all around me. The sky was as black as tar. I look at my watch and it's 2pm. I looked around to see if I could find Dyl. He was about 500 metres away, running. A fireball loomed in the sky over him, and he began to shift into wolf mode. He wasn't quick enough, because the fireball caught up to him and incinerated him on the spot. I drop to my knees, tears falling like the fire that is destroying everything. I let out a guttural scream and accidentally blow up several cars close to me. Who cares anyway, nothing matters now. Then something weird happened. Everything stopped and started going in reverse. People that were burnt gradually began to reforming and coming back to life. I run to The place that Dyl... Well... Where he was. I watched as the ash turns back to Dyl, and the fire that had enveloped him returns to the sky. Then time stopped going backwards and simply paused. I don't know who had made time reverse, but it certainly wasn't me.
I grab Dyl and run, breaking the time-freeze and resuming the brutal onslaught. Fire is still raining, so I concentrate really hard on teleporting Dyl and I to the hotel room. Maybe Ax is in there...
It works, and we drop into the room like two sacks of shit. Seto runs up and starts licking Dyl's face.
"Awww, Seto! Stop that this isn't really the time. The world is ending, you know?" He whines, causing Seto to tackle him and start licking more. Eventually, he gave up and went to lie down on the couch.
"He's quite aware of the looming end of days. He's a dragon, made of the sky, he knows basically everything about..." I start to say. "That's it! Dragons! They are made from clouds by magic. So, they're inherently magical. With the four of us and Our dragons, we might have enough magic to prevent this. Or at least find out why it's happening. Just in case, I think I might have to give you a dragon." The look on Dyl's face was priceless. And, for probably the first time, he was speechless.
"Dude... I don't... Thank you man... Fuck... Thanks..." He babbled. "I mean, you just did something to save my life, I think, and now you're giving me a dragon?"
"Yeah man. You could be the one person I needed to save to stop this thing. Seeing into the future is tricky, because you're only seeing a possible future. And I didn't anticipate someone reversing time to just before you died. That helped." I said. I noticed tears in his eyes, and took a note to ask him where Vlad is later.
"What? Who could have reversed time?"
"I don't know. I only know of two people with that much power, and even then, they would have to combine their powers. And they would sooner kill eachother than work together." I muse.
"Axyl and Zayk?" Dyl asks.
"Yep. And I don't know where Ax is, let alone Zayk." I reply. Then, something happened. I wasn't entirely sure what it was, until I looked out window and saw Ax and Zayk floating, extinguishing fireballs by chanting something. After about 5 minutes of this, the black clouds start to dissipate, eventually disappearing completely. I ate my words, and turned to Dyl and said. "Well, I've been wrong before. Not often, but it's happened." He cracked up laughing, obviously relieved that we weren't all dying today. Which reminded me,
"Where's Vlad?" I ask, timidly. The smile on his face vanished, replaced with a flood of tears. 'Shit.' I thought.
"He's...sniff...gone...I couldn't..save...him." He manages to say. I grab him by the shoulders and hold him tight. He cries on my shoulder, letting it all go. I hold him for about 10 minutes, until the door opens and Ax and Zayk walk in.
"Woah, boys, save some for us." Zayk says, winking at us.
"Dude, I know you just helped save the world and all, but now isn't a good time." I say politely, trying not to upset him. We all know what he's like when he's upset.
"Oh God, no." Ax gasps, putting two and two together. "Vlad?" Dyl just nods, and remains surprisingly strong. He must have out-cried himself.
"Shit, Puppy, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean..." Zayk attempts to say, then just stops himself. Probably the best decision he ever made.
A painful, awkward silence fell upon us. It was obvious and horrible. Zayk was the only one that didn't know Vlad, so he was itching to say something. I glared at him and magically forced him to keep his mouth shut. No one knew what to say to make Dyl feel better, and the destruction we all saw was playing on our minds.
Ax broke the silence.
"That was not a natural event. Fire doesn't just rain from the sky, It's not possible. If they were meteors, then why aren't there any rocks in the ground?"
"You're right." I replied, "there was some kind of magical force causing it. I was thinking it was Zayk, but seeing as he helped stop it, it has to be someone else. Why did you help anyway, Zayk? I thought you had a strict 'don't help at all costs' policy."
"Well, I do, but the world was gonna be destroyed. And the world is where I keep all my stuff, so it was kind of a no brainer." Zayk said, which made Dyl smile. I didn't think he would ever smile again.
I couldn't wrap my head around what could have caused such a strange event. Then it clicked. Dragons. They breathe fire and can fly, so they're pretty much the only logical candidate. But that would mean that there is another dragon master out there somewhere. Unless there is someone more evil than Zayk out there, with the ability to make it rain fire. At least I can control dragons...
Zayk was trying his very best to come across as the good guy, but I just couldn't see it. But he was making Dyl smile, at least. He is kinda funny. Ax told me that Zayk realised that he was going about it all wrong, and he wanted to make it up to us. I wasn't sure about it, but I thought I'd better let him try. He is Ax's brother, after all.
