Sunbeam seems to be in a state of confusion, "He's your enemy...he's your enemy. Why are..."
His voices fades into the background as I hold onto Vigor. I can't think right now. I don't even have the time to be angry. Right now I'm sitting here holding the love of my life. The worst part of it all was I never actually told him I loved him. He told me. He told me he loved me and I just assumed I'd have enough time later to let him know.
Later was now.
It was too late.
I look down at his forehead as the blood comes out. He has no pulse. He's completely not breathing. All the dreams that I had of how Vigor and I would live our future were completely gone now.
My world was ended.
It's strange when you find love and you find hope. It's strange when someone who is supposedly the worst person in the world ends up to be the best person to you. Maybe that's why I'm crying now. Maybe that's why the tears are swelling up in my eyes. I hadn't expected to fall for Vicious Vigor and when I did I realized I would do anything to keep him.
This was true love.
"Cameron," Sunbeam states.
He touches my shoulder softly. I jerk away from him as hard as I can, "Get off me."
"I'm just trying to help," he says.
I look at Sunbeam. Never in my life have I looked at him as hard as I can now. I realize at that moment that all the love I felt for him in the past wasn't really love at all. I was infatuated with something that I thought was unobtainable. The same infatuation was how it started with Vigor except with Vigor he showed me that he loved me. We were going to be villains together. We were going to live raise hell together.
I couldn't wait for any part of it.
Tears fill up my eyes and I just turn to my left to see Mind Meld. He's sitting there still. He is staring at me with his blank stare. I can't blame Sunbeam for what he did. Mind Meld was the one who caused this. He was the one who made Sunbeam confused in the first place. He had control of Sunbeam, but his spell was broken. Even Mind Meld had a limit.
I let my head sit up against the wall. Sunbeam is staring down at me looking for an explanation. It's one that he doesn't get. It's one that I probably won't have the time to give him for a while. The shock won't go away anytime soon. I let him stare at me.
I drift off into thoughts of whether or not I should stop Mind Meld. What was the point now? What was the point in anything with Vigor gone?
For the first time I realize how true villains come to be born. They come to around when people just...just, stop giving a fuck. I drag Vigor's body to the wall and I'm not concerned about the blood. All I can think about is what wondering what the point of it is.
What's the point of saving the world when your world ended?
"Why the fuck are you holding that guy?" a voice says, "Is there something you want to tell me about?"
My imagination is playing tricks on me. I can hear the voice so clear as day.
I close my eyes to the darkness.
That's when I feel someone. Someone touching my arm at that moment. I open my eyes and I realize that I'm not imagining it at all.
Vicious Vigor is staring down at me.
"Baby..." his voice says.
Sunbeam is back on his feet a little on edge and the look in his eyes lets me know that he can see what I see. Vicious Vigor has just descended the steps and put his hands on my fucking shoulder. My mouth drops open. I look down at the the person I'm holding in my arms.
It's not Vicious.
It's Philip Leaf.
"Oh my god..."
"You left me before the heroes healed me," Vicious said, "You just disappeared."
I look down at Philip's body. I look up at Vicious Vigor. Sunbeam was staring across the room.
A huge feeling of relief comes over me as I jump in Vigor's arms. He swings me showing me how powerful he is. He isn't afraid to show me his strength. He isn't afraid to show me the fact that he no longer has the DAMS virus in him anymore. Cleanse has healed him.
"I can't believe you're alive."
"Please tell me you're not crying now. Villains don't cry," Vigor tells me.
"I know, I know..." I say attempting to stop.
The tears are coming down. They aren't the same tears as before though. They are happy tears. Even as I try to stop crying it doesn't work. The only thing that stifles them is Vigor dragging his finger across my cheek and wiping my tears. Then at that moment he leans over and he kisses me. His mouth wraps around mine. I can feel my heart racing as it happens. I never thought I'd feel those lips again. I never thought I'd have him forcefully kiss me in the only way that he can.
Vicious Vigor is in my arms and Sunbeam is staring at us from across the room.
Sunbeam is smiling at me with a knowing glare.
Then it hits me, "You KNEW!"
I want to strangle Sunbeam as he starts laughing at that moment.
"Even after I broke Mind Meld's mind control I was still able to retain memories," Sunbeam lets me know, "I saw Philip Leaf change into Vicious Vigor. I knew he planned on stopping each of you by pretending to be the other."
"You thought he killed me?" Vigor asks.
He looks Sunbeam up and down. He's sizing him up. I have no doubt at it. Vicious was definitely back in full force and he with one look he's telling Sunbeam that there was no way in hell that Sunbeam would have been able to kill the real Vicious Vigor.
"I had to protect your him," Sunbeam responds taking a few steps back, "I love him..."
Sunbeam saying that again lets me know that it wasn't a mistake when he told me that the first time. Hearing it again seems like I'm receiving a gift that I already bought for myself. That's the only way to describe it. You are thankful you got the gift. You are thankful that the person who gave it to you cared enough because this was something that you wanted for so long. But you already have that item. You already own it and there is no room for another.
Return to sender.
Vigor stares him down and the look that he gives Sunbeam is enough to make any man feel take a double take on their confidence. He approaches Sunbeam and I swear for a moment I watch the spit gulp down Sunbeam's throat as Vigor's muscles flex.
Vigor is in Sunbeam's face in a matter of seconds. I wonder if a fight is going to break out at that moment. I wonder how the fuck I will be able to stop Vicious Vigor from staring Sunbeam down.
"He's mine," Vigor tells him, spitting the words as though he was a cobra releasing venom.
Sunbeam doesn't respond. I can see Vigor's muscles tense up. He can knock out Sunbeam right here and now. I have no doubt. I struggle to take a few steps forward.
Sunbeam struggles to find the words and when he finds them he doesn't sound so confident, "I know...but...I...I still love him. That won't change."
"Oh it won't?" Vigor stares him down harder.
Another gulp. Deeper this time.
"No."
I have to give it to Sunbeam. Anyone else would have shit their pants at this moment. Sunbeam and I had a history. It was a real history though. I had spent years being in love with him and nothing (including him getting a girlfriend) changed that. I didn't think a scary Super Villain in his face would make him so easily change his mind about me.
Vigor does something surprising at that moment. He reaches out his hand, "Thank you for loving him. Thank you for loving him enough to save him."
Sunbeam looks out at Vigor's hand probably wondering if it's a trick. He hesitates. Vigor may not be too familiar with Sunbeam but everyone knew who Vicious Vigor was. Everyone knew how menacing he was. I don't blame Sunbeam for hesitating. Right now I'm looking at Vigor offering Sunbeam a handshake and I am doubtful about it.
Sunbeam does it though. He reaches his hand out and he shakes his hand. The two most important men in my life are finding some sort of mutual understanding at that moment. They are showing each other some mutual sort of respect and honestly I appreciate every moment of it.
"Sorry to break up this moment," I respond, "But we still have a mission to finish. Don't we?"
I turn around and look at Mind Meld.
"He looks so...helpless," Vigor says looking at him.
"He's a vegetable," Sunbeam lets us know, "He was the first successful metahuman. The gift. It was made in a lab. It was created from the tests done on Mind Meld. All those tests left what you see now. His mind is powerful but his body...it's useless..."
I wonder if Sunbeam's knowledge about Mind Meld was before or after Mind Meld took over his brain. I remember the reason we were in that place in the Ministry building where I lost Sunbeam the first tmie was because he was looking into how the Gift started out. Regardless of how Sunbeam knows the information he knows I think it is clear that he's right.
Mind Meld is sitting in a chair. For all intensive purposes he doesn't move behind his glass. He stares at the screen and stares at us. His eyes are a little frantic but right now that is the only thing that I can think of.
"I don't think I can kill someone who won't fight back," I admit.
"Don't let the paralysis fool you," Sunbeam stated, "I know first hand the cruel things Mind Meld was ready to do. A power like his...has to be stopped."
Vicious shakes his head, "What's that machine he's connected to?"
"It helps him breathe."
"Guess I'll be unplugging it," Vigor states.
Mind Meld's eyes are moving back and forth frantically as Vigor approaches the door. He seems aware of the fact that Vigor is going to kill him. I can just imagine how he feels like he is going to die. Suffocation definitely didn't seem the way to go if you had to die. As Vigor punches the glass and it shatters Mind Meld's fragile body is completely exposed. He looks so thin. He looks so skinny. It's scary seeing what Leaf was able to create in that lab.
"Wait."
Vigor looks over at me, "Babe---I need you to look at the bigger picture. This guy is dangerous. We have to do what we have to do."
"You're right. But first we need him," I instruct Vigor and then I look at Mind Meld, "And in return we can give him a quicker death then letting him suffocate..."
Vigor looks at me hard. After all the shit that we went through with Mind Meld's zombie army I am thinking Vigor would rather appreciate him suffocating. Hell, even Sunbeam doesn't seem to have a problem with it. They are both looking at me like I've completely lost my mind.
"What the fuck could we possibly need this...thing for?"
I look over at the screen that Mind Meld is looking at. I remember how Mind Meld's powers work. Mind Meld is able to control people if he knew what their limits were. The way Philip Leaf was collecting the limits for Mind Meld is through the Registration. Every metahuman had to register with the Mandate Ministry and let them know exactly what it is their limit was.
It makes me think, "Did Mayor Morals ever get registered?"
=======================================================================
"Hold it. Relax your muscles. Don't resist. It'll hurt if you resist."
"You try doing this. It's easier said then done."
"You're still too tight. Look, I can feel it. Loosen up. You wanted this didn't you?"
"Of course I wanted it."
"Then put your mind to it baby."
I strain. I moan. My muscles tightening and I'm trying to push through it, "Ugh...fuck it hurts."
"No it doesn't. It feels so good. You're almost there. Let it out. Feel it baby. Mhmm. You're almost there. Give it to me baby..."
Just at that moment Fem Fatale walks over and smiles, "This is making me a little wet."
Vigor and I aren't fucking even though it sounds like it. Fem Fatale is fanning herself as Vigor is standing behind me. Vigor has his hands on my shoulders. It isn't distracting me to have Vigor his chin on the back of my shoulder, pressing his crotch into me and whispering words of encouragement in my ear. Honestly it's the only thing that's really helping me at this moment.
We are standing at the edge of the invisible wall. I have my hands on the wall. It was Scanman's idea that I change the wall into something else since my powers were now stronger than ever.
"Can you please try not talk about how turned on you are by other men when I'm around?" Icebox asks her.
"Relax they are gays..." Fem argues.
Icebox puts her hand on Fem's shoulder.
They aren't the only ones there. The Thinkers are standing close by.
"You can do it Materias..." Mrs. Thinker starts.
"We know you can do anything you put your mind to," Mr. Thinker finishes.
I give them sharp looks wanting them to stay out of my head but really I'm glad for the encouragement. Ghost is being the creeper he always is and walking around silently watching without saying much.
"We don't have much time..." Scanman states.
"Can you not worry for like two minutes?" Sunbeam asks his brother, "My boy got this."
"He's actually my man..." Vigor corrects him giving Sunbeam a strong fierce look.
Sunbeam has joined the Division of Destiny. It was hell getting Vigor to agree to it but in the end Vigor wanted me to happy and me being happy was having Sunbeam around me. Sunbeam doesn't really act out on any emotions he has for me. I think partially it's because he doesn't want to confuse our friendship but mostly it's because he petrified of Vigor. Vigor has become more human as far as opening up to the people around us but his glares are still something that none of us are able to relate to.
"We need to hurry up. That's all I'm saying," Scanman stresses out.
Vigor shoots him a look, "Let him focus Scan. All of you. Let him focus."
"I can't do it..."
"You can do it," Vigor explains, "Envision the wall just being something else. That's how your power works right."
"It's easy when the thing you are trying to change isn't a gigantic dome that encircles the city," I explain to Vigor, "It also helps when you can actually see whatever the fuck it is that needs changing."
I'd been able to change something small into something big.
I'd been able to create a living creature out of an inanimate object.
I'd made cold ass Vicious Vigor fall in love with me.
I'd broken all the limits that I thought I once had.
But this thing. This thing was beyond impossible. It wasn't just the Division counting on me to take down the wall. All the metahumans were counting on me to take down the wall. We weren't able to find the person who put the wall up. Scanman tried as much as he could to scan metahumans but we still couldn't locate them. We couldn't even locate the metahuman on Mindmeld's registration. The only way to get this invisible wall down was if I took it down myself.
"You can do it baby," Vigor whispers in my ear, "Do it for Madame Motions."
We had saved the other villains by taking control of Mayor Morals. Mind Meld seemed so frightened that Vigor would threaten him and let him suffocate that he was willing to have the Mayor stop fighting my friends and come kill both him and Mind Meld. It had saved the Division just in time. A few minutes later and the Mayor would have killed every last one of my friends.
He ended up just killing one though. The old dramatic lady who didn't need to go back but decided to go back into the fray anyway. Mayor Morals had killed her before we were able to have Mind Meld stop his attack.
"For Motions," I agree with Vigor feeling the motivation run through my fingertips.
"We'll do it together," Vigor tells me.
He places his hands around my waist. I know it's just symbolic. Vigor really can't help me with what I'm doing. No one can truly help me but it doesn't matter. It doesn't matter because as I press my hands on that invisible wall I know that I am not alone. I have an entire Division behind me. I have an entire Division helping me.
And I feel this burst of energy.
It's a burst of energy like I've never felt before.
And all of a sudden everyone is falling backward from the force...
I'm falling too...but I'm not falling backward. I'm falling forward.
I fall into a field that I wasn't able to touch before. A small piece of pavement that I was not able to touch before appears there as well. I lay on the ground at that moment. I feel this sense of relief knowing what I did was truly remarkable.
The others are looking back at me. They seem impressed even though they are staring at me in silence. Even Icebox raises an eyebrow and gives me a slight nod of appreciation.
"It's gone," Vigor tells me.
I'm laying down on the grass looking up at Vigor. He looks like a fucking angel staring down from me. I'm not laying there because I'm enjoying the view. I'm laying there because I literally don't have enough energy to do much of anything else.
"What did you change it to?" Sunbeam asks me, "The wall I mean."
"Look up," I respond.
I try to point but I don't. There are lights in the sky. It's the same lights that I remembered from back in the day. The invisible wall had changed to that array of lights. The lights that had changed me into the person I am now. The lights that made me a metahuman. The other Villains look up at the beautiful display of lights.
"Please tell me that's just symbolic," Fem Fatale says looking at the lights.
"Oh fuck yeah. I didn't have energy to have it mean anything else," I tell her laughing at the thought, "They are just lights. It's not really the Gift. Regardless. Everyone it ends how it began. The lights in the sky. It ends just like that."
"Is it really..." Mr. Thinker starts off.
"Over?" his wife finishes.
No one knows how to answer that question. We all stand there. Half of them have crossed past where the invisible wall ended. The other half are still on the pavement in Metropolis. It would be amazing if the fighting was really over. It would be amazing if we could finally live in peace.
"The Mandate Ministry is still around," Scanman stated, "They are still hunting Vicious Vigor."
"They should be thanking him. He helped save the fucking world," Fem Fatale defends him.
Vicious just stands there looking at me. It's almost like he isn't even part of the conversation. He's looking at me as though he would prefer to be some where else right now. I wonder if he thinks this fight is all really over. I wonder if that's why he's giving me the look that he's giving me now. His eyes sink into me and I want this to be over. I want us to just retire somewhere far...really far.
"He also did kill the president..." Sunbeam reminds us and adds before Vigor can shoot him a harsh stare, "Just saying..."
Icebox laughs, "We'll always be villains. No matter how many times we saved the world."
I shake my head.
"I'm fine with that," I admit to the Division.
Vigor nods at that moment taking that as a sign, "You guys need to go to the rest of the plan. Start spreading the news that the invisible wall is down. People don't have to stay here anymore. Let them know the lights in the sky are a sign. As long as they are up there metahumans will be able to leave Metropolis. Everyone will be able to leave Metropolis."
Fem Fatale gives Vigor a look, "You just want time to fuck your man..."
Vigor looks down at me and bites on his lip, "Maybe I do."
Fem smiles, "Can I watch?"
"OK! It's time to go," Icebox grabs Fem Fatale.
I watch as everyone starts to leave. Sunbeam is one of the last ones. He gives me a curious look but continues to walk away with the others. Scanman has laid out a huge plan about getting out the news to everyone.
I'm alone with Vigor at that moment.
Vigor takes off his trench coat "You look so sexy right there. Laying down waiting for me. You know that."
I'm completely out of energy but cast intense eyes at how sexy this man is. I mean his body is fascinating. Vigor approaches me. His strong muscles are flashing down on me. The beautiful displace of lights over his head seem to be a sign.
"What makes you think I'm waiting for you. My body is as usesless as Mind Meld's right now."
He reaches over and touches my crotch. My dick jerks up at that moment, "Seems like there is some life in there to me."
"Really?"
"Yeah. You don't even got to do nothing. You deserve me to treat you today."
I'm laying on the grass unable to move and I feel Vigor take my pants off. He takes my pants off slow letting my belt loose. My dick flies out. It's hard. It's throbbing. It's the only thing on me with any sort of energy.
At first I think Vigor is going to put my legs over my head and fuck the shit out of me. I would have welcomed it.
But he doesn't.
Vigor goes down on me. He starts sucking my dick. The idea of seeing the most powerful Villain in the world on his hands and knees giving you head was something that blew my mind away. Vigor warm mouth pressed up against my shaft. He licks slowly at the tip and I realize that precum is coming out. He takes it all in allowing the precum to drip to the side of his lips. He seems to use that precum as lube.
"Fuck!" I squirm.
I am too weak to get away as he licks the sensitive head of my dick while using his hands to work up and down the shaft of my dick.
"I told you that you deserve this baby," he responds.
Here he is. The manly man himself giving me head and doing a good fucking job at it. He's slurping up and down on my dick as though this is the best tasting thing he's ever had in his life. His mouth is warm and pressing deeply into me.
My body is slowly and surely coming back to life after exhaustion. I feel my fingers tighten around the only thing that is near me. The only thing I can reach for are blades of grass.
"Damn deeper baby."
"Mhmm..."
He is making his throat vibrate. I realize he's deep throating me. Vigor has softened his throat. I'm pretty sure that he's changing the density of his throat because it feels so soft. It feels so FUCKING good. As he uses his powers to change the back of his throat I realize that I can't take it anymore. THE warmth soft throat engulfs my dick. His lips are all the at the base of my dick. His fingers are cupping my balls.
I can't take it, "I'm about to cum."
"Mhmm..."
"Baby move your head."
"Uh uh..."
That's when I cum. I shoot loads of my semen into the back of Vigor's throat. Vigor takes it as well. He takes the semen all into his mouth and Vigor swallows it all. He swallows it completely.
I'm shocked by it.
I'm turned on when he flashes me a smile, pulls up my pants and climbs up the top of my body to kiss me. He lays on his back on the grass and lazily rolls me over onto him, pretending as if he's exhausted as well.
We lay together there for what seems like forever...looking up at the lights in the sky.
Vigor is the first to speak, "You know that could be our last mission."
"The others need us."
"Not for the Ministry. They can take out a bunch of humans."
My heart races.
"What are you saying Vigor?"
"I'm saying things would be better off without me. The ministry is after me. I killed the president. I can go off to the mountains. Maybe an island. I can escape. The division doesn't need me," he explains.
"You plan on leaving me?" I raise an eyebrow.
"Fuck nawl," he responds pulling me aggressively closer to him, "We can both get out of here. We can both leave. No more fighting. No more Vicious Vigor and Materias. It can just be Edgar and Cameron..."
"Edgar?" My mouth opens.
I can't help but to start laughing at that moment.
"You tell someone about that I'll kill you," Vigor warns with a smile.
"I think it's cute," I laugh, "I think we should do it."
"You serious? Would you be ready to hang up our capes?"
"I love you..." I respond, "I'm ready."
Vigor is hard again. Me finally telling him that I loved him seemed to be all he wanted to hear. I can see him unbuckling his belt, "You knew that you telling me that was going to get you in trouble right. I'm about to make love to you all day long under these lights."
I raise an eyebrow, "I'm ready for that too."
Vigor starts climbing on top of me. Soon as he does though I can see a whiz. It happens so fucking fast. My heart races I don't have time to call out. Luckily Vigor's reflexes are better. He jumps off of me quickly.
He flings himself towards the air grabbing at something. I'm not sure what it is. I'm not sure what could possibly have been moving so fast.
Vigor has it though. He quickly grabs the person using just his senses and his gut. He trips the person and pins them to the floor.
"Wait!" I tell Vigor before Vigor pummels the fuck out of the person running up on us like that.
It's Kid Lightning.
The look on Kid Lightning's eyes says it all. Something was wrong.
Something was very wrong.
Vigor gives him a look, "You better have a serious ass fucking reason for coming up here."
Kid Lightning is out of breath. It's the first time I've seen him out of breath. How fast was he running? How far had he run?
"I had to come. I had to warn you. I had to warn you before I had the chance."
I look over at Kid Lightning, "Kid, take a deep breath. What's wrong?"
"Lady Liberty. She's gone crazy. That stone you gave her...it isn't just a stone. Lady Liberty has found Leaf's research and knows how to use that stone to give herself extra powers. She's killed the other heroes when they tried to stop her."
"Holy shit," I say to Vigor.
Vigor looks over at me, "It's not our problem. Remember. We are going to make our escape. Hang up our capes? Remember?"
I'm breathing heavy and I turn to Kid.
"What is Lady Liberty planning to do?"
"What does anyone who gets too much power wants? She wants more of it. She wants to take over...everything," Kid Lightning explains, "I barely got away. She's crazy. She's crazier than Leaf. And I didn't know where else to go. I didn't know who else could stop her. I've literally ran to every inch of this city looking for you guys. Lady Liberty is coming..."
Fuck.
Vigor looks over at me. I can see for a moment that our eyes are in agreement. He doesn't want to go back into the fight. Neither do I.
But it doesn't matter.
"Guess I'll have to wait to spend some one on one time with Cameron, huh?" Vigor asks me.
I look at Vigor hard and all of a sudden I feel the exhaustion go away. I get up off the grass. I'm ready to go find my uniform. I don't know where I find the energy but I know it's back.
I tell Vigor, "Call me Materias..."
THE END
