Hi guys, here's part 6 of my story exploring a fictional relationship with my Baby Boy AKA Austin Mahone. I don't know Baby Austin, Nick Jonas, or Jack and Jack. Lyrics were obtained from genius.com or simlar sites. Enjoy!
Private Concerts The concerts take place in a large conference room. The hotel offered a fully equipped concert hall that boasted a seating capacity of a thousand, but we didn't need that much room. So as to open up the floor, The large conference table was removed and placed in temporary storage. Now the boys had the freedom of moving around if they wished. Baby Austin went first. He had borrowed an acoustic guitar and now saying Shadow. I could feel the love and the longing which informed his voice. You walk into the room So perfect but unaware Making me stop and stare Every time I heard he broke your heart Can I just fix you boy? Show you a different world? I'll take you anywhere I'll put you on a throne I'll lay down my heart, I swear And I'll make sure that you'll never be alone." The song was a already poignant when I heard the recorded version. Now that I was getting to hear it performed live, it became positively heartbreaking. Austin held the last cord as long as he could, so that the guitar didn't seem to be just an instrument, but a mirror for his heart. Our applause started even as the last note died. Austin lubricated his throat with a drink of water before launching into his next set. This song could not be mistaken for a ballad. Austin had commandeered a large boom box into which he plugged an iPod. The music for the song minus the vocal track begins to play. Every able-bodied person Rose to their feet. Clapping in time to the beat we sang along. "I like the way, oh That you talk to me I like the way, oh That you scream my name, baby I don't know how But I know you're the one I'm standing my ground Not when I used to run It feels like a dream But I know that I'm up I'm up all night All night with you I don't feel like dancing with nobody else It don't feel romantic with nobody else Can't you see that baby I don't want nobody else but you I don't feel like dancing with nobody else It don't feel romantic with nobody else Can't you see that baby I don't want nobody else but you!" I felt excited as the music captured me. I barked a couple times when the song was over and the guys thought that was a riot. Austin took a bow then launched into his last number. "I built my walls up high But now they're falling and you're the reason why And with you I'm not alone Cause you are the one I've waited for But my heart's been locked away I hid inside just so I'd feel safe I'll give in, won't be afraid Cause you are the one I've waited for." Hope soars through me as I sense Austin's steady gaze aimed in my direction. As the song progresses, Austin moves closer and closer. Now he is standing right next to me as he begins the third verse. "Boy you are the I've waited for This is love, it's love, it's love This is love, it's love, it's love I've been searching so long for a feeling like this Cause you are the one I've waited for Boy you are the I've waited for Yeah, you are the one I've waited for!"
The words wrapped around me, drawing me in. Protecting me. Sheltering me. A promise of permanence. At The conclusion of the song, Austin leans close. I sense is intention and so turn my face up. Our lips meet and the kiss is feather soft. Reaching up, I snag his shirt. Pulling him closer, I angle my mouth so as to deepen the kiss. For that one moment, Austin and I are completely alone. Jack & Jack. Nick Jonas. A hotel full of guests. None of that exists. His hand begins to creep beneath my shirt. I know it is seeking my nipples. Before we can get too far, the spell breaks. Someone applauds and Nick wolf whistles. "You totally bombed it man!" I glared balefully in the direction from which the voice had originated. " do you mind?" I snap. Nick pretends not to hear me. Under my fingers, I felt Austin's dick throbbing, desperate to escape its prison. He pulled away from me and took a few moments to compose himself. " your turn now nikki." Austin says curtly. Nick sashays to the front of the room. He rolls his hips in a deliberately prerogative manner as he moves. His tight jeans leave little to the imagination. Beside me Austin mutters, "asshole." I can tell that he doesn't really mean it though. Nick launches into his first set. "I don't like the way he's looking at you I'm starting to think you want him too. Am I crazy? Have I lost ya. Even know I know you love me Can't help it. I turn my cheek, music up And I'm puffing my chest. I'm getting red in the face, you Can call me obsessed. It's not your fault that they hover I mean no disrespect. It's my right to be hellish I still get jealous." I love this song and Nick has also come prepared with the background music. We start clapping and those who are able to start stomping in rhythm. as Nick reaches the chorus, we join in. "Cause you're too sexy, beautiful And everybody want a taste. That's why (that's why) I still get jealous. Cause you're too sexy, beautiful And everybody want a taste. That's why (that's why) I still get jealous." Despite the subject material, the song is upbeat and engaging. We are thoroughly enjoying it. The last line dwindles away into silence. We applaud. Nick takes only long enough to switch tracks before wading into his next number. "Baby I'll just take a chainsaw to the sofa Where I held your body close for so long, so long Walk in the house, lights are off In the closet by the door, there's your coat I wasn't thinking of you before Too many rooms in this house and we keep going out What the hell is that about? We gotta find a way to be okay Baby I'll just take a chainsaw to the sofa Where I held your body close for so long, so long I'm gonna break the fuckin' China Cause it's just one more reminder you're gone, you're gone!" This song is a good one also, but it is undoubtedly more somber then the last. The high left over from his last song sobers as we listen to Nick. Austin's hand had crept with the stealth of a kitty's quiet paws into mine. As Nick sings about destroying the Reminders of his broken relationship, Austin squeezes my hand tightly. "I can put a sign in the lawn But it would mean I would wanna let you go And I don't wanna let you go I can put a sign on the lawn But it would mean I would wanna let you go And I don't wanna let you go I'll just take a chainsaw to the sofa Where I held your body close for so long, so long I'll burn everything that binds us Take a lighter to the mattress you're on We were building brick by brick Now it's just a quicksand home, yeah I'll take a chainsaw to the sofa Where I held your body close for so long, so long Yeah, so long." Nick finishes and for a moment there is only quiet. I don't know about anyone else, but for me this song was significant. I too had experienced the breaking up of a relationship. The feeling of loss. The intendant despair. Despite the fact that I had never really wanted to destroy all reminders of failed relationships, I understood all too well. Nick waited a minute just letting this song sink in. Finally he started the music up for his last set. "I, keep trying to escape from this cage that I live in This prison in my head Oh I, own many mistakes from all of the things I never did I carry my defense Now I'm running for the fences on my own And I can see the warning Yeah I can see the warning, warning It's brighter than the morning, morning Keeps trying to turn me right around And it's all I ever wanted It's all I ever wanted, wanted I'm breaking the warning down, down I, I got something inside it keeps burning my body til it's sore Keeps wanting more and more." Nick concludes the song with a flourish. He takes several deep bows while we applaud. Jack & Jack assume their places at the front of the room. They're holding hands. Johnson playfully bumps Nick out of the way. "Dude, quit hogging the spotlight." Nick only herumphs as he makes his way to his seat next to us. The pop/rap duo step into their first song. I'm a better man 'cause of you Thought we had a chance That's true But you have weapons Didn't know you have weapons Now I'm insecure and stressed out When someone gets close, I shut down Always we second-guessin' Got so many questions You did it to me, 'cause he did it to you And now I'm gonna turn around And do it to my new girl I do it to her, she do it to him This cycle won't ever end 'cause Hurt people hurt people Hurt people, so lethal Around and around we go Guess we're used to the pain Everybody heart breaking Hungover, love wasted It's too much we can't take it Yeah, we all feel the pain Hurt people hurt people Hurt people hurt people." Jack & Jack work well together. The performance seems choreographed. Never once do they stumble over a word or phrase. They act out the lyrics with body language and gestures. They don't trip over one another as they move around. Austin is muttering a running commentary in my ear. " The boys are giving each other the most adorable puppy dog eyes I've ever seen." Austin grunts in amusement, but I feel sure that they understand the song because they have lived it. The boys pause to give a bow then marched into their second piece. "Lately I can feel us drifting Both of us been acting different We used to be so consistent Is there nothing left to say, say? Now I see your face and I just don't know you Like the picture's there but it's not quite focused And I know it won't, but I'm still here hoping That it gets better now It gets better now, yeah No more late nights, us just talking Used to FaceTime, now you just calling It's no one's fault but some things just fall apart, yeah I smoke two cigarettes and I don't even smoke, no Now the sun's coming up and I'm halfway sober And I know it won't but I'm still here hoping That it gets better now, whoa! "(You got me fucked up, damn) I'm really tryin' to let go But I can't delete the messages When you said you'd be my girl forever, shit Now it's been a week and it's really starting to settle in We were movin' full speed, now we're just back-pedalin' All those other couples that were fallin' out of love We would always talk about how we were so far ahead of them Energy between us, it was heaven sent Then it went straight from A+ to the negatives Outta control, that was after I got off of the road You hadn't seen me in like, 45 days I could tell it in your face Yes, something was up My arms opened wide Open, waiting for you to jump But you just walked up slow Nah, wait, this ain't the girl I know C'mon, where she at? Give her back Just makin' my jokes, didn't even crack a smile, damn That's all it took for me to know there was another man It's all downhill!" Jack & Jack perform two more songs. "I don't think I ever really had her I don't think it even really matters How'd we go from happy ever after? To nothing but a beautiful disaster Now I see you out here on your own, and you been Sippin' on the Hennessy, like you don't remember me Girl, we both know, don't pretend That we ain't got history We got so much tension, could cut it with a knife Too much tension, but I don't really mind All this tension is building up inside And I wanna break it with you." Jack & Jack roll over into their last set. "I can see that you been hurtin' Baby, don't beat yourself up Be right here with me now (Be right here with me now) All of your tears, he ain't worth 'em Well, yeah, that isn't love I'm right here with you now Just let it all go, and I'll pull you close We'll take it real slow Baby we can shut the world out Oh yeah I'll be your distraction, your distraction I'll be your distraction, your distraction 'Cause he don't even matter, even matter Baby we can shut the world out!" The boys finish the song in usual Jack & Jack style. "Yeah it's like passive aggression, turn to passion, I'm so distracted You're stuck in traffic, but wanna move on and break the habit It ain't gon' happen, unless you let me take the reins No shame, come have a glass of this jack And get out your jacket, I'll show you just who jack is What's good ? How's your day been? Everything I'm sayin for the sake of replacin' them thoughts in your brain 'bout that fuckboy Who played you like your love was a game I can't sit back, be frank I can't sit here and watch you in pain 'cause I was here to save you And all he did was drop the ball and break you You say you want somethin' real, girl that makes two of us Aye, so let's vibe, no strings attached, I'm just tryin' to distract you from him I'ma catch you every time, it's me plus you, just do the math You'll be fine, you'll be fine, you'll be fine!" The applause is thunderous in the confined space. Jack & Jack kiss tenderly as the song closes. Austin leans close and asks in a low voice, " how you doing Buttercup? You enjoying yourself?" Surprised, I nod vigorously. Austin briefly squeezes my shoulder. " does anybody want an encore?" Gilinsky is asking. " do April Bloom." I call out. " your wish is our command young master." Gilinsky says seriously. The song begins. "Click, clutchin' Got it stock and push some buttons Lift the lid up, lick a lighter Then I'm off to duckin' Quit touchin' Don't you know it's rude to bust it? Lookin' lavish, grab my luggage Come to let it touch the road I catch the money, let it go I feel it deep within my soul I'm moving grounds with it I'm breaking ceilings with it I'm making feelings, feelings And they keep telling me to wait I think I'll go the other way, mmm I know that all these people fake I think they're jealous of my face I don't intend to make mistakes But life just happens, this is fate I feel so blue when skies are grey This April gloom is here to stay with me." We make our way out of the conference room. Dillon and Gerwyn fell into step on either side of us. " did you boys have a good dinner?" I was startled. " where have you guys been all this time?" Gerwyn chuckles. "Awe how sweet! You actually missed us." He nudges Dillon. " don't you think that's sweet?" Dillon does. " we been here the whole time." He tells me. " at least from the time you set wheel in the restaurant. We just decided to become part of the wall. Give you boys some time to yourselves." "Great concerts btw." " what's next on the agenda?" Austin rolls his eyes. " as if you guys don't know." Gerwyn huffs. " One does not parade the fact that one is all knowing, lest he makes lesser mortals uncomfortable." " you're full of shit!" Austin tells Gerwyn. Dillon whistles. " I've been telling him that for decades, but he doesn't listen." "Awe fuck up you brats! You're just jealous on account of the fact that you guys can't tell one end of a guitar from the other." Austin pushes me towards the elevators as Gerwyn and Dillon continue to squabble good naturedly behind us. " how did they ever get together?" I wondered aloud. " The universe is full of mystery." Austin seems to feel that this is explanation enough.
