Disclaimer: I don't know any of the celebrities mentioned in this story, so I don't know what any of their sexual preferences are. This is totally fiction, meaning it's FAKE none of it is real, except the boyband N'SYNC. As usual if you ain't 18 or older don't read this, and if you're offended by homosexual acts...why are you here? In any case enjoy the story.

Author's Note: J.C.'s thoughts are in the <, >'s, Lances are in the (,)'s and Justin's are in the *'s. any future thought signs will be noted as they come up. It was brought to my attention that the main character of this story has the same name as the main character in "Powers that be". That is a coincience it was a while ago I read "powers that be" so I didn't know the name of the character. But the author of "Powers that be" told me that. So, I was just letting ya'll know I know of these things some were on purpose and others were not. Well sorry for talking so much. Enjoy the story

Last time...

"Oh man! I thought he was gonna even up the straight population in the group!" they both said then started laughing. "Well at least him and Justin make a cute couple." I blushed at the compliment. "And he blushes almost as much as Justin!" Now it was Justin's turn to blush. We looked in each other's eyes and Justin winked. We both turned and shot water at the 2 soaking them as they screamed due to the sudden shock. The other four of us busted up laughing. We were growing together and bonding already. I knew then that everything was going to be cool. I looked at Justin, winked and mouthed the words, " I love you" he blushed and mouthed the words, "Me too."

And now Chapter 4...

"We have to go check in with the council, and get some training equipment for you. Such as Spell books, and a list of sigils."

"What's a sigil?" I inquired.

"A sigil is a design that channels the essences and powers of spirits enabling us to use their power, by drawing the right sigil and through concentration you can make a portal and several other things like making doors that have magic seals on them open." Lance explained.

"Oh so that's what all those funny things ya'll have been drawing are called!" I exclaimed. "Oh crap! I should call my mom, she's probably worried sick about me." Justin pointed to where the phone was and I walked over and dialed the phone number. My mom picked up.

"Hello?" She answered.

"Hey mom. It's me, Tom. I'm sorry for not calling earlier, but some things came up and I'm over with some friend's of mine." I replied.

"Oh my god! Tom you had me worried. You should call if you aren't going to be home. Even if you are 18 you should call me if you aren't going to be home as long as you live in this house. Now, I'm not too mad at you, just don't let it happen again. You go and have fun with your friends. Oh by the way, your brother called. He wants to come see you. He says he has something for you." She stated. My brother was 2 years older than me and had went to college sometime ago, he hasn't called in awhile though.

"Ok mom thanks, I gotta go now, goodbye." I said.

"Bye honey. Have fun." She said right before she hung up. I hung up the phone and told the guys that everything was ok.

"My brother's coming to see me. So, whenever I get a chance I have to call him. What's our plan for today?" I asked while the guys finished cleaning up after breakfast.

"We're gonna go get you some books, and report to Oracle that you're ok and the nest is clean." Chris replied. We all went upstairs and changed for some reason or another there was some clothes there that were my size.

"Hey Justin, how come there are clothes my size here?" I asked.

"Oh, well Lance knew that you were going to be staying here for awhile if you agreed to come with us so we had the council find out your sizes and we got some clothes for you." Justin replied. We finished changing and met up downstairs. JC drew the sigil and the portal opened. We walked through and upon arrival on the other side I thought I was going to be nauseous, but I wasn't. I had finally gotten used to those portals. We walked up to the man with his staff and he greeted JC and opened the door by chanting some weird words, just like the day before. We walked to the big doors and JC said the spell that would open them. We walked in and there was Oracle, and her 4 fellow council members.

"How are you feeling Thomas?" she asked me.

"I'm fine, and please, just Tom." I replied. She nodded and sat down, as did we and the other council members.

"Although your training is not done you will be given a crash course in spells. JC your group is now complete, and since you are the only group powerful enough in LA to do the job I'm about to give you, you are in charge of giving Tom a quick course over spells that might be needed. We need you and your group to protect the mother of the child of promise. As you know the child of promise is a god to be that will be born into darkness. If this child is raised in darkness then it will turn him and he will end life, as we know it. You must protect the mother and the child at all costs! Now go and train Tom you don't have much time." She said. We left the office and went down the hall to a library, man this place has everything. The guys got some necessary books and a list of sigils. The list reminded me of that chart you get when you're little to help you learn how to write. We left the building.

"Hey maybe we should let Tom make the portal. All you have to do is draw this one in the air and think of where you want to go." Joey said pointing to a sigil. I thought of the training center and started drawing the sigil as the diagram showed. When I finished it started to glow and a portal opened.

"I DID IT!" I yelled.

"Now let's just see if we end up in the right place." Chris jokingly said. We walked through the portal and ended up in the training center.

"See told you! I did it!" I exclaimed. JC gave me a quick run down of spells that we needed, which was only protective ones at the moment. One spell read, "Behag engel beskytter denne personen fra skade. Fur og vokt over dem. Led dem borte fra skade. Ikke la noen skade kommer a a vaere." It was a spell to protect someone from harm. It was in Norwegian. No wonder I can't ever understand what people were saying when they were reciting spells. I don't know any other language other than English. We were going to go find the young lady that was to be the mother, and bring her here, then we were going to put the spell on her, and put on the building so that nothing evil could get in, then be ready to fight off whatever was strong enough to break through the barrier. Just in case we had planned to have Chris teleport her to headquarters. They'd be able to keep her safe in the unlikely event we parish protecting her. Lance knew what she looked like, so he would identify her. She wasn't due in LA for a few more days though and she wasn't in immediate harm for a few more days. I called my brother seeing that I had a chance and didn't know when I would get my next chance. He picked up.

"Hello?" He answered with a slightly deeper voice than normal.

"Hey Ryan, it's me, Tom. You called last night?" I replied.

"Oh hey man, how's it going?" he asked.

"Everything is fine. I'm staying with some friends now. So what did you call for?" I stated.

"Oh, I have good news. I'm getting married. I'm coming out there in a couple days with my fiance; I have a job for you. Would you be my best man at the wedding?" He asked.

"That's not a job, but yea I will, how could I say no to my big bro?" I replied.

"It is a job, because you're gonna have to plan a bachelor party good enough for me!" He joked. I laughed at his statement. He told me when he and his fiance were flying in and told me to come pick him up. I agreed and we said our goodbyes and hung up. I went out into the main area where the other guys were and asked them if they wanted to go pick up my brother and his fiance with me when he gets into town. JC and Lance said they were getting things ready for the woman and Joey and Chris didn't want to be ambushed, but Justin agreed to go with me and keep me company. I told him that my brother was really cool and that he would be here in a couple days. JC and Lance continued training me in hand-to-hand combat, spells and sigils. Eventually they thought I had it down and we stopped. I went and took a shower then changed into some relaxing clothes. When I came out the guys were getting ready to leave.

"Hey where ya'll going?" I questioned.

"To get dinner we're hungry!" Joey shouted. "You aren't going dressed like THAT are?" I was only dressed in a light pair of shorts and a tank top.

"I didn't know we were going out to eat. Hold up let me change." I replied and ran back to my room. I changed into a pair of jeans and a t-shirt. I went back downstairs and we left to get dinner. We went back to the place we had met at.

"Hey, maybe now I can get my car back from valet?" I joked. We walked into the restaurant and were immediately seated. We looked over our menus for a bit, and then ordered. We ate, and we sat there making small talk. They asked about my family and I told them, that my father had died when I was young but had a lot of insurance so he left us well off, my mother was a lawyer for a powerful law firm in LA, and that my older brother who was 21, was at college he went to Boston University. I told them that he was going to get married and was flying out here to have the wedding, because all of his family lived in California and most of hers did too. They told me about how they became a group and what it was like to be famous and all that.

"Hey guys, what's gonna happen when you go on tour? How am I gonna be everywhere you guys need me to be?" I asked.

"Oh well we are working on getting you a job that would take you with us on tour." Justin explained.

"Wow, well my mother probably wouldn't have to much of a problem with that as long as I kept in touch you know how mother's can be when their last child moves out." I replied. "So, are ya'll gonna help me plan my brother's bachelor party?"

"Wahoo! PARTY!" shouted Chris.

"I'll get the stripper!" called out Joey

"We'll bring the booze." Lance stated.

"And I'll bring the poker cards. I guess." I said. "Well now that we got that taken care of all we gotta deal with is picking up my brother, and then protecting that woman." The guys agreed. We paid our check and left. I picked up my car finally from valet. I had to tip them very well for not having my car towed. Then I followed the guys back to their training center. It was late when we got back to the training center, so we all just went straight up stairs and crashed. I slept in Justin's room that night. We had both agreed that we wouldn't have sex yet. We weren't ready for it. We both wanted to build a relationship before we had sex. We fell asleep that night in each other's arms.

I woke up the next morning in Justin's bed...alone. "Wonder where he ran off to so early. That's not like him. He hates the mornings." I thought. I got up and went into the bathroom. Nope, he's not in there. I wrapped myself in a robe and walked downstairs. As I got downstairs I smelt bacon, eggs, and toast being cooked. I walked into the kitchen to see Justin cooking.

"Hey babe, I didn't know you cooked." I groggily said.

"Hey sweetie. I don't normally, but I thought I would do something nice for you." Justin stated.

"You didn't have to Justin, but gee thanks!" I replied. I sat down and started reading the paper. Justin came up behind me and wrapped his arms around me.

"So, how'd you sleep last night?" he asked.

"Fine. You?" I asked.

"Fine. I hope you like breakfast I don't cook often, as you'll probably hear from the other guys when they wake up, but I ain't as bad of a cook as Josh, he burns everything!" He said. We both laughed at the joke as JC and lance walked into the kitchen.

"Well speak of the devil." I joked. Lance and JC gave me a puzzled looked and then gave Justin a puzzled look when they saw that he was cooking breakfast.

"Justin you ain't trying to cook again are ya? I thought we had decided that your cooking sucks!" JC asked.

"Ya know Josh, people who cook with glass frying pans shouldn't throw stones!" Justin mocked. Josh backed down when he realized that it was the truth. Joey and Chris came out soon after Josh and Lance sat down.

"Hey what smells so...Oh nevermind Justin cooked it. Hold on to your stomachs boys it's gonna be a bumpy ride!" Chris mocked.

"Hey leave my man's cookin' alone!" I defended. Chris quieted down and we all sat down and ate the food that Justin had cooked. It wasn't nearly as bad as everyone had said it was going to be, but I won't let him cook for me every night either!

That's it for this chapter. There's gonna be some unexpected twists in the next few chapters. Hope ya'll liked the story so far. Keep reading. E-mail me @ Diablo19666@yahoo.com or you can AIM me @ diablo19666
