Chapter 15--
Two Months Later --
Joey rubbed Lance's hands to keep him warm. Seeing as Lance already had his coat, rubbing his hands was the only thing left to do. "Bus, bus, bus, bus, bus." He whispered under his breath. The whole group had been waiting about 20 minutes for the tour bus to show up. It was about 27 degrees outside, and very few of them had taken a coat in, because it had been warm earlier. The cold front was merely a surprise.
"Joey? Aren't you..c..c..cold?" Lance stuttered out, his teeth chattering like crazy.
"Yeah, but onl a little. I'd rather you be warm."
"Aww" Lance leaned in, and pressed his lips against Joey's in a sweet kiss.
"BUS!" Justin shrieked, running out from JC's warm embrace, and pounded on the bus doors til they opened. He was the first in, then Lance, and Chris.
JC pulled Joey aside. "Hey, Joe? Can you do a favor for me?"
"Yeah, what is it? Hurry, I'm cold!"
"Can you keep Justin occupied from 3 to 6:30 today?"
"Yeah, why?"
"I'm gonna surprise im with something. We're supposed to get to the hotel at 2, I'm gonna get the key to his room, and fix it all up. I need a lot of time!"
"I can tell! Okay, sounds good, now... ON THE BUS!"
Lance waited... and waited... and waited... nothing... and waited... and waited... little noise... 'Almost there,' he thought... and waited...
Joey let out a loud snore, accompanied by a smaller one.
"Finally!" Lance whispered, and climbed out of Joey's arms and out of the bunk. He walked through the bus, until he reached the lounge. "Justin?" He hissed through the door. Pushing it opened, he smiled to find Justin and JC laying together on the loveseat. JC had his arms wrapped around Justin, and Justin had his face buried into JC's bare chest.
"JUSTIN!" He hissed again, this time a bit louder.
"Hmmm?" Justin murmured sleepily. He turned around to look at Lance. "Hey, Lance. Need something?" He whispered to keep JC from waking up.
"Yeah, see, I want to surprise Joey today, so, could you keep him busy from, like, 3 to 6:30?"
"Yeah, uh... I guess so. Goodnight." Justin quickly turned around and nestled back into JC's arms.
Shutting the door, Lance tiptoed back to his and Joey's bunk. Joey was now laid on his back, snoring away. Lance smiled lovingly at his boyfriend, and climbed in, laying his head on Joey's chest. Joey woke up and looked down at his chest.
"Hey, baby. Where did you go?" Joey gently rubbed Lance's arm in a soothing manner.
"Nowhere, Joe." Lance whispered, and dozed right back off to sleep.
About three hours later, the bus pulled up to their new destination. JC kindly carried his and Chris's bags to their room. Under normal conditions, JC and Justin would be sharing a room, but because Chris had been so depressed during the past months or so, the rest of the guys thought it would be better if someone stayed with him. JC was chosen, much to Justin's displeasure, to be that one, because Chris seemed to want to talk to him more than anyone.
Justin had just put his bags in his room, and then happily bounced over to Joey and Lance's room. "Joey!" He yelled, knocking viciously on the door.
"What do you want, Justin?" Joey called through the door in an annoyed voice.
"Joey! Come shopping with me! JC won't go! He's got paperwork stuff! Please?"
Joey was about to say no when he looked at the clock and suddenly realized what he had promised JC. Taking a deep sigh, he went and opened the door. Lance, who was unpacking some of his clothes on the bed, looked up to see what was going on, and smiled to find Justin helping him with his plan. "Okay, I'll go with you. But we gotta be back at 6:30. It's... " He looked at the clock again. "2:45 now, let me get ready, and we'll go at three, okay?"
"K! Gotta fix the fro! See you in the hall at three!" And Justin ran off.
Lance watched Joey walk back in, a tired expression on his face. "You look down, baby, what is it?"
"A whole afternoon of shopping... with Justin. Kill me, okay?" Lance laughed, realizing that Joey was referring to Justin's energy towards shopping. There was a definite abundance.
As soon as Joey was done getting ready and out the door, Lance picked up the phone, and called in an order for red roses. He had candles and oils in a ziplock bag in his duffel. Chocolate and strawberries would come from room service. One by one, he checked the things off his list that he had. The last thing on the list was handcuffs which he had as well. "Joey's always liked things with a little kink." He said to himself with a giggle.
"A little kink?"
Lance jumped at the sound of another voice. "JC! Jesus Christ, you scared the shit out of me!"
"Now, Lanceypooh, didn't think you were into bondage?"
"Oh, SHUT UP! This just happens to be the way Joey likes it. Tonight is his night."
"Ah, I see. Tonight is Justin's as well. I'm just finishing setting up in my room. Will you help me with something?"
"Sure. What is it?"
"Not yet! Come by at say... 6:15?"
"Uh, okay, sure."
"GREAT! See ya then!" JC darted out the door immediately.
"Oookay... ANYWAYS." Lance turned back to his work. He had a few hours left, but he had a hell of a lot to prepare.
"JUSTIN! I'm friggin tired here! I'm sitting! JUST STOP ME! I DARE YOU!" Joey fell into a sitting sort of laying position on the bench at the mall. Justin had had him on his feet all day, and he was nearly ready to kill the boy.
"But Joey! SALE! SAAAAAALEEE! Abercrombie and Fitch SALEEEEEE!"
"Go yourself." Joey huffed and crossed his arms over his chest protectively, but Justin yanked them separated.
"Let's GO, JOEY!"
"I hate you, Justin. I honestly do." Joey pouted as Justin tugged him in the direction of the store. Boy, would he kill JC later for this.
"JC, I'm here. What do you need help with?" Lance wondered into JC and Justin's unlocked room.
"Be there in a second!" Just then, JC walked out fully naked. Lance's jaw dropped and he felt faint.
"WHY ARE YOU NAKED?!"
"I need you to tie me to the bed. You know, so when Justin comes back, he'll get a big surprise."
"Riiight... Okay... well... uh... lay down then?" He asked meekly, taking a big gulp.
"Okie dokie." JC laid down on his back, and spread eagle.
"Oh ...boy..." Lance took the rope JC had set aside, and tied up his arms and legs. "You're a kinky boy, Mr. Chasez."
"So are you, Mr. Bass, now go get ready. Our men will be here soon."
Lance laughed and walked back to his room. "Have a good night!" He called out before shutting the door behind him.
Chris sat in his room enjoying the quiet peace that had taken over the N Sync suite area of the hotel. A rumbling noise was suddenly heard going down the hall followed by immense laughter. Justin and Joey were back. Joy.
Tears fell silently down his face as he listened to the happy cries coming from the guys as they were reunited with their loves. As lonely as he felt, Chris knew there was nothing he could do. Misery loved company, yes, but this misery could find no company.
"No one loves me." He whispered to himself, and went into the bathroom. Digging through his bag, he found a few bottles of old prescription pills he'd had to take before. He filled up a glass of water and sat on the edge of the bed. "If nobody wants me, then maybe god will take me." He said, his voice full of emotion and tears. One by one, he downed the pills till the first three bottles were empty. He went and layed on his bed waiting for the pills to take effect. Nobody wanted him. Nobody would stop by to check on him. What's done was done. No more pain. No more lonliness. Just a warm, drowsy feeling that was now spreading throughout his entire body.
