Ok...I suppose I do need to state all of the legal BS:

This story and all of its character are copyrighted to Dustin Vandeventer aka, Eric B. Klavier and may not be reproduced without my consent. The characters in this story are fictional! Any likeness to real life characters is purely coincidental, though some cities mentioned in the story are real, I will mention very few, and most will be completely fictional. I wrote this story as a fantasy about myself. :)

A warning about this story: It does depict the relationship between two consenting boys aged seventeen and sixteen. IF this offends you, or is illegal to read in your region, it goes without saying, please do not continue. Otherwise...do enjoy! I had a lot of fun dreaming this one up...and I hope you will enjoy reading it. :)

So, without further or due...I introduce: The Anniversary

Eric and Jack had been dating now for three months exactly. Eric was excited...and on some level Jack guessed he was too. To be honest, Jack just wasn't into celebrating monthly anniversaries. Maybe six months, or yearly, but monthly just didn't seem too important. But...for some reason it did to Eric, so he did his best to humor him; plus it was nice to have someone excited to be with him month after month. His previous girlfriends scarcely seemed to care one way or another if he was their boyfriend.

Jack, the tall, blonde jock had had many, many girlfriends. Half of the girls in his class, point of fact, and several from the classes above and below him. With his easy-going, light-hearted personality, he was practically addictive. His smile melted hearts, and when he was in pain people around him felt for him. And yet...even with all this, he fell for Eric. The school "weirdo".

People liked Eric as well, but differently. It was a sort of respect. A respect of the mystery...like that of a diplomat from a foreign country. Jack had fallen hopelessly for the boy the first time he'd seen him. The way the boy moved, the way he spoke...it was like watching an ethereal being. Eric didn't seem to walk...he seemed to float above the ground. And his voice...when he wanted you to know something, seemed to speak directly into your mind. People, animals and things seemed to bend to his will. As far as looks go, Jack never wanted to let his hands leave Eric. Eric's brown, wavy hair blew effortlessly in breezes. Though not nearly as built as Jack, Eric had a musculature all of his own. It made him not built and bulky, but sleek and smooth. The most important aspect of Eric's appearance was his eyes. They seemed to change shades with whatever he wore...or whatever mood he was in. Around Jack, they always seemed to sparkle a shiny, brilliant silver. When he was angry, they flared and seemed to glow a furious fiery blue, as though if he didn't contain himself they'd blast torches at his enemies. And yet...they always had that hypnotic beauty about them. Jack had often wondered if he was some sort of vampire, the way people would look into his eyes and obey his every whim. But when Jack was looking in them, he never seen a monster...just a boy; a boy needing loved...and a boy wildly in love with him.

As it was the three month anniversary, Jack had put together a nice dinner for Eric. For their two-month, Eric had really thrown a big deal. He managed to get his parents out of the house somehow and fix a nice candlelight dinner with a spice cake for desert. So, Jack did his best to reciprocate. His mom helped a lot, and his older sister.

Jack and Eric hadn't told anyone yet that they were dating except a couple girls that'd asked them out, and a few other gay guys in school. Eric's parents, Jack knew full well, did NOT know that Eric was with him. Jack's on the other hand, had confronted him about it. Well, Jack's sister and mother did. His dad knew and had actually given his blessing, stating that Eric was being a good influence on him. The meeting with his mother and sister was slightly more uncomfortable.

"Jack...we love you." Jack's mother said nervously, as if trying to find the right words for what she was about to say. "And we want you to be happy...we'd die to make you happy."

"It's just Eric...he's..." Jack's sister attempted to continue. "He's a very good boy...a true gentleman."

"Ok...I'm going to have to drop the mother voice here and give it to you straight, son." There was a pause from his mother. "Jack, we're not saying you're not a good boy, or a gentleman...but to put it bluntly...Eric is from a completely different upbringing. From what we've seen with your past girlfriends, you're not the settling down type...maybe you will become so...but not yet. You cheated on two of your last girlfriends, and outright dumped your last one."

"We're not trying to make you feel bad, Jack...we swear it!" The sister butted in.

"But Jack...this boy, I've seen the way he looks at you. I don't know if you have...or if you care yet, but we have. And we'd never want to see either of you hurt, but I really think that if you're going to be making love to him and dating him..." She paused again thinking of words, "really, we don't want to see you hurt him."

The words hit like a bomb shell. Jack had never thought about hurting anyone...least of all Eric. The past girlfriends...somehow he just hadn't cared about them enough to think about hurting them. He did what he wanted and didn't waste time thinking.

"Jack...Eric loves you. And he may think he'd be able to handle you doing shit like cheating and looking at other people..." his sister said. "But he can't. We love Eric like a part of the family; he is practically part of our family."

"Jack, we're trying hard not to say what we really mean. You are immature and a cheat, so your history shows. Eric is not. Eric needs a man that will be his partner for as long as he can bear it...he needs a man, not a playboy. All we're saying is...think good and hard right now before you see him again...and think if you can be with him, just him. You have some growing up to do if you want to keep him...and if you're not ready then you had best tell Eric that and let him be just a friend." Jack's mother finally dropped the bricks on him.

Jack contemplated a moment in silence. He wasn't angry or offended...he knew his record was B-A-D bad. But when he thought of leaving Eric...something literally felt like it would kill itself.

"Honey...we're not trying to hurt your feelings or sabotage your love life." His mother said soothingly. "We really are just trying to make you see that...there is more than one person in this relationship. He would never tell you this stuff, so we needed to. Jack, please think hard before you keep him. If you hurt him the way you did to the others...I hate to say it, as I am your mother, but I would have a lot of trouble respecting you after that. I'm sorry."

"I'm sorry too, Jack. We sound like a couple of bitches in here." Stacie, Jack's sister said.

Jack looked at them both.

"It's ok..." Jack paused for a deep breath. "really...it is. I understand. And I know my record is...awful. But...please don't tell me to leave Eric. He's...different." Jack paused. "He's unlike anyone I've ever known. It's like...every time I'm around him it's like a first time...like I could know him for a hundred years and never gets tired. I've never felt like this about anyone...ever. And...it's not just the thought of leaving him that makes my head spin...for once...I'm actually not interested in anyone else. It's like...I might see a good looking guy or girl and think `nice', but I have no urge to really meet them or try anything with them."

Jack's mother and sister looked at each other.

"Jack...congratulations...you're in love." Jack's sister said. "We seen that Eric was falling like that for you...but we never actually paid attention to you looking at him."

Not the most pleasant of conversations, though far from the worst he'd had with his mother; and for that matter it was the blessing Jack received from his family for dating Eric.

The doorbell rang and Jack ran to answer it. He was in his nicest "Sunday" clothes.

Eric was standing in his moderate concert dress, basically a little nicer than "Sunday" clothes, but not a tux.

Jack pulled the boy into the house and closed the door. Then turned, wrapped his arms around Eric pulling him closer and kissed him hard.

They pulled away after what seemed eternity. Their eyes sparkled at each other.

"Come on...come see!" Jack said.

Eric giggled.

"You sound like an excited little boy showing off his favorite car collection." Eric commented. Jack grinned ear to ear at him.

Jack led him to the dining room where, with his mother and sister's help, a beautiful candlelight dinner was arranged. The best china and silverware, along with two wine glasses and a bottle of sparkling cider were arranged neatly.

Eric gasped. "Oh, Jackie!" He swung his arms around his boyfriend and kissed him. "It's beautiful!"

"Not as beautiful as you are tonight, Eric." Jack kissed him hard again, and then said. "Happy anniversary."

"Happy anniversary, Jack." He just hugged him.

Everything went perfectly. Jack couldn't believe how much Eric seemed to enjoy the dinner. He'd never seen Eric so happy, in fact.

"You seem quite content, my love." Jack finally commented.

"You have no idea." Eric smiled and paused. He looked at Jack hard, a strange, almost painful look came into his eyes. "Jack...I know you love me...and I know there's no extent you wouldn't go to prove it. Nobody's ever done that for me. Nobody's ever went to any extent to show they love me...but they've said it plenty of times." A tear escaped Eric's eye.

"What is it, Eric?" Jack grasped his hand over the table.

"It's just...so...beautiful...you're just so...perfect." Eric said with a smile. "Let's just leave it at...you have no idea what this means to me; you went to lot of effort, even though your mother and sister helped, you still put in a lot of effort and planning and...time...to put this together for us."

A nagging voice in Jack's head reminded him of something Eric had told him. He'd said he needed to tell Jack something at their anniversary dinner, possibly show something.

"Thank you, Jackie." Eric said as he took a wine glass. "To us?"

"To us!" Jack confirmed taking his own glass and lightly tinking it against Eric's.

They sipped.

"Eric...a while back you told me you had something you needed to tell me tonight." Jack said. "Said that we weren't ready at the last anniversary, but tonight we would be."

Eric instantly looked nervous, like a deer in headlights. His hands shook a little.

"Oh...I did...uh...didn't I?" Eric's voice was shaky too. His hands knotted themselves in circles in his lap.

"What is it...are you ok?" Jack's heart was dropping. "This is it..." Jack's mind screamed, "he's leaving me. He's decided that I'm not good enough for him and it's time to see other people. NOOOO!!!"

"Yes..." Eric paused. "I'm fine. I just...I have a secret that...well...I've never told anyone. My parents don't know it completely...and I've never trusted anyone enough to tell it to. Jack, I'm going to tell you something...and it will sound crazy, but I swear on our love it is true! You know I love you and value our trust more than life itself...I would never lie to you or make something up."

"What?" Jack said.

Eric took a few deep breaths.

"Jack...I'm not exactly a...a...human." Eric said gently.

"A what?" Jack asked. His mind was blank with shock.

"A sorcerer...or I suppose a closer word for it in your language is...a dragon." Eric said. "Jack, please don't think I'm lying, or that I'm making this up. I promise it's true...and though I don't want to...I can prove it to you. Jack...I love you...I..."

"Eric...please...stop." Jack said. He looked in his lover's eyes. Eric was scared to death...afraid that Jack was going to throw him out...or hit him.

"Eric, if you say that you're a sorcerer, or a...dragon...then I believe you. I love you, Eric. I don't care...you could tell me you're the incarnation of Adonis...and god knows I'd believe you in an instant."

Eric blinked.

"You...you do?"

"Yes, every word."

"Jackie...I love you." In a flash Eric was around the table and throwing his arms around Jack's neck.

"I love you too, and that I know." Jack smiled and kissed him.

"Jack...I want to show you something. Some...place." Eric said. He took Jack's hand and led him away from the remnants of the fantastic meal. "Do you remember that first night after you met me, and I came to you in a dream and spoke to you?"

Jack's memory flashed back.

"Yes...I do."

"Well...I did it because I loved you even then. I wanted to see the real you."

"I'm never fake with you."

"I wanted to see all of you." Eric said leading him to Jack's bedroom.

They stopped in front of Jack's closet-door mirror. It was a full sized mirror.

"Look." Eric pointed.

For a moment, all Jack seen was Eric and himself. It looked so...right. Eric reached out his hand and as his refection did the same, the place their fingers met suddenly seemed to ripple like water. The reflection of Eric and Jack was tattered with ripples, like a pool of water.

A strange blue light began to emanate from the mirror. The water-like surface of the mirror began to swirl like a whirlpool and a wind began to suck at the two boys standing in front of it. Jack started to back away.

"No...please, Jackie. Stay with me and hold my hand. This is a place you need to see...a place I must show you." Eric said firmly. He held Jack's hand tighter.

Jack looked at Eric for a moment beside him, then back at the mirror. Eric began to walk into the mirror as the image of a room materialized behind the swirling surface.

It was like walking through a film of water...except that they didn't get wet. In an instant Jack and Eric were standing in a large room lit by candles and torches. Jack looked behind them and his bedroom was a rippled blur, then just a large full-size mirror only reflecting the room they were now in.

"Eric," Jack paused a second, "where are we?"

"We are in my home." Eric stated factually.

"But I thought..."

"Jack, I stay with my parents in the mortal world, but I grew up here...I have my true belongings here. This is my home. No matter where I move in the mortal realm, this is always going to be my house." Eric looked at Jack again.

"You grew up here?" Jack asked tentatively. He was having trouble comprehending his lover living in such a dark, strange, alien place. It looked like a room in an old English castle.

"It's not anywhere near England." Eric said. "I assure you, we are a long way from home."

"You read my mind..."

"I do it a lot, trying to figure out just what's actually happening to you." Eric looked deeply into Jack's eyes. "Jack, if you want me to stop, I swear I will. I like to look in your mind, especially when you're not physically with me. It makes me feel...close to you even if I'm here and you're not."

"Eric...you know I have nothing to hide from you." Jack paused. "But I do wish there was a way to even the playing field at least a little. I mean...you can look into my mind whenever you want and see whatever you want...but I can't do anything. I mean...I would kill to see some of the things you see, some of the dreams you have...some of the thoughts you have racing through your mind when we're together."

"That's another reason I brought you here, Jack." Eric said. "I want to take you...how to I put this into your mortal language? I want to basically take you to be my mate. My life, and afterlife partner."

"Really?!" Jack's question bounced off the walls.

"Yes, I love you Jack. You are unlike anything I've ever met...mortal or otherwise. I want to spend the rest of my immortal life...with you by my side." There was a pause. "But first...I want you to know exactly what you're getting in to...who you'll be standing with."

Eric pulled away from Jack slowly and walked to the center of the room.

"Please stand a little closer to the wall." Eric said. Then after a moment he said, "please, don't be afraid. I would never hurt you, no matter how I look."

"I know." Jack said.

Eric smiled, then closed his eyes. For a moment it was all dead silent, then Eric's skin began to glow blue and then became like water, rippling like the surface of the mirror. It began to change color, to a dark, iridescent blue. The smaller boy's form began to morph first into a ball of glowing blue light, then it expanded into the shape of a massive reptile. Horns grew out of the forehead. Eric opened his eyes, for a moment they appeared like his normal eyes, then elongated and turned into giant blue lights. As the light began to dim, the pupils of his eyes became slits, like a snake's eyes. His mouth was closed, but Jack knew that inside were massive, sharp teeth. Eric's hands had morphed into large, reptilian feet and ended in five razor-sharp talons on each foot.

At first Jack back away.

"Please...don't run, Jack." Eric's voice echoed in Jack's mind. "It's me...the real me...or more of...a part of the real me."

Jack approached the dragon tentatively and put out his hand.

"Jack...you don't have to touch me if you don't want...I understand. I'm not very pretty like this."

"Eric...I want to." Jack said. "My god...how many guys ever touch a real, beautiful dragon...and how many know that the dragon would never hurt them?"

With that, Jack let his fingers run lightly on Eric's neck. The dark, night-blue iridescent skin looked coarse and rough, but was as smooth as a snake's back. Jack ran his hand up Eric's scales to his head. His hands gently traced up Eric's horns and down around his brow. Then Jack looked into Eric's eye.

This was it...the eye Jack had seen so many glimpses of when Eric was making love...or upset. Just a glimpse at a time; it wasn't frightening to Jack. The eyes made Jack think of a beautiful blue sky.

"Eric...you're...you're beautiful!" Jack said.

"What?!" Eric's voice said. "Did you spike the cider?!"

"No...I'm serious. You really are beautiful." Jack smiled and planted a kiss on the creature's snout. A moment went by with Jack staring and the immense creature.

The dragon nearly filled the room. His eyes were almost as big as Jack's head, and each foot was as big as a bean bag chair. Eric's head was almost as big as Jack's body.

"Eric...it'll sound silly...but I've always wanted to see...ummm..." Jack nervously fought for words.

"A dragon dick?" Eric suggested.

Jack laughed. "Not really...that would be interesting...but...I was meaning...don't laugh...I want to see your wings."

"My what?" Eric asked.

"Your wings; you do have wings, don't you?"

"Oh...umm...yeah, of course. Let me move a little over." Eric maneuvered himself closer to the center of the room again. He spread his wings out...massive iridescent folds of tissue spread out over bones as wide as Jack's thighs put together. Jack marveled at his lover's flying machines.

"Oh my god...they're...amazing."

"Thank you." A pause followed. "Sometime...Jack, I will have to take you flying."

"Flying?" Jack gulped. "But Eric...I'm scared of heights...you know that."

"Not when you're with me. Trust me...it will be fun!"

"Maybe."

"What about now?"

"WHAT?!" Jack stepped back.

"Jack, please. I haven't been able to stretch the old piles of flesh in ages...please, come with me! I want you to ride me." Eric waited. "Jack, you do trust me...don't you?"

Jack paused for a moment before speaking.

"With my life Eric, and more."

"Then just use my wing joint as a stirrup...lift yourself up onto my back."

"But...I don't want to hurt you..."

"Jackie...this skin is strong enough to withstand a sword made out of diamond being thrust into it...diamond will break before it cuts me. Trust me, my love...you won't hurt me."

Jack grabbed onto the ridge of Eric's neck, and then used his foot on Eric's wing to hoist himself onto the back.

"Ok, just scoot up above the wings, just below my neck." Jack obeyed. "That's it, love. Go ahead and grab hold the neck for now. The take offs and landings are the worst part."

Jack grabbed as tight as he could.

"Oooh baby!" Eric laughed into Jack's mind.

The dragon began to walk out through the massive wooden doors outside. They threw themselves open as he approached.

The air was damp and cool on Jack's skin as the dragon reared up on his hind legs and began to wave his massive wings. Jack felt his stomach lurch slightly as the dragon rapidly shot upward, like a large rollercoaster; he clung tighter to the dragon's neck. All at once the racing upward momentum stopped as the dragon turned more horizontal.

"Jack...look!"

Jack cautiously opened his eyes. They were hundreds of miles above the ground, watching lights go by from the cities below. The darkness helped hide the height from Jack's human eyes. Then Eric gently moved his body and they went higher.

He noticed it was no longer cool. His polo had been replaced with a thick, black wool shirt, his shorts were replaced with loose black wool pants and a long, dark blue wool cape now covered his back. He sat up not thinking.

"How you doing up there?" Eric asked, noticing the change in position.

"My clothes...they..."

"I replaced them for a bit. It's too cold up here for them."

"Thank you."

"Look!"

Jack looked around at the fantastical place they were at now. The clouds looked like heaps of ground fog floating and drifting below Eric's talons. Eric's shadow was black on the thick, white masses. Jack looked over and seen a massive thunderstorm. Lightning flashed within and illuminated the large swirl of cloud.

"Oh my god...Eric..."

"Happy anniversary, Jack."

Jack looked down at Eric's massive head. It glimmered bright blue in the moonlight as he ran his hands along it.

"You wanna try standing?"

"Umm...I dunno." But without warning Jack leapt to his feet. He couldn't believe what he was doing...he was now thousands of feet above the ground, riding the back of a living animal...and standing. But he didn't feel afraid...it felt as though he were just standing on the ground, except for the wind.

"Jack...I love you."

"And I love you, Eric."

"Come...let's get back to the castle. I want to show you something else."

"Ok." Jack sat down gingerly.

Eric turned in midair and Jack felt a massive tug as he suddenly launched himself back towards the castle.

"WHOA!!!" Jack yelped gleefully.

The lights were a blur as they descended.

"This time we'll make an entrance." Eric said.

The castle came into view and Jack gasped. It was a large, black figure against the night. A deep moat surrounded the dark fortress, and a long drawbridge lined with torches was in view.

"Is all of this yours?"

"Yes. It is my inheritance."

"But your parents aren't dead yet!"

"No...but my master is. I was his best student. He chose me as his heir."

"My god...that's incredible."

As they approached the same doors they'd exited into the courtyard, Jack noticed Eric passed over them. Instead he aimed for a high tower. As he approached, the roof of the tower seemed to disappear.

Eric began to shrink in size.

"What the...Eric...what's happening?"

The blue glow blasted briefly around the dragon, and in a flash, Eric was a boy again with Jack in his embrace.

They landed in a large bedroom. The roof seemed to grow back from the walls across.

"That was scary."

"Like I said, take offs and landings are the worst."

"Especially when you morph in mid-flight with a man on your back!"

"Sorry."

"Still...that was amazing!" Jack gushed. "Oh my god; I've never seen anything so beautiful in my life!!!"

"Yes...it's quite breathtaking. My master took me long ago on my first flight." Eric took a deep breath and his smile faded a little. "It's breathtaking the first few hundred times...then...it gets cold."

"Cold...I thought dragons..." Realization suddenly dawned on Jack. "It gets lonely?"

Eric nodded sadly.

"When I completed my training...I was sent back to the mortal realm. Very, very few sorcerers live strictly in the magic realm. There's just nothing to be gained here. No life. But magic must be learned here, in order to maintain control of our powers there. Similarly, we must follow the law of sorcerers. We have rulers, and we have a council to enforce laws. My master sent me away. I received a letter a day later that he had passed away and I was the heir...as well to his legacy. It wasn't three days after I returned I met you."

Jack was silent and let Eric continue.

"My master was...more of a parent to me than anyone else in the world. He raised me from the time I was four till I was sixteen. He managed to train me and keep me...while at the same time ruling...well...everything. He was the Count...or I suppose in your language it would be like and Emperor. He ruled the rulers, and the council."

"Wait...does that mean you..."

"I also inherited that."

"Jackie...I'm royalty...but if you don't want that...I understand. I don't care if you rule with me by my side...I'll give it up. I can forfeit the throne to another sorcerer...it wouldn't be any trouble. But...please." Eric got down on his knee. He pulled out a small box and opened it. A ring with a dark, iridescent blue gem was within. "Would you please make me the happiest form in this universe and be my mate?"

Jack looked at the ring. It glinted in the fire, just as Eric's eyes did.

"Yes, Eric. I will." Jack said.

"YAY!" Eric shrieked and jumped up he gently put the ring onto Jack's finger and wrapped his arms around him. He kissed Jack harder and more passionately than he ever had before.

"So...is that it?" Jack asked as they pulled away.

"Huh?"

"Is that all we need?" Jack asked. "I mean...I thought it would be more...mystifying...more fantastical becoming a dragon's lover."

"Oh...no...there's more." Eric said. "I don't want to scare you away."

"Not happening...you've put a ring on my hand."

Eric lifted Jack easily into his arms and moved him to the bed. He then kissed Jack hard on the mouth. With their eyes closed, Jack scarcely noticed his clothes disappear along with Eric's.

Jack felt Eric's naked skin...and knew exactly what he was doing. They'd made love so many times before they knew every inch of each other's bodies. This time, however was different. Eric's hands seemed to be all over Jack, and his kiss seemed like he was breathing fire into Jack's lungs. Jack tried to squeal in surprise, but Eric wouldn't let up. Suddenly they began to rise off the bed...first a foot or two, then they were ten feet in the middle of the air. Jack tried to pay attention, but Eric was relentless. His hands, his lips, his...fangs?!

"Eric...what's going on...are you going to...bite me? Please don't hurt me..." Jack pleaded.

Eric stopped a moment and looked at Jack. His eyes were glowing blue, but were still human shaped.

"Jackie...I wouldn't never do anything I thought would hurt you." Eric said.

Jack let his lover continue to ravage his body.

"Ohh...Eric!" Jack squealed as Eric ground his crotch into his. Eric moved his head down. He sucked on Jack's neck a long time, then continued. He carefully traced out each nipple with his tongue and teased it mercilessly with the tip of his tongue before sucking it gently. Then he moved to Jack's belly.

Jack's body was on fire with the lust Eric was pouring out. Eric's tongue on his chest drove him nuts, then his tickling his tummy with his tongue made him squeal and arch his back hard. Eric took his dick into his mouth and tormented the head with his tongue and then began to suck it.

"Ohhh...Eric!" Jack moaned.

Suddenly Eric stopped. Jack looked up at him. Eric was smiling. His two top canines had grown almost an inch long and were razor sharp. Jack noticed Eric's hands had grown long, sharp talons as well, though he was being careful not to hurt Jack's skin. The blue light began to gradually emanate from Eric's very skin.

Eric dove in at Jack again, kissing him hard on the mouth. Jack wrapped his arms around his lover. He felt a familiar push against his ass. Without a hesitation, Eric's cock slipped in as easy as if it'd been lubed up with grease. Jack clutched at his lover's smooth back as his cock began slipping in and out through his hole.

"Eric!!!" Jack gasped.

"Jack, I love you." Eric said.

"And I love you." Jack said and kissed Eric again.

Jack had never felt anything like this...never had they made love like this. It was like Eric was all over him at once, touching every pleasure spot and both love sides at once. He knew he couldn't handle this much longer. He opened his eyes. Eric stared into his eyes for a moment, then his eyes turned to the blue snake eyes. Jack watched his lover as he kissed his cheeks and ears and lips and moved to the neck. For a moment, he seen Eric's face back off and his mouth open. Eric's fangs were still firmly in place.

"Eric! Don't!!!" Jack tried to scream.

But it was too late. Eric gently eased his head forward and the next thing Jack felt was a great warmness on his neck. No pain...just heat, and he felt himself slipping into Eric. Then he felt Eric's cock again, now spewing cum into him...they were becoming one.

Jack couldn't take it anymore and exploded like a fire hose. He could feel Eric's warm essence flowing into him even as he felt his own blood flowing into Eric. Eric pulled away, his fangs had shrank to normal size again and he kissed Jack.

The blue light overtook Eric's skin and he became a solid blue light. As Jack inhaled, he breathed in the light and it filled his lungs. The light filled Jack's blood and flesh. His heart was illuminated for a moment through his chest. They became truly one breathing, living creature. Jack knew at that instant he and Eric were bound to each other forever. Then...as quick as it had began, Eric turned back into himself again.

Slowly, the boys were lowered back onto the bed. Eric never took his lips off Jack's until they touched down.

Finally, Eric collapsed onto Jack. Jack just held him tightly and gently stroked his back.

"What...what just happened?" Jack gasped breathlessly.

"I just officially claimed you as my mate for life." Eric said. "Not many sorcerers do this with a human...not many humans could handle the intensity of a sorcerer's energy flowing through them."

"I thought you were going to kill me." Jack admitted. "Especially when I seen the teeth." A shutter passed through him.

"Never." Eric said. "I didn't want to hurt you, so I made sure I dulled your pain senses to a point of non-existence." Eric frowned. "I know many that would not do that for a fellow sorcerer, much less a mortal. But that's the way sorcerers claim a mate. They must take part of the essence from their mate, and give part of their essence to their mate...to make them not two lovers, but one heart."

"What does this mean?"

"Think of it kind of like a dragon wedding." Eric smiled.

"That explains the ring."

They both laughed.

"But seriously...what does this mean?" Jack asked.

"It means...officially, we are now one. You aren't a sorcerer, but you are immortal like me. As my mate I've claimed you...so no other sorcerer or magic being will touch you intimately...and I'd hope no other mortal either. Our hearts beat as one heart, and our flesh is one flesh."

"Never!" Jack said.

"I mean...I'll tell you right now...there is such thing as a divorce for sorcerers. There are no laws about it, and there's no court room. It's taking back all your essence from your mate; and giving back all of theirs. I've never done it...never done the mate choosing either. But...so I hear, the divorce hurts a hell of a lot worse than the marriage."

"I agreed to be your mate, or husband...and I stand by that decision. " Jack said softly.

Eric smiled from ear to ear. Jack seen this just before everything went black as sleep took him.

When Jack woke, the room was dark. Something was missing.

He checked the time on the dresser: four in the morning. His hand reached out...the bed was cold. Eric was gone...and he had no idea where he was.

Quickly, Jack threw on his bathrobe and walked out of the blackened bedroom. He was in Eric's parents' house! He recognized the walls and pictures instantly.

"Eric?" Jack called. A soft, sweet sound came drifting through the air from down the halls.

Jack followed the sound to Eric's music room, where he found the dragon gently playing the piano. He was in a pair of tight fitting boxer briefs and nothing else. His eyes were closed as his fingers stroked his keys in a way that Jack knew he never could feel. Jealousy wasn't Jack's kind...and he was certainly not jealous of the piano under Eric's fingers...but he knew that the piano was more release than he could ever be for Eric.

Jack could only listen to his lover. In a way...he felt whenever he listened to the music of his lover, it was making love to him. The way it swirled and filled the room, seemed to be a part of the air itself...the scene itself...it took over Jack's mind whenever he truly listened to it. His hands gently found themselves on Eric's shoulders as he played. Jack knew that Eric wouldn't come to with just touch. Eric had played through tornadoes and wars.

The piece drew to a close and Eric jumped slightly.

"Jack!" Eric yelped. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wake you, hon."

"You didn't. I woke up..found you missing...and sought to find you." Jack smiled. "That was beautiful...when are you going to finally start giving this music to the world?"

And so ends this Chapter of "Riding The Fame". Write soon to dwvandeventer@hotmail.com, I'm hoping to get some new ideas for future chapters. Maybe...probably...a few chapters leading up to this Anniversary, such as the first time they met. :)

Next: Chapter 2
