When they both had finished, Edward stood up as Teddy moved around on the bed. Edward lowered him next to Teddy and kissed him. "Babe, that was incredible."

"You're telling me. Holy shit, what got into you? That was awesome."

Edward blushed lightly, "I thought about it and it's something I've wanted to do. I hope you don't mind."

"Hell no, I don't mind. It was something special that is for sure."

"I'm glad you liked it. Let's get ready for bed."

They both jumped up and headed to the bathroom. After they were done and the lights were out, Edward spooned up behind Teddy and both were soon asleep.

      • Part 16 * * *

The weekend spent alone was a great change for Ted and Edward. As much as they missed their family, it allowed them the ability to spend time together and grow as a couple. As the week started though, Teddy started to see changes in Edward. While he was mostly the same, there were big changes in him. If Teddy didn't know him better, he would think Edward was hiding something serious from him. He became distant and preoccupied, strange calls and late nights.

Wednesday morning Edward was dressed and almost out of the bedroom before Teddy woke up. Teddy rolled over and looked at Edward as he came out of the bathroom. "Morning."

"Good morning, babe. Sleep well?" Edward walked over and kissed Teddy.

"Yeah, you should have woken me up. I'll be ready in a minute and I'll drive you over."

"It's ok, Vladimir is going to drive me. I've got meetings planned this morning. I need to get an early start."

"Oh, ok. Well, call me later."

"I will. I love you."

"I love you too." Even before Teddy said it, Edward was out of the bedroom headed for the front door.

Teddy sat there in bed thinking about what just transpired. It wasn't like Edward and it was just another thing for him to figure out. He didn't like mysteries and Edward was being mysterious. All he could think about was how much Edward was acting like Phillip, at the end of their relationship. He kept telling himself `Edward is not Phillip,' but at the moment it was no help. With what had been happening, Teddy was convinced Edward was getting ready to leave.

Before noon, Teddy received the phone call from Freedom Health with the results of their tests. The relief was incredible, even though they both knew what the results were going to be. Teddy decided he wanted to celebrate by bringing lunch to Edward. He swung by the Chinese take away just down from the flat and headed for Knightsbridge. Pulling up to the gate, the sentry recognized him and waved him through. Teddy grabbed the bags, headed up the stairs and inside. When he got to Edward's office, it was empty. Teddy turned to go looking for him when he ran into one of the Corporals of Horse.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Jackson."

"Good afternoon. Do you know where Captain Smythe is?"

"He hasn't been in all morning sir. I heard he took this morning off."

"Umm, thank you Corporal."

"You're welcome, sir." The Corporal continued walking and was now out of sight.

Teddy wasn't sure how long he stood there before he moved again. He was trying not to cry as he walked towards the exit of the building. He found himself moving faster the closer he got to it. He was almost ready to break into a run, when he ran smack into someone.

"Whoa there!" Teddy found himself in the arms of someone he wasn't expecting, Harry.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't paying attention." He was trying to avoid the man's eyes, while tears started to flow down Teddy's face.

"Ted, what's wrong?" Harry's voice showed concern and he wouldn't release Teddy from his grip. He pulled Teddy out of the hallway and into a small training room off the main hallway.

Teddy couldn't seem to find his voice, so he just cried. Harry could see that his friend was in real pain and all he could think of was to hug him. He didn't know what to say, but he wanted to know what was causing Teddy this much pain.

"It's ok, you need to breath. What's wrong? You need to tell me."

After a minute or two, Teddy was finally able to speak. He told Harry how Edward had changed and was hiding something. Then, how this morning he'd told him he had meetings scheduled and now he'd just found out Edward had taken the morning off.

Harry just stood there and started to smile. Teddy looked at him and realized that the man was trying his hardest not to laugh.

Teddy was shocked that Harry would think this was funny. "What?"

Before he could start talking, Harry did start to laugh. "Ok, let me get this straight. You honestly think that Mr. Loyalty would cheat on you? Come on. We both know that isn't in his character. He is the most monogamous man I know. Not to mention, he's madly in love with you and ONLY you."

When Teddy actually thought about it Harry was right. But, that still didn't explain what was going on. "I guess I am being a bit of a drama queen. BUT, he did lie to me."

Harry pointed for Teddy to sit in a chair. Teddy sat down while Harry sat on the edge of a table. "Ok, I'm going to ask you a couple questions, but I'm not going to tell you anything that I may or may not know."

The smile on his face told Teddy that Harry did know just what was going on with Edward. He instantly started to feel better, "Ok."

"So... Did Edward tell you he was working this morning? Think carefully."

It took Teddy a minute to run through exactly what Edward had said, "No..."

The smile was still on Harry's face, "What did he tell you?"

Teddy thought for a minute. "That he had meetings planned for this morning."

"Ok. So, you just guessed that he meant here?"

"Yes..." Teddy began to feel like an idiot for reacting the way he had.

Harry shook his head and then put his hand on Teddy's shoulder. "So, do you think... maybe he was doing something related to your birthday and that's why he didn't want you to know what he was doing?"

"Oh shit!" Teddy felt like a complete spaz. "Please... Don't tell Edward I was..."

Harry just laughed, "Don't worry, it'll be our little secret." Harry looked at the bag Teddy had been carrying and took a deep breath. "Is that Chinese take away?"

"Umm, yes..." Teddy suddenly realized how similar Harry and Edward were. "Do you want some?"

Harry's face lit up. "I'd love some."

By the time Edward made it to his office that afternoon, he was exhausted. `Who knew there would be so many things to get organized to go on vacation?' On top of everything else, he also had his meeting with Coutts' Private Office team, which took a little longer than he planned. They were very nice to him and everything he wanted was set up.

He was just getting settled in, when there was a knock at his door. "Enter."

"Captain, I just wanted to let you know, Mr. Jackson was here a little before noon looking for you."

Edward felt all of the color drain from his face and his stomach sank. "Did he say anything Corporal?"

"No, Captain. He just looked surprised you weren't here. He did look pretty upset, I think he talked to Lieutenant Wales."

`Oh Fuck!' Edward just kept repeating it to himself. "Thank you Corporal. Could you find Lieutenant Wales for me?"

"Yes, Captain."

Within a few minutes, Harry walked in to find Edward sitting behind his desk with his head in his hands. Edward knew he had made a huge mistake. He knew he hadn't lied, but knowing the issues Teddy had in the past, he felt should have been more forthcoming.

Harry knocked on the door jamb as he was standing there. When Edward looked up, Harry instantly knew someone told him Ted had been there.

"Come in and shut the door." Edward's voice was lower than usual.

Harry did it and sat down across from Edward. "So... you know he was here."

Edward nodded his head, "How bad?"

"Well, I was sworn to secrecy, but let's put it this way. If I hadn't caught him before he left, you'd probably be going on vacation by yourself."

"Oh hell." Edward just shook his head. "Well, I've fucked up royally." As soon as he said it, he looked at Harry and laughed. "Sorry... you know what I mean."

"He's ok now. He told me you've been acting strange and that lead him to think you were cheating on him, or worse. He came to bring you lunch as a surprise, which was fantastic by the way." Harry patted his stomach before he continued. "When he got here, someone told him you'd taken the morning off. Well, that was all it took for him to have a slight breakdown. I didn't tell him anything you are planning for his birthday, but I did tell him your taking the morning off was related to it."

Edward just shook his head, "It's my fault. I have been so worried about pulling all of this off that I've been obsessing about it. He must have picked up on that."

"Well, can I give you some advice?"

"Always, you know that."

"Go home and take something special with you. We both know he's going to be over the moon about the trip, but you still have a few days to get there. Don't let him worry himself to death, talk to him."

"That's a great idea. I won't mention you, don't worry. Besides, one of the NCOs is who told me he was here and was upset."

Teddy was on the bed with his back to the door, when Edward got home. Teddy had the radio on, so he didn't' hear Edward come in. It wasn't that he was upset anymore, it was just a good way to relax. The music was load enough that Edward was able to walk over to the bed without being heard.

"Babe."

Teddy about jumped off of the bed. "Shit! You scared the crap out of me."

Edward laughed, "Sorry..."

Teddy then noticed the flowers that Edward was carrying. There were two dozen red roses, which are Teddy's favorite. Teddy realized Edward actually had been listening all those times they talked.

"Those are beautiful."

Edward leaned over and kissed Teddy, handing him the flowers. "We need to talk babe."

Teddy took a long smell of the flowers and then looked up at Edward. After looking into the man's eyes for a minute he knew. "How did you find out?"

Edward sat down the bed next to Teddy, "One of the NCOs told me he ran into you."

"Oh."

"He said you looked really upset and practically ran from the building." Edward shook his head, "I'm sorry babe. I should have been more open about what was going on."

With his hand over Edward's mouth to stop him from speaking, Teddy just looked into his eyes. "I was a complete idiot. Instead of just talking to you over the past few days about what was going on, I decided to surprise you with lunch today." Teddy removed his hand from Edward's mouth before he continued. "When I got there and he told me you had taken the morning off..." Teddy could feel himself start to cry.

Reaching out for Teddy, Edward wrapped him in his arms. "Shhh... it's ok. It's my fault."

"When he told me you had taken the morning off... I just knew that the reason you had been distant this week was because you had found someone else."

"I could just about scream at you right now, but I won't. What part of I love you, do you not understand?"

Teddy could feel himself blush at his embarrassment, "I know, I've been so stupid all week. I didn't handle this very well. I think I was remembering the way Phillip acted at the end and I got scared. I was projecting that insecurity onto you. I know you'd never cheat on me and all I can do is ask you to forgive me."

Edward leaned over and kissed Teddy gently on the lips, "Babe, there is nothing for me to forgive. I can see how the way I`ve been acting could make you think there was something like that going on. All I'm going to say is that I've been plotting and planning for your birthday. I guess I've gotten so obsessed with getting it all perfect, that I have neglected the most important person in my life."

Teddy finally smiled, "So, does this mean we've had our first fight? If so... I can't wait to make up."

A laugh escaped Edward's mouth, "I don't really consider this to be a fight. But we can call it one, if you want... tomorrow."

"Ah yes... tomorrow. So, let me ask you this. When are we leaving for wherever you have this trip planned for?"

After thinking for a few minutes, Edward looked at Teddy and smiled. "Ok, I'm going to tell you just enough. We're leaving Friday morning and you need to pack for sun and water. Plus, bring some dress clothes because we'll be going out in the evenings."

"Come on, that's all you're going to tell me?"

"That's it."

"Man... you're killing me here." Teddy was laughing as he said it.

The sound of his cell phone ringing woke Teddy the next morning. He didn't even look at the caller ID, he just answered it. "Ted Jackson."

"Hey babe."

"Hey yourself, soldier boy."

Teddy could hear the smile in Edward's voice, "Did I wake you up?"

"Sorry, I fell back asleep after you left this morning. Our excitement in the shower this morning wore me out."

"You're telling me... my knees are still weak. Well, you need to get ready to go to Dr. Alexander's."

When he looked over at the clock, Teddy couldn't believe it. "Holy crap! It's that late? Why are you calling me? Shouldn't you be here by now?"

"I called to tell you that I can't be there babe. Having an issue at Combermere Barracks and I'm about to head over there."

"Damn, ok I understand. When are you going to be home?"

"Probably not until really late tonight, I'm sorry babe. Are you all packed?"

"I'm all ready and it's ok, Edward, I understand. I guess I better get ready to go to the doctor. Thanks for calling and waking me up."

"No problem, I love you. I miss you."

"I miss you too."

"Well, Ted, how are you feeling?" Dr. Alexander was palpating the area around Teddy's wound.

After another week of healing, Teddy could see a real improvement. "I'm really good. There's very little pain anymore."

"That's perfect. The healing looks exactly as I was expecting. I think we're going to wait four weeks for your next recheck." He made some notes in Teddy's chart, "Where is Captain Smythe today?"

"Edward had to go to Windsor for work."

"Ah. So, I have good news for you. No more restrictions... of any kind."

Teddy could feel the smile on his face, "That's incredible doc!" Teddy had just put his shirt on and without thinking he hugged Dr. Alexander. He quickly pulled back, "Sorry, I got a wee bit excited."

Dr. Alexander was laughing, "It's quite alright. We won't tell my partner or yours. Kevin isn't the jealous type, but let's not push it."

Teddy was stunned, he had no idea Dr. Alexander was gay. "Crap! I had no clue."

"It's not something I usually discuss with patients, but Kevin and I talked about it and agreed we wanted you and Edward to know."

"Thank you, I know I speak for Edward also when I tell you that you mean a great deal to both of us. How would you feel about coming to dinner in a few weeks when we get back from the States?"

"We'd both be honored."

Teddy pulled a card from his pocket, "I know you have it already, but this is my contact information. When I come back for the next appointment we can set up a time."

"That sounds great. I look forward to it."

"Babe."

Teddy wasn't sure if he heard something, but he knew he didn't want to get up.

"Babe, it's time to get up."

He opened his eyes to see Edward sitting next to him. "What... you just getting home?"

Edward's laugh made Teddy realize it wasn't when he thought it was. "Umm... it's time to get ready to go to the airport, its eight o'clock."

Teddy sat straight up in bed, "You're kidding me right." He looked over at the clock, "Why didn't you wake me up? What time did you get home?"

"I got in a little after eleven. I'm sorry, but things took a little longer than planned."

"It's ok. I guess I better jump in the shower and get dressed."

"Sounds like a plan, dress for warm weather. I'm going to start taking bags to the door. Vladimir should be here in about thirty minutes. Got your passport?"

"So, we're going out of the country? Are you going to tell me now?"

"Yes... and... no freakin way." Edward stood up and grabbed two suitcases before heading down the hall with them.

After a quick shower and getting dressed, Teddy was ready. When he came out of the bathroom, he noticed Edward had changed also. He was wearing a pair of linen pants, a white linen shirt, and leather sandals. Teddy was speechless as he stared at Edward.

Edward turned and smiled. He was sure that his clothing choice would please Ted, but he was equally as please at what he saw. Teddy was dressed almost identically. Edward let out a small laugh, "This is so eerie. How did you know what I was going to wear?"

"I didn't, I just thought this was comfortable. Little did I know it was the uniform du jour."

"Well, the bags are all downstairs. Are you ready to go?" Edward reached his hand out to Teddy, and then pulled him towards the door. He was trying to not let his own excitement show, but he couldn't get over the fact he was going to pull this off.

Teddy grabbed his messenger bag as they headed out of the bedroom. They quickly were through the front door and onto the lift headed down. Walking outside, Teddy saw Vladimir waiting for them in the car. With a smile, he jumped out and opened the door for Teddy to climb in.

"Good morning Ted."

"Good morning to you. How are you doing this morning? How's your mother?"

"I'm excellent. Mother is doing well also. She received a wonderful card from Mrs. Jackson yesterday and she invited mother to visit her in Italy."

Teddy tried to hide his shock at what he had just heard. While his father loved the Siminovs, his mother had never shown much affection for the family. "That's great. Let me know and when she goes, I'll make sure she gets a flight on one of the corporate aircraft over there."

"Thank you, but Mrs. Jackson told her that she would be sending her private aircraft to pick up mother."

Again, Teddy was amazed by his mother's actions. It was so out of character for her, but Teddy loved the recent changes in her.

Teddy sat back as Vladimir pulled away from Albert Court. Edward reached over and held his hand as they drove further into downtown London. Teddy was trying to figure out where they were going. They weren't headed to Heathrow, so that ruled out some spots, he thought. They were also not headed to Biggin Hill, or they would have taken a different route. That only left one airport and the heliport.

Looking over at Edward sitting there, Teddy couldn't help but smile. "Babe, you look incredible."

"Thank you, you do too."

"I didn't get a chance to tell you yet. Doctor Alexander lifted all of my restrictions."

Edward couldn't help but smile widely, "That's great, babe. It will make our little trip even more special." He leaned over and kissed Teddy on the cheek.

Teddy could feel himself blush for some reason. It was the simple things like that small kiss that reminded him how much of a romantic Edward could be.

"I also invited him and his PARTNER to dinner some night after we get back from the States."

"Oh wow, you mean..."

"Yup, isn't that great?"

Edward was stunned, much as Teddy had been, but quickly recovered. "I would have never guessed that."

"I know, right?"

When they continued deeper into London, Teddy knew it had to be London City Airport. That meant a small airliner to somewhere in Europe or possibly New York City. At least he could guess that much, the rest would have to wait until he could get his hands on someone who would tell him. He wondered if Vladimir knew and if he could get it out of him. He was looking at the young man, when Edward leaned over and talked into his ear.

"He won't tell you. He swore to take it to his grave." He kissed Teddy's cheek before he pulled away, still holding his hand.

Teddy just turned his head towards Edward, "Brat."

Edward laughed and smiled at his partner. "Love you too babe."

When they drove down the A112 and onto the A1020, Teddy's pulse started to rise. When they made the left onto Connaught Road, Teddy knew they were headed for the terminal. He wasn't expecting them to make the next left to the security gate for the tarmac.

Vladimir talked quietly to the security guard for a second and then the gate was opened for them to drive through. Teddy was looking around for the Gulfstream, but suddenly remembered it couldn't land at London City. He wondered what Edward had up his sleeve. Then he saw where they were headed. Sitting on the tarmac in front of them, was something Teddy hadn't expected to see. A gleaming brand new Embraer Legacy 1000 business jet, its white, blue, and gold paint sparkling in the sun.

"Oh my god! I didn't know... How'd you get it here? How in the hell did you pull this off?"

"Let's just say, I had some help from friends."

When they pulled up to the stairs, Teddy looked over and saw Jake, Mark, Dustin, and a waving Devon waiting for them. He opened the door and practically ran to the stairs and hugged each of the men. "Holy shit! How did you guys pull this off? I didn't think it was supposed to be ready for a couple months."

Jake smiled at his boss, "Well, Stephanie has been helping us feed you false information. When Edward told us what he had planned, we knew we wanted to help and bring our surprise to you at the same time. We were going to deliver it early for your birthday anyway, so we just speed up the schedule some. Embraer was nice enough to help us and we flew it over yesterday."

"It looks incredible, just what I was hoping the paint scheme would look like. How is the inside?"

"Come on in." Jake reached around and shook Edward's hand, "Good morning, the guys will get the bags."

Before they climbed up the stairs, Teddy reached out and hugged Devon. "I'm surprised to see you here. I figured you'd be with Bess."

"I was, but Edward insisted that I come with Dustin. He said he arranged a little mini-vacation for us somewhere near where you guys are going."

Teddy was shocked at how thoughtful Edward was. He knew his heart was huge, but he just didn't expect this out of him. This was something that showed just how far Edward had come with the whole money issue. He then quickly realized what that meant, "So, you know where we're going?"

"Don't even try it Jackson." Edward was suddenly behind Teddy. "He's been sworn to secrecy, or threatened is more like it, as has everyone else here. Now, just get your ass on the plane."

Teddy looked over at Devon, "When did he get so bossy?"

"If you only knew..."

It caused the three of them to laugh. Devon excused himself and walked toward the car to help with the bags, as Teddy and Edward climbed up the boarding stairs. They walked into the forward cabin, where the crew rest compartment was. Both were surprised at how much more room there was for the crew to relax than there had been in the Gulfstream. Overall, they kept commenting on how much bigger this plane was compared to Teddy's Gulfstream. Edward wasn't even close to hitting his head on the ceiling in this one, and everything was brand new. The aircraft smelled like new leather and... cookies.

Teddy laughed, "I can tell this is going to feel just like home. I can already smell Dustin's cookies."

Walking aft they passed the galley and entered the first passenger zone. Teddy noticed that the tones of grey he had picked when the aircraft was ordered were perfect for his taste. He liked the feature of the bar and single club seats, but what he really wanted to see was further aft. Entering the main portion of the cabin he saw the two large divan's and more seating. The large TV was up and on, he knew the kids would love that feature. The workstation was also in this area and meant he could work while traveling with the family sitting in the same area.

"What's back there?" Edward was pointing through the next door.

Teddy smiled wide, "That's the best part, come on." He grabbed Edward's hand and, like a small child would a parent, he pulled him along through the doorway.

When they walked into the last cabin, Edward was shocked. There was a double bed, wardrobe, and a credenza. He was smiling as wide as Teddy. "This bed is incredible. I had no idea."

"Oh yeah, I'm so happy. I was really leery about ordering it, but I'm so glad I did now."

"Babe, I'm just curious... how many planes do you have?"

"The company as a ton of them, I'm not even sure anymore. But, this will make three that belong to US. You've been on the 550, this is the mid-sized one, and then I have a Boeing 757 that we mainly use when we're going to Asia. It's larger and more spacious, but it also uses more fuel."

"You have a damn 757?"

"It was dad's and he loved that plane. The company has a couple of them, too. If you haven't guessed, I'm kind of an aviation enthusiast. I think it's in our family's blood. Even my mother, who is the tightest of us when it comes to spending money, has a private jet."

These were the moments when Edward was reminded of how different his and Teddy's upbringings had been. He tried to push it out of his mind though, it really didn't matter. Then he just realized what Teddy had said `belong to us.' Edward just stood there unmoving as the realization hit him.

Jake turned when Mark walked into the bedroom. "We're all set."

"Great, if you gentlemen will take a seat somewhere, we'll get this show in the air."

Teddy and Edward moved into the main cabin and picked the club seats facing each other. Devon was sitting in the front cabin, giving them some privacy. Dustin did his safety briefing, as the aircraft was taxiing, and then walked to sit next to Devon. When Edward looked over they were holding hands just like he and Teddy were.

Mark's voice came over the speakers, "Gentlemen, we've been cleared for takeoff."

The takeoff run was short and the climb out of London City was very steep. The noise abatement procedures for central London made it an interesting departure. Teddy was looking out the window trying to figure out which way they were headed.

About ten minutes later, they reached their cruising altitude and Edward finally turned towards Teddy and smiled. "Ok, now that we're up here, I'll tell you where we're going."

Teddy perked right up, "Spill it!" Both men laughed.

Edward was trying to control his own excitement, since they were going someplace he had always wanted to. "We're going to... Ibiza."

Teddy couldn't believe his ears, "You're kidding right?"

"Nope, we're going to be staying until Tuesday..." He smiled wide, "Surprise."

Teddy jumped up and onto Edward's lap. He kissed him deeply, "Babe, you're fucking awesome. I've always wanted to go there. How the hell did you know?"

"I didn't, I just wanted someplace special. Not to mention, I have always wanted to go there too."

"This is going to be the best trip ever." Teddy kissed Edward again.

The two hour flight was going by quickly for Teddy. He wondered around the new plane and tried to familiarize himself with as much as he could. He tried out the desk and was please that the hookups for his laptop worked perfectly. Now that Edward and Bess were a part of his life, he was glad he had purchased a bigger plan. While they would all fit in the Gulfstream, there was much more room for family and friends in this one.

For his part, Edward sat looking out the window at the scenery as they crossed over France and into Spain. After they had crossed into Spain, he had walked up to the cockpit to look around and talk with Jake and Mark. Edward again laughed to himself about the men his boyfriend surrounded himself with. The two pilots could easily be models, but he still decided he wouldn't want to fly without them. Their personalities made them easy to like.

Mark looked over from the instruments, "So, does he know where you're staying?"

"No and he didn't ask. I think he'll be surprised."

Jake laughed, "I think he'll be fucking ecstatic. Just remember, we'll be a few floors below you. So keep the noise down."

Edward blushed as he laughed at Jake, "Yeah, yeah. Remember, I want us all to get together for dinner tomorrow night, for his birthday."

"You got it. Do you know where you want to go?"

"Yeah, I made reservations for all of us at Costa Mara."

"Sounds like a plan. I know he'll love that too." Jake was distracted by the Flight Management Computer beeping. He turned and looked at the screen displaying the Flight Plan. "We're going to be starting our decent in a minute."

"Well, I better go find out what he's up to." Edward turned and talked back to where Teddy was sitting. When he got there, Teddy wasn't sitting at the desk anymore. Edward walked even further back searching for him.

Teddy was propped up on his right arm, smiling up from the bed. "Hey soldier boy. Wanna join the mile high club?"

"Babe, like you wouldn't believe. But..."

"I know... I know... We're almost there."

Walking down the stairs, Teddy could smell the sea air. The bright sun and warm weather was such a big change from when they left London. Before landing, Jake had told them it was 86 degrees and Teddy now knew it was every bit of it, if not more. They climbed into two cars Edward had arranged, after the luggage was loaded. The drive along the E-20 was quick, as there wasn't much traffic.

Edward was watching Teddy and thinking how much like the twins he was at the moment. He was on the edge of his seat and practically bouncing around as he was looking out the windows.

Teddy noticed the smirk on Edward's face. "Ok, what's so funny?"

"Nothing... Dylan." He couldn't help but laugh as he said it.

"I guess I'm a little excited. So where are we staying?"

"You'll see..."

A few minutes later their driver made the final turn pulling up outside of the Ibiza Gran Hotel. Teddy was standing there with his mouth open when he got out of the car. "My God! Babe, this place looks incredible."

"Wait until we get inside. The pictures I looked at were out of this world."

Everyone grabbed their bags and headed inside. Walking to the reception desk Edward took the lead. `Out of this world' was an understatement. Edward was in complete awe as they walked into the lobby. He had never been in a place like this and was feeling out of his element. The closest he had ever come to something this nice was in the palace. When they got to the desk, he spoke to the young lady working there.

Teddy had hung back a little bit, standing with the guys. After a few minutes, Teddy noticed the desk clerk was completely fawning over Edward, not that he could blame her. As usual, Edward seemed to be totally oblivious to the attention he was getting. Teddy's blood pressure, on the other hand, was rising quickly. When she reached her hand out and patted Edward's forearm, Teddy had seen enough.

As Teddy launched himself forward, Dustin turned towards Devon and in a low voice tried to prepare him. "Hang the fuck on."

To his credit, Teddy didn't grab the offending young lady by the throat, even though it had been his first thought. He simply wrapped his arm around Edward's right arm. "Babe, is everything ok? What's taking so long? I can't wait for you to get me upstairs."

Edward didn't act surprised in the least to find Teddy on his arm or for his comment. In fact, he was trying his hardest to not burst out laughing. The desk clerk's face turned white and she quickly scurried off to retrieve some key cards.

With a smile on his face, Edward turned to look at Teddy. "What took you so long? I was expecting you like three or four little sexual comments ago."

"You big dork... For once you realized what was going on and you... You got me! That's pretty good. Next time though, don't let them touch you. I'd hate to have to pay a medical bill for someone when I break their hands or fingers."

"I knew you'd come and protect my honor." Edward could help but laugh.

"You know, if I didn't love you so much..." Teddy didn't get to finish his statement before Edward kissed him, shutting him up.

The desk clerk returned looking a little better than when she walked off. "I'm sorry..."

Edward smiled at her, "It's ok... Don't worry about it."

"Thank you, sir. Here are your room keys and I've already arranged for the luggage to be delivered. I hope you enjoy your stay."

"Thank you."

Teddy did his best to give a genuine smile, although he wasn't sure how well that worked. As they turned to walk away, Edward gave him a light smack on the ass. That put a real smile on his face and caused all the others to laugh at him.

As they went up in the elevator, the group got smaller. The two pilots were on the third floor, while Dustin and Devon were on the fourth floor. Teddy was curious where they were going, when they continued on to the fifth floor.

They exited the elevator and followed the porter down the long hallway to the very end. Teddy noticed the sign on the door `Grand Suite,' and he couldn't imagine Edward being comfortable enough to splurge on it. But when the door opened, Teddy could instantly see why. When they walked in they were met with a view that was unbelievable. They could see the bay and across it to the old town of Dalt Vila. He was stunned and just stood by the door.

Edward was smiling at Teddy's reaction and reached out for his hand to pull him further in. He handed the porter money and thanked him. When the porter walked out and closed the door behind him, Teddy launched himself at Edward.

"This place is beyond words. I stand in awe of your planning skills." Teddy smiled and then kissed Edward.

"Thanks, babe. Come on, there is something I want you to see on the balcony."

Walking onto the balcony, Teddy stopped when he saw the pool. He looked at it and then back at Edward, who was smiling at him. "You're kidding me!"

"When I read about this suite, I knew I had found the perfect place for us to come for your birthday. This was the only place with private balconies and this suite had this private pool. I figured we could be out in the sun and swim without prying eyes."

"It's absolutely perfect. I would've never imagined. So, what do you wanna do first?"

"Let's unpack and then enjoy this balcony."
