Here is the sixth installment of Ryan's Odyssey. I hope everyone has being enjoying the story so far. The original picture in my mind of the way the story was gonna go has seemed to change, but I hope the changes are pleasing to all of you. My last two chapter didn't get much e-mail response, so I would really appreciate some feedback to let me know if you all are still enjoying the story, or if their is something I could do different. Any comments good or bad are appreciated.

RYAN'S ODYSSEY

CHAPTER SIX

I hate Ryan Paul Suttermill.

The whole town seems to be infatuated with their fucking golden boy. He throws a fart, and the whole stinking town seems to want to get a wiff of it, like it's magical or something. During football season you can't walk into any store in this town, and not hear somebody talking about something Ryan had did at the previous football game, or what they expected of him at the upcoming football game. He literally makes me sick, and I also hate that stupid faggot friend of his, Kyle Thomas. I know the motherfucker is gay, he just has that look, you know the one I'm talking about, in fact I think I've caught him checking out my ass a few times. I should just kick his ass for the fun of it.

Okay, so I'm jealous of Ryan, but all the glory he's receiving should be mine. It should all belong to Jarod Mitchell, me. I was the starting tailback for two years, and even though I may not have the natural ability that Ryan has, I still thought I was a fairly decent back, getting my fair share of yardage and touchdowns. What really pisses me off more, is I know Ryan has been taking home by the police more then once. My first and only time, I'm thrown in jail, supspended from the team, and the couch puts a stupid freshmen into start in my place, and he has a hayday, and when I finally get to play, I'm put on second string. I think it's all bullshit.

Revenge is sweet, but sweeter when it takes it's time.

I usually sat under the oak tree by the front entrance to the school. I could see everything from their, if you wanted to know anything about anyone at that school, all you had to do was ask. I was sitting under the tree, waiting for Ryan's truck to pull up. Even though I hated Ryan with all my guts, the stupid fuck thought we were real good friends. What a moron.

Instead of Ryan's truck, I saw Kyle pull up in his mother's Chevy Cavalier.

"Hey, Kyle," I yelled at him, "where's Ryan?"

"Sick, I quess," he said, walking towards me.

"Too much weekend," I replied.

Kyle just laughed and sat himself down on the grass next to me.

We kinda just sat there and commented on the new crop of upcoming freshmen girls and which ones we thought would put out, and which ones would just be wasting our time.

"So how was the party?" I asked. Even though I had been invited, I had been unable to attend due to a previous family commitment. "Oh, man," He said, "It was awesome. I got totally tarantau, and was macking on some fine looking hottie. I think she was Bobby's cousin. I think he said she's starting school here this year, but I haven't seen her yet."

The rest of the morning went by uneventfull. Old Miss Timberwood, gave us a stupid pop quiz, to see how much we had forgotten over the summer vacation. I think I did all right on it. When she noticed Ryan wasn't in class, she nearly went beserk. I think if she could have, she probably would have ran to his house with some chicken soup, or something like that to make sure golden boy was doing fine.

I had no idea what I was gonna do for lunch. I usually followed Ryan and Kyle, without their knowledge of course. One of these days I was gonna catch them doing whatever fags did, and then my plan for revenge would be put into action. I was sitting under the tree, when I saw Ryan's truck pull into the parking lot next to Kyle's mom's car. Oh, the day was starting to look up. Kyle jumped into Ryan's truck and they pulled out. I jumped into my own truck and took off after them. I had been real careful so they wouldn't see me. I thought they were going straight to Ryan's house like they usually did, but instead they turned at the corner of Tyler and fourth and pulled into the drive-up window of Carl's Burger Palace. They got something to eat, and to my surprise they didn't turn back towards Ryan's house, instead he headed out towards the lake. They pulled off on a side country road, I parked next to the side of the road and just waited. I don't know how much time had passed, and I was about to turn around and head back to town, when I looked up and saw Kyle running down the road, next thing I knew he fell down, and then Ryan was beside him, and then it happened. I couldn't believe my eyes.

They were kissing.

I grabbed my camera out of the glove compartment, and snapped the most beautiful picture I had ever seen.

Revenge was mine, and boy was it gonna be sweet.

We just kind held onto each other their in the middle of the road, neither one of us sure what to say next, but at that moment words weren't really necessary to express the feeling we were both feeling. I kissed him again, picked him up off the road, and started walking back towards my truck. It was decided through an unspoken agreement that neither one of us would be returning to school that afternoon. There was a note from my mother telling us she had decided to go ahead and go on into work, and for us to enjoy the afternoon, and she would talk to us about certain rules and regulations. I turned on the tv to some mindless afternoon talk show. You know those one's that always have shows about daughters being out of control. I thought they were funny.

"If Robin ever acted like that," I said, "mom, would probably slap the shit out of her, and then kick her out on the street." We weren't doing anything we hadn't done before, but for some reason the whole thing seemed and felt different, like it was the first time we were doing it. I quess that's what knowing the person your in love with, loves you back. I found two beers in the fridge, poured them into two glasses, handed one to Kyle and we toasted to our love, and our future together. At that moment I was the happiest man alive, I didn't think anything could ruin my happiness.

Until the phone rang.

I turned the picture over and over in my hand, the smile creeping across my face. In my mind's eye I could see Golden Boy on his knees begging for mercy. I laughed a cynical laugh. This was gonna be fun, I thought. Then another thought crossed my mind, not a pleasant one. What if the town was so infatuated by Ryan they didn't really care, as long as he won them a state championship.

Light Bulb, I knew exactly how I was gonna get my revenge.

I picked the phone up and dialed Ryan's number.

"Suttermill residence, Ryan speaking, "he said.

"Hey Golden Boy, "I said.

"Jarod, what's up?"

I had calculated my next move real carefully. "I need to talk to you, in person," I said, "meet me at the parking lot of McDonald's in fifteen minutes."

"I'm kinda busy right now, "he said.

I could just picture them naked, sucking on each other's cocks, and buttfucking each other. The thought almost made me puke.

"Oh, I think when you see what I"m holding in my hand," I said, turning the picture over, "you'll want to meet me. "Oh, and by the way, "I added for effect, "leave your boyfriend at home."

I hung up the phone before he could say another word.
