Previously, from Surprised Graham and Robert 2
On Graham's suggestion, Rob phoned his parents, from the car, to ask if they could stop by for a short visit and supper on the way home. Graham could hear that he was getting a bit of grilling about who he was bringing and where they were coming from. Even Graham could sense the dark clouds gathering.
Rob looked out the window after the call and sighed, "The comparison with your mother and your brother, no, there is no comparison. Remember this is the first time I have brought someone home, ever. To this date, my 'choices' have been hypothetical, not seen, not experienced. I swear if the reception goes off, we are leaving. "
"Rob give them time. I am a big guy. I can handle a lot; let me handle it. I promise that I shall not hold your hand, hug you, kiss you passionately, give you sultry looks. Our relationship shall be discrete tonight. Just to let you know the play on words. I would spell it d-i-s-c-r-e-t-e." It took a second while he processed the play on words and then shook his head and chuckled.
"Thanks for lightening the situation. The real question is can I handle it?" He got THE look from Graham. All Rob could think, was that this was no way to end the most wonderful weekend in years. But Graham was correct; they had to start somewhere and had to try. Might as well do it while he was on a high. At least it was a short exposure.
Chapter 3
The drive seemed to be very short. Suddenly, they were pulling up outside Robert's home. Graham just had to take one look; they obviously had money. It was a large house in an expensive neighbourhood. One more contrast between the two families.
Robert's father, Don McLeod, opened the door. Firm handshake. A man in his late 50s, trim but a little on the heavy side. His face was a little red. Was that high blood pressure? Probably built like Robert when he was younger. The welcome was sincere but not enthusiastic to either son or friend. Something good was cooking. Susan McLeod came quickly into the room. She was more animated and seemed more friendly to both of the guys. Kiss to Robert and handshake to Graham.
Drinks were served sitting in the living room and supper promised in a 10 to 15 minutes. 'Time to get to know each other'. Graham's job seemed to impress Don, a bit. How did they know each other? What club? Oh yes, he knew of it. Not impressed. What was wrong with Graham's father. Unfortunate. Why did Robert go? Could have been complicated but explained by Graham's flu and Robert's decision to drive. Nice of Robert. Where did Graham live in the city? Quick looks were exchanged between Robert and Graham
Robert took over that part. Graham had just started to work and had rented very small quarters and Robert had offered to let him stay at his place for a while to search out good accommodations at an affordable price. But there is only one bedroom, Don had commented. Don was going to push it. Thinking quickly, Robert had a choice, the couch in the living room or his bed. He decided on direct, like his father's comment.
"Dad, we share the bedroom." Ah, the question and the answer. The room chilled a bit, quite a bit.
"So this is how you introduce us to your new partner. Just drop by for supper."
"Dad, let's be honest. Maybe it is the time for some honest talk. You are the one who pushed the question." He paused looking at his father directly and intently "There was no need for the one bedroom comment. You could have just let us come and go with my explanation of Graham's move. I left wiggle room. I wanted you to meet Graham with no fuss. Graham really was sick this last week and I didn't want him to drive. We were passing by after a tough weekend with his mother and father. We could have just driven on. A quick question, would you have asked the same question if Brian arrived with a girl in this way."
"That's different." Wisely, Robert just went quiet but his face said how and why? It was obvious that Don liked to be direct but he was one of those who didn't like to be on the receiving end. There had been messages passed between Don and Susan. Don did not look pleased but he stopped talking as well.
Thank god for Susan. "You know I think that supper is ready. Red wine OK for all?" Graham said yes but he wanted to yell, yes and lots of it, for god's sake. Graham gave a her a quick smile and a very quiet thank you as he passed by her. She gave him a smile of appreciation.
Graham had decided that he had to take some control of the situation. First, shift the attention.
"Susan the food smells great. It has made me twice as hungry." Another a little smile of thanks. She served a really delicious meal. They all tucked in.
"Don this is a really nice house and neighbourhood. How long have you been here?" They were off on a discussion of areas in the city and talk about the house and what they had done to it. When that topic wore out, he was prepared.
"Robert tells me that you are in business. How is the present business climate affecting you?" That really got him going. The temperature warmed considerably. Graham threw in a few things that he had read in the Economist or Globe and Mail to enliven the subject or illustrate a point.
Seconds were in the offing from Susan. He broke his conversation with Don. "Yes, I could have just a bit more of the meat and the vegetables. No, not too much. No, enough wine, it was excellent but I have to drive back home. Yes, we probably will split it about half way." He talked about the food. He noticed that Robert had had only a small amount of wine. A couple of times Graham glanced at him out of the corner of his eye. He couldn't interpret the look or his mood but Robert remained silent making the odd comment or chatting quietly with his mother. Dessert was excellent.
He knew that he had taken charge. So he had to set the scene for leaving. At a convenient time, he looked at his watch. "Cannot believe the time. Thank you both for a really nice evening. We both took a couple of days off and have to be in work early tomorrow." He shrugged his shoulders. They made preparations to leave.
Susan and he were saying goodbye as she very quietly whispered, "Thank you so much. They are like two bulls. I'll work on Don. We are going to set a date when we or the entire family can get together. You will be included." She reached up and gave him a kiss.
He heard Robert say to his Dad, "Thanks Dad, a good evening, excellent food and a very good wine. Do you have any other good ones like that one that you can tell me about? Good. Could you send me some names by email." They shook hands.
When Graham shook hands with Don, Don said that they would have to talk more and that he wanted to hear more about what he was up to at the law firm.
There was silence between them as they went to the car. Graham hoped he hadn't done something wrong or misspoken. Robert didn't know what to say. He had seen few such perfect performances in his life.
Graham was about to ask if there was problem when Robert broke the silence. "Big guy, please pull over to the curb just up there." Graham was flummoxed as he had no idea what was going on but the use of his pet name meant something, he hoped. He had just walked the minefields of the McLeod household, he needed a respite.
"I cannot remember the expression but it is something like 'you attract more things with honey than with vinegar'. Thank you and I am going to give you something right here; it can't wait." He leaned over and gave him a passionate kiss. "Now you can drive. We discuss this later. Except, you were brilliant, lover." They drove in companionable quiet a lot of the way, each in his own world of thought. Both realized what an extraordinary 4 days they had had.
6:30 am. came too soon, Tuesday morning. Both remembered and felt the early bedtime and the slow passionate love between them when they arrived home. As they woke, they kissed, laughed at each others hardness, making unkind comments about each others sexual prowess and who did what to whom but both agreed, no quickie this morning. Last night would remain with them all day. They left for work refreshed and invigorated.
The week was busy with catching up at work and at home. They had a hockey game in their league Thursday after work. It was their first in a while and both were excited. Their team played well and Graham didn't have to make a lot of saves. It gave him time to contemplate the last week. It had been like very few in his life before.
He watched Robert get a breakaway. He saw the long graceful strides down the ice. His body movements were graceful. It was almost like a dance as he moved with his legs and skated and stick handled down the ice. In his mind, he saw that body and those legs as Robert had come out of the shower that morning. His hair slicked to his scalp, the hair on his chest matted, his cock slightly plump from being handled during washing, balls hanging loosely, those wonderful muscled legs that folded over his back when he entered him. Shit, he was getting hard. Luckily, he saw the play developing and with muscle memory and instinct, he blocked the shot. Robert skated by him, "Nice save, big guy."
Graham was in the kitchen after the game waiting, leaning against the counter. Robert came in. He stopped and looked at him. Robert quickly processed the lean on the counter, the look. He saw why people called it a smouldering look. It was in the eyes mostly, open and not blinking but with just the faintest slit. The look was intense, muscles of the face tense. He decided to have a bit of fun.
"What!"
Graham stared and finally said, "Strip!"
The game was on. "What! What if I am not in the mood?"
"That would be unfortunate. I guess I would have to see what I could do to get you in the mood. Come here!"
Robert was smiling inside as he was more than in the mood but he stood still and gave the slightest shrug to his shoulders.
Graham, moving towards him, "OK, this way may involve a bit more pain but you made your choice." Graham couldn't keep just a trace of a smile from his face. "As your father says, choices."
Graham kissed him with passion. He almost tore his shirt and t shirt off. His hands were all over his chest. He ran his hands through the hair at first lightly and then started to pull it, lightly and then harder and harder. He heard a small gasp from Robert. "Choices." Little flicks to the nipples, then rubbing them with thumb and finger, lightly, adding more and more pressure until he could see Robert's eyes getting bigger. Then he did the same with his teeth.
"Oh, shit, big guy, I am yours, I am in the mood."
Graham shrugged, "Choices."
He put his hands on Robert's very full crotch and squeezed, increasing the pressure until he really got his attention. Pants were opened and pulled down with the shorts in one fast pull. Same method with balls and cock. His last attention getter was to light scrape his teeth over the head, while running a finger up his crack probing at his hole.
With urgency, "Where is the lube? Graham I need you in me now."
"Oh, finally in the mood? About time. Watching you during the game turned me on. I saw your graceful and athletic body on ice and then had a flashback to you getting out of the shower this morning. You had me turned on on the ice. That goal I stopped towards the end was just instinct I was focused on your naked image this morning. I was hard from watching you and remembering this morning. He pulled the lube out of his jeans, still fully dressed but very obviously aroused. He stood back and started to undress slowly.
"Oh, shit, hurry it up."
With a huge smile, "Choices."
Rob lunged forward grabbed the lube, lubed himself and the minute that Graham was naked, he covered him with kisses. Then Robert moved and leaned against the counter. He turned his head, "Please, kiss me as you enter. Go in as fast and as hard as you want."
Graham had no intention of even possibly hurting him so it would be slow at first. They kissed. He entered and continued to kiss with just his head in. Rob could feel Graham getting fuller as he was surrounded by him. Rob was so tight and so hot. Both felt that they could almost explode right then but they willed some calm.
In almost desperation, Rob pushed back forcing Graham in all the way. Rob gasped with pleasure. Graham held himself all the way in, biting Rob's shoulders and raking his chest and stomach with his nails. Rob was mumbling and moaning. He tried to stroke his own hard cock but Graham swatted his hand aside. "My job, my way, my timing." He knew what he wanted. He stroked Rob almost delicately, feeling the hardness and wetness at the tip. He played with the head, lightly circling it, adding light touches at times. Then he started to stroke himself in and out of Rob.
Rob turned his head for a kiss. His eyes were blazing, his face was red. "Take me hard and fast. Don't stop until I feel you finishing in me. Stroke me hard, please."
"I have plans." He increased his tempo and all too soon he felt his orgasm starting and then hurtling through his groin and body. He yelled out his pleasure. When he finished, he withdrew. He turned Rob around and covered him with lube; Graham turned to the counter. "I need you so badly."
Rob entered him and Graham asked him to stoke his cock as he was still hard. A possibility was forming in his head. Rob was very vocal as he stroked fast and hard in and out. Very soon, Graham could feel the change in rhythm; Rob's finish was close. As he came inside him, he stopped stroking Graham for a minute but Graham stayed hard. When Rob's breathing returned to normal and he came out, he turned Graham around and looked at him. "You are still hard? Come!"
He led him to the bedroom. Rob lay on the bed. He just smiled, spreading his legs and pulling them up to his chest. "Come on. You can do it. I know your plan." Graham entered him. It was long and loving. They eventually turned on their side with Graham in behind, making slow love to Rob as he stroked Rob's cock. For both, the second time was stronger and the sensations magnified many times.
"Big guy, you never cease to amaze. You certainly are not bad at the sex part. In fact, not bad at all the parts, as well."
"Can't help it; you motivate me. I love you." They fell asleep.
The telephone rang several nights later. Graham answered. "Hello Susan. How are you? Nice to hear from you." They chatted and she asked to speak to Robert.
"Hi, Mom. Unexpected call. Everything OK? I know you don't have to phone only if there is problem. You are calling about the May 24 weekend. All the family? There may be a bit of conflict as I think that Graham usually goes to his parent's cottage on that weekend. OK, I understand this is a special family gathering and Graham is expected. Mom, he and I have to talk about this. Your are correct. We make these decisions together. Thanks. Talk to you soon."
"Sounds as if we need a planning session?"
"We are very close and share everything?" He looked at Graham to see his reaction. Graham almost glowed with pleasure. "I'm glad I was seated. Mom wants to get all the family together as a family and you are part of it. Wow, what did she do to Dad? What about your family?"
They arrived at a possible solution. They would spend that weekend with Robert's family at the cottage. Graham suggested the idea that had percolated in his head. They would invite Andy and probably Mandy to go to his parent's cottage the next weekend. He would talk it over with his parents who might want to come or just come out for some meals as the cottage was small and quite close to town. Graham wondered if Robert would like to invite his brother, Brian, to come as well. Rob was very hesitant. Graham suggested that they see how things went on the 24th weekend and make a decision then.
Graham and Rob had visited Graham's parents several times over the last while and Graham phoned his mother and they talked it through. She thought that it was a great idea but only if she and Eric could could come out for supper and cards on the Saturday night. It sounded like a lot of fun.
A week later, Robert had given a lot of thought to his situation and had come to a big decision which he put into action by setting up an appointment with Scott at Graham's law firm. Tonight they had to talk.
Before supper, Rob looked at Graham. "Big guy we have to talk. Don't look like that. There is nothing wrong. I might see you at work on Thursday." He had Graham's attention. "I need your permission for some things. John's attack, your father's heart attack have given me a lot to think about. I have an appointment with Scott on Thursday. Powers of Attorney. I want you as one of people named on my Powers of Attorney for Personal Care and I want to discuss Powers of Attorney for Property."
"You don't fool around with the light stuff. This is heavy duty. Sometimes you really surprise me. Let's start with Personal Care. What is it that you want?"
"I live in the city with no relatives. I don't trust my brother. Mom and Dad are far away and we are not totally in sync with each other. I want you to be able to make decisions if we travel or in emergencies. I want you to be part of the decision making if decisions have to be made. We are doing a lot of highway driving. No way are you to be turned away like Mark if I am in hospital after an emergency." He shrugged his shoulders. "Am I going to fast for you?"
"You do know what this means, implies?"
"Yes, this is not spur of the moment; that's why I asked if this was too fast."
"Would it be too fast if I did the same thing?"
They looked at each as they had done before, looking for signs of shock, fear, doubts. Each knew that this would no longer be a relationship; they would be partners.
"Rob, let's do it together."
"By the way, I want it even tighter with you as my named person for Property. This apartment is ours. I don't want anyone coming in with the power to turn you out."
"I'm glad that I was sitting down for this talk."
"I have reservations for us at Baileys. We can discuss the details or not. I think somehow this calls for a special occasion."
"You think?" That was all that came out.
"Glad I can shock you sometimes."
Supper at the restaurant was magical. They lingered over their food. There were touches of each others hand, legs under the table. Their waiter smiled when he caught them holding hands. "This appears to be a special event. I hope that you enjoyed your meal."
"Very special. It is a night to remember. Thanks for being so understanding."
They strolled back to the condo, walking close together, touching each other lightly. Neither wanted this evening to end. Their celebration at home later that night was long and very passionate and cemented the new partnership.
The rest of the late winter and early spring passed by quickly. They had hockey until it finished. Both were taking martial arts training for defence and to learn a new skill. They worked out. There were nights at the club and at the Pub with their hockey friends. They had started going to hear the orchestra. Both had discovered listening to the Vienna Philharmonic that they liked orchestral music. They had started by going to some pops concerts and some jazz concerts. They had tried a concert of Stravinsky and Grieg and found that they enjoyed it thoroughly. They saw a number of more artistic films with Mark and John. It turned out to be a real bonding with them.
Finally, the Victoria Day long weekend in May came. The plan was for the family to meet for lunch on the Saturday. Rob and Graham decided to leave early and to arrive early to establish some ground rules like who was sleeping where and with whom. They were the first to arrive.
Graham took it all in. This was not a cottage by his definition. It was a house on a lake. Rob had a key and they walked in with food and wine they had brought and with their bags. Food in the kitchen. Wow, all the conveniences including a dishwasher and even an espresso machine. Then they grabbed their bags and Rob gave him the tour as they went to his room, their room. Luckily it had a double bed. They established their spot and where they were staying with both their bags in the open.
"This is going to be cozy. Unlike our cottage, the rooms have ceilings and solid doors."
"Your dirty mind at work. Sound still travels easily. You are cut off for the weekend."
"I may have to go home but luckily, knowing you, you'll find a way. You are just too lusty." Rob just gave his little, innocent boy look. Then, they gave each other a not so innocent kiss.
"Let's open the place up and get some chairs and stuff outside."
It was really a magnificent day; the sun was out and even at 10:30 it was already 18 Celsius. They worked for about 30 minutes opening windows, putting food and drink away. They went down to the lake and sat by the water with a beer each. It was heavenly. That's where they were when the first car arrived. It was Brian and a girlfriend.
Brian got out of the car and a lithe brunette came out of the passengers side. Rob and Graham walked to greet them.
Brian watched them come, looking directly at Graham. Graham could see that he was obviously giving him the once over. What would he do if Rob did the same thing to his girlfriend? Graham smiled inwardly remembering Don's words, 'that's different'.
Rob looked at the girlfriend, "Hi, welcome, I'm Robert, the brother. Nice to have you here." She introduced herself as Julie.
Graham looked directly at Brian and with the enthusiasm, "Brian, nice to finally meet you."
Graham had advanced with his hand out to shake hands but before he could reach him Brian had said, almost curtly, that he was pleased to meet him and had turned to go to the trunk to get luggage. To Graham it was obvious that he had decided to he wasn't about to shake hands. Graham had a tight smile and thought, strike one. Graham turned to Julie and made conversation about the trip up, the beauty of the place.
They offered to help bring some of the stuff up to the house. Brian muttered that it was OK that they could manage. None of this was lost on Rob. Graham looked at him and gave him a shake of the head and a small smile.
They walked to the cottage. Graham and Julie lingered outside. Inside, Brian turned to Rob, "What room are you in?"
"I decided to just use our usual rooms."
"Where is he sleeping?"
"Where is she sleeping?"
"That's none of your business!"
"Couldn't have put it better myself. For one time only, he has a name. It is Graham to all of us! I know Julie's name and shall use it all weekend. Enough said?" Brian turned and walked to his room. Rob just sighed. He turned to find Graham smiling at him.
"Thanks for that. I am forewarned and shall take care of myself." To himself, strike two.
He gave Rob a peck on the lips. Julie had just walked in and said sincerely, "Cute. See you in a sec. I'm hungry. Let's get some lunch. You know it would be nice to make a sandwich and eat down by the lake." They liked her already. Rob hoped that he and Brian would not spoil the weekend.
It was peaceful with sun glinting off a calm lake. The fresh smell of spring was in the air, far from the city and the noise and smells. Conversation between Rob, Graham and Julie was light and refreshing, like the day. Rob noticed that Brian was sitting back almost in his own little world. Even funny comments by Julie to him did not seem to drag him back.
They had just finished when two cars crunched into the gravel parking area. Everyone had arrived. Rob and Graham stood up and started to walk up to the cars. Susan and Don got out looking as if they were refreshed already. They waved at each other. Kids poured out of the other car. They were excited and the minute they saw Rob they ran helter skelter towards him. Big hugs and kisses. They looked at Graham and said that he must be Uncle Rob's friend. Ah, they way had been paved.
"Hi guys, I'm Graham. Who are you? You look like you have escaped from your parents." He whispered conspiratorially. "Do you have names?"
A young boy of 10 or so piped up, "I'm John."
"And I'm Melissa." That came from a pretty young girl, a couple of years younger."
"Now let me see. I need special names for you both. John. No, how about Jack?" A shake of the head no. "Jake?"
"Some of my friends call me Jakey."
"Well, we are going to be friends, Jakey! Let's do it right. Shake." Proudly, Jakey extended his hand and they shook.
Then looking at Melissa, "How about Mel." A shake of the head no. "Lisa?" Nope. "Issy?" A big smile.
"Issy we could shake hands but from you, I would like a big hug." And he got one. "Who are those strangers staring at us."
Issy, "Oh silly, they are Mom and Dad who we escaped from." She gave him a secret smile.
Introductions were made to Jane and Richard who were smiling broadly at the exchange they had seen with their children.
Graham looked around and saw Julie and Brain coming up the laneway. "Hey, Jakey, Issy, go run and get your Uncle Brian and his friend. Give them a special welcome." Brian looked up as he heard what was said. The two kids went running full tilt to greet the two. It was the first time he had seen Brian smile and look engaged.
There were introductions all around and bags and groceries by the 100 weight were carried into the cottage. Rob and Graham started making sandwiches for the entire group. "Hey, Jakey what kind of sandwiches do you and Issy like? Do you like smoked meat? It is not yucky. Tell you what; I'll make you one and you can try it and I'll also make one of your choice. You've got it." By the time everyone was sorted, lunch was on the table. Rob and Graham got a big smile of thanks from Susan and Jane. John reported that he liked smoked meat. Issy was not so sure. The afternoon saw games on the lawn, some ball hockey with adults and children.
Finally, just time apart as everyone rested before supper. Rob and Graham had volunteered to help but Jane and Susan said that it was preprepared and not to worry. Graham noticed that Brain had disappeared. As they were getting ready to go in to eat, Brian appeared and walked by him quickly. Graham at first wondered what the smell was and then it came to him from memories of University. Was it from Brian? He would have to watch.
After supper everyone was sitting and talking. Finally, Graham spoke up, "Issy, Jakey, I think that you need to be beaten at some board games." Rob sat looking at this new Graham sprawled on the floor laughing, challenging and having fun with the kids. He could see that this was not an act; he was enjoying the kids and they were delighted. When it was time to stop and get ready for bed. He heard, Jakey quietly ask, "Can we have a special name for you." Graham nodded yes. "We want to call you Uncle Gray." Graham's smile was wide and soft. Jakey continued, "We need to shake on that." The three did.
"I'd like to read you a story that I liked when I was your age. I saw a copy here." The three went off and Rob could hear a really good reading of the story, filled with inflections for emphasis, danger and silliness. He heard two voices say goodnight Uncle Gray. As Jane passed Rob on her way to say goodnight, she looked at Rob and said that he was a keeper. Rob said that he had every intention.
There was general chit chat that evening from the adults. When time came for bed, there were no comments about sleeping arrangements. Graham was right. His lusty lover did find ways that evening to express his feelings for his lover. As they settled into bed naked, Rob leaned over and gave Graham a kiss to remember. They were instantly hard. Rob put his fingers to Graham's mouth, the signal for silence. He then licked his body from chest to thighs and then to balls. He had Graham squirming when he took the head in his mouth. His tongue circled it time and time again and then, it was in the slit, tasting the wonderful liquid. Then his mouth enclosed the head; he let his mouth caress the head. Finally, he started with suction. Graham was almost frantic with sensations. There were little gurgles from Grahams throat, trying desperately to be silent.
Graham pushed Rob off him and shook his fingers and whispered, "Too close." He decided that he would start with kisses and then he turned him over and licked his way to his ass. There were bites and licks and finally probing with his tongue up the crack and at his entrance, tasting the soap from his shower and his natural musky taste. Graham put lube on both of them and then had Rob turn on his side and entered him from the side and behind. He then did one of his favourite things. He slowly made love while he stroked his lover to climax. They stopped once to quieten down and to kiss passionately. When they started again, Rob used his hands to stroke, pull hair, anything to touch and excite his lover. Graham recognized the increasing urgency for what it was and he sped up. Rob's climax and contractions helped finish him off and Graham exploded into him. Graham had managed to capture most of Rob's semen and he ate and licked it off his hands. He turned Rob onto his back and lay on top of him kissing and sharing.
Rob whispering very quietly, "Jane told me you were a keeper. I told her I intended to do just that."
"Sweetheart, this just is the wonderful finish to a wonderful day. Thank you so much for your love."
They cuddled and fell asleep.
As agreed, the two were up the next morning and when everyone got up, breakfast of pancakes and bacon were ready with a good strong coffee for the adults. Breakfast was raucous and fun with plans being made for the day.
"Big guy, you told me that you have tradition at your cottage for this weekend. Spill. What is it?" That stopped the conversation.
"If the day is warm and sunny, those who want, jump in the lake for the first swim of the season." There were cries of liar! Are you crazy? It is too cold. The ice just left in April. Graham just shrugged. "Your lake is the same as ours. I'll see anyone interested at the shore at 3:00." The challenge had been given.
They all looked at Rob. "I can tell from the stupid, smug look that he is serious." Graham rushed Rob and while putting him a headlock, muttered, "Stupid, smug. We'll see!" He held him like that as he knuckled his head. There was cheers and laughter. Don looked on with surprise and admiration. Brian saw it all and had a look that anyone seeing it would not have been able to fathom.
There were games, time alone. Just before lunch Brian emerged from the woods and walked close by Graham, saying nothing. The smell was really strong. On a spur of the moment, Graham got up and followed Brian. Brian stopped at the foot of the stairs. Graham got close.
Brian looked at him, "What?"
"First thing, if I were you I would change the shirt and wash it. The smell is very strong." He held up his hands. "I have a better idea for right now. Let's go for a walk and talk." He looked intently at Brian. "This is just between you and me. Don't try to waffle with me. This is the third time I have smelled it. I'm not going to out you. But I do want to talk." Brian seemed about to go on the offensive. "Brian, I'm a lawyer, don't try the good offence is a good defence, with me. I'm an expert with it."
Brian's eyes burned brightly and then faded under Graham's practised, dispassionate, intense stare. As they walked up the lane. Graham simply told him he had seen the stares at him and Rob. The almost lethargic non attendance in family conversations. And the smell. Something was wrong. Did he want to spill it, man to man and with a promise of confidentiality.
Brian looked as if he was torn between hiding and sharing. "It's my university courses. I hate the program I am in. Dad will be so upset with me. I have wasted a lot of his money. You and Robert seem so with it. Robert has had the guts to come out and stick to his principles and now, the one thing that I thought I had is gone; I wasn't gay and had Dad's approval for that. Negative, stupid, right?" He gave a defeated chuckle. "Dad has accepted you and Robert together. Weed just makes me forget for a while and feel good."
"Brian, I am here to help. I do not intend at this point to say anything to Rob."
"At this point?"
"I am going to tell you a story." He told him about his decision last year to come out of the closet. He realized that he had to make choices. He elaborated. "Brian right now you are on the worst course. If you fail and end up using, where will you be in you Dad's estimation? You might as well come clean about your studies and start again where you want to be. I guarantee that if you approach Rob, he would help you with your Dad. You have no idea how he would like to have a different relationship with you. He would relish helping you find a way out. He is smart and very devious." That got the first smile. "You should have heard how he handled your Dad the first time I met him. Direct, no bull but with compassion. OK, enough for now. We are going to talk later today about strategy with Rob and Dad. Now, back to change the shirt and wash it. This is not a threat but please don't use again this weekend for your own sake. Try and enjoy this wonderful weekend. Julie is a great girl."
Graham turned them around and they started to walk back in silence, no longer hostile. Before they could see the cottage, Brian stopped and said thanks and shook Graham's hand. Graham reiterated that this between the two of them.
They had lunch and after, he played horseshoes with Richard, Jakey and Issy. Lots of laughter. He looked at his watch; it was 2:30. He announed that he had to go and change into his bathing suit. They stared at him.
As he went into the cottage, he yelled out the time, outside and inside in a loud voice. He heard muttered comments, crazy, he meant it, he isn't just having us on. He emerged with his bathing suit on. "See you at the beach." He took a soft drink with him and sat on the beach until exactly 3. He got up and looked back towards the cottage.
He smiled when he saw Jane, Richard and kids, Rob, Julie approaching and coming out of the cottage, Brian. He established the rules. No one had to go in if they didn't want. He warned that if they immersed themselves that it would almost take their breath away. Don't try to swim too much as they could get cramps. Just getting wet counted for the first swim of the year.
He turned, walked into the water and with no hesitation, jumped in with just his neck and head out of the water. He just yelled, "Holy doddle." Then he started to flail his arms and body trying to keep from freezing. Brian and Rob looked at other, smiled, shrugged and followed him. There were yells of pain. Yells of support and laughter from the parents and those on the beach. Next were Julie and Richard. Jane followed quickly. She yelled like a Viking going into battle, and leaped up immediately wet from head to toes and came out sputtering gibberish. Both Jakey and Issy, ducked under and ran out screaming to the towels of their grandparents.
Graham rushed out and grabbed both the kids in their towels, congratulating them on winning the prize for the best dunks and their first swim of the year. He gave each a huge hug. The others staggered out jabbering with excitement like a bunch of kids. Rob came up to him. Graham could not help himself. He put an arm around his shoulders and whispered, "I bet you are shrivelled to half your size. You may be useless for days." Rob just broke down sputtering and laughing. But it did help revive his circulation. A new tradition had been established at the McLeod cottage.
The rest of weekend was just as good with adult card games on Sunday night. Lots of bravado and insults were traded. Graham and Brian had a short session about approaching Rob. He saw the two of them talking quietly together in the morning. Time came for goodbyes. Jakey and Issy gave everyone a tearful goodbye but they saved a few private words for Uncle Gray and Uncle Robert. Susan gave Graham a big smile and kiss and Don told them to not be strangers. Brian looked at them and said that he would see them next weekend. Julie said that she was looking forward to it too. Graham managed to keep any surprise out of his voice or face.
In the car on the way out. He looked at Rob and simply said, "And ?"
"You told me I could make up my mind this weekend. Brian and I had a little chat. I saw you talking to him a couple of times. What were you talking about? Did you have anything to do with him talking to me?"
"What did we talk about? Oh, University, life, choices."
"I felt normal, part of the family for the first time in a long time. You are a big part of that. I can never repay you."
"You have and you do every day." To change the subject quickly, "I noticed that the swim's effects didn't dampen your performance last night. I can still feel you in me." Rob just started to laugh and shake his head. He leaned over and kissed the side of his face.
The next weekend was all that they had hoped for. Andy and Brain hit it off immediately as did Julie and Mandy. They had a wonderful evening when Graham's parents came for supper and cards. Rob and Brian arranged for a weekend when Robert would be home and they would approach their father. There was some good news; Brian had not failed any courses but his marks were not what they could have been. Graham would like to be the fly on the wall for that family reunion but it was agreed that he would go his parents and come for supper on his way back to the city. The nights at the cottage were very restrained for the three couples due to the lack of ceilings and thick doors. Each must have figured a way as there seemed to be six, happy, contented people who left the cottage on Sunday afternoon. Graham got a big manly hug from Brian when he left.
On the second weekend of June, Graham went to his parents and Robert to his to meet Brian. On the drive to their respective homes, both reflected that this was the first weekend apart since New Years. Their relationship had grown slowly and neither felt crowded or hemmed in. Graham in particular recognized how lucky his decision to come out was. Robert realized what he had been missing in not having someone like Graham to ground him and centre him in the best way. Both enjoyed their weekend apart because they knew that they would be back together on Sunday.
When Graham arrived at the McLeod home on Sunday, Susan opened the door with a huge smile and welcome kiss. When Don heard his arrival, he came to the door.
"Is this the third member of the cabal who has come to tame me." Before Graham could even formulate a reply which actually wasn't coming because his mind was scrambled, Don broke into a huge smile, grabbed him in a bear hug. "I am not sure how but I think that you have had something to do with this. I have my boys back together and Brian is brimming with ideas for his work with me this summer and his new courses next year." That was all he said but the hug and the banter meant more to Graham than anything else could. Supper, this time, was a delight from start to finish.
As they left, Brian came up to him. "Graham, I have never been given such good advice in such a good manner." With a wry smile, in a whisper, "I flushed anything I had the week after the 24th weekend. I feel on top of the world." He gave him a hug.
Rob heard some of the remarks and came and put his arm around Graham's shoulders and pulled him close and held him there. Nothing was said but doing that, in this house, said even more. They were accepted for who they were.
That night when they entered the condo. Rob put their luggage down and pulled Graham into a full body hug. "I missed you this weekend. My consolation was that I knew I would have you, here, now. Did I ever get you right, many months ago at the club: looks younger than he is and when it comes down to it, a spine of steel. Brian told me what you did and said at the cottage. I am impressed and so thankful. I think that Dad thinks that you walk on water. Mom told me that she has three sons now." He paused, "My love."
The kiss started softly. Rob was gently moving his hands through his hair, and gently over his neck and back. Graham responded to what he recognized as a very special, intimate moment between two people. Robert broke the embrace and held Graham at arm's length, admiring this person who had grown so special to him. If this was love then he was in love with this man. He repeated his thoughts out loud. Then he kissed the moisture forming in Graham's eyes away. With arms around each other, they turned the lights out as they moved slowly to the bedroom. They had a long, passionate shower together. They touched and caressed each other as they washed.
"Graham, I am beginning to understand the connection between mental and physical intimacy. He held Graham's body in front of him. He could see the dimmed light glowing on his chest, well defined and with hair that he loved. He marvelled at the trail that led to a wonderful erect cock. He knew that it would feel hard but silken when he had it in his mouth. It very soon was in his mouth. In very few moments, he had Graham moaning and massaging his shoulders as he sucked him and stoked him with his hands, his tongue and his lips. Graham almost shouted when Rob took him all the way and massaged his iron hard erection with pressure from his mouth and tongue.
Graham made Rob kneel between his legs. He found the lube and and applied it to Rob's very hard inflamed cock and some on his own fingers. He started to slowly stroke him with his hand while he found his prostate with his finger and slowly stroked it. Head back, eyes closed, mouth partly open, Rob looked as if he was in another place. When Graham stopped and pulled his legs up to his chest, Rob leaned over and started to passionately kiss him. By instinct, he found his opening and slowly went in until he could go no farther. He lay on top of him not moving except to kiss his body and then his lips.
"Big guy, little did I know what was going to happen to my life when I saw you at the club and insolently asked you to dance. Your invitation to coffee has changed my life in so many ways. We have gone slowly over this year until I feel totally committed."
Rob kissed him again as he slowly started to move in and out, truly making love to him. Graham was moving his hands over his back and then on his ass setting the pace. Graham managed to get his hands between them so that he could stroke him as he went in and out and then managed to get his hands down and fondle his balls. Rob was making little incoherent noises in his throat. They rested several times to quiet their response. Finally, Graham set the pace and he could feel Rob reacting. Finally, Rob passed the point of no return and he set his own rhythm and pace until he muttered his love and came in waves of passion that swept through his body.
Rob came out and put lube on Graham and in himself and sat on Graham's almost purple cock. As he sank down, Graham tensed and moaned. He had never been so stiff and large. Every movement sent waves of pleasure through him. There was no stopping this time. Rob was moving up and down and Graham was matching each move with his own thrusts. In minutes, he was shouting as his orgasm slammed through his body. When Rob finally, lifted himself off there was an outpouring from Rob's body. By the time they separated they were sticky and almost glued together. They looked at each other and nodded and said together, "Messy and wonderful".
Graham looked lovingly at Rob, "Let's not bother showering now. I know what you will want tomorrow morning and we shall clean up after." They chuckled and that is exactly what happened.
The summer passed too swiftly with family and friends; the days at the cottage with Jakey and Issy, just moments to treasure. Discussions about the size of the condo led to a search and purchase of a bigger one with two bedrooms and an area for computers in the Autumn. The surprise was that Don McLeod volunteered a loan at low interest and gave them a substantial amount towards the purchase. He simply said that business had been good and he had paid for most of Brian's education while Rob had paid for himself. Their wills were revised to meet their increasing closeness.
After a passionate evening of love making in that week when they had met, the year before, Graham leaned up on his elbow looking at Rob in the after glow, "I want to be doing this 30 years from now."
Rob smiled and nodded yes and added, "With you." They smiled gently at each other and their wish did in fact come true.
