Started at the Bus Stop Chapter 24
As they walked to school on the Monday morning, Percy told William and Juliet, "There's something up with my dad. He's just ignoring both Mum and me. I've heard some strong talk from them at times, and I know Mum is upset about something. They're not telling me anything."
"Maybe he's having a hard time at work and it's doing his head in," Juliet said.
"Or maybe he's just being a selfish arsehole," Percy said.
"No, look how he sorted out the movie night for you. There's got to be something else that's changed him," William said.
"Try and be patient with him and see if he comes right in time," Juliet suggested.
They fell into a period of silence until they got to the spot where William had checked that Percy was going to school commando on Friday, Juliet gently pushed Percy into the corner and quickly undid his fly. As she pushed her hand into his trousers she said, "I just wanted to see if you were going commando again."
"William told me I had to go commando on Saturday and he hasn't given me permission to wear anything yet, so you can tell him what you've found out," Percy said as his cock started to stiffen up from Juliet's stroking.
"I only meant for you to free-ball on Saturday. I hadn't thought of having to tell you it was okay to wear undies again. But then I like the idea of knowing you're walking around school swinging loosely behind those trousers," William said with a grin.
William then got Juliet to pull her hand out and he pushed his hand in to give his boyfriend a few hardening strokes as well. The two siblings then continued to shield Percy as he got his trousers done up safely.
"You're going to have to wear boxers tomorrow, as we have PE and you'll have to change," William told him.
"You mean you don't want me to risk it?" Percy asked sarcastically.
"I would expect Bryan or some of the others like him might see, and they'd make your life hell again," William said.
"Yeah, that's true. Thank you."
"And you'd better not let that happen to Percy, or you'll have me and Clive and maybe even Dad to answer to," Juliet said.
"Shit! Talk about being ganged up on," William said.
"If you want a gang, I'll see what I can do," Juliet threatened.
"Ooh, my sister's offering to organise a gang bang for me," William responded.
"Not a gang bang. But maybe a chain gang. They can all line up and lick my pussy till I'm dripping."
"I feel sorry for any boyfriend you get. He'll end up with callouses on his tongue," William countered.
On Tuesday Percy was glad that he was wearing his underwear, because when they moved into the change room to get ready for their PE class Bryan chose a spot next to him. Percy had taken his shirt and tie off and lowered his trousers to his knees before sitting down on the bench to take his shoes off and then slip his trousers the rest of the way off. If he had been going commando this would have been very obvious, even to a casual observer.
"Well, if it isn't the friend stealer," Bryan said. It appeared that he was aiming for a fight. Percy tried to just ignore him and continued getting his shoes off. "Hey, Cockpit, I'm talking to you. At least you can be polite enough to acknowledge that."
William, who was on the other side of Percy, turned and stared daggers at Bryan. "You leave Percy alone. It's not him who's stolen friends. You deserted your friends because you couldn't handle them knowing the truth about you."
"You see! A couple of months ago you would have stood with me as a friend and dealt with this queer as he should be. Now you're taking his side."
"Bryan, shut the fuck up. William's right. It's you who has separated from us." Nicky stepped into the fight. "Don't forget that you did something to get that tat and then you allowed it to get talked about. And until today none of us have mentioned it once, yet you've carried on being shit towards Percy. Just as you have been since you first met him. Think of how long he's known that about you and never once said a word despite how many times you've called him names and cast aspersions on his character. Now lay off Percy, or the whole school will hear about it."
"You want a fight, Bryan. You'll get it, but you can't win it," Barrie said as he joined the group. "We've tried being reasonable with you, but you're as stubborn as a mule. And the one person you're harming the most is yourself."
"Fuck off, all of you. And you, gay boy, better hope I don't see you on your own," Bryan said and stormed out of the change room into the gymnasium.
"Fuck! I want to slap him so hard!" William said.
"What good would that do? It'll only make your hand sting and him hurt for a bit; it won't change him. Just leave him be. One day he might wake up to reality and see what an arsehole he is," Percy said.
Throughout their gym period, Bryan made a point of bumping into Percy and trying to hurt him as they did whatever the activity was at the time. Finally their PE teacher, Fred Wilson, noticed and called him up on it.
"Sanderson, get over here," he ordered. Bryan walked over to the teacher until he was about four feet away when the teacher stopped him. "Are you high on something?"
"What do you mean, sir?" Bryan asked.
"Well you can't seem to control your body when you get close to Nisbett. So, are you under the influence of drugs, alcohol or sex?" Wilson asked.
"I don't understand what you mean, sir."
"Every time you get close to Nisbett you do something that makes you bump into him and then you punch or hit him. So, either you're gay and in love with him, but he's rejected you and you're trying to get him back, or you are under the influence of some drug or other that makes you aim for Nisbett. Now which is it?"
"No, sir. It's Nisbett who's the queer. I'm just making sure he knows not to hit on me."
"From my observations, it appears to be you who are hitting on him. Nisbett get over here." As Percy started to move towards the teacher, Bryan started to turn and move away. "Stay where you are, Sanderson. I didn't say you could go." Percy stopped about four feet away from the teacher and also made sure he was more than an arm-swing away from Bryan. "So, Nisbett, give me an honest answer now. If you were gay, do you think you'd like to try and hit on Sanderson?"
"I don't think so, sir. He doesn't seem to like people very much."
"Thank you, Nisbett. You can go back to your place. There you are, Sanderson. You are in no danger of him hitting on you even if he did turn out to be gay. Now leave the guy alone and concentrate on what you're supposed to be doing. If I have to pull you up on something like this again, believe me, you'll be doing more than one detention. Fancy cleaning the school toilets? You're being a shit to others, so that's what I'll recommend for your detention. Now get back to your place and behave yourself."
As Bryan walked back to his place in the group he looked at Percy and the hate he felt towards him could clearly be seen in his face. When they were getting changed after the lesson, his expression got even worse and when Percy sat down on the bench to pull his socks and shoes on Bryan put his hands onto Percy's shoulders, pulled his head down, and brought his knee up into Percy's face. "Now you won't look so pretty for your boyfriend!" Bryan spat out.
He didn't get a chance to try anything more; William, Nicky and Barrie all grabbed him and pulled him away. As soon as William realised that Nicky and Barrie were holding Bryan away, he turned his attention to Percy, who had blood streaming from his nose and tears running down his cheeks from the pain. William took one look at Percy and was pretty sure from the shape of it that his nose was broken. He grabbed the vest that he had worn for PE and offered it to Percy to use to hold against his nose to try and control the bleeding. "Somebody get Wilson, please," William called out and tried to get Percy to lie down on the bench.
Inky took off at a run and soon arrived back with the teacher. Wilson took one look at Percy's face and knew that it needed more than his first aid kit could cope with. "Freeman, run, and I mean run, to the office and ask them to call for an ambulance. Tell them we have a patient with a broken nose and possibly some other facial damage. Then ask them to get the Head or Deputy Head to come here."
"Yes, sir!" Inky responded and took off out of the change rooms. He was fortunate that he had dallied with his changing and he still had his trainers and gym shorts on. Arriving in the office dressed like that got the receptionist's immediate attention, and when he asked her to call for an ambulance one of the secretaries called through to the headteacher's office and suggested he might want to come out as there was a call being made for an ambulance. The head teacher, Ian Magohan, didn't wait to ask any questions and appeared in the reception office seconds later. He listened to what Inky had to say and told the receptionist to direct the ambulance to the gymnasium as soon as it arrived. He collected a camera from his office and walked with Inky back to the change rooms. When he got there, he saw Wilson supporting Percy, who was still sitting and holding the blood-soaked vest in front of his face. All the other boys were standing around, now fully dressed. Martyn and Gregory Mitchell, the captain of the school's 1st XV team, were standing either side of Bryan. They weren't holding onto him, but they were ready to grab him if he tried to make a run for it. While asking questions as he investigated what had happened, Magohan was taking photographs of Percy from several angles.
Once he had got all the information he thought he could get at the time, he ordered the rest of the class to move on to their next class. "Mitchell, please explain to your teacher that there's been an issue which has delayed you all. He or she can talk to me about it later. Sanderson, you'll stay here and wait until I've made a decision about you. Chesterton, get that blood cleaned off your hands, then go back to the office and ask the reception to call one or both of Nisbett's parents and ask them to come to the school."
"Sir, I can call Percy's mother now with my mobile if you'd prefer," William offered.
"Yes, call her and then let me speak to her. I guess that means you are a friend of Nisbett's?"
"Yes, sir. We're good friends," William replied as he dug in his bag for his phone. He called up the number and tapped the call button. It didn't take long before he got an answer. "Hi, Grace. Sorry to disturb you at work. Our head teacher wants to speak to you." He then passed the phone over to Magohan, who gave Grace a brief account of what had happened, then asked if she or her husband would be able to come to the school. After listening for a few moments he assured her that if the ambulance crew wanted to take Percy to hospital before she got there, he would phone and let her know.
As it was, Grace got to the school before the ambulance and was in the office getting directions when the ambulance arrived. One of the secretaries offered to show both Grace and the ambulance the way. Grace walked with the secretary while the ambulance followed on its longer route. Magohan had allowed William to stay with Percy once he found out they were good friends, because he knew this would help to comfort him. When they heard the ambulance pull up, William went out to meet them and show them in. As he stepped out the door he saw Grace walking quickly up.
William moved towards Grace, who pulled him into a hug. "I should have guessed you'd be looking after him. Thank you," Grace whispered into his ear.
"Come on. He's in here," William said and led the way with the ambulance men following behind them. The secretary turned and headed back to the office.
Once inside the ambulance crew took over, and the Head Teacher began to speak to Grace quietly. As he spoke he pointed to Bryan and told Grace he was the attacker. Grace looked at Bryan, who was now looking frightened and worried. She felt no pity for him. He was the one who had hurt her Percy. It didn't take the crew long to decide what needed to be done. They turned to Grace and the head and explained, "He doesn't appear to be too badly hurt, but he needs to go to hospital to be checked and for them to set his nose. We don't want it staying crooked like it is now. We don't think there is any other damage to his face apart from some bruising. That might make his eyes swell closed for a short while, but they can do a scan and check that out at the hospital. Will you ride with him in the ambulance?"
Grace turned to the head and asked, "Will my car be safe in the car park until I can arrange to come and fetch it?"
"Or I could ride with him and you could follow in your car," William offered quickly before the head could answer Grace's question.
"I'm sure your car will be safe, but if you want to take Mr. Chesterton's offer I'm sure I can excuse him for the rest of the day," Magohan said.
"It will be easier to have my car at the hospital, so I can fetch him home when Percy is released. Are you sure you don't mind riding with Percy, William?"
"I'd rather do that and know how things are going than sit in a class worrying about him," William said.
"Yes, I thought that might be the case. You'd not take much in, would you, Chesterton?"
"No, sir, I don't think so. Thank you."
"Good. Do you need to get your school bags? I'm sure the ambulance can wait a couple of minutes while you do," Magohan asked.
"Our bags are here. I just need to stuff our clothes into them," William said. He quickly began to pack Percy's bag and then his own. As he picked up his bloody vest he looked a bit confused.
"Is that yours, William?" Grace asked.
"Yes, I didn't have anything else to use."
"Give it to me and I'll get it replaced. I doubt you'll ever wash all that out of it," Grace said. "I'm sure the hospital will let me dispose of it there."
"Actually, we can take care of that for you. We have a medical waste bag that it can be put in," one of the paramedics said as he held out his hand to take the vest.
"Thank you," William passed it over and went to the sink to wash his hands again.
They got Percy loaded into the ambulance in front of many eyes peering out of classroom windows. The students had seen the ambulance arrive, and no matter what their teachers said they couldn't stop themselves from looking. Grace gave William a hug as he stepped up into the ambulance and thanked him again. Then she set off at a brisk walk to get back to her car. Magohan walked beside her, filling her in on what the school might do and what he believed their options might be. Sanderson followed a little behind them. He had been instructed to go to the Head's office and wait.
After Magohan had seen Grace on her way to the hospital, he went back into his office. As he got level with Bryan, who was sitting in a chair outside the office, Magohan stopped. "Stand up, Sanderson. I didn't say you could sit down. Now wait here until I call you in." With that he turned and entered his office.
A few minutes later Fred Wilson arrived, looked disapprovingly at Bryan and knocked on the Head's door. Bryan had to wait a while longer before the Deputy Head opened the door and told Bryan to enter. Bryan was told to stand on the carpet in front of Magohan's desk. The Deputy Head stood to one side of Magohan with Fred Wilson the other side. Magohan was the only one sitting. Looking up at Bryan he asked, "Do you want to explain what happened back there?"
"Nisbett is a queer, and he's split my friends from me with his lies. And today they ganged up against me, and I felt I had to show him that he's wrong," Bryan said.
"What lies has he told that made your friends drop you?" Magohan asked.
Bryan began to make up a story about what Percy had allegedly said about him and how he was queer and was trying to turn the others queer too. Magohan gave him some time to talk and then held up his hand to stop him.
"I don't think that what you've told me is entirely truthful. And even if it is, it isn't reasonable grounds for assaulting Nisbett. I'm afraid I'm going to have to suspend you from school pending the completion of our investigation into this matter. Depending on what the Nisbetts decide to do and what our investigation concludes, you may be allowed to return to school, or you may be excluded. Your parents have been contacted and will be advised of this decision as soon as they arrive to pick you up. Do you have any kit that you need to collect?"
The Head asked Wilson to accompany Bryan as he went to get his kit and then bring him back to wait at the office. He was not going to let Bryan have a chance to go AWOL while his parents were on their way to the school.
