Gay

I don't know the Backstreet Boys or N'Sync, I have never met them, I don't own them, and this story is not meant to imply anything about anyone's sexuality - it is purely the product of my own imagination. I hope everyone enjoys reading it, but please remember it is just fiction. My favourite stories at the moment are: Bad Boy B-Rok Get Another Boyfriend My New Life Double Take And a few others, but those are the ones I read in the last few days...

Here's chapter ten...

On The Streets - Season Two - Part Ten

We sat down after twenty minutes or so, and got some drinks. Everyone moving around us had got a bit tiring. I was also surprised - the dance floor was deceptively large.

"Congratulations guys." I turned to the sound of a woman's voice, and saw Alanis Morissette standing there with a smirk on her face. I smiled back, and turned to Jared. He was looking at Alanis with pursed lips and a slight frown. He didn't remember who she was.

"Thank you." He answered anyway. Alanis smiled and walked back into the group of guests, presumably to find whoever she was here with.

"Alanis Morissette." I leant over and whispered in Jared's ear.

"That was it!" He clapped his hands together. "I knew I'd seen her before. She's a singer too right?" I nodded. This had to be frustrating for Jared. He watched a lot of MTV, especially, as I found out, when I wasn't there - he would hope to see something about us. 'Same Old Problem' was still receiving a hell of a lot of airplay. But he still had a problem remembering all the artists' names, and remembering what they sung was even harder. Elton John had already come up to see us, and congratulate us with his boyfriend. "So, are you going to tell me yet where we're going on our honeymoon?" Jared whispered softly into my ear.

"Yeah, right. You don't really expect me to tell you now, after making the secret last this long do you?"

"Well, I thought, seeing as we've only got a few hours to go before we're actually there?"

"How do you know?"

"What?"

"Well, say we were going to Australia or somewhere, that could take the better part of a day to get to, never mind a few hours." I told him.

"Ok, but presuming we're not going to Australia."

"Don't presume anything." I interrupted him, then I leant in and kissed him softly on the lips. There were occasional camera flashes all the way through dinner, and during the dancing, and there was one just then. The deal we had made with the press meant that we had to have a lot of pictures available. They also doubled as our wedding photos. The music died down then, and a solo saxophonist started playing some jazzy piece.

"He's good." Kristin said as she came up to us.

"Yeah, it was a pity we couldn't get a live singer." I answered her.

"Why not?" Jared asked.

"Look around Jared. If you knew you were going to be singing to a room of some of the most successful singers ever, would you do it?" I smiled at him.

"I guess it might be a bit nerve-wracking. Why don't you get the guys to sing? There must be a microphone laying around somewhere, you could get all your guests to take it in turns too, I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you wanted a live act." I turned to Kristin and smiled.

"I'll go find a microphone." She said as she stood with a sigh. Within five minutes, 98 degrees, who had been coerced into being the first act were up on stage, singing 'I do', and packing the dance floor. The guys came to the end of their song, and the next act was sought out. In the meantime though, the guests started getting a little restless, and someone in the crowd suddenly shouted 'speech, get the grooms to give a speech!'. Crap.

Jared's Point of View<<<

More calls started coming from the crowds for Kevin to stand up and do a speech, or rather for the grooms to, but I knew Kevin would do it, knowing how bad I was at speaking. I heard Kevin sigh from the seat next to me, and he stood up slowly. Everyone was chanting 'speech, speech, speech' by now, and Kevin held out his hand for me to take, and I stood with him. We walked hand in hand over to the stage. I saw the guys from 98 degrees standing close to the stage steps, each of them had a girl on their arm, and they were all smiling. That gave me a little confidence, until one of them shouted 'come on Jared, give a speech'. My stomach clenched up. Me? Give a speech? Not a chance. I joined Kevin on the stage, and smiled slightly at the sea of eyes.

"Hey everybody." Kevin said into the microphone. "Err... I'd like to start by thanking you all for coming. I have to say when I sent out the invites, I wasn't expecting everyone to want to come!" That got a little laugh from the crowd. "It is great though, seeing all our friends and family here today. We were hoping for this kinda support, and we're glad you all showed. There's one other person I'd like to thank, and I think everyone knows who he is... Jared. For agreeing to be with me for the rest of our lives. I love you Jared." He turned to look at me, and I could feel a slight blush come to my cheeks, and I smiled. The guests started clapping, and I got ready to head back to the head table. Then someone, I'm guessing whichever member of 98 degrees said it before, suggested to the crowd that I should give a speech too. Suddenly, the idea was grasped upon by apparently everybody in the hall. And there were some pretty powerful voices in there. Kevin looked towards me with a hopeful look in his eyes. That sick feeling was coming back in my stomach. He leant over and whispered in my ear, his hand rested on my cheek. "You don't have to do it if you don't want to. I won't ask anything of you. But I would appreciate it if you would say something, anything, even if it's only 'thanks for coming', I don't want them thinking that I keep you shut up or anything." He smiled gently at me. He knew that wouldn't be the case, especially after me arguing with Britney during her revealing of my criminal record earlier in the evening. So I took the microphone. Kevin took a step back, and I heard him practically hold his breath.

"I fell for Kevin the moment I met him." I said into the microphone. It had a faint squeaky sound like the microphone hadn't been calibrated right or something, so I held it a bit further away from my mouth. "I fell for Kevin the moment I met him. Not even he knew that until just now." I turned back to look at him, and he was just watching me. I couldn't read his expression. "I owe Kevin so much." I turned slightly and saw him disagreeing with a shake of his head. "Yeah I do Kev. Another thing I haven't told you, but I'm gonna tell you know is that I wasn't expecting to still be around by now." I heard a slight gasp from the audience, but I don't think everyone got it, so I went on. "When Kevin and I found each other, I... wasn't at the best place in my life. That's an expression you Yanks use right?" I asked the audience. "Kevin, he showed me, he brought me back, I owe everything to him. I never would have dreamed six months, a year ago to be standing here now, much less married to the greatest guy I've ever met. Kevin taught me what it meant to be in love, he showed me how to love, and he was the one who made it feel so good." Then I had a thought. "And see how fair is the man I love, how stately. Green grows that bower, thine and mine, with its roof of cedars, with covert of cypress for its walls." I paused. The audience was pretty much silent. "And as Kevin told me to say, thanks for coming." I smiled, and slipped the microphone back into its stand, everyone in the audience broke out clapping, laughing slightly at the final joke and cheering. I turned to Kevin with raised eyebrows, I hoped he was ok with everything I said. He was smiling, and his eyes were misty. I reached out for his hand, but he knocked it away, and he came up and wrapped his arms around my chest, and hugged me hard. Then he kissed me, and the clapping behind me just got louder. Finally, we stopped, and descended from the stage. We went and sat at the big table again.

"Thank you Jared." Kevin said, he was practically crying.

"It's ok Kev." I reached up and wiped a tear from his cheek. A few minutes later, we both looked out over our guests, some of them had gone back to dancing, and the band had struck up with its music again. An elderly man walked up to us. Kevin seemed to know him as he stood and shook his hand. I stood up as well.

"Jared, this is Reverend Clements, he was my reverend from home in Kentucky." I smiled at the reverend, and he smiled back.

"I'm sorry I couldn't perform your wedding service Kevin, and you too Jared, but you understand don't you? What with my parish bein' in Kentucky an' all?"

"Yeah sure we do." Kevin said, his Kentucky accent came out to match the reverend's.

"You know Kevin, I never expected you to end up with a guy, but I knew when you did end up with someone, it would be someone who knew their scripture." Kevin smiled and turned to me, so did the reverend. "It was nice meeting you Jared." He smiled again, and shook our hands.

"Hold on." Kevin said as we sat down. "How did he know you knew scripture?"

"When I was making that speech..." I pointed up to the stage, as if Kevin would understand he just frowned though. "Did you not hear me talking differently? Reciting something?"

"Oh was that bible? I thought it was just poetry?"

"No, it was from The Song of Songs. Though I'm surprised he knew it well enough to tell that it was from the bible, I didn't think that book was in the protestant bible." I mentioned to him.

"Oh, he's also a professor of theology at the college up in Kentucky." I nodded, and we went back to just sitting there, our hands came together, and we just sat and watched. "There is one more thing before we go Jared." I turned to look at him, and he smiled. He stood up, and let go of my hand, then he made a sign to someone on the other side of the room. Then he walked quickly up to the stage, where the rest of the Backstreet Boys were standing, along with N'Sync, 98 degrees, Whitney Houston, a woman with long dark hair who I didn't know, and another woman who I thought I recognised who had a bandana type of thing on her head. Kevin picked up a microphone, though they all had them in their hands.

"Ladies and Gentlemen? Could I, er... get your attention for a moment?" I looked over, and Elton John was sitting on the piano, I had a sinking feeling that I knew what Kevin was about to do. "Ladies and Gentlemen, you heard Jared's speech, and, I guess my one before his seemed pretty pathetic in comparison..." The audience chuckled a little. "But the truth is, this is my answer to his speech. Jared doesn't always understand just what he's done since he came into my life. I've come out, I've got married to the person I truly love. No offence Kristin." The guests turned to look at her at the head of the table, but she just sort of waved as if it was nothing, then huffed and looked away. The guests chuckled. "I have my flaws, plenty of them, I mean my materialism, my superficiality, sometimes I lack compassion but Jared doesn't mention them. He doesn't realise it but he doesn't need to say anything to make me act better, just him being there makes me better, he is my perfect partner, I couldn't see being with anyone else being as good as I have it now. I didn't think I believed in soul mates, but I've found him and he's sat right over there." He pointed to me, and I bit my bottom lip as most of the guests turned to look at me. "I love you Jared, but I realised something the other day. You've heard me sing, you've been to my concerts, in fact you came to all our tour concerts, man, that must have got boring." He chuckled and so did the audience. "But I have never sung just for you, and this is what I'm gonna do for you now. Jared would you come here?" Kevin called me over, and I stood from the head table, and walked to the fifty feet or so so that I was in front of the stage, about ten feet from Kevin. "Jared stop." I looked up slightly at him, and he sat on the edge of the stage. He leant out slightly and nodded. Elton John started playing the piano with a big grin on his face. I recognised it right away - it was the beginning of Drowning. Kevin knew I loved this song, and almost immediately, Kevin started singing. The words disappeared though, and I found I couldn't concentrate, Kevin was singing to me, he'd called me his soul mate, and told me that I was his perfect partner I could feel my eyes misting up. When the first chorus came up, the whole stage started singing, but that was soon over, and it was just me and Kevin in the room again. I was holding in a sob now, there were tears in my eyes, Kevin was literally overwhelming me. He stood off the stage then, and they went into the second chorus. Kevin started walking around, I know he said he was singing to me, but he was singing to the hall, and to the rafters. Finally, they were coming up to the section he actually sung in the song, I liked this section best - it had a minor sound to it, and it suited Kevin's voice better. But when it came up, Kevin came right up and stood in front of me, and sung it softly, just to me. I started crying the tears ran down my cheeks, and Kevin wrapped his arm around me, and I leant my face into his shoulder. He carried on singing over my shoulder. I ran my hands around his back, and held on tight. He felt so good, so warm.

"Jared. Jared?" I heard Kevin saying softly above me. I looked up. "It's over." I looked around, and all the people were looking at us, my eyes felt like they were burning. Kevin brought the microphone back to his mouth and made a sound as if he was clearing his throat, and gave a few looks to a few people, and gradually the guests all started talking, and moving around, basically not paying attention to us.

"I need to go to the bathroom and clean up." I said softly. Kevin nodded, and took my hand. We walked out the main hall and went into the small bathroom. "Thank you Kevin." I said as I bent over to splash water on my face. Kevin ran his hand up and down my back.

"It was my pleasure Jared."

"I know all the guys who were on stage with you, but who were those women?" Kevin smiled, and continued rubbing my back as I washed my face with wet tissues.

"There was Whitney Houston...Shania Twain... and Alicia Keys." He smiled as he listed them off.

"I knew I recognised Alicia Keys, I didn't know Shania Twain was it - she another singer?"

"Yeah." Kevin laughed slightly. "She's pretty well known - country music mostly."

"I'm sorry I started crying."

"Hey, it's ok. I guess it just shows that it was... well, that you really enjoyed it. You did didn't you? I mean you were actually crying were you?"

"No! No, I was crying cos it was so nice." I explained to him. I smiled and we held each other again, and started kissing each other. I pushed my tongue into his mouth, and held his head tight to my own. Then I backed him up slightly, so that his back was against the partition between the two stalls. I ground my now hardening cock into his. He moaned slightly.

"Jared!" He said as we pulled apart slightly. "We can't do this here."

"Why not? Everyone thinks we just came in here to get cleaned up, there's no reason we can't have a little fun while we're in here!" I smiled, and rubbed my crotch against his again. Kevin moaned.

"Ok, but..." He grabbed my shirt, and swung me around, then pushed me backwards into the stall. I ended up sitting on the toilet seat cover. "Right, now we can have some fun. Give me your shirt." Kevin said. I slowly undid my buttons, and pulled it off and handed it to him. He hung it next to his on the peg on the back of the door. Then he pulled his trousers down so they were around his thighs, and I could see his hard cock through his pants, which were exactly the same as the CK boxer-briefs Britney had given me from Kevin this morning. He made sure I was looking, then reached up and kissed the tips of his fingers. He then slowly ran his hands down over his pecs, ran them over his abs, and just started to reach his waistband, and push it down slightly, when he looked up and saw me practically salivating. He smiled broadly when I looked up into his eyes. I let out a little whimpering sound. "You want this?" Kevin asked as he grabbed his cock through the material. The shape and size of his cock was clearly visible.

"Uh huh." I said softly. He then pulled the waistband out slightly, and his cock came out. His balls rested over the edge of the waistband, and it was hard. I licked my lips, then sat up. I grabbed a hold of Kevin's ass before he could say anything, and pulled him right up to me, and swallowed him. I heard the beginning of a moan, but Kevin managed to stop it. Kevin started pumping, literally fucking my mouth with his dick, and it got me hard. I was rubbing my cock through my trousers. Kevin looked down once or twice, and saw me rubbing myself, and he moaned out loud. I reached up and started playing with his nipples, and within about five minutes, he came in my mouth and I swallowed. I was expecting to swap positions, but instead Kevin knelt in front of me and took my cock out of my briefs, and gobbled it up, literally. He rammed it down his own throat! I didn't even move, and his head was bobbing up and down. I ran my fingers through his hair, and over his shoulders, and finally my hips bucked, and I came in his mouth too. We kissed again, and then Kevin coughed.

"We'd better get back, shit! We've been in here for over quarter of an hour. They must've worked out what we were doing in here!" Kevin said in hushed tones.

"Ya think?" A voice said from outside the stool. Kevin and I peeked out, and there sitting on the sinks was Nick. "Ya know, if you come into one of these places to do something like this, then you normally lock the main door, not just the stall one." Nick pointed to the main entrance to the bathroom, and there was a barrel bolt there to lock it. Kevin and I both grinned sheepishly. "Listen guys, I know this is gonna sound a bit weird but, it's after 11, and some people have planes to catch, not least, you." Kevin checked his watch again.

"Oh dang, I thought that said quarter past ten, not quarter past eleven." He shook his head, and we all headed out into the hall. Kevin said we were supposed to make a grand exit, and head off in our limo to the airport. So he picked up the microphone, and started to explain how it was time for us to fly, literally. "Oh yeah." He continued. "Thank you very much for all the presents you sent us... but don't expect thank you letters anytime soon cos we're leaving for four weeks and I don't plan on doing any work while I'm on my honeymoon." Kevin grinned cheesily, and left the microphone. As he walked hurriedly past me, he grabbed my hand, and dragged me towards the big main doors of the hall. A river of people came out behind us, and as I was climbing the steps, as the barn/hall was set down about four feet from the road, I turned and saw the huge crowd following us out. Kevin turned and started shouting. "What? You don't think we've got a bouquet to throw for you lot do you?" He said laughing. Then he turned to me and handed me a dark blue garter.

"What's this for?" He frowned at me. Then he lined it up like he was about to fire an elastic band, and shot it a good thirty feet or so into the crowd. I just grinned at him, and did the same with mine. "Why did we do that?" Then I realised that the crowd went wild trying to find out who caught them. Kevin took my hand again, and we climbed into the limo.

"Let's go!" Kevin shouted to the driver, and we started off. We stuck our heads out the sunroof and waved, but soon the hall was out of sight, though we could still hear the shouts of people saying goodbye, or who caught the garters.

"Why did we fire those garter things?" I asked Kevin.

"Tradition! You know, at a wedding, the bride takes off her garter and the man who catches it is going to be the next man to get married."

"No! It's the woman who catches the bouquet is the next woman to get married."

"And the garter for the men."

"Oh, we never did that over in England."

"Oh, ok." Kevin said, then he leant against me, and put his head on my shoulder. I rested my arm around him, and leant and kissed the top of his head. "Thank you."

"For what?" I asked.

"For making this the best day of my life." He said softly. It seemed like an eternity since I had felt nervous this morning, and since we had been standing in that concert hall, and I had fallen into a dream for most of the wedding ceremony.

"I love you Kevin."

"I love you too Jared." Kevin yawned, and snuggled into my chest a bit more. I felt his breathing slow down and he was asleep.

I was starting to get a bit worried - we'd been driving for about 3 hours. Kevin told me we were taking a plane though to get to where we were going, so why hadn't we gone back to Orlando? It was only 45 minutes there. Then I got a thought stuck in my head - what if the driver was kidnapping us or something?

"Kevin?" I nudged him. "Kevin?"

"Yeah? Hey! Stop poking me! What's wrong?" He asked as he sat up slightly.

"Why...why...why are we still driving?"

"So that we can get to the airport?" The limo came to a stop. I heard the driver's door slam.

"But we drove for about three hours - it only takes forty-five minutes to get to Orlando."

"Orlando's not an international airport - we drove to Miami, as they had a flight to where we're going, at the best time." I frowned slightly, but the door swung open, and the driver was there, ready to help us out.

"You going to tell me where we're going yet?" I asked him. He turned around and smiled, then went around the back with the driver to get the carry-ons. We both shook the driver's hand, and he left us outside the airport. We strolled through, we were slightly early apparently, though Kevin wouldn't give me my ticket, so I couldn't see the time of the flight. We were taken by one of the airport staff to a shielded VIP room, where, he assured Kevin, I wouldn't be able to find out where we were going to from. Kevin and I had half an hour to spare, so we sat on the comfortable seats to wait. "You know this could get really frustrating." I said to him, as we were sitting around.

"What?"

"This is the second time you've done this to me."

"Done what?" Kevin asked.

"Taken me somewhere without telling me where we were going, and I didn't like it much last time." I said as I turned to look at him. I was sick of not knowing, ok?

"Well, I'm pretty sure you'll like this place ok."

"I've no doubt about that Kevin, but, well I'm pretty sure most couples don't do this."

"Well, we're not most couples." Kevin said as he reached over to kiss me. I held my hand up to block his advancing lips.

"But we still are a couple, and it would be nice to have some say in certain things, ok? I'm pretty sure most couples agree on where they want to go for their honeymoon." Kevin nodded, and clenched his jaw. "Don't take it like that Kevin, you know what I mean, you remember earlier when you said you wanted me to say something, so that it didn't seem like you were trying to keep me quiet or something?" Kevin nodded. "Well, occasionally, you do take control, and sometimes it's ok, but sometimes I'd like to be involved too." Kevin nodded again.

"Tell you what." Kevin said as he leant over close to my ear. "Next time we go on a honeymoon, you can pick the destination." I turned to him and deliberately narrowed my eyes. He just smiled and sat back in his chair.

"How long do we have?"

"About five minutes. We won't be able to hear the flight call from in here though, so we're running by that clock up there." Kevin pointed to the big clock on the wall. I frowned, and picked up Kevin's hand. "What're you doing?" Kevin asked as I pulled his cuff back over his watch.

"Err... that clock is ten minutes slow." I blinked and looked at Kevin, then he twisted his wrist around, and took about five seconds to focus on his watch.

"Fuck!" Kevin shouted at the top of his voice, he checked his watch next to the one on the television every morning, so he knew that it was right. He jumped up and pulled me up and grabbed our carry-ons. "Come on!" We sprinted out the room, and I heard the heavy door slam behind us. We sprinted down the long, empty corridors. It was freezing cold, and as we ran past the big windows facing the runway, it was dark outside, but occasionally we saw a plane take off in the darkness, and I could tell we were both wondering if one of those was our plane.

"What gate are we at?" I asked Kevin as I jogged to keep up with his running, thank God he wasn't as quick as me.

"4." Kevin said, out of breath.

"Right, next left then." We both took the corner sharply, and almost ran into one of those carts to carry people around in. We followed the bend around, and I had to hurdle a rubbish bin as we took the next right, to avoid crashing into it. I was getting out of breath by now, as we had run most of the way from our waiting room. Finally, we could see our gate, the woman was still standing there.

"Flight 701?" She said chirpily as we jogged the last ten metres to her.

"Uh huh." Kevin said with a slightly questioning tone. "Wasn't it supposed to have left by now?"

"Oh it's been delayed quarter of an hour, it won't be leaving for another... 8 minutes." She said, and smiled at us as we walked past her. We both looked at each other, still breathing heavily. Then we both laughed slightly.

"Course..." I started. "If you'd just told me where we were going, we could've sat in the normal waiting area, and heard that our plane was delayed ourselves." I said with a smug grin.

"Oh shove it up your ass." Kevin said with a smirk, and we walked onto the plane. Another chirpy flight attendant met us, and led us to our seats in first class. There were empty seats behind us, in front of us, and to both sides, even the diagonal seats, apart from one to our left behind us was empty.

"Man, do people not travel on Saturday nights much?" I asked as I tucked my carry-on under my seat.

"Yeah, some do."

"So why is this plane so empty?"

"Cos I bought the other seats all around us." Kevin answered with a slight grin. I just smiled and shook my head. I still wasn't used him doing things like this. "What? It's my wedding night, if I want to get a little close to you and snuggle, I don't want everyone watching!" He smiled, and I sat down. I felt tired all of a sudden.

"I know it's our wedding night, but I'm so tired."

"Mmm... me too." Kevin mumbled softly. We leant slightly against one another, and it wasn't long before we were both fast asleep.

End of Chapter 10 TBC...

Wow, so the wedding's finally over, and they're off on their honeymoon. I'm posting this chapter on September 27th, which means it should be up on September 28th. I don't know how many people realised this, though I thought I did mention it, but this story is set mostly in the future - The guys' wedding falls on Saturday, 4th April 2003. However, the date set as the very beginning of the first chapter, i.e. the date that Kevin and Jared 'hook up' when Jared is still a prostitute for the first time, is on September 28th. I know I haven't been writing for a complete year yet even, but I just thought I should point out that this is the point at which they met, and, well, does anyone have any evidence to suggest that Kevin isn't in England at the moment? Admittedly, he's not on World tour, but who knows? The rest could be true? Maybe? Perhaps? Ok! Ok, so I'm trying a bit too hard, but I just wanted to make sure everyone realised that this story is set in the future, as one of my best friends didn't realise that it was... Also, I'd like to tell everyone that next Tuesday (1st October), I start university. So that I don't get asked these questions, I thought I should tell everyone now - I'm going to Reading University, to study English literature, with a minor in Italian. I'm not very good around loads of new people, and I'm hoping to fit in, so I'm going to be trying for that rather than writing this for a while. I'm sorry to all the people who like the fact I update about once-a-week, but I have no idea when my next part will be up. But, of course, if I don't fit in, it could be up the day after I arrive, so you can hold your breath if you want to! Man, I hope this is making sense. I also have no idea about how often I can check my email, or send emails for that matter, so I'm just going to go and next time I get a chapter up, well, that will be the next time. For all of you who are reading my other story "Human, All Too Human", I'm sorry, but I have no idea when the next part of that will be up - similar rules apply, I did mean to get up another few chapters of that before I left, but unfortunately, I got my reading list from university, and Huckleberry Finn and Their Eyes Were Watching God (damn Yankee books LOL) are taking me somewhat longer to read than I expected. Well finally, I hope everyone enjoyed this chapter, email me if you want to, but I'm sorry if I don't get back to you, it's basically cos I'm a bit backed up at the moment, I only got this chapter out cos I really wanted to tell all you people out there that there won't be another one out for a while.

Next: Chapter 58: On the Streets 2 11
