Author's Note:

This is my first attempt at writing this type of story. I bet you have heard this line many times. Well, that's life. I just wanted to give you a little on my style of writing this story. It will be third person omniscient. All sentences that are in parenthesis will only be see in conversation and that is only to point out the thoughts the character has that moment. Any sentences in brackets will only be seen in conversation. It will explain the actions that the narrator sees. That's about it. Have fun reading and email me at d_man116@hotmail.com if you like or don't. Also, check out my page at http://www.geocities.com/d_man116

Now this part of the author's note can't be seen on my web page and only on Nifty, so don't you guys that read it here feel lucky? I just want to thank the people that have emailed me about my story and the ones that helped me. You know you are. If you don't know, email me and I will tell you.

Previously:

Darryl was checking his email while Kyle and Josh were having their conversation. He didn't really receive any email that he would actually reply to, so he gave up. The internet was getting boring, so he thought he would turn in for the day. A new day equals a better day than today, right?

As soon as Darryl's head hit the pillow, he was out like a baby. Josh and Kyle decided to go to bed too. Darryl had been sleeping for a couple of hours when he finally entered dreamland. He dreaded this moment. He would wake up sweating and freaked out. He didn't know how to control his dreams. They became repetitive, but slowly diminished his strength to live.

Chapter 2: The Dream

What really made Darryl's dreams unusual was the fact that they were reality. The same dramatic sequence in life played over and over, but Darryl could never feel the realness of the dream. He had repressed that day so many times that he had forgotten that it ever occurred. There was also the fact that he was only ten when his world began to crumble. So this was the only way that this day could haunt him, through his dreams.

He entered the realm of dreams to come back with a story to tell his friends.

Start of Dream- 1992

Darryl had just returned home from school. He was ten now and was beginning to mature. Actually, many adults except his parents were telling him that he was too mature for a ten year old. He didn't really care what they were talking about until that dreaded day that would haunt him the rest of his life. Too bad at that time, he didn't know it was that day.

Darryl walked into his house to find his parents fighting. At this age, he felt it was his fault for all the fighting. He tried to be a good child, which would explain why he matured so quickly. His parents had fought constantly and always sent him into confusion. He always tried to figure out a way to stop his parents from fighting, but he couldn't. He felt like a failure each time, and the idea grew larger each time his father would tell him he was. It happened a lot too.

Darryl went to his room to try to sort out this fight this time. He spent ten minutes trying to figure out a plan, but he didn't succeed once again. He went to the corner of the room and cowered there until his father would come into his room and yell at him. It had become a ritual that Darryl would never forget.

After thirty minutes of yelling from his parents and being in his own world, he heard a loud bang from the front door. He knew that his mother just left. Now the true pain would come. He heard the footsteps approach his door. They sounded gentle and slow, but they were actually the work of the devil. Deceiving Darryl the first time he heard those footsteps. He thought only happiness was approaching. Boy, was he wrong.

The doorknob opened slowly. It felt like those scenes in the movie when everything was in slow motion. Darryl's heart rate increased. He knew what was coming, but it surprised him every time. His father came into the room. He undid his belt and took it off. Darryl hated this part. He always wondered why it had to happen to him. None of the other kids were mentally and physically hurt by their parents. Not even his older brother and sister faced this torture.

Darryl's father reached for his pants and undid them. He took them off gently. You would think by his actions that nothing was going to go wrong, but something always goes wrong. He picked Darryl up and took him to the bed.

"Why are you always in that corner. You should find a new place to hide if you don't want to play." [His voice was calm. Again, like nothing was going to happen.]

Darryl made no reply. He just acknowledged his father's statement by nodding his head. He had to remember to hide in a better place. He probably wouldn't though. His father took off his son's underwear and placed him on his belly on the bed. His father took his own hand and rubbed his son's bottom. It was smooth, but red from yesterday's actions. He took his belt and tied his son's arms to the bedpost. Darryl became frightened, but his father wouldn't notice. This was all a game to him. That is what he called it. Darryl would have told his mom about the game, but his father told him that it was a secret. If he told anyone about the game, he would be punished and so would his siblings. He didn't want any harm to come to his brother and sister. The irony. The youngest looking out for the older ones. His father took off his hand and raised it into the air. He brought it down swiftly and swat the child. Darryl wanted to scream, but he kept it inside. He did not want to show his father that he was a wimp. He wanted his father to be proud of him, to see him as a brave, courageous son. He would soon be in his own world where nobody could hurt him. Not even his own father. His father kept swatting his son. Harder and harder. Many children were punished this way, but to his father it was only a game. To watch his son be in pain. The only problem was that his son endured the pain. His father hated it. He hit harder and harder.

"You are the worst son ever. You have become a disgrace to the family. You are a worthless piece of trash. You won't grow up to be anything. You'll be living in a box, and I'll be in heaven laughing at you. The joy of laughing at my son to be a failure. That's what you are. Just a failure. Nothing good has ever come out of you. You try to be good, but you're just the devil. Evil. Shame. Disgust. Disgrace. You everything but good. Who would want you? I know I didn't want you. The shame of having you. You know how many times I have to deny that you are my son. I tell them you are just there. Even my own parents think you are a freak. I did so well with the other two. What could have gone wrong? It's just you. I bet you will be a faggot when you grow up. You have that faggot inside of you. I bet you are enjoying it, you faggot. Now you are a truly a freak. "

His father repeated this speech many times. Darryl would only hear the it about four or five times before he zone out, but that was enough for him to memorize it. He would carry those words for the rest of his life. Even when his own father died. Nothing could bury those words. Not even his own grave could kill it because in Darryl's mind it was true. Every word was true. No matter what people say, his father was right. A father is always right. After an hour of pure torture, his father stopped. He left his son there tied up and went to the living room to drink some beer. He would be back to play the game again. Darryl gained consciousness and slipped his arms from the belt. He was smart. He learned how to get free. He didn't want to be here when his father returned drunk. He put his clothes back on and grabbed his bag. It was time to leave. He could not take anymore. He had gone through this for two years. He didn't need anymore of this. He threw his clothes and his money into the bag and was ready to start a new, better life. How could someone repress and forget this event if it has happened for two years. The real scarring was only down the road. He snuck out through the window and began to walk around the neighborhood. He walked around for about an hour. He was about to give up and return home before his father noticed. If only his brother knew, he would have protected him, but he was always out. He barely came home. Darryl was about to turn back when a car approached him. A man rolled down the window. His face was remarkable and his black hair radiated in the moonlight. He had the bluest eyes that he had ever seen. They pierced his soul, and Darryl sense he was the person that would whisk him from all his problems except for one. Even though his father was a jackass to him, he taught him to never to speak to stranger. An early lesson in life that Darryl always held dear to his heart.

"Are you lost, kid?" [He asked with sincerity that any person knew he would bring no harm to anyone's life.]

"Um…. No. I'm just taking a walk."

"Are you sure? I can give you a ride home. I'm dropping off a friend right now. Also, it is pretty dark for you to walk around."

"No thank you. I will be fine. My house is just down the street."

"Alrite. Get home soon. I'm sure your parents are missing you right now."

His words spoke straight to his heart. He had just talked him out of running away. That bastard. He never thought about his mother. His mother had loved him.

Actually, she never really bonded with him, but she never harmed him like his father. Darryl decided to walk back home. Maybe his life would get better. His father could change. Darryl was ready to help his father change. Darryl was about to reach his own house when somebody grabbed him from behind. They covered his mouth. Darryl tried to scream, but he couldn't. He just gave up and was ready for whatever was going to be thrown at him. Too bad he wasn't ready as he thought he was. Darryl was thrown into a van. He tried to get out, but the door was locked.

He couldn't open it. He screamed and cried, but no noise could be heard by the people on the outside. The man entered his car and drove off. The man had been driving for about thirty minutes. The car stopped, and Darryl became frightened once again. Why did he have to leave his house? He was so stupid. Once again his father was right. His words were right. Darryl was once again a failure. He stopped crying and sat there, staring into space. The man turned off the engine and crept to the back.

"How are you doing kid?" [His voice was cruel and cynical. Anyone would be scared.]

Darryl made no response. He just continued to sit there. Darryl just thought it was another game. Another game that he could endure. He would be beaten. That's it.

"You better talk, kid, or I'm gonna really pound you down."

Darryl didn't hear a single word. He just sat there.

"Find kid. You're gonna get it."

The man grabbed Darryl and ripped off his clothes. Darryl was snapped back into reality. This was no game. His father had been gentle with him when removing his pants. This man was harsh. Darryl knew he had to fight. He struggled. He tried to throw a few punches, but couldn't succeed.

"That's more like it. I got myself a good feisty one."

Darryl became scared again. What was going to happen to him? Why couldn't he had taken that ride with other guy. He was nicer. The man had completely removed all of Darryl's clothes. He was naked. He had never been nude in front of anybody besides his father and brother. The man began to take off his own clothes. Darryl now was really scared. Why was the man getting naked? The man grabbed the child and threw him down. The man plowed Darryl's ass. The pain was unbearable. He screamed and cried, but the man would not listen to the child. He continued to ram his dick into the boy's tiny hole. Darryl was bleeding. He was in pain. He could feel himself tearing up inside. He could not take anymore. He wanted to be home with his father. Yes his father. He could handle the torture that his father threw upon him. He couldn't handle this. He soon blacked out. After being raped, Darryl laid there. He was in shock, pain, confused, scared. He just wanted to be in his own bed.

"Hey kid, are your parents rich?"

(What do I say?) "No, sir."

"Ha! You calling me sir. You got some values there, kid. Too bad you aren't going to have the chance to use them.

The man raised a gun and bang.

End of Dream

Darryl woke up immediately, screaming for help. Sweat was everywhere. His shirt was wet. It looked like he had been playing basketball for hours. Kyle and Josh ran into the room to see what was happening. They saw the condition that Darryl was in. Kyle kind of figured out what it was, but what he was thinking was only half of the truth. Josh stood there confused. He wanted to help Darryl, but didn't know how.

"What's wrong, Darryl?"

"I don't know. I can't remember."

Darryl looked up and saw Kyle and Josh. He looked at each of them. He saw his friend. He saw the face that wanted to help him. The face that would be there when ever he needed it. Kyle was the true meaning of a friend. He looked at Josh. He saw the confused look. At least he could have showed some compassion, but his eyes.

They showed the compassion and sincerity. Those eyes pierced his soul. The dream came flashing in Darryl's mind. He was reliving the whole event again, but this time awake. Josh's eyes had released all the events from its bottle.

"Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"

Kyle ran to Darryl's side and tried to comfort him.

"Everything is going to be aright. Josh, go to bed. You have a busy day. I can take care of everything."

"Ok."

"Just tell me what is going on in the head of yours. I can help you. Just tell me how."

Darryl calmed down after ten minutes. He had to first cry out all the tears that he had built up. He told him everything that happened. Everything that he had thought he had forgotten including the ending.

Flashback to the Dream

The man threw Darryl out of the van and drove away. He left the boy to die. Something that Darryl wished would happen, but nothing ever went his own way. Somebody found him there lying and called the police. The ambulance arrived and took him to the hospital. The family was called and they immediately rushed there. The irony once again. Darryl thought he would have a better life by running away, but it turns out to go the other way. His mother wanted to see his son immediately, while his father had a smirk on his face. His son had failed once again. The final verdict was that Darryl had been shot in the chest, but sadly the bullet missed the vital organs and wasn't very deep. The doctors were able to easily remove the bullet and the child was fine. Darryl would be able to go home in a week. Everybody visited him. He was happy to see everybody. His father still had his smirk. Each time he visited him, he would call him a failure. He had finally brought the ultimate disgrace to the family. He was officially a sluttish faggot.

End of Flashback

Kyle was surprised. He had known about the game, but he never learned about the rape. He was enraged. How could Darryl keep something from him? He wanted to bring justice for Darryl, but there was nothing to do. He had to do something though. Maybe tomorrow would bring a better day.

Through all that thinking, Darryl had fallen asleep again. This time he looked peaceful. Maybe he could finally get a decent sleep. Kyle turned off the light and went to bed. Tomorrow was certainly going to be a good day for Darryl. He was going to make sure it was.

Thank you for reading. Please email me with any feedback. You are probably wondering why the flash back and dream was in third person. Usually when I dream, I see myself doing everything, but I still feel it, so that is third person, I guess. Now you know something about me. Email me at d_man116@hotmail.com and tell me some stuff about you too. Thanks again. Also, check out my page at http://www.geocities.com/d_man116
