To those who've been reading Tales of Sol. I want you to know that while there is sex in this story. That is not is sole purpose and yes I do hope the sex scenes make you all hard and gets you off.
Sol is an adaption from my childhood favorite show Captain Planet and the Planeteers, The cartoon showed us that the world can be a better place if we took a few moments to care for it.
Tales of Sol is meant to express hope.
It also shows how music can have an impact in our lives. While I don't know if my favorite bands 98 Degrees, Backstreet Boys or Nsync have ever read this. They saw me through some of the hardest moments of my life and offered in their own way hope. To them, I say thank you.
I dedicate the Tales of Sol to all of my brothers and sisters of the US Armed Service past, present, and future.
I like to thank my friends whom I had the privilege of showing these chapters with. They helped with editing and inspiration,
John Rivera, Albert-Russ Alan Rivera-Odum, Derbe.D. Hunte Yvette Ortiz Samuel Diaz Jr for all their help in Making The Tales of Sol an enjoyable story to write.
And I have a few other names starting with the beginner of this universe.
James the author of Tales of a Real Dark Knight. I still hope to reconnect with you dear friend and all the rest of this series.
Blake the author of Tales of a New Phoenix
Jeremi author of the Tales of Young Mutants
The Tales of Sol 68 Hope Island
The Ecocopter came to rest on the sandy beach of Hope Island. As we exited I could see the effects of the energy drain. All of the palm trees on Hope Island were drooping; there was a strange sickening feeling to Hope Island; it just didn't feel the same. Of course, the whole planet felt weird thanks to the power drain.
"Gaia!" I called out when she didn't appear. We began searching the island. Both Dana and I would call out for the Spirit of the Earth.
We made our way to the main hut where the crystal chamber was housed.
The first thing that caught my attention was seeing the aged form of Gaia lying face down on the hut's wooden floors.
"Gaia! No!" I cried as I ran to her, kneeling down and scooping her up off the floor. I pulled her close to me, hugging her in remorse as the culmination of my failures were all summed up in her frail lifeless form.
Letting go of my death hold on Gaia, her head rolled as I lowered her just so I could look into her, I brushed her white hair revealing her withered face, "Gaia?" I whispered not getting any kind of response from the Spirit of the Earth.
Her once radiant skin was now ghostly white, her black hair was now silvery gray and her eyes were closed. Holding her in my arms "I am so sorry it took me this long to come here," I told her.
"I've failed you," I cried bringing her into another hug
"I should have come here when this shit first started," I scolded myself
I felt the tears running down my face and for the first time since I started my search I felt hopeless. without the Spirit of the Earth we had no other hope.
"Mike?" I heard Razeel I could hear the despair in her voice
"I am sorry Razeel I had hoped that Gaia was still able to help us," I cried
A breeze filled the Crystal Chambers. I felt it sweep away my tears, "Fear not," it seemed to say and in it, a message was placed. I could hear something almost like a song mixed in the wind.
"Many nights we prayed, with no proof anyone could hear
In our hearts a hopeful song, we barely understood
Now we are not afraid, although we know there's much to fear
We were moving mountains long, before we knew we could"
So fixated on Gaia that I ignored what was on Planetvision. The last thing Gaia was watching was still going. I gently put Gaia back on the wooden floors and went over to Planetvision it was showing me what we desperately needed. On the crystal surface was a mansion. More importantly, it was the figure who was surrounded by Kailiff demons and Bringers. Standing at the steps is a man in a long dark robe. His hands were stretched skyward and white lights were entering his palms. He was laughing evilly. Seeing the Kailiffs and Bringers with this bastard answered another unanswered question. From those Kaliffs attacks back in New York to the Bringers that had attacked that Vampire Slayer Isabelle it was all now coming together.
The breeze became a full-blast gust of wind and it filled the Crystal Chambers and so did the song, gently I placed Gaia back on the hut's wooden floors, got back onto my feet, and approached Planetvision.
The hosts of Heaven had descended upon Hope Island.
"There can be miracles, when you believe
Though hope is frail, it's hard to kill
Who knows what miracle, you can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe."
"Razeel, do you remember Isabelle?" I pondered
Razeel had joined me at Planetvision and was also looking at the screen and I could feel hope resurface.
Razeel said, "Those Bringers that were chasing her"
"Well they along with the Kaliffs had also attacked me in New York," I informed the slayer
Giving me a withered expression, "You are telling me this now?"
"What is important is during one of those fights one of the Kaliffs said the master wanted me dead,"
"In this time of fear, when prayer so often proves in vain
Hope seems like the summer birds, too swiftly flown away
Yet now I'm standing here, my heart so full I can't explain
Seeking faith and speaking words, I'd never thought I'd say"
As the wind got stronger it was filled with hope, love, and joy. I heard a voice in my head, "Don't forget about me, Mike Pennock you are my Guardian,"
I felt the present and for the first time in days, I had a good feeling.
Bowing my head in both shame and forgiveness, "Forgive me, Father," I said God had come down to aid us.
The breeze passed through us and I knew I had forgotten him.
"You are my hand and vengeance is mine," I heard him say to me
"I created the Earth and her children, Nexus, and what I create will endure," He commanded
The song went on,
"There can be miracles, When you believe
Though hope is frail, It's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles, You can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe"
I stared at the screen and a smile crept up my lips as I now knew what was going on and how we were going to save everyone. The key was the man in the middle of those demons,
"That is the man not only behind the power drain but the one who sent those demons after me and Isabelle,"
"Meet Count Mollack, he is a very powerful wizard centuries old," I spoke in amazement. My hand flew over the controls bringing up all of Mollack's information.
"Did you say Count Mollack?" Dana gasped as she did a double take and looked back at Planetvision
Razeel cursed, "I will be damn it is that crazy bastard!"
I looked at my Slayer friend, "I take it the name means something to you," it was a statement
Razeel growled, "We do indeed have a history with Count Mullack,"
"But how do you know his name?" Razeel asked
"You mean besides it being splashed across Planetvision?" I pointed at the name,
After seeing the Count's name in big bold letters on Planetvision, Razeel redden slightly "Yes besides that,"
"I might not have my direct connections to Earth at the moment," I answered as I continued working the controls on Planetvision even more details on Count Mollack dating back to the 6th Century. "However, Planetvison and the Crystal Chambers can still put information into my mind," I answered the only thing missing from Planetvision was Mollack's actual address. I sent this image and all the information Planetvision had to the Ecocopter so I could send it to the Lair to see if we could find him another way.
Planetvision gave us a very brief summary of what Count Mullack's connection to the Earth and Gaia were: time was short so we saw Gaia getting into a confrontation with the wizard and beating him. it also sent into my mind the full account and I knew now what was at stake.
"It is now all making sense the worst part is so do the attacks on me before all of this," I regrettably confessed
Razeel turned a pondering gaze on me prompting me to continue, "Count Mullack it seems is the one who most likely sent those Bringers and Kailiffs after me to keep me from interfering in his little scheme. I don't know if he underestimated my powers but he made sure I could not use them"
Razeel nodded, "There would have been no way to piece it together when you don't even know the reasons behind those attacks,"
"Sad but true especially since Bringers usually work for the First," I agreed
"We will discuss this in greater detail after we take care of this bastard," Razeel reassured
Then Razeel smiled victoriously though she did have one more question, "Do we know where he lives?"
"No," I said as I hit several crystals, sending even more information directly to the Lair.
Pulling on Razeel's shoulder and directing her back outside "But we are going to find out," I said as we bolted for the Ecocopter.
"How?" Dana asked
"We gotta get back to the Lair," I stated,
We climbed back into the Ecocopter and were soon airborne for a short time. I had one small monitor with an image of Count Mullack and his minions.
We flew back to the Lair as fast as the ecocopter could take us. The closer we got the better I felt. In my mind, I felt Sol cheering for joy.
I knew we were going to win, we were going to save the Earth and her children, and I was going to save the Backstreet Boys, I will save Krystal, I will save Brian!
"There can be miracles, When you believe
Though hope is frail, It's hard to kill
Who knows what miracles, You can achieve
When you believe, somehow you will
You will when you believe"
And this is where I end this chapter. I hope you all enjoy this as much as I do writing it. The adventure goes on.
