Disclaimer: You guys already know that the wb and cw network own these characters and I made up a character to go with the story.
I sat at the window, watching the rain fall on the roof again. I reflected on the fact that I had just beat the crap out of person who had ruined a relationship I never thought would end. I was alone now, but Sam had stayed. Dean had stayed for a while too, but he left a while ago. Sam had just left, not that he wanted to. I had overheard him ask Jo and Ellen to keep an eye on me. While Ellen seemed to sympathize with me, Jo was skiddish around me. That's why it shocked me when Jo walked into my room.
" I'm sorry that I unintentionally stole your...our..." Jo said, searching for the right words.
" I'm good. I'm sorry I kicked your ass." I said sincerely.
Jo fingered her black eye and busted lip, " You sure you weren't, like, a boxer?" she joked, making us both laugh.
In between laughs I asked, " How did you know John?" I asked blatantly.
" I didn't. He was my mom and dad's friend. I barely know Dean and Sam. I like Sam, he seems like the nice one. Cute. Dean is sexy, but he has a bad attitude, especially towards female hunters." she said.
" He grows on you. Cute and Sexy, that describes the Winchesters." I commented and we laughed again.
" I'm sorry about John." she said out of nowhere.
For a minute, I looked at her as if she was mistaken, then I spoke, " Save that for Dean and Sam. I miss him and loved him like family, but that was their father. (awkward silence) So, was I hallucinating, or did I see Andrew?" I asked, trying to change the subject.
" Not sure. I saw someone, but I'm not sure it's him." she said.
" Yeah, he basically outed me to Dean and Sam." I said, reminiscing.
" That sucks. Was it embarrassing? Cause I bet you like one of them, huh? Which one is cuter to you?" she said with confidence.
" They're both hot. I would date Sam, Dean looks at me like a little brother. But they're not into me anyways." I said, trying to make sure she didn't suspect anything.
I heard a noise and looked back at the door, " They're listening outside." I whispered.
" GUYS....or Winchester guys." she sighed.
" Tell me about it." I said, sighing too.
" What about us?" Dean said, opening the door and coming in, followed by Sam.
" Like you weren't just listening at the door!" Jo said, sounding annoyed.
" You really would date him if he looked at you like that?" Sam asked, a tone of jealously in his voice.
Dean was about to say something, but I spoke, " No. It's all hypothetical...so what did you find?" I asked, sitting on back by the window with a blanket.
" Nothing. Zip. I see you're talking...and to Jo. That's a surprise." Sam said, sitting on the bed.
Jo laughed, " Yeah, well, Jo has to get down for happy hour. See ya guys later." she said, heading out the door.
Dean sighed, " I think I'm going to get food. But you and I are going to talk later, okay?" Dean said, leaving me and Sam alone.
I nodded and they left. I turned to see Sam looking at me, " Dean over me?" he asked seriously.
I whined, " No, believe me. You over Dean, in fact in a few minutes, you over me." I said hopefully.
" So, you're better?" he asked, laying back on the bed.
I laid on him, " Not at all...flashbacks, Spirits taking over my body, and Andrew following me all over creation." I said simply.
" If it's any constellation, I thought you were very...you made me...I already wanted you, but those leather pants almost killed me." Sam said, rubbing my ass.
I kissed him, " Really? Then maybe I should pull them out." I laughed.
Sam got up and locked the door, then we laid back on the bed, " Maybe later, right now I need some sleep." Sam said, drifting off. I followed him into a deep sleep.
=====================================================================================================================
When I woke up, Sam was staring at me and I leaned over and kissed him.
" It's not what it looks like." he said, smiling.
I smiled, " So, you weren't watching me sleep?" I chuckled.
" Yeah, I guess it is what it sounds like." he laughed.
I sat up, " You were thinking weren't you?" I asked.
Sam sat up beside me, " What's with Andrew?" he asked carefully.
I sighed, " He dumped me after he got engaged to Jo. I guess I used to ride the short bus, but I was in love. Was...being the operative word." I said, stressing that I wasn't still in love with that asshole.
" You were young?" he said.
" It was a few months ago." I said examining him.
" You are young...is that better?" he joked.
I leaned forward and kissed him, then quickly jumped from the bed when I heard the door slam shut. Sam pulled his laptop to his lap and I pretended to be writing something on the desk. Dean walked in and Sam shut his laptop.
Sam smiled up at Dean, " How's Jo?" Sam asked quickly.
Dean smirked, " I wouldn't know, lil brother. But it looks like we have another hunt." Dean said, walking to his weapons bag.
I perked up, " YAY!" I said, slipping on my shoes.
" NO! No, you're not coming." Dean frowned.
I stood now, " And why the hell not?" I said angrily.
" Look, every time you come, you get hurt." Dean said without thinking.
I looked at him angrily, " Maybe, but we always do what we're supposed to." I said confidently.
" Look, we promised dad that we'd take care of you and I intend to keep that promise." Dean sighed.
I shifted, " I made the same promise." I argued.
Dean walked to Sam, who'd had his head down the entire time, " I guess there's one way to break a tie." Dean said triumphantly.
Sam looked up from his laptop, " What?" he said, confused.
" What's it gonna lil brother?" Dean said, trying to rally support from Sam.
Sam got up and walked to me, " Chalis, we just don't want to see you get hurt anymore." he said as calmly as he could.
My face hit the floor, " What?! I'm not helpless!" I said, very much pissed.
" That's not what we're trying to say." Sam said cooly.
" Yeah, it is." I shouted.
" Oh, don't get so emotional." he said, again without thinking.
I was so pissed, " So because I'm...I can get emotional anytime I want, asshole! And for your info, I'm not emotional!" I said, storming off.
Sam started to come after me, but Dean stopped him, " Let me fix this." he said, following me.

I marched out of the Roadhouse and sat on the Impala thinking about what I was fighting for. I was fighting to risk my life...and for what?! What would it hurt to stay back? But then again, it's not about that. It's about the fact that they look at me like a 'dude in distress'. Ok, yeah, I did get hurt a lot, but I helped. They had beaten so many monsters and things because I helped and it sucked that they could only see the part where I got hurt.
Dean tapped my shoulder, " Look, I didn't mean to make you so mad back there." he said, gauging how mad I was.
I looked at him and nodded.
" We really don't want anything to happen to you." Dean pleaded.
I sighed, " I get that and if it was just about me not going, I'd get over it, but you think I'm just some little boy who is destined to die a very...very painful death." I said seriously.
Dean chuckled, " You know, we went to visit my mother's grave and we ran into a ghost there who...I had to deal with some thing and I ended up having to say that whatever's dead should stay dad...I don't want you to be one of those things. Dad died to save me and Sam and you. Don't let that be for nothing." He said. it was times like this when I could see myself with him. Sometimes I wanted to stab him, but sometimes he could melt me.
I smiled, " Yeah, but he trusted me. He trusted that I could find a way to survive." I said sadly.
" I have the same confidence in you, but...I know what's out there and I know what it can do. Mom, Dad, Jessica..." Dean said, listing those who had fallen.
I frowned, " ...I'm not them. I know what we're facing and...wait, Jessica?" I asked, trying to recognize the name.
" Sam's ex. You're not the only one with a past. The Demon killed her." he explained.
I looked at him, " Why do you do this?" I asked him blatantly.
" What?" he asked.
I still stared at him, " Hunt demons so hard?" I asked in awe of him.
" To save the people I love." He said simply.
I blushed, " You love me?" I taunted.
" Yeah. Yeah, I do and I'd rather you were in one piece." he laughed.
I hugged him, " Thank you." I smiled.
" So are we okay?" he smirked.
I nodded, " Promise me one thing." I said, carefully weighing my words.
Dean stepped back, " What is it?" he asked carefully.
I frowned again, " Be careful." I asked seriously.
" I'm not promising anything." he smiled.
====================================================================================================================
I walked back inside, not able to wipe the smile off my face quick enough before Sam saw.
Dean smiled, " Hey, Jo, help me with the stuff, will ya." He said, picking up some stuff.
Jo nodded and hugged me, " I'm leaving too. Not with them...if my mom asks, I'm nowhere near them! (I nodded) Be careful, just because you're not on a hunt doesn't mean you can't be hunted." she said, giving me some friendly advice.
Dean and Jo left with the weapons and Sam stood in front of me with his laptop. He pretended to be busy, but I knew that he was just trying to avoid what was on his mind.
I tapped his shoulder, " So, I guess you're going to be away for a few days." I smiled.
" Longer than that if something goes wrong." He said coldly.
I frowned, " Why would you say something like that?" I said, sad at the thought of them not coming back.
Sam sighed, " What was that 180? I mean from pissed to almost blushing?" he inquired.
Now I sighed, " He reassured me that he didn't think I was helpless." I said, trying to get to his point.
He jerked his hands towards me, " What? We never said you were helpless!" he said angrily.
I nodded, " Look, you're about to leave again and to be honest, you might not come back. You know how I'd feel if you never come back?!" I vented.
" I don't know, you'd still have Dean." he said snidely.
I scoffed, " Jealous much? Look, I love you!" I almost shouted.
" I would date Sam, cause Dean thinks of me as a little brother!" he said, mocking me.
I hugged him, then looked up into his eyes, " I said that because I didn't want everyone to know that we...if I would have said I want to date Sam because I'm already dating him, that would have been..." I trailed off.
" The truth." He said.
I was shocked, " You're mad that I didn't out you?" I said in shock.
" Dean and Jo are waiting." he said impatiently.
I kissed him, " I love you! And I don't know how to convince you that I do." I said, sounding very strained.
" I know you love me, but are you in love with Dean?" he asked.
I stared at him, " What in the hell have I been saying?! I get it, you're jealous and then you saw me walk in smiling...well, guess what, I'm attracted to Dean...but not as attracted to him as I am to you!" I said, ready to give up.
Sam looked down at me again, then sighed once more, " Are you gonna kiss me again if I don't believe you?" he smiled.
" NO." I said smiling.
He sighed. I grabbed him by the collar, " There could be something more involved." I said, kissing him, then I heard a car horn sound and Sam looked at the door. Sam walked to the door, but turned around and kissed me again.
" Ok, I think I'll go." he said walking to the door.
I wanted him to stay, but he left and I sat at the table with his laptop and researched the symbols on the altar in the barn so I could figure out exactly what Andrew was up to.
