Gay

Hey everyone! I've been getting tons of emails, PLEASE keep them coming! Aim me at any time!

I know your all going to kill me because of this chapter...gulp! Here it goes...

CHAPTER SEVEN:

"She died because of me."

"No she didn't."

"Yes she did!" I yelled angrily.

"Alex sweetie-"

"Scott. You heard what she wrote on the bathroom wall before she killed herself."

"That was never proven! It's just a rumor."

"No it's not. You know that, Lindsay told me herself."

Scott let out a frustrated sigh, and left the apartment.

Lindsay came into our apartment bemused.

"Why did Scott leave? He looks pissed off dude."

"It's my fault Alexis died, and he won't believe it."

"Alex, it isn't your fault, like, you were just being who you were, like, born to be."

"You mean gay?"

"No, I mean blond retard."

"You're not very good at this whole comforting thing."

"Hey, I'm trying."

"I know. Just... I don't know what to do."

I sank down into one of the cream chairs of the family room. The T.V. was on, but the sound was off. It, besides the fire to ward away the fall chill, was the only source light to illuminate the dark night. Lindsay sat beside me.

"Alex, you can't beat yourself up over this."

"I'm not beating myself up. I'm just telling myself the truth."

Lindsay sighed, and got up.

"I should have known that if you wouldn't listen to Scott, you wouldn't listen to anyone."

"Scott just stop." I asked him wearily.

"What?" he asked, releasing his hold. He had just hugged me from behind.

"I'm not in the mood."

"You're never in the mood anymore."

I sighed and walked away to the kitchen.

"Baby."

No answer.

"Lex!"

No answer.

"ALEX."

"WHAT?!" I yelled angrily.

"Get your ass over here."

"No."

"Yes! Stop the all this damn moping around!"

"No."

I walked out onto the patio, as he chased me around the house.

"Just FUCK OFF!" I yelled. I stood shocked, my hands at my face. WHAT did I just say?!

Scott's face turned white with shock.

"What?" he said weakly.

"Scott, I didn't mean it." I said pleadingly

"Yeah...yeah you did."

"No I didn't!"

He turned away.

"Scotty!"

"A-Alex...I think we should... Go clear our heads. You don't want me around anymore, and I don't want to be told to fuck off. You should go."

"What?! No wait, this is ridiculous. We've been best friends forever!"

"Best friends split up."

"But you're my... NO! Scotty! I'm just tired!"

"You've treated me like this for a week."

"I'm just-"

"DUDE. Just go. I can't deal with you right now."

"Where?" I asked timidly.

He said the worst thing he could possibly say. Every word hurt more than anything I'd ever hear, no bashing, no foul words, no bigotry or hatred could ever live up to this.

"I don't care."

I ran from the room.
