Chapter #14

We woke up the following morning or rather the need to relieve full bladders woke us. Gray morning light was seeping in around the drawn shades and the room had a slight chill. The hardwood floors around the carpet and the tile of the bathroom floor were cold under our feet. We both reached the commode at the same time, sighing in relief, strong streams of golden urine splashing in the water.

"Good morning lover, you sleep well?" I asked looking in Shawn's sleep filled eyes.

"Pretty good except for your snoring." He said, yawning and wriggling his nose.

"I don't snore."

"I'll make a recording the next time." He said milking and shaking the last drops from his still half hard cock.

"Boy, aren't we grumpy this morning." I said leaning over and kissing his shoulder.

"I got a little cold last night, didn't you?"

"Someone must have turned the heat off. It is a little chilly in here but I was snuggled up next too you." I said.

"I hope the water is hot, I need a shower. " Shawn said pulling the curtain back.

"We both do but not together. Slip in that tub and someone could break a leg. You go ahead, I'll shave & brush my teeth while your showering."

The bathroom warmed up from the hot water running and there seemed to be plenty of it, it was steaming. The old fashioned tub was tricky even with a rubber mat. Someone had had the good sense to install handholds; they helped getting in and out. Shawn finished shaving and when I got out of the tub he took one of the fluffy towels and dried me off.

"I'm sorry babe, I should have done that for you but I was cold." I said sheepishly.

"Here let me warm you up." He said taking me in his arms his lips covering mine. We both probably tasted like toothpaste but his hard body pressed against mine, our tongues twisting in combat sent warm thrills through me.

"Warm enough now." He said his eyes sparkling.

"Keep that up and I things might get warmer."

"What's wrong with that." He said pulling me tighter.

"Nothing really but I believe we should see if our host's are up."

"There you go Kev, always logical."

"One of us has to be. How do you think we should dress?"

"Better dress warm, it looks kind of cool outside." Shawn said lifting the shade and looking out the window. Even in the gray white light his body gleamed, his magnificently chiseled chest rising and falling as he breathed.

"God but you are beautiful Shawn." I said quietly.

Shawn stood looking at me, his eyes gleaming and he moved towards me, his cock starting too swell.

"And you are very sexy as well as beautiful and I love you." He said brushing my lips with his, his soft brown eyes shining.

"Tell me that when we are old and wrinkled." I said reaching for my clothes.

He chuckled softly and handed me my shirt.

We both dressed in jeans, the long sleeved shirts we had bought in Lake George and Nike walking sneakers. We both had stopped wearing briefs but we put on cotton t-shirts.

There was the smell fresh coffee brewing as we walked down the stairs and out on the side porch. Mark and Lee were sitting at the same table as we walked in.

"Here they are, good morning." Lee said.

"Good morning." We both said together. "That coffee sure smells good."

"On the sideboard. Mrs. Corey will have a light breakfast for us shortly. Normally there would be a complete buffet set up but not with only the four of us." Lee said.

"Coffee will be great right now." Shawn said while I poured us coffee.

"Did you guys have enough blankets in your room? " Mark asked. "Uncle Lee put a couple extra on our bed, it got a little cooler last night then they expected I think."

"We were alright but we felt it this morning when we got up to take a pi. . . " Shawn said.

"Yeah, us too." Lee said grinning. "It should be warmer soon, Mr. Corey adjusted the thermostat when they got up."

The coffee was delicious and hot. Mark and Lee were dressed in matching dark blue Levi's, dark gray sweatshirts and the same style Nike's Shawn and I had on.

Even wearing sweatshirts the classic beauty of their chiseled bodies was apparent. Lee was a strikingly handsome man and the relationship with Mark couldn't have been more obvious. They both had dark brown hair, Marks was unruly while Lees was close cropped and wavy. Lee's eyes were a piercing dark brown where Mark's were hazel and both of them talked with their eyes. Their bodies were similar, Mark's physique was muscular and chiseled but his uncle while muscular looked to have more of a classic Greek body, lean and tightly defined.

Mark and Shawn had their heads together plotting and Lee was reading what looked like the business section of a local newspaper. He had a scratch pad and pencil and was making notations when he looked up.

"Would you like part of the paper while we're waiting for breakfast Kevin."

"No, no thanks Lee. To be frank, I don't read the newspaper that often but I see you are going over the stock quotations."

"Kevin?" Mark said looking our way. "Whenever we come up too New York or over here, it is supposed to be a working vacation, emphasis on vacation. Uncle Lee cannot seem to put business on the back burner for very long." He said glancing at Lee.

"Old habits are hard to break Sport. Besides, the NasDaq is a market you want to keep up with. Anyone for more coffee?" Lee said walking too the sideboard.

"I'll have another cup, please. Isn't the NasDaq a high tech market?" I asked.

"It is Kevin, are you interested in high tech investment?"

"I don't' know that much about it. I believe my Grandfather invested in some computer company stocks before he passed away but I don't know which ones." I said just as Mrs. Corey came in.

"Mr. Michaels, I've set up the table in the kitchen if that's alright, it's warmer in there."

"Sounds good Celia, we'll be in shortly. You guys ready for breakfast." He said looking around the table. "I'm just a little hungry."

Shawn and Mark didn't need urging, they were headed for the kitchen before we got up. The kitchen was warmer and the smell of fresh baked scones combined with other food odors made my mouth water.

The scones were almost like small cakes and melted in your mouth but if we had eaten everything on the table none of us would have been very comfortable for the rest of the day. Mrs. Corey had set the table with country ham, sausages, fruit, home fried potatoes, eggs too order and tall glasses of ice cold milk. I couldn't but wonder what a "normal" breakfast buffet would have been.

"Mrs. Corey." I said. "That was really a great breakfast."

"That makes me happy too hear, nothing I like better then seeing young men eat their fill. You should see my grandsons and my son eat."

"Kevin is right Mrs. Corey, it was delicious." Lee said. "From the looks of Mark and Shawn, we might be skipping lunch."

"I thought we were going too the Austrian Tea House at the Von Trapp Lodge for lunch?" Shawn said, stopping for a moment with a fork full of egg half way between his mouth and plate.

"Nothing like being a youngster mother." Elwin Corey said as he walked into the kitchen. "He sounds just like Dirk and Derek doesn't he?"

"They are the same. I never saw two boys who could eat so much and not get fat. Derek would eat a dozen scones if I put them in front of him."

"They are still growing, they take after their father." Elwin said while pouring himself a cup of coffee.

"When do you expect them Elwin?" Lee said, sitting his glass down.

"They should be here anytime but the boys won't stop in the house unless they haven't eaten. Derek said they were going to run the mowers today." Elwin said.

"They will stop in Elwin. I told them Mr. Michaels would be here today. Did you get the furnace thermostat re-set?"

" Yes, it should be getting warmer anytime now, I set it at 68, that should be warm enough. I didn't know you had told the boys they would be here Celia. Do you think you might be able to keep them on Mr. Michaels?"

"Lee, Elwin. . . . .we don't need to be calling each other Mr. or Mrs. all of the time. I don't see why they shouldn't stay since you and Celia will be with us another year. You will need help with the winter coming on and I'd like for you to hire some young lady to assist Celia with the house since we are adding the evening dinner buffet. That's a lot of work for her alone. You said you wanted to discuss the buffet and I need some information on the barn."

Mark, Shawn and I had finished eating while Lee was talking with Elwin and Shawn. The kitchen was becoming warmer and they stood up stretching a little.

"Uncle Lee, if you and Mr. Corey will excuse us Shawn and I are going to take a little walk around, would you like too join us Kev?"

"I should think you both are about to burst." Lee said. "Go ahead, there are a couple of other things we need to discuss and you guys need to think about what you want to do today."

"After that breakfast, I could use a workout. How about you Kev, wanna walk with us?" Shawn said.

"That sounds good too me Mark, a short walk would be good while your uncle is busy. We better get our jackets out of the truck, it's still cool outside. I want to brush my teeth before we leave. "

"Me too and then I'll get the jackets. I'd like to check the barn out that Lee mentioned. Where is it?" Shawn said.

"Just follow the road back of the house, you can't miss it. That's where the boys keep the mowers and rakes." Elwin said over his shoulder.

Mark walked up the stairs ahead of Shawn and I, going too our rooms. At the top he turned too us before going to his room. "I'm going to put on a sweater, don't you guys have one with you?"

"We have sweat shirts don't we Kev? I'd kind of like wearing one instead of a jacket." Shawn said.

"Sure, we can wear them under our shirts. "

"I'll see you downstairs when you're ready." Mark said opening the door to his room.

The room was warmer then it was when we woke up and felt good when we took off our shirts. Shawn's chest and back muscles rippled as he did waist twists and stretched his arms over his head. I felt a little stiff myself and remembered what Shawn had said earlier about a workout after breakfast.

"A workout would be nice wouldn't it? I'm starting to feel a little stiff myself."

"We haven't since we were in the motel or at least you haven't. I did with Mark while you were in the hot tub with Erik." Shawn mumbled, his mouth full of toothpaste.

"Yeah, Erik. I hope Mark hasn't said anything about that, do you think he has?"

"He hasn't if what he told us on the boat is true Kev. Remember he said something about them having an understanding or something like that, they never discuss those things."

"I guess that is why they get along so well together." I said thinking about Mark and Shawn together. Paul had made a lot of sense that evening and I could see what he had said was right. You could see the easiness between Lee and Mark, no conflicts.

"Kev, you're thinking again. What's bothering you?" Shawn said coming out of the bathroom rubbing his face and chest with his towel.

"Nothing. I was just thinking about what Mark had said and some of the things Paul had said. They make a lot of sense when you think about it. Jealousy and the lack of trust is what ruin a lot of relationships. " I said, starting to walk too the bathroom.

Shawn reached around me as I started to pass pulling me close against his bare chest. His arm flexed feeling like steel as he held me, his eyes soft.

"I hope we don't stop being just a little jealous Kev. It always helps to be a little jealous as long as it doesn't become an obsession. " He said softly his lips covering mine.

I put my arms around his neck and run my tongue in his sweet mouth tasting the mint flavored Gleem and he squeezed me tighter.

"I think we are learning a little more about each other everyday we are together Shawn." I said as we broke the kiss.

"You feel that too?" He said, his eyes looking deep into mine.

His chest felt like hot steel against my bare flesh. We both were relaxed and I didn't feel any passion, just the soft flow of electricity between us.

"I feel it every time you hold me or when we look at each other. " I whispered brushing my lips over his and pulling my arms from around his neck.

I brushed my teeth while Shawn got our sweatshirts out of the bags. Putting them on and then our shirts we kissed softly again and went downstairs. Mark was waiting on the side porch with Lee when we got there. They looked at each other and I saw the slight smile on their faces and a sort of knowing glance. "You guys ready?" Mark said.

"I should be finished by the time you get back and then, if you want, we can drive up too the Von Trapp's." Lee said. "We'll use the SUV if you don't mind, the Mustang is a little tight for the four of us."

"And it will be easier on the hills too. If I remember, there is a pretty steep one on the way up too the Lodge. We don't have to go there you know. I just thought Shawn would like seeing it." I said

"No one visits Stowe and not visit the Von Trapp Lodge Kev. You guys have a nice walk."

It was still a little misty and damp outside, and Mark and Shawn were turning the corner of the house when I got on the porch.

"Hey, wait up." I called out and they stopped standing in the gravel drive that ran up alongside the house.

"Still a little damp but the sun hasn't burned off the mist yet. It should warm up as soon as it does." Mark said.

"Yeah, a lot like down home." Shawn said agreeing with Mark. "The mornings are just about always cool and misty. I liked standing on the porch of the house and watch it drifting in the hollows. That was where we always found the cows all soaking and wet. My gramps said the mist was like a blanket and kept the cattle warm at night."

"He was probably closer to being right then he knew. The heat of their bodies would liquefy the mist and it would be something like a thermal blanket keeping them warm." Mark said

"That's a pretty good analogy Mark. The morning mists are caused by the warm radiated by the earth coming into contact with cooler precipitation laden air currents. Not enough moisture for rain but enough for mists, especially in the warmer valleys or hollows as Shawn calls them."

"That's all we ever called them down in Kentucky Kev."

"Kentucky Shawn, what part?" Mark asked.

" A small town not that far from Lexington. My dad sharecrops. This hill is a little steeper them Mr.Corey said isn't it?"

I noticed Shawn change the subject and Mark looked at me questioningly. I shook my head saying,

"The barn is probably over the crest. Most farmers built the barns away from their homes on a down slope. I wonder what your uncle needs information about the barn for? " I said

"He said something about converting it into condo's. Mr. Corey is supposed to have the plans for when it was built. "

"They built a big one." Shawn said as we reached the top of the hill. "It looks like a milk barn, they must have had milk cows here at one time."

"That wouldn't surprise me Shawn. Vermont is an agricultural, dairy state. Gee, it is pretty big isn't it?" Mark said as we walked towards the building.

"You could put the one we had inside and have room left over from the look of it, it's a two decker. " Shawn said quickening his pace a little.

"A two decker?" Mark said looking at me and I just shrugged my shoulders.

"He's the farm boy not me Mark but I think he means two floors. I guess that is unusual in barns." The barn was two floored but only at the ends of the building. Both ends were for hay storage and there was a walkway built between the haylofts over the yokes where the milking was done. The hay could be dropped down from the walkway. There were two double doors at each end with smaller doors up in the eves of the building. Smaller access doors had been built into the larger doors so you could go inside without opening the large ones.

Mr. Corey was right, there was a collection of tractors with side mowers, a couple of hay rakes and smaller Cub mowers, probably for around flowerbeds and trees.

Shawn disappeared in the cavernous interior of the barn leaving Mark and I alone.

"You can take the boy out of the country but you can't take the country out of the boy Mark."

"And that is one of the reasons you love him Kev although I wouldn't call Shawn a boy and you tell on yourself every time you look at him. He has an unassuming innocence, nothing complicated about him. Did I say something wrong a few minutes ago?"

"Not really. He is a little sensitive about his family being poor. His dad scratches out a living, he says, being a sharecropper and having to depend on someone else. He doesn't intend on being a farmer after he graduates."

"Why didn't he get in a school closer then Boston since he lives in Kentucky?"

"Because B/U offered him a full scholarship. He wanted to go too Louisville or Kentucky but they only offered him a partial. His parents couldn't afford that. We've had a couple of conversations about it but he gets a little defensive about money Mark. We can afford any school we want but Shawn won't consider that. He thinks its like taking charity and using my money would be charity or so he thinks."

"I'm not sure I follow that line of thinking Kev." "That's because you and I didn't have to live like sharecroppers Mark. When someone has drive and ambition, which Shawn has, being poor helps some people develop an independent streak."

"Now you sound just like Uncle Lee. He would say the same thing. Where did Shawn get too?"

"He's up in that far loft. Shawn, come on down from there." I called out.

"I'm coming." He answered scurrying down a ladder.

"This place is bigger than some of our tobacco curing barns back home. Boy you could hang a ton of it in something this big." He said his eyes gleaming, his chest heaving with excitement.

"I'm not sure that Vermont has any tobacco farms Shawn. If you guys are ready lets get on back too the house. We'll probably want to change before we go for lunch, I know Uncle Lee will."

The mists had melted away and the sun was shining brightly. The groves of white birch, pine and maple trees that surrounded the property were thick with a hint of changing color. Trees changed their color quicker in the northern states.

There was a Toyota or Isuzu Pup pickup parked next too the side entrance of the house.
