Chapter 1 "School Is Hell"

One advantage in seventh grade was that we hadn't get up so early on Mondays since our classes started with the second class at a quarter to nine. In that moment the bell rang. "Thank you, Mr. Levinsky, but I really have to go now!"

How the hell he had found out? Were we just too reckless? I was so confused and I had to talk with Josh about it. As I got back to the classroom it was empty so I walked to the exit. On the school yard half way to the bus stop Josh and Steve were waiting for me.

"What took you so long?" Josh asked.

"I'll tell you, but not here!" I said.

"Can we go now to Nick's then?" Steve asked. "I have to go bad!"

"So? Didn't you say this morning that our school has toilets, too?" I asked.

"Uhm yes, but..." Steve stammered and looked around if anyone could hear him. But Josh was faster and said:

"He wants to donate it to us!" he chuckled.

"Oh, I see. Well, then let's go!"

As we crossed the road on our way to Nick's apartment I turned my head to look back to the school building. The windows of the Principal's office were on the side to the road and it seemed to me as if Mr. Levinsky was looking out of his window watching us.

We had just left the apartment complex as we heard that there was an announcement coming from school. "Are you involved in that project, too?" Sandy asked Steve.

This was getting more and more to a disaster and I never was so happy to hear the bell ringing for next class!

"Okay!" I said "Let's go to history class and then we'll go home!"

I walked to the entrance with Steve and Josh following me and behind them were Nicole and Sandy following. I heard some whispering from the girls but I couldn't understand anything. Then, suddenly Josh completely flipped out.

While I was listening to Mr. Lynch I was drawing the Sphinx in my exercise book and suddenly I was thinking again about the name for our club.

On the way home the bus emptied the more bus stops we approached and finally we got to sit down near the rear doors of the bus. As we reached Nicole's and Sandy's bus stop Nicole tried to talk Josh into following her to her place, but I was very happy that he refused.

"Girls!" Steve said as the doors of the bus had closed again. "You can't live with them, but also you can't live without them!" he chuckled.

"Are they arguing a lot?" Josh asked.

"Not often, but sometimes they even yell at each other!"

"Seems it's always the same everywhere!" I said. "My mum and my dad yell at each other all the time! Sometimes I'm thinking about why the hell they've married."

We chatted a little bit more about school and what an asshole Simon is and such. As we had only about ten minutes left to reach our village I explained them my idea about the club's name.
