I don't know the Backstreet Boys, or N'Sync, nor is this story meant to imply anything about their sexuality, their private lives or their life choices. Please don't take any of this seriously, it is just a story, nothing more. Nothing in this story is real, it is the product of the author's imagination. That's enough disclaimers I think...
Now some suggestions, seeing as everyone else seems to be doing it. I think the referees and linesmen have been really harsh in this tournament, and often they need their eyes checked. Anyway, the US made it further than anyone expected, so well done on that! Now, here's chapter 48...
On The Streets - Part 48
Jared's Point of View<<<
Kevin let out a whoop of delight, and sprung up from the chair, he pulled me up, and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me in tight. He was holding me so tight, I could barely breathe. I'm gonna admit something now - saying 'yes' to marrying Kevin wasn't a big thing for me. I knew that I was going to spend the rest of my life with Kevin, I knew that I was going to marry him as soon as I got up the nerve to tell him about my brothers. That just happened to be sooner rather than later. Kevin started spinning me around and around. He was planting kisses on my left cheek. Finally, he put me down on the ground, and leant in and kissed me. Hard. He had his hands on my back, and was pulling me in, and holding me tight. I have to admit, it felt good. Kevin was obviously so excited by it all, he just didn't want to let me go.
After a couple of minutes, my brothers started clearing their throats, getting louder and louder, and Kevin and I separated our lips. We leant and touched our foreheads together. "I love you." Kevin said.
"I love you too." Kevin tilted his head slightly from side to side.
"Oh damn, I was going to make the night I proposed to you really romantic, I'm sorry, I should have waited." Kevin mumbled.
"Kevin, I don't care. I'm just happy that you actually asked me again." I told him.
"Of course I'd ask you again Jared. I love you." He smiled, and leant forward to give me another kiss on the lips. I heard Adam and Seth getting up, and I looked over.
"Our plane leaves in about 4 hours, we'd like to get a couple of hours sleep before we have to get up." Adam said as he walked up the stairs ahead of Seth.
"Sure, we'll wake you guys up in a couple of hours." Kevin said. I nodded as well, and said goodnight to them both, and they disappeared up the stairs. It was just after 2:45 now, we had to wake them up about 5:30 to catch their plane. We sat down on the couch and started talking. "I can't believe you said yes." Kevin said. He ran the back of his hand down the side of my face.
"Well, I told you there were things you had to know, and once you knew them we could get married. This was the last thing, or rather, they were the last things." I smiled at him. Kevin chuckled, and then smiled, and shook his head. "What? What's the matter?"
"I just can't believe it. I'm going to marry you, a real marriage, and I'm going to live my life with you." That's when it hit me. My life. My entire life, I would be with Kevin, the man I loved, the one I needed, the one I gave myself completely to. I looked into his eyes, and saw complete adoration, and I jumped him. I literally pounced onto him, and started kissing him. He was shocked, that much was obvious, as he put his hands on my chest, and started pushing me off, but gradually he relaxed, and gave into me, and we kissed for a long time. "Wow! What was that for?" Kevin asked me with a smile. "Not that I'm complaining!"
"I don't know, I just snapped. I just realised..." Wow. I'd never felt this strongly before. Wow, I didn't want it to stop, so I just leant in and kissed Kevin again, hard. I pulled his shirt off of him, and we worked together to get mine off. I started to kiss Kevin on the neck, I could feel his pulse getting faster, and his breathing getting ragged through my lips on his neck.
"Wow, I don't know what this is, but I don't care if you never stop this!" Kevin said. I felt the vibrations of the words going through my lips as I kissed his neck again and again. I worked my way down his collar bone, and his shoulder, and over his chest. I sucked on his right nipple, and it became hard in my lips. I ran my hands up and down his abs, scratching slightly. I put my hands on his upper legs, and felt the firm muscles there, and then reached to the button of his jeans. I went up and kissed him on the lips again, as I pulled him out of his jeans and boxers at the same time. He moaned into my kiss slightly, and I realised that his dick was being pulled the wrong way by the waistband of the boxers. I carefully pulled them outwards, and his dick swung up again with a thunk against his abs. I looked down at it, and looked up again. We smiled at each other, then continued kissing. He ran his hands up and down my back, scratching slightly, as his ankles shook off his jeans, and they dropped to the floor by the couch. He grabbed the trousers I was wearing which had an elasticised waist band, and he just pulled them out and hooked them under my butt, and started kneading my butt. Our cocks were grinding together, and we were both moaning into our deep kiss.
I pushed him back onto the couch, and knelt between his legs on the couch. I leant forwards, and started kissing his cock. "Oh God Jared!" He moaned. I started taking the head into my mouth, and then started swallowing more and more down my throat. I think he realised that I was just getting him ready though. I left trails of saliva over his cock and pulled off. I reached up to kiss him, and he grabbed me by the waist. "Now, it's no fair, you getting me ready and not the other way round now, is it?" He said with a grin. He jerked on my hips, and they moved closer, so that I was practically straddling his neck. He pushed the upper half of my body back suddenly, so that the back of my thighs were back against my calves Suddenly he flipped me back again, and my legs were over his shoulders, and he was sitting up, and his face was right next to my butt. He licked my butt! We hadn't done this before! We'd always used our fingers to loosen one another up, but he was rimming me. One of my past boyfriends had a thing for this, but Kevin had never done it. It felt amazing, and my cock was dribbling down my abs.
"Oh God Kev!" I moaned. He stopped after a minute or two, and pushed me slightly so my head was against the arm of the couch, and then, while I was still enjoying the afterglow of the rimming, he slid into me. I moaned again, and clung onto his back. my eyes started to glaze over, and his tongue sank into my mouth. We swapped tongues back and forth for a moment, and when I opened my eyes again, I could see him so clearly, he was beautiful, really beautiful. "Oh Kev, I love you so much, thank you for asking me to marry you."
"I love you too Jared, you mean everything to me. I never want to lose you." A tear rolled down his cheek, and I pulled his face to mine, and kissed it away. I could feel my eyes get watery too, but I just blinked it away. He carried on pushing into me, then he pulled out, rotated his hips a little, and hit my prostate, I gasped, and he got a smug grin on his face, then he pushed back in. He carried on varying the tempo he pushed into me, thank god for musicians! And I was practically euphoric. I was moaning, and my eyes started closing, I could barely keep them open, but then with one hand he grabbed my chin, and held it so my face was lined up with his. He put his forehead down, so it was resting on mine. "I want to see into your eyes when you cum." He growled huskily. After another five minutes or so, I was close, and he had both hands on my shoulders, holding me in place as he rutted into me, I was loving it. Finally, in one last groan of ecstasy, Kevin plunged his thick cock inside me, and spewed cum all over my insides. I loved it, and as his cock bulged to expel his seed, it sent me over the edge. The added friction of the extra thickness excited me no end. I shot cum over my abs and pecs, and Kevin leant down and licked the bits he could reach into his mouth. He fell forwards onto me, and my legs wrapped tighter around his. His deflated cock gradually slipped out of my ass. We continued kissing, until finally falling asleep, smiles on both of our faces.
"Awww, isn't that sweet! Now we've seen both their butts!" I heard a voice say. "So, Michelle, who do you think has got the better one?"
"Hmm. I'm not too sure, I think Jared obviously works out more, but I think Kevin's got the nicer, rounder shape." I heard the other voice answer.
"Huh?" I said, as I tried to open my eyes. When they finally listened to what my brain was telling them, I saw the figures standing over us. When my brain clicked, I realised that Adam and Seth were leaning over the back of the couch, and Michelle and Lara were sitting on the coffee table. "Hey!" My voice woke Kevin, whose eyes opened suddenly, and almost immediately caught on to what was going on.
"Hey! Do you guys mind? A little privacy? At least until we can get some clothes on?" Snickering followed, but Michelle and Lara walked into the kitchen, the door swinging behind them. My brothers stayed, resting their heads on the back of the couch. I raised an eyebrow at them.
"What? It's not like it's nothing we haven't seen before!" Seth said with a grin.
"Yes it is! You have never seen Kevin naked!" Suddenly Adam got a devious grin on his face, I never liked it when he got that. Adam wasn't as playful or joking as me or Seth, but when he got a trick or joke in mind, it was generally pretty good, and sudden.
"Well, I don't know, we've seen half!" He raised his hand, and I tensed up, and he brought it down, and it let out a clap as it slapped Kevin across the ass!
"Yow!" Kevin shouted as he jumped up, rubbing his ass.
"And there's the other half!" Adam said smiling. I sat up, put two fingers on Adam's forehead, and pushed, hard.
"Get out doofus! Give us a chance to pull some clothes on." They both stood up, snickering, Kevin had realised he was standing naked in front of my brothers, and had turned, blushing. He was still far more modest than me, and I realised that what Adam did may have upset him, quite badly, but then I saw the look on his face as he rubbed his ass. "What's wrong Kevin?"
"Ummm...that slap." Kevin said, still rubbing his ass. "Well, it actually hurt. A lot." He continued. "I don't know whether he meant it to, but he brought his hand down pretty damn hard!" I grabbed Kevin's wrist, and pulled it away from his ass, and there was Adam's hand print. Now that's to be expected - a slap will almost always bring out a handprint, but this handprint was turning blue and purple - he had actually hit hard enough to bruise Kevin.
"Adam! Get out here NOW!" I shouted at the top of my voice. Adam came to the door, with Seth looking over his shoulder, and I could hear Lara and Michelle behind, saying something. "Adam get in here. The rest of you stay in the kitchen." Adam walked in, and the rest of them hung back, the door swung shut. Adam saw immediately what I was going to tell him off about, and cringed. "Did you realise how hard you hit Kevin?" I shouted at him.
"I promise I didn't! Oh Geez! That looks bad, Kevin, I'm so sorry, I just lifted up my hand, and brought it down, I didn't realise I was bringing it down so hard. Oh my god, that's bruising bad! Jared, Kevin, I'm sorry, I...I... I mean, I just..." Kevin turned slightly, and I think he saw the expression on Adam's face. It was the same expression I wore when I realised I made a big mistake. And this wasn't just a mistake, this was like a faux-pas too - he'd basically hit the guy whose house he had been staying in. Kevin grabbed his boxers which he had noticed were lying on the floor where we'd left them, and pulled them on. Adam was looking down at the floor, he was trying to retain a straight face, but I could see he was getting really upset. I think he also knew that he'd upset me. I think that was probably the worst thing for him. I don't mean to sound self-absorbed or anything, but I think the two of them, Adam and Seth, I mean, were still pretty happy about getting us all together again. Now, on the last day he was here, he'd upset me. I wanted to go over and hug him and tell him it was alright, but it wasn't my place to do that. Then I realised that the person whose place it was to do that, was already doing it. Kevin had practically jumped over the coffee table, and was hugging Adam with all his strength. Adam had his arms wrapped around Kevin's back, and was leaning onto his shoulder. I could hear them talking softly, and Adam's arms were relaxing their grip slightly. "Thank you Kevin." I heard Adam say as they pulled apart.
"It's alright Adam, I'm glad we're still ok, and don't worry, I'll look after Jared." The last part was said quietly, I don't think he wanted me to hear. Adam nodded, and then walked into the kitchen. Kevin turned around, and looked at me.
"He's pretty upset, I wouldn't get angry with him again. He didn't want to upset you on his last day here, and he did make an honest mistake." I nodded slightly. Then I noticed the time, we had to get Adam and Seth to the airport. We still had Howie's people carrier outside, and I could see their bags in the hallway.
"We need to get on our way, otherwise they're gonna miss their flight." Kevin nodded slightly. We both hurried up the stairs, and showered quickly, then got dressed, and were down again in ten minutes. When we got to the bottom of the stairs, we could smell something cooking in the kitchen, so we went through.
"Hey you guys, do you want some French toast?" Lara asked. Kevin's eyes twinkled, I knew he loved that stuff.
"Harumph!" I heard come from Michelle as she sat next to Seth.
"Okay! Do you guys want some toast which doesn't literally come from the place of which it claims to have its origins?" Lara asked with an exasperated expression on her face. Michelle seemed appeased.
"We would love some toast which doesn't literally come from the place it's...supposed to come from!" Kevin said with a grin. Lara started dishing out two more plates, and put them in front of us. "Pass the powdered sugar would you?" Kevin asked Seth. Kevin poured it liberally over his breakfast. He looked around, and noticed that Adam, Seth and I all liked it with ketchup - I don't know how many people eat it like that, but I don't know, it tasted good, sure got some funny looks from the others though. When we'd finished breakfast, we started loading up the car. I was not looking forward to the episode that I knew was coming up at the airport.
Kevin's Point of View<<<
We were all buckled in, and I was driving to the airport. We were in similar seating patterns to when we picked them up - Lara was next to me, up front, Michelle was behind me, Seth was next to her, leaning over the chairs, and Adam and Jared were in the back. They were all talking quietly, Lara spoke up about halfway there.
"This is gonna be hard for them you know?"
"Yeah, I kinda guessed it would be, leaving your long lost brother after you've only just found him." I said, not taking my eyes off the road, I was starting to get...sympathy pains for Jared, I could feel how hard it would be to give up your brothers after you've only just found them. When they asked him to come and join them at their practice, I knew he'd say no, but I got the feeling he wanted the best of both worlds.
"Yeah, I just wish there was some way they could see each other more regularly."
"See each other..." I mumbled quietly.
"What was that?" Michelle asked from behind me.
"Nothing." I said, then I swerved off the road into a small parking lot.
"Hey! You wanna be a bit more careful turning corners?" Jared shouted from behind, similar sentiments followed from the other passengers. "Where're you going?"
"I'll be right back!" I shouted as I jumped out the car, and ran down the street a block or so.
"But Kev, we'll miss their plane!" Jared shouted.
I put the bag into the back of the van and jumped into the driver's seat. I'd only been 10 minutes. "Kevin, where'd you go?" Jared asked.
"You'll see." I said with a grin, and I drove off towards the airport. Arriving in the parking lot, I got out, and unlocked the back of the van and started unloading suitcases. Finally all that was left was the bag I'd picked up. "Adam, Seth, will you come round here?" They walked around to the back, and started picking up their suitcases. "No, guys, here first." I started reaching into the bag, and I pulled out the two plain, brown boxes. I gave each of them one.
"What's this Kev?" Seth asked.
"Um, well, open it, you'll see." So they did. Seth got a gleam in his eye when he saw what it was. "I figured that not being able to see Jared might upset you guys a bit, being so far away an' all, so I got you these."
"Videophones!" Adam said with a smile. They looked like ordinary phones, but they had a large monitor fixed to them. "Wow. Err...Kev, I don't know what to say. This is really umm... too much." Adam tried to give me back the video phone. He pushed the box into my arms, but I wouldn't take it.
"It's yours, just take it." I said quietly. Adam looked into my eyes, and slowly took it back, and hooked it under one arm.
"Thank you Kevin." He said quietly. "And thank you again, for letting us stay for the weekend at your house, you don't know how much it means to us." He leaned forward, and hugged me. Seth then wrapped his arm around me too, and I had one of them on each of my shoulders. I saw Jared over their shoulders, and he wrapped his arms around all of us.
"Thank you, all of you." Jared said. I smiled at him, and noticed his eyes were watering. When the other two finally let go, I saw they were in a similar state. We still had to say goodbye properly in the airport, so I thought it was a good idea that we get inside soon. We were sent right through, and we were in a VIP lounge - there weren't many people here yet, so we just sat around, well, Michelle, Lara and I sat together, and the three of 'them' talked together. They were doing that 'hand touching' thing again. I couldn't see the fascination - their hands are exactly the same! So why do you need to see two more of them? But it was still an awe-inspiring sight to see the three of them, each of them with one hand in together. Finally, the flight was called, and us three stood up. We went across and got the guys up - they hadn't even noticed the call. They got into a hug, and started kissing each other, on the cheeks, and on the lips. I was kinda surprised by that, but then I sometimes kiss my brothers or the guys on the cheeks, so I suppose as these guys are so much closer, the next logical progression is that. I kissed Michelle and Lara goobye, and then they separated, and Adam and Seth came over to me.
"Thanks again Kevin." Adam said, he held out his hand and I shook it.
"Don't worry about it you guys, just remember you're practically my family too now, so if you ever need a place to stay or anything down here, just ask." I smiled at them.
"Oh yeah! He is practically family isn't he?" Seth asked with a funny sounding voice. He turned slightly, and looked over his shoulder at Jared. I couldn't see Seth's expression, but Adam and Jared could. I saw him touch his face somehow, as he reached his arm up, but I couldn't tell how he was touching it, and then Adam and Jared both got smirks on their faces, Jared nodded. He turned back and he had a smirk on his face too.
"What?" I asked, then they both came forward, and hugged me again. Then Adam pulled back, and kissed me lightly on the lips. I was completely shocked, but before I could say anything, Seth kissed me too. I could've sworn I felt his tongue lick my lips as he kissed me, but he pulled back and grinned Jared's devilish grin. "Wow!" I said open mouthed.
"Welcome to our family." Adam said quietly as he rested his chin on my shoulder again. I hugged them back, and they finally moved away, and picked up their carry-ons. They each put an arm around their respective ladies, and after saying final goodbyes to Jared, and kissing him on the cheeks again, they walked out the gate. Jared walked up to the window, and I walked up behind him. We could see their plane from here.
"They're in the 10th and 11th rows back, but I don't know if they're on this side or not." Jared said quietly as I wrapped my arms around his waist. Just then, although it was quite foggy on the runway, I saw a hand push up against the window on about the 10th and 11th rows. "Bye guys." Jared said, as he raised his hand up to wave at them. As the plane pulled away, so that we couldn't see the windows anymore, Jared turned and started crying on my shoulder. I felt horrible, but I didn't want to show it to Jared, who probably needed someone right now. Five minutes later, he turned and saw the plane finally taking off - it had to wait for a while, to get on the runway, but it was finally away. The plane was gone. "Come on, let's go." Jared said in a quiet voice. On the way home, Jared and I held hands, and he just stared out the window.
"You gonna be ok Jar'?" I asked him.
"Yeah, I'll be fine. It's just a big shock you know, to finally, you know, how can I put this... to have a family. I know you guys, and all the friends I've made since I've come here have been like a family to me, but they're blood. It's different, I can't explain it." Jared sighed, and looked down at his lap.
"Jared, I'm not gonna lie, and say that I understand - I'm not as close to my brothers as you are to yours. Even with the absence from them for so many years, your connection to them is obviously deeper than mine to my brothers. I don't know if that's something to do with you being triplets, but I understand where you're coming from. As much as I love the guys, when we were younger, I needed my family there as well. They were like...I don't know, a support, a blanket that you could always count on, because I knew that there were things I could do that the guys wouldn't forgive me for, or my friends wouldn't forgive me for, but my family would. You've got that too now Jared, and I hope I fit in there somewhere too." I turned and looked at him and we smiled at one another. He wrapped his hand around mine again, and held it in his lap as we finished the drive home.
Tuesday afternoon, both Jared and I had to get into work - we'd both skipped a day and a half, and our respective bosses were gonna be pissed if we missed anymore. I had a meeting to sort out the publicity tour. We were leaving on Thursday. It had been delayed a few days at least, but we couldn't delay any further. The moment I stepped into the rooms, I had to say it...
"Jared said he'd marry me!" I shouted with a big grin on my face. All the guys had been talking, and it went silent, and then they all ran up and hugged me and said how great it was.
"Are you sure it was Jared, and not one of his brothers?" AJ asked with a grin.
"Err...well I really hope so..." I said, thinking back to early this morning, and what we'd done right after he said he'd marry me.
"Kevin got lucky after he proposed." Howie said with a smirk. I could feel my cheeks reddening. "Well, it could have been one of his brothers!"
"I think we'd better sit down." Brian said with a grin.
"Huh?" AJ said.
"Well, I think Nicky's thinking about Jared and one of his brothers..." Brian sort of trailed off. We all looked at Nick who had this sort of dazed grin on his face, and a far away expression, and a noticeable bulge down below.
"Nick!" I shouted out.
"Huh? What?" He said.
"Stop thinking about my fiancé like that!"
"How do you know I wasn't thinking about Adam and Seth?" Ok, he had me there.
"Just sit down!" We all sat around the table, and the execs walked in.
"Right! Now, here's the itinerary..." They begun, and so we were immersed for several hours in papers, plans, itineraries, schedules and contracts. AJ had his head down on the table for a large portion of it. He'd given up trying to listen to these guys. Nick was playing with a post-it note he'd picked up somewhere. Brian was doodling, Howie was just resting his head in his hands, and I was trying to keep my eyes open, after all I only got about three hours sleep last night...
"Kevin, honey wake up."
"Huh?"
"It's time to go home." It was Jared, he'd obviously come to pick me up, I must have fallen asleep in the meeting. Damn. I looked around, and there was only one paper left on the table, I picked it up and read it:
Kevin,
We guessed that you must have been really tired to have fallen asleep in a meeting, so we let you off this time. We've dealt with, well, everything. We even negotiated for more 'off' time, and for more chances to see our wives/girlfriends/Jared, so we hope you'll be happy with how we came out of the meeting. We haven't got anything to deal with until we leave, so I guess we won't see you until Thursday around noon. Oh by the way, just to make you happy, we've arranged extra time off for Jared, so that when we have long periods of off time, Jared can come visit. You wouldn't believe the trouble the execs had to go through to get that! See you soon man, love you!
Brian.
I looked down at the letter, and smiled. The guys had obviously gone to a lot of trouble to help me and Jared, and I was going to thank them for it...a lot.
"So, when are you leaving?" Jared asked me. We were sitting watching TV together, after we'd eaten dinner. I'd noticed we were falling into a routine, I didn't like it much, but Jared seemed comfortable, so I'd leave it be, at least for a bit. He didn't take his eyes off the TV when he asked the question.
"Thursday." I replied. "Around noon." Jared nodded.
"Do you know how long you're gone for?" Jared asked.
"The whole tour lasts for about a month and a half, but the guys said that they've arranged for loads of 'offtime' for us, and have made sure that you can get off at the same time, so you'll be able to come join us for a couple of days, here and there." Jared nodded, and continued watching TV.
Jared's Point of View<<<
Kevin's going away. Ok, I'm gonna miss him, but I'm not gonna be hysterical or anything, I think I've grown a lot since I met him, and I'm ok now. I love Kevin, and I'm pretty sure he loves me, so I'm ok with him going away for work, getting to see him occasionally is just a bonus. But I don't think Kevin got this impression from me. He stood up, and left the room. I wasn't sure whether to follow him or not. He'd headed into the dining room, and I heard him going into the dresser in there. He came back in a moment or two later, and sat next to me.
"I wanted to give this to you." He said as he put a small box into my lap. I opened it, and inside was a ring. "I bought it a while ago, I meant to give it to you when I proposed, but I forgot - I guess we were both a bit, well a bit, liquored up last night." He said with a smirk. I looked again at the ring, and then leant over and kissed Kevin on the lips.
"Thank you Kevin, but you didn't have to do this, I mean, get this." I told him.
"Jared, I'm not gonna tell you again. I like getting stuff for you, you of all people deserve to be treated once in a while. Tell me something. Since you came to America, how many times have you used your credit card?" He asked me.
"Errr..." I really couldn't remember, I mean the last time I used it was... "Well, I bought your Christmas present with it."
"Have you ever bought anything for yourself with it?" He looked straight at me, straight into my eyes. I sighed, and looked down at my hands.
"No. Well yes! I bought all those clothes for the tour on it!" I said with glee. I'd proved that I bought myself stuff.
"Jared." Kevin said sternly. "That was five months ago." I counted that off quickly in my head. Shit, it was five months ago.
"Kevin, I just don't need stuff, ok?" I looked at him, trying to tell him that all I needed was him.
"Jared, I'm not going to lie to you, say I understand, because I don't. I'm guessing this is just who you are, but I like to have my stuff around me, and it seems a little bit strange that you don't need anything. I've probably used my credit card 100 times since we came back to America, probably more, and you haven't used yours once. I'll try to understand. But please, just take the ring, I really want you to have it, and it's not like it's stuff that you have lying around, it's something you can keep on. Now please, can I put it on?" He asked so sweetly, he was willing me with his big, puppy dog eyes, and I said yes. He took the ring out of the box, and took my hand, and slipped it straight on. I held it up. It was a plain gold band, except for three diamonds, one large on in the middle, though still thinner than the band of the ring, and a small one on either side. It was really beautiful. Just like the man sitting next to me. I got a lump in my throat as I looked at it, and I was reminded of the thoughts I had last night, of how this meant 'forever', and how I was always going to have a family now, Kevin was my family, I would have a home with him, and I would be happy. I felt the ring with my thumb, and wobbled it a bit until it was comfortable, then leant over and kissed Kevin again. When I pulled away, he had a grin on his face.
Wednesday, unfortunately I had to work, I had appointments for most of the day. Fortunately, I juggled a few appointments so I could have Thursday off until Kevin left, but Wednesday I had no chance of getting out of it. I had Janet to see after the lunchtime sessions, and then I had a session with N'Sync in the afternoon. They were all sorry that Kevin was leaving and everything, but of course, I showed off my ring. I got home about 6 o'clock, and when I opened the door, something seemed out of place. I mean, there were some bags by the front door, which just made me feel a bit sick in the stomach, but something else was wrong. The hall lights were off. They're never off. Then I looked around, and my eyes came to rest on the living room. Looking in, I saw the couches, they'd all been pushed up against the walls, and the table was gone, in place of which there was what looked like rolled up blankets, and a cloth laid out on the floor, and lots of little bowls. There were paper lanterns, red and gold, and they were lit with candles inside. I cleared my throat, and suddenly I noticed Kevin and he jumped up from one of the couches, and smiled at me.
"Hey." He said.
"New style?" I asked, raising one eyebrow. Besides the interior decorating, he was also wearing just a sarong, a cloth wrapped around his waist that fell to below his knees. He had his pendant around his neck. He looked pretty nice.
"Well, I thought you might like a nice meal tonight." He smiled at me. "Go up and get washed or showered, and there's one of these," he motioned to the sarong, "on our bed for you." He scooted me up the stairs, and I ran into the shower, I wanted to get downstairs again, this could be an interesting evening. I showered and brushed my teeth, and wrapped the sarong around, and clipped it in place. Then I walked down the stairs, careful to not catch the cloth around my legs. At the bottom, I met Kevin who wrapped his arms around my waist, and kissed me. I kissed him back. "Come with me." He led me into the living room.
"Wow." Was all I could say. It had been laid out like a Japanese restaurant or something - there was a very low table under the cloth I'd seen on the floor, and the blankets rolled up were shaped slightly, so they looked like seats. There were bowls of soup on the tables, that I could smell now, they smelt vaguely of soy sauce, and there were plates of sushi dotted around, each plate holding a different type. "Wow." I said again.
"I'm glad you like it." Kevin even remembered I loved sushi, I couldn't remember the last time we'd had this! So we sat down opposite one another, and picked up the ceramic soup spoons, and started chowing down, I was practically orgasmic after one mouthful - it was delicious! I couldn't believe how good it tasted! I moaned, as I ate it, it was so good. "Is it ok?"
"Oh Kev! It's amazing!" I started gulping down spoonful after spoonful.
"I'm glad you like it." He grinned at me. Once we were both done with our soup (though I was hankering for some more), he passed me another plate, and said to help myself, so I started eating sushi with him. We didn't really use the plates, so they were pushed to the side, and we ate straight from the serving plates with our chopsticks. After about twenty minutes or so, we were done and full. I was lying back, rubbing my too full stomach. That's why the Japanese like to sit on the floor - so that when they've finished, they can just lie back and rub their tummies! I couldn't help grinning at the thought. "Is my baby full?" Kevin asked me. He had crawled around to my side, and was lying on his side, supporting his head on his hand.
"Uh huh." I said with a replete grin on my face.
"Well we're not finished yet." Kevin said with a grin.
"Huh?" I said.
"Hang on." Kevin pushed himself up and went through to the kitchen. When he came back out, he was holding two bowls with spoons sticking out of them.
"Ohhhhh." I whined, not thinking I could force anymore down.
"It's ice cream." Kevin said. Hmmm... Ice cream, no ice cream, ice cream, no ice cream... no contest! I sat up again and gratefully pried the bowl from Kevin's hands. He grinned as I started to gulp it down, I love ice cream so much. I was done, while Kevin was still eating. I started to notice how much of his skin was showing, and how hot he looked. I moved over next to him, with my ice cream bowl in my hand. "Do you want some more?" Kevin asked me, offering me his bowl. I shook my head, with a smile. Kevin scooped out the remains of the bowl, and sat it down beside him. "Well, that's pretty much all I had planned for the night, so, whatever you want to do now, I'm up for it." I grinned at him.
Kevin's Point of View<<<
Jared grinned his devilish grin at me. Then he reached behind him, and I heard the metal spoon from his ice cream bowl. He pulled it up, and it had molten chocolate ice cream on it. He slapped it down onto my chest, and I almost jumped from how cold it was. He then streaked it down my chest, and over my abs. I could see what he was up to. He put the spoon back, then leant over, and licked it up. My pendant hung to the side, and he licked every drop of the chocolatey liquid up off of me.
"Let's go upstairs." Jared whispered into my ear. A grin spread across his face, and we jumped up together, our full stomachs suddenly forgotten, and we hurried up the stairs together.
We'd arranged to have a private room at the airport before we left. Our flight was a couple of minutes after 12, but we were at the airport with plenty of time to spare. I couldn't get the thought of not seeing Jared for about two weeks out of my head, and we were gonna do it again, and again and again. Six weeks, and only seeing Jared twice in that whole period. Those two visits would be three days long, but it was still gonna be hell, I was pleased with the fact the guys had managed to get that much time, but it was still less than I would have liked. I wanted to be with Jared, but here I was at the airport, getting ready to say goodbye. We sat in opposite seats, just watching each other. We had about half an hour left before our flight would be called. I was very appreciative for the private room - 'Same Old Problem' had received more airplay than we had expected, and the fans were getting wilder again. I wasn't really looking forward to our first stop in LA, they were normally pretty wild there anyway.
"You know it's gonna be okay right?" Jared asked as he sat forward, his elbows on his knees. I thought I was supposed to be the one consoling him, not the other way round. "I'm watching you, and I can see the thoughts going through your head, how much you don't want to go, how much you'd rather stay here, but you have to go Kevin, it's your job, and you're gonna be fine. We'll talk every night, or every day. I'll keep my phone on all the time. I've got your itinerary, I'll know how to get hold of you if I need you, and I will, trust me." He said with a grin. I leant forward too, our hands and faces were only about a foot apart.
"I love you Jared, I'm gonna miss you, and I only asked you to marry me yesterday, I just wish we had more time together now." I tried to say, but he interrupted.
"Kevin, I love you. Stop doubting it. Whatever's happened in the past, isn't gonna happen again, and you need to relax otherwise you're gonna get an ulcer." Dammit, Jared was taking this in his stride, but I had butterflies. I smiled weakly at Jared. He stood up, and pulled me up too and embraced me in a hug, then kissed me. I rested my head on his shoulder, and looked to the side. There was Brian and Leighanne, she couldn't come with us either as she started filming for a new TV series in about four days. I saw AJ and Amanda talking quietly. I'd heard talk of a wedding, but they said they were gonna wait until we were back from the tour itself, in about six months time before they decided to tie the knot. Then there was Howie and Lisa, and they were giggling in the corner, they were really cute together, I hoped it lasted. Finally, there was Nick and Leo. Leo could come with us, as he wasn't really tied down by any other employment, and Laura was coming with us. That was a new experience for us - a baby on tour with us. Jared kissed me again, and we sat down next to one another in the airport seats.
"I will call you every day you know?" I said to him. I took his hand in mine, and kissed it.
"I know you will Kev, but don't feel guilty ok? If you're really busy, don't worry about me, I'll survive, and you should have a good time on this tour, it will be fun if you let it be." Jared was smiling at me the whole time, and it was contagious. I smiled back and I could feel his calm pervading into me. I leant over and kissed him again.
"Now calling...flight direct to LAX, departure time 12:05 pm, all first class passengers and other passengers in rows 1-8, now boarding." Said that screechy, irritating voice.
"Shit." I said as I pulled away from Jared slightly, and rested my forehead against his.
"It won't be so bad Kev, you'll be kept busy, and we'll talk everyday, 2 weeks will go past in no time, and then we'll be together again." Jared said, opening his eyes to look into mine, and show me the certainty in his own.
"Thank you Jared. I love you." I kissed him again.
"I love you too Kev, and I'll see you in no time. Call me when you get to LA ok? I want to hear that you got there ok?"
"Sure, oh and Jared, there's a big tub of Ben and Jerry's in the freezer at home." I said with a grin on my face.
"Thanks Kev!" He said with a smile that lit up his whole face. "Oh and there's something for you to nibble on in your carry on?" I raised my eyebrows, surprised Jared had managed to slip anything into my bag without my noticing. I was to find out later that it was a great big bar of white chocolate - my favourite.
"Come on Kev, we need to go." Brian said in a quiet tone to let me know that he was trying not to intrude. Jared pulled me into him again and gave me one final mind-blowing kiss before pulling away, and saying goodbye again. I could feel tears coming to my eyes, but I started off with the others, and we headed out the gate. Once on the plane, we could see Jared, Leighanne, Lisa and Amanda all watching out the windows off the VIP lounge. Remembering what Adam and Seth had done, I put my hand to the window, and told AJ and Brian who were also in window seats to do the same, in case they missed one of us. All of them waved, and I watched until I couldn't see the expression on Jared's face anymore, then I sat back in my seat and let out a sigh.
"Do you need anything sir?" The stewardess asked. I shook my head, and as soon as she was gone, sighed again and tried to get some sleep.
*** TBC... End of Chapter 48 End of Season One
That's the end of the first season! I hope everyone enjoyed it. I'm not 100% sure when the next season will start, but I'm hoping it will be soon. I've finally finished my exams, so I'm gonna enjoy some freedom for a little bit before I have to start preparing for university! You know I have to read like thirty books this summer? That's ridiculous! Anyway, if any of you have any real good ideas for season two, then email me, let me know, or just email to tell me how much you love the story! (or don't love it, I'd prefer favourable response, but if there's something you really don't like, tell me) I did notice feedback's gone down a bit on my last few chapters - is something wrong? Anyway, get back to me! James
