I promise, and I promise some more that I will update my other stories, but sometimes I just.. fall out of that mood, you know? Some of my past stories were written along with segments in my life. Perhaps this will be one of them. This is more or less a side project that I stumbled upon. I was inspired by looking out the window. That's all it took.
I've been down lately, even though I won't really admit it to anyone, I've just been really down. Depressed? Yeah, probably. That's probably 1/2 the inspiration for this all. I'm not saying that I will be ending my previous stories, I'm just saying that I'm almost done with the sabatical that I am taking from them. They will all be worked on and finished eventually. Please don't get mad at me about it. Hell, I hate myself for not having the nerve to finish them just yet. But um... hey.. I'm trying.

I'm finally posting this for my most awesome chica - Raa! Lance is my adonis. If I can't have him, no other girl can. Therefore, I will him to be homosexual. Well.. in my dreams atleast. I'd also like to give a shout out to some cool people I got to know through writing: Linc, Trey, Adam, Scott & Paul On with the story. Sorry for rambling.
Disclaimer - This story is filled with sin and fornication. Oh, my! If you're religion does not allow you to read such literature, don't read this. You probably wouldn't like it anyway. If homosexual themes offend you, don't read this, but you may want to just get out of this part of Nifty. I don't know N Sync, (although I wish I did) and I don't know if they're gay or not. Fiction, people. F-I-C-T-I-O-N. I made it up. This is an AU - Alternative Universe fic WARNING: It's an angsty piece and will have, if not in this chapter, then in others, physical and mental abuse.I know that is a hard subject to read about for some of you, (ie. I can't read stories about hospital/cancer angst because it touches too close to home) so, if you are bothered by that, please don't read this. Pairing: Lance/haha, I don't like to reveal that.
Chapter 1
Lance Bass wrapped his arms around himself, and pulled his legs in where he sat on the gravel driveway. The wind whispered softly in his ears, and in the distance, he could hear a dog barking. Dust and the occasional piece of trash flew by. An older model pickup drove by, muffler louder than any other sound. It was almost peaceful.
"Lance! Get in the house!" Diane Bass screamed through the screen door.
"Yes, mom..." He picked up his hat, and headed into the trailer. "What do you want?"
"Chris is on the phone for you!" She shoved the phone into his hand, and walked away.
"Oh..." He held it up to his ear. "Hello?"
"Hey, Lance! Are you busy? Didn't think so! Wanna come with me? I'm gonna go to the pool hall and see if I can make some cash!" Chris Kirkpatrick screeched into the phone.
"I don't really want to go..."
"C'mon, Lance! I don't wanna go alone! Please? Just this one more time?"
Lance sighed, and peered through the orange-flowered curtains that hung pathetically in front of the small kitchen window. "It looks like it's gonna storm."
"It won't until we get back. Nothin to worry bout!"
Lance felt something hit him sharply in the back. He looked down to find his dad's steel-toed work boot settling on the brown shag. "Get me a damn beer, son!" He yelled from his dirty recliner in the living room.
"Okay, Dad!" He yelled back. Cocking his head to hold the phone in place, he kicked open the fridge and grabbed a Miller for his dad. "Chris, why don't you just come meet me over here?"
"Okay, but be ready!" Lance hung up when he heard the immediate dial tone. He trudged down the hallway, towards the smell of a fresh cigarette.
"Here, Dad." His dad snatched it away, and in an annoyed voice replied angrily, "Took you damn long enough, boy!"
"I'm sorry, I-"
"No, you're not, so shut up!" He threw the March issue of 'Guns and Ammo' at his son's head. "Get the hell out of the way, you dumbfuck! I'm tryin to watch TV!"
Lance quickly moved back into the kitchen, and started to help his mom out with the dishes. It took her a moment to notice him. "Lance! I don't need your help. You always drop the damn things anyway. Go outside and do somethin."
He wiped his hands off on the towel, and put the last dish he had away. "Hey, Momma?"
"Yeah?"
"Can I have five dollars? Chris and I was gonna go down to the pool hall and play a few games. Please?"
She gave an exhausted sigh, and then turned to face him. "If I give you another five like last time, you ain't gonna buy no smokes or pot, right?"
"No, Momma. I told you that stuff wasn't mine!"
Her eyes stared straight into his. "But the cigarettes were."
"I know..." He looked away.
"Don't be smokin none. You'll turn out just like yer father. Bad lung and all."
"Okay, I promise, Ma."
"Good, now, go get mah billfold, and get yerself out a fiver."
"Thank you!" Lance went into his parents bedroom, and found his Mother's gold and brown billfold. He took just the five out this time and then put it back. Shoving it down into the back pocket of his Wranglers, he headed out the door.
The wind had picked up a little, but nothing significant enough to worry about. He kicked some rocks around till he saw Chris walking up the street.
"Hey, man!" The shorter, dark-haired man yelled, and then ran to meet up with him.
"Hey, Chris. How'd you call me this time? I know you don't have a phone."
"I was at A.J's, man! We were watchin his bootleg of this old porno his dad had. It was really sick, dude. There was, like, a prostitute, and she was bendin her legs all fucked. Fuckin sick shit on that tape. I've GOT to get a copy!"
"Sounds interesting. Let's go."
"Yeah." They both turned and started walking in the direction of Frank's Pool and Bar.
"Anyway, I got this hot chick lined up for me for the weekend. Her name's Dani and she's got some big tits! She's got this friend named Mandy. The girls a little younger, but doesn't matter as long as she's a good fuck, right?"
"Sure, Chris."
"Oh, dude, there is this AWESOME party tomorrow! You're going! You have no choice!"
"Who's throwing it?"
"A.J, duh!"
"Oh, great.. I just love A.J's parties. Everyone gets drunk, stoned, and laid."
"Um, Lance? I'm not seein the downside."
"Nevermind. Doesn't matter. Let's just go play some pool." The two quietly entered the building. Loud talking could barely be heard over the scream of Whitesnake coming from the jukebox in the corner.
"Hey, Howie." Chris said, giving his old friend a slap on the back. They slid into a manly hug, and then quickly separated.
"What're you doing here, little man?" Howie asked.
"No room to talk, dude!"
They both enjoyed a laugh, and then got down to business. "So, come here to win some cash again?"
"Maybe. Gotta feed my sisters, you know how that goes."
"Alright, step right up!" Howie gestured to the shiny chrome and blue felt. Chris stepped up to the table's platform, and then turned to look back at his friend.
"Hey, Lance, I'm gonna play this round, you wanna play next?"
"Um, no, actually. I think I'm gonna go next door and get something to eat."
"Okay, but be back in 20!" Chris turned back to Howie. "Ready to be Kirkpatrinated?"
Lance closed the door behind him as he walked into the diner next door to Frank's Pool and Bar. A pretty girl looked up from sweeping the floor. "Lance!" She shrieked excitedly, and then ran to give him a hug. "Hey, Janine. Is Joey around?" He asked, giving her a big hug. "Oh, him... He's in the back sorting cans. Go on back. Don't think dad'll mind." "Thanks!" He called as he walked through the storage doors. "Hey, Joe. Stock today?" "Yeah, it's a major drag. I fuckin hate it. Dad's an ass. Blah blah blah, son, blah blah blah, stock, blah blah blah, grounded. You know how that is." Lance thought of his dad's approach to him doing something. Fist in face. Kick against body. Nope. He really didn't know how that was, but he nodded anyway. "So... When you're done, can you go out for a bit?" "Maybe. Lemme go ask." Lance waited patiently as the taller, dark haired Italian looking teen went into the kitchen. Just as soon as he was gone, he was back. "Dad said it was okay. I've got, like, a box left. Go to the front and get a milkshake to go or something, and I'll be done. On the house." "As usual." Lance added with a smile, and went to the front counter. "Chocolate. Extra fluffy, please." Janine winked at him, and went to fix it up. Joey came out just as Janine was putting the lid on the large shake. "Ready to go?" "Yeah, where to?" Lance asked once they were out the front door. "The usual?" "Okay..." He sighed, and looked to the pavement. "What's wrong?" Joey asked, the concern showing in his eyes. "If you don't wanna do it, then that's okay." "No, it's alright, I want to." "Alright.."Three minutes later, they were in the abandoned boxcar by the tracks, both undressing. Neither of them knew why they had sex anymore. It started out that Joey was always horny, and bisexual, so anything went with him. Lance was in the closet for obvious reasons, and would take any opportunity he got. Sure, Joey did care for Lance some, but they could never bring themselves to date each other. It was kind of like, friends with benefits.
Lance felt cold hands touch his sides, and he shivered. "Are those new?" Joey's hot breath ran down his spine.
"Um, sort of... Three days ago."
"Lance, it's not normal for parents to do that to their kids."
He immediately snapped onto the defensive. "Didn't you ever get spanked as a child!?"
"Yes, but Lance, I wasn't beaten. Just a little slap on my but till I was about five and could understand right from wrong."
"Maybe if you grew up where I lived, then things would be a little different for you!"
"You're right, Lance." Joey whispered in a soothing voice as he rubbed the soft skin on Lance's back. "But it doesn't matter. It's wrong. They shouldn't do that to you and hurt your beautiful skin." He started to kiss Lance's neck.
"Joey, you don't have to butter me up before we fuck. It's just a fuck. You don't love me, and I don't love you. It's just sex."
"Lance, what is wrong with you today?"
"Nothing." He sighed. "I'm just tired of you making this out to be something it's not."
"Lance, I do care about you." Joey spun him around so he could look him in the eyes. "I love you as a friend. Yeah, yeah, this is just sex, but we do have a friendship going on too. And um..." He started to blush.
"What...?"
"I do think you're beautiful, anyway. I've never seen such a pretty boy."
"I feel like that was an insult."
"It wasn't, I swear!" Lance smiled, slid his hands up behind Joey's head and pulled him in for a kiss.
"Okay." He let go, and led Joey to the side of the car. Putting his hands flat on the wall, he stuck his butt out; just the way Joey liked to do it. Joey was a talker during sex, so he waited for speech before action.
"Mmm.. You like it when I fuck you hard, you hot piece of ass?"
'Let the games begin.' Lance thought to himself.
15 minutes, and two orgasms later, the two were laying on the floor of the boxcar, smoking Marlboro reds. "Was that good for you?" Joey asked, running his fingertips along Lance's thigh, causing chills. "Very nice as always." "When are you supposed to meet back up with Chris?" "As of... " He looked at his watch. "Now?" "Okay, well, get dressed, and we'll head back." Joey said, putting the cigarette out on the old, metal door. They dressed in almost absolute quiet. "Lance, I do care." Joey whispered as Lance was just putting on the last thing, his left tennis shoe. "I know." "Don't let him hurt you anymore, okay? For me?" "I'll try, but you don't know how my dad is. And my mom, well, she's no help.." "I understand. Let's get back, huh? Looks like a storms coming." "Yeah, it does." The two quickly walked back to main street, and then went their separate ways. Lance walked back into the pool hall alone. "Hey, Chris, you done? I wanna go back home. The weathers getting worse." "Oh, hey, Lance. Um, why don't you go ahead? I'm on a roll." "We weren't going to do anything after we came here, were we?" "No, I hadn't planned nothin." "Okay, well, I'm going home them. Bye." "Bye!" Chris and Howie chorused. Lance began his walk home.Because I'm me, I listen to music for certain parts. It gets me more inspired to write a scene. So, at the end of each chapter, I will have a little part where I put the songs. I figure, 'hey, if this became a movie (doubt that'll ever happen) they could always play these songs with the parts!' I live in a dream world, folks. I really do.
