Ok everyone, I have a grievance I need to air.
This may be the last installment of this story that I post. I got into an argument with a fellow Nifty author this week and was told that this story sucks and that no one is going to get into it. That my writing is horrid and that it is worthless to read. I'm not going to mention any names but you know who you are if your reading this.
This is my first story with Nifty. I am enjoying writing it but if it is really that bad I will stop. I would like some feedback as to if I should continue writing this or just let the story end where it is. I was very hurt and discouraged by this argument, and that a fellow Nifty author could be so low. Personally I don't care if they don't like me as a person, but I take my writing very seriously. Ok enough said.

NOW ON WITH THE SHOW!!!
THAT DAY
By ShyWriterBoy
Chapter 3 I folded the note and held it to my chest. I could not believe that he thought to come back to check on me. Could this mean anything? I quickly dismissed that thought. How could a rich and famous pop star, be interested in someone like me? I'm just your average Joe who works a thankless job, 40+ hours a week, and sometimes struggles to make it through a week with out worrying where money is going to come from to pay bills. Sure I have dreams and goals but I have always thought that those only come true for special people. Only the lucky get to live out their wildest fantasies.
Please don't get me wrong, I'm really not pathetic or spend enormous amounts of time feeling sorry for myself. I am a very positive person who has a good life, good job and wonderful friends. It is just hard sometimes and my life especially has dealt me a very harsh reality check more times than one and so I try to not let my head get too far in the clouds and stay as grounded as possible. I am focused on making the best of what god has given me and so far it has worked. However, every now and then are those things that throw a wrench into my little system, and more than not, they are good things. I just say "Wow" a few hundred times, take it all in and go on with life, but I have been thrown some hard times and again, life goes on. This time however, life has thrown me the biggest wrench of them all, so to speak, and his name is Lance.
As I lay there pondering my life, I did not see Sylvia come into the room.
"Good morning baby-boy, how's your head?"
I nearly wet my pants she scared me so bad. "My head is fine, but now I need a crash cart for the heart failure I just had. You scared the shit out of me."
"I'm sorry honey." Sylvia said giggling. "I didn't mean to startle you. I thought you heard me come in."
"No I didn't, I was off in my own little world thinking bout some stuff." I said with a sigh.
"Anything you want to talk about?" She asked as she sat down on the bed next to me.
"I don't know. I'm just really confused about some things."
"This is about that blonde guy, Lance, isn't it?" She said with a sly grin.
It amazes me how she can do that. How she can come in a room and seem to read my thoughts and know exactly what is wrong. It is probably the most endearing thing about her, why I love her so much and consider her a mother figure in my life.
"How do you do that?" I ask her. "How do you know exactly what's going on before I can even say anything?"
"Just call it my motherly intuition." She said, grabbing my hand. "Now tell momma what's got you all bunched up inside."
"He came back last night while I was sleeping to check on me. Why would he do that?" I asked, confused.
"Maybe he was concerned about what happened and that you would be ok. I don't think it is anything to worry about, but if I know you, you have probably went through this whole thing in your head about a million times by now and have come up with every scenario under the sun trying to figure this out." She said shaking her head.
"Yep, you are right." I said with a look of amazement which quickly turned to worry "They are going to take me out to dinner tonight and are giving me tickets and backstage passes to their concert on Thursday. I'm completely freaking out about it. Are there reasons behind it? Am I going to be able to go and have a good time and not come off looking like an idiot? Am I going to be able to be around Lance and not look like some loved starved maniac and drool all over him?"
With that last comment I started blushing bright red. I can't believe that I said that and, yes, it was another open mouth insert foot moment.
"Cody Thomas Walker, are you developing a crush on Mr. Lance?" She had a huge grin on her face and her voice was dripping with sarcasm.
"Maybe just a little," I said sheepishly. That garnered an "I don't believe you" look from Sylvia and I knew I had been caught.
"Ok A LOT." I said, finally breaking. "I don't know what it is Syl. When I first came to yesterday, and I saw his face above me with the light shining behind him, I really did think I had died and gone to heaven. I thought he was a beautiful angel sent to rescue me. I can't explain it. My heart beats so fast when I'm around him. He amazes me with his beauty and self- confidence. I am constantly thinking about him. I close my eyes and he is there, I dream and he is there, when I went to my beautiful place, it was all based on him."
"Your beautiful place?" She asked looking confused.
"When I was in so much pain yesterday with my headache, before he left, he told me to find my own personal Beautiful Place and take myself there. Someplace that was safe, secure and made me feel happy. He told me to concentrate on that place and that would help dull the pain of the headache. I tried it and it worked, but the thing is, that whole place I found revolved around him. Good Lord, I sound like a psychopath don't I?"
I was so worked up and confused by that point that I was on the verge of tears. I hate it when life does this to me. I am the type that likes to be in control of my own personal feelings at all times. It really sucks when they get all out of whack and I have a hard time sorting them out.
Sylvia, already sensing the place I was in, began to lovingly stroke my hand she was holding. "First of all, you're worrying about things that you should not be worrying about, honey. I will admit, you got it bad for him, but that is OK. We all go through this. Love does funny things to people and makes our emotions go haywire. My advice to you is to stop stressing out and just go with the flow. Everything will pan out and make sense in time, so don't try and rush things. There is a reason you met those two yesterday. You may not understand that reason right now, but you will eventually. Just let life take its course and you will be fine."
That is why I love her so much. With those few simple words I was completely calm and it all made sense. I felt so much better and was ready to stop worrying and let whatever happens tonight happen.
I leaned up from where I was laying and gave Sylvia a kiss on the cheek.
"What was that for?" She asked me.
"Because you are amazing and I love you with all my heart."
"Stop it." She said blushing. "You know I look at you as one of my own and would do anything for you. I'm here for you whenever you need me, don't you ever forget that."
"I won't Momma." I said as a tear of happiness made its way down my cheek.
"Now dry your eyes and get ready. Dr. Edwards will be here momentarily to do his final work up and he will probably let you go home. I want you to go straight home, clean up and relax. You have a big night ahead of you and you WILL call me when you get home and let me know how it went, you understand me?" She said smiling.
"You got it my dear." I replied.
With that she got up, kissed me on the forehead and left to go about her nursing duties. I lay there for a few minutes taking in what she told me. I knew that today was going to be ok and that life would not give me more than I could handle. I was ready to face it and go have a good time.
About 20 minutes later Dr. Edwards came in. He looked over my chart, did a thorough check up and gave me a clean bill of health. He told me basically the same thing that Sylvia had told me, which was to go home and relax and he would see me back here, ready to work, on Monday. It was Wednesday now and so that means I had 5 days before I had to return to work. It was going to be a nice relaxing 5 days.
I got up and got dressed and went to sign my release papers. As I was walking down the hall I noticed Gina coming out of a patient's room further down the hall. It took her about 30 seconds to notice me coming. At first she got a big grin on her face, but that grin slowly sank into disdain and she looked in a different direction.
As I passed her I smiled and nodded at her. She only could shoot me a look that if looks could kill, I would have fell to the ground dead on the spot. I wasn't worried though. I had 5 days away from the hospital, away from patients and away from her.
I reached the nurses station and an awaiting Sylvia who had my papers and everything ready for me to sign.
"You ready to bust out of this joint?" she ask me as I came to the desk.
"You bet your sweet ass I am." I chuckled.
"Hey now, save that kind of talk for your little Lancey- pooh." She made little kissey noises while pouting her lips.
"SYLVIA!" I gasped, turning about 50 shades of red.
She started laughing so hard she was crying. I just stood there in awe. I quickly scanned the area around the desk to make sure no one saw this little charade.
When she finally calmed down she was able to get out, "Oh Cody, seeing you embarrassed like that keeps me young. I love you and you know that."
"Well being the butt end of all this is giving me grey hair!" I smiled at her, "Where are these papers I need to sign. There is a nice hot bath and a glass of wine waiting for me at my house."
"Sign right here baby-boy." She said pointing to the signature lines on 3 pieces of paper.
I signed them gave Sylvia a quick hug and I was out of there. I walked out the door and into the employee parking lot to retrieve my car. I got in the car, got myself situated and started her up. Before I pulled out of the lot I decided I better plug my phone in as the battery had died during the night because I had nowhere to plug it in. With that done I headed home.
I live on the East side of Dallas in a cute little one bedroom condo. It's nothing extravagant, but its home. It is part of a modest little complex and I get a good deal on the rent. It's the ideal home for someone in my line of work. It is just me in the house, I live10 min away from work and it's was quiet for those days when I'm fed up with people and want to get away.
I pulled into my parking stall and turned off the car. Made my way into the house and noticed that my message machine was blinking. Tossing my keys on the coffee table I went to play my new messages. They were nothing of high importance; A couple bill collectors asking for money, some from my friends who were wondering where I was and one from my parents keeping me updated on family business and also wondering where I had disappeared to. I knew that I would have some explaining to do but I decided to tackle that one later. Right now all I wanted to do was relax in a nice warm bath with a nice glass of wine. Just soak away the events of last night and get ready for tonight's festivities.
I went into my room, kicked off my shoes and socks and headed for the bathroom. I turned on the faucet, found the right temperature and let the tub fill up. While the tub was filling I went into the Kitchen, got a wine glass and poured me a glass of Red wine. I went into the living room and grabbed my handset for my house phone as well as my cell phone and went back to the bathroom. When I got there, I put both phones and the wine down next to the tub and stripped off the rest of my clothes. I noticed my reflection in the mirror and smiled. I was proud of my physique. I tried to keep myself nice and toned and I was looking good, I had to admit.
The tub had finished filling so I turned the water off and climbed inside. The water felt heavenly on my body. I could feel the stress I had felt all day just dissipate out of my pours. I grabbed the glass of wine and took a sip; it was magical, just what I needed. I set the wine down, laid my head back and closed my eyes. I drifted off into Never Never land. I have no idea how long I was gone, when my cell phone started ringing. I opened my eyes and gazed at the caller ID. It was a number that I did not recognize. Hesitantly I picked up the phone and answered, "Hello??" "Is Cody there?" The voice said.
"This is he."
"Hey Cody, this is Lance." He said with that sexy as hell voice.
Immediately I sat right up, for some unknown reason, and got completely nervous. I tried to remember what Sylvia had said to me earlier about letting life take its course and going with the flow, but I just could not help thinking where I was at this particular moment in time. Here I am, naked in my bathtub, talking to the cutest man that ever existed. His voice had started my heart beating again and certain parts of my anatomy were growing rapidly, which was adding more stress to the situation. I composed myself as best I could and replied, "Oh, Hey
Lance. How are you?"
"I'm good." He replied. "Whatcha doin?"
"Oh, just relaxing." I said, adjusting myself, literally.
"Was that water I heard? Are you in the bath?"
"Ummm," Oh my god I'm embarrassed, "Yeah I kind of am."
"Well I ah," he started stuttering, "I did not mean to interrupt you. I was just calling with the dinner arrangements for tonight. I can call back if you want me to."
I smiled when I heard him start stuttering. The big pop star is stuttering on my behalf, that's so cute, but why? Oh My God Stop it Cody, I thought to myself. I decided to ease his mind a little. "No it's ok, I can talk now, I don't mind. What's the plan with tonight?" "Well we have reservations at a French Restaurant in town at 6 o'clock. You like French Food don't you?" He asked still sounding very nervous.
"That sounds great to me. Are you coming here to get me or I can meet you at your hotel?"
"Well Josh and Joey are out on band business and wont be back till bout 5ish so we wont have time to come out there and get you. Can you meet us here at the hotel?"
"That is not a problem at all." I replied.
He gave me directions to the hotel, which was not too far from where I lived. He told me to go to the front desk and let them know I was guest of N'Sync and the clerk will give me the things I need. "I will let them know that you are to be given access to this floor and they will have a pass for you to wear. Make sure it is visible, that way security knows that you are welcome any time. Josh and I are in room 2058, so just come on up and knock on the door when you get here."
"That sounds good to me," I said with a smile. "What time would you like me there again?"
"I think about 5ish." Lance replied.
"You got it. Do I need to bring anything?"
"Nope, just you and your appetite." He said excitedly. "Tonight is going to be fun, I'm glad your going to be hanging out with us."
That did not help my "Growing" problem at all. He is so adorable and I could just picture his face when he made that last comment.
"Well Lance, I'm going to let you go so I can take care of some things," as I glanced down to my growing member, "and I will talk at you later."
"Ok sounds good." He replied. "We'll see you tonight! Bye."
"Bye."
We hung up the phone and leaned back in the tub. Closing my eyes I pictured his angelic face, and I could still hear his sexy voice in my ears. I reached down and wrapped my hand around my erect cock. I slowly started to stroke it, all the while thinking of Lance. The more I thought about him the more my heart beat and the faster I would stroke. It did not take long before I was erupting my load all over my chest and face. I lay there, breathing heavy and taking in the feeling of ecstasy. I could not believe the power that man had over my body and my emotions. I didn't quite understand it, but boy was I loving it.
I washed my face and my chest off and finished with my bath. I got out, dried off and headed to my room. After getting dressed I kind of milled around the house the next few hours till it was time to get ready to go to dinner. It was relaxing to just be home and lounge around.
Finally at about 3:30 I started getting ready. I went to my room and picked out my best pair of Lucky Jeans and a tight blue Dolce & Gabana shirt. It showed off my body quite well. I was shameless I know, but if I'm going out with pop stars, I have to be able to compete. I put on some shoes and headed into the bathroom. I think I spend most of my time in here. I take great pride in my hair and skin so I was very tedious in looking just perfect.
Finally I was done. I glanced at the clock and it said 4:15. I was making perfect time. I splashed on some cologne, grabbed my keys and I was out the door. As I drove towards the hotel I started getting very nervous again. Do I really know what I'm doing? Could this be a mistake? Is this night going to end up disastrous?
You know those cartoons where you see the main character with a little devil on one shoulder and an angel on the other. That is how I felt at that moment. My little devil was the one telling me these things, causing me to doubt myself and what I was about to do. Finally my voice of reason piped up and reminded me of what Sylvia said earlier that morning. Just go with the flow and let things come naturally, I said to myself. Whatever is going to happen will happen for a reason so there is no use stressing out about it now.
After awhile that thought started sinking in. I began to calm down and decided to turn on the radio to help relax me some more. I tuned to my favorite station and low and behold the familiar tune of "This I Promise You" was coming out of my speakers. It was a sign; it had to be a sign. After that I was fine and after about 20-25 minutes I was pulling into the hotel parking lot.
I parked my car, went inside and headed to the front desk. A very pretty girl was working the desk that day and when I approached she immediately smiled at me.
"Welcome to the Hilton sir. How can I help you?"
"I am a guest of N'Sync and I was told to talk to you for my passes and clearance to go up to their floor." I replied with a smile.
"You must be Mr. Walker." I nodded
"Here is your floor pass, make sure it is visible at all times. I do need you to sign here so that the hotel has record of your visit, strictly for security purposes I promise you."
I signed the paper and she handed me the pass. As I was clipping it to the front pocket of my jeans I heard her say, "Elevators are down that hall and to your right. I trust you know what room they are in?"
"Yes I do. I thank you for your help miss." I smiled extending my hand.
She very politely shook it. "The name is Rachel, and you're very welcome. Don't hesitate to call on me should you need anything at all."
"Thanks." I replied. "I appreciate that."
With that I headed to the elevators and up to their room. When I reached the 20th floor, the doors opened to a small hallway. As I exited the elevator and glanced down the hallway, a smile came to my lips as I noticed the familiar face looking back at me.
