THE ONLY ONE

Chapter 3

"Regan, you feeling okay?" Neil asked bringing along two glasses and placed one next to her as he looked at his sister as she rested her head on her elbow and with her other hand caressing the pendant on her chest nonchalantly.

"Yeah ...am okay." Regan said she rested her head on her other elbow facing Neil with a smile on her face. Neil looked at her not very convinced with the answer she gave and decided to ask again just to make sure.

"You sure?" Neil asked with a raised eyebrow as Regan looked away from his gaze afraid that he might see what was bothering within her.

"Neil, I'm alright." Regan said smiling as she took a sip of her drink.

"Yeah right...and you expect me to believe you? You don't seem to be yourself for the past few days....you look more like a walking zombie...like a love struck person. You are expecting someone?" Neil asked as he settled down next to his sister and began to wiggle his eyebrows at her making her to chuckle softly.

"No Neil...I'm not expecting anyone...and I'm not love-struck. What makes you say that?" Regan asked in puzzlement.

"Oh really! Let me tell you something...you've already looked out at the at the balcony seven times and it's the tenth time you checked your mobile and I think it's going to be about eight times you logging in and out of your msn and the best thing is you did all these things within a period of less than ten minutes."

Regan was taken back to see his brother actually kept track on her happenings since the time she got up from bed. She didn't know why she was feeling this way and didn't know how to explain her thoughts that were running in her mind. Deep inside, she wondered about Fiona and the reason that she hasn't called for days even though she wasn't expecting any but still she was hoping that Fiona would just call her, talk to her about anything in random. All she wanted is to just hear her voice again. Neil did sense something was wrong but waited patiently until she's ready to tell him.

She could not stop thinking of the few days she spent with Fiona and the happy times they had. It has been a very long time since she felt that way. But now she had it and she is wanting to have it again only with Fiona. Her heart wanted to be with Fiona but her mind told her to put love on hold and enjoy whatever she has now before she puts herself in a state of regret.

"I'm missing Fiona. She calls me almost everyday and today she is missing. I was wondering why." Regan murmured but clear enough for her brother to hear.

"Oooohh...someone's missing someone yeah? You can always go to her house to check on her. What if she thinks just the same way as you thought?" Neil suggested as she understood the logic behind his question.

"Oh yeah...I didn't think of that. But still, I do not want to go around stalking her. Perhaps she is just busy and there is nothing important for us to say anyway." Regan shrugged her shoulders and got up from her seat taking the empty glasses along with her and walked to the kitchen with Neil following her.

"You guys hit it on together while we were away didn't you?" Neil teased as his sister couldn't help but to blush thinking about the subtle sensual moments that Fiona and her spent together especially the nights.

"No, we are just getting along as friends. Nothing more than that." Regan stated as Neil looked at her intently.

He countered with, "I have doubt in that. I don't think friends would give such a deep French kiss and would be wanting for more." as Regan looked at him with a shock and her heart ringing like an emergency bell.

Neil noticed the blushing on her face and saw his sister quickly turning away from his gaze afraid that he might question the reason behind the blushing on her face. But too late! "Come on Regan, I know you have shared your first kiss with Fiona. Not only that, you stopped yourself from going any further eh?" Neil teased as Regan groaned wondering how did he know about the kiss and was so ready to kill Fiona for not keeping it as a secret.

"How did you know about the kiss? Don't tell me Fiona told you?" Regan burst her words out from her mouth like rapid fire and grabbed him by his collar feeling flushed as she didn't know what other means are there to contain her curiosity and shook him impatiently to get an answer from him.

"Oooh, so you did kiss her huh? How is it girl? Neil teased wiggling his eyebrow as Regan's eyes grew wide and knew something was a miss.

"You piece of crap! You tricked me. You deliberately said that to dig the truth out from my mouth." Regan exclaimed as she saw Neil chuckling to himself when his face got smacked by a dish rag thrown by his sister and slowly peeled it off his face and saw Regan with her hands on her hips with a smug look on her face.

But still Neil didn't stop giggling only to annoy her even more as he saw his sister looking around for something hard to throw and/or beat the senses out of him but she thought of not wasting any of her energy on him and pretended to be upset with him and was ready to make her way out to her room.

Just as she was about to make her way out, Neil scrambled to his feet and grabbed her by the arm and pulled her into a bear hug swinging her from side to side despite the small protests that she made but in the end she gave in and giggled along with him enclosing her hands on his and feeling the brotherly love he has for her. Regan didn't know when was the last time she had gotten a hug like that from her brother and got lost into his loving embrace for a while more.

"You wish it was Fiona's arms didn't you?" Neil whispered in her ears as Regan blushed and poked him in the ribs causing him to let loose his embrace

"Cut the crap will you?" Regan said as she walked to the couch and slumped herself down the seat heaving out a sigh of exhaustion.

"Okay okay...but I can see you are surely falling for her." Neil blurted out and immediately closed his mouth with his hand as Regan shot him a lethal look causing him to back away a little but later softened herself and gave him a light smile to ease the tension between them.

"I do like her...but not in the way that you are thinking." Regan said softly as she slowly got up from her seat and began making her out to the door when Neil called out to her wanting to know where she was off to.

"Hey, where are you going? ...if I may ask?" Neil asked in concern as he leaned against the doorway watching her getting ready to leave.

"Well, I will take up your suggestion. I will just go visit Fiona and see if I can disturb her and then run away before she comes and pulverize me." Regan joked as Neil grinned at her and stopped her mid-way.

"Even if you want to get yourself pulverized, she wouldn't be there to do it." Neil said with a smirk as Regan looked at him puzzled waiting for further explanation and continued, "Fiona had a call from Florida last night from the church that she was brought up in. It seems like her pastor; Father Edmund Scott is in serious condition and is admitted in the hospital under intensive care. She called home last night and wanted to tell you the that but I saw you sound asleep. I did tell her that and she asked me not to disturb you and said she will be back by tonight."

Upon hearing what Neil said, Regan felt somewhat relieved knowing why Fiona hadn't called her but at the same time she began to worry as crazy thoughts began to sweep across her mind. Her hands trembled shakily; her fingers fiddling with one and nervously began to lick wet her lips with her tongue. Neil knew something wasn't right and sensed her anxiety and knew what exactly was she thinking about and gave her shoulders a gentle squeeze for comfort

"You're thinking about Monica's accident aren't you?" Neil asked as Regan nodded her head solemnly.

"Hey, she will be back here tonight. Don't worry." Neil whispered in her ear and hugged his sister tightly as she wrapped her arms around him easing the tension within her.

"Yeah...I want her to come back to me safely." Regan said and slowly ended the embrace just when her cell phone started to vibrate on the glass table.

Neil walked over to the coffee table and saw Fiona's number illuminating on Regan's cell screen. His smile slowly turned into a grin. "Hey it's Fiona. Answer it." Neil told her as he passed her the phone. In no time, Regan's gloomy face suddenly started glowing at the sound of Fiona's name. Without any hesitation, Regan practically tore the cell from his hands making him to chuckle at her anticipation, creating `wolf' whistles at her.

"Hey Fiona, How are you doing?" Regan greeted her.

"I'm fine. Things are going smoothly here. Girl, am very sorry I didn't get to tell you last night. Hope you're not upset?" Fiona asked solemnly.

"I was upset a few hours ago wondering what happened and why didn't you call. Now I feel better that you did." Regan said it with a soft smile though Fiona might not be able to see but Regan's tone did reassure her that she was feeling relieved.

"Oh Regan, I'm truly sorry. Anything that I can do to make it up to you?" Fiona asked hopefully.

"Not at all Fiona, it's alright. No worries."

"You sure? Maybe I can get you some souvenirs on my way back. Or even better, I just happen to pass by a few sex shops...mmmm...they do sell pretty good stuff. Some are guaranteed to give such experiences that will last you a lifetime. Shall I get some toys for you?" Fiona croaked in a throaty hoarse voice as Regan gripped on the phone tightly than normal feeling her knees growing weaker as she gently sat down on the couch bringing her breathing back to normal.

"You alright girl?" Fiona asked in plain innocence.

"Yes, I'm okay. Fiona, I don't want anything from there. All I want from you is to come back home safely. I want you safe and sound and if any changes to your programme, please let us know." Regan said in concern. Though she was relieved, that things are going alright her state of mind was still in the anxious mode pondering about her safe return.

"Alright ma`am. Your orders are strictly followed. No worries. I will come and see you tonight...mmm...should be there by eight or nine. Till then, you take care okay?"

Regan gently agreed and ended the call as she stared at her cell for as if it was her first time looking at a cell phone. Seeing the clock on the cell, she heaved a big sigh and told herself five more hours to go.

"Five more hours to what?" Neil asked Regan as she watched him folding up his cuffs fully dressed up ready to go somewhere.

"Fiona said she will be coming here at eight. The time now is three." Regan told him with a big sigh.

"Don't worry. She will come and drop by our place. I bet she misses you more than you miss her." Neil comforted her as Regan knew how correct her brother was.

Never has Regan shown such anticipation for someone's arrival except for Monica or even her brother when they have gone outstation. Nothing would seem running in her head and all she wanted to hear is the sound of the doorbell ringing at the expected time. But now, the same feeling that she had felt when she missed her dearest ones was coming back again and she was feeling for Fiona.

A few weeks ago after the letter incident, Regan didn't want to be anywhere near her and even if she sees her in public, it was an occasional greeting such as hi' or bye'. Even then, she did feel guilty because that wasn't how she treated Fiona before that event took place. Both were great friends and they did keep a look-out for each other. After Monica's sudden death, it was Neil and Fiona who stood by her and brought her back to reality and helped her out from her loss.

Now, things have totally changed when Regan found out that Fiona was in love with her and that Neil was also a part of this, she hasn't really spoke to him that much. Each time when Neil brings up her love life, Regan starts to fire bullets at him or simply ignore him. As for Fiona, Regan completely kept a distant with her making the both of them feel like complete strangers.

It was only recently that Regan changed her mind and accepted Fiona as a friend again and from then on till now, they had always been the great friends again. But now, it looks likes it's going to change. The more she thinks about Fiona, the more she misses her, the more her heart goes out to her and just thinking about it made her feel breathless not knowing what to do about her thoughts. At the moment, she was feeling all confused. She couldn't help to think about Fiona as a friend nor was she able to think of her as a lover.

"Come on, let's go." Neil called out to her as he slipped his mobile into his breast pocket and looked to see what is Regan fiddling with as she stood all confused.

"Where are we off to?" Regan asked.

"I don't know about you but I just realized it isn't fair to put my stomach under starvation. So let's go and have a bite together." Neil suggested as Regan stared at the floor pondering about it for a few moments.

"No Neil. You carry on. I'm not that hungry" Regan told him as she quickly made a short glance at the clock and turned to look at her brother wearing a grin on his face now knowing the reason for the deadline of the offer.

"Hey girl, come on. I know you are feeling hungry. You can have a lunch date with me now and dinner date with your girlfriend later on." Neil teased as Regan smacked on his arm playfully.

"Ouch that hurts!" Neil whined pretending to be in pain. "I didn't say anything wrong. I mean Fiona is a girl and she is your friend. So that makes her your girlfriend." Neil teased playfully.

Regan couldn't resist grinning at the new meaning he made behind the word "girlfriend" It did sound logical though somewhat lame, seeing her brother feigning innocence battering his eyelashes and began to chuckle among themselves for a while when Neil practically dragged her out to the doorway and told her "Come on, let's get going. We are going to be late for our lunch date." as Regan looked at him with a smirk while she loosened his grip on her arm.

"Hey handsome, but I am not properly dressed for our special date unless you want everyone to look at me like this." It was then Neil took a good look at her and realized his sister was just in a tank top wearing pajama shorts and quickly gave in to her request.

Walking up the stairs, Regan actually didn't feel her appetite growing. Her thoughts were now circulating around Fiona as she turned to look at her brother who was now pondering about which food to order and wanted to give him an excuse to not join him for lunch.

Just as she was about to ask for a rain-check, Neil looked at her with a raised eyebrow, and his hand resting at the side of his hips. She knew by then that there was no way to back out from the offer and the thought of declining his lunch date gradually faded and immediately got herself dressed but she did secretly wished the time would just fly past and her mind was only set on Fiona's and no lunch mode.

"Here we are." Neil said as they entered the cafeteria and saw that there was not much of a crowd as expected. "So would you like to sit here?"

"Any particular reason for that seat over there?" Regan asked softly afraid that she might have asked the lame question but still she wondered why her brother chose that seat when there were many empty seats around the entrance.

"Oh no particular reason. Just that it will be easier for you to see the clock. See, it's just directly opposite to where you will be sitting." Neil said as he grinned at Regan watching her cheeks getting redder than ever.

Neil was very happy that today was a day he actually spent quality time with his sister. With his busy college schedule and also having to spend time with Travis didn't give him much time to really go out with his sister and have fun like they always used to do.

In the midst of their conversation, Regan didn't fail to check the clock that was just opposite to where she was sitting. She was somewhat content to see the time was passing by pretty fast and secretly wished that a miracle would just happen and the next second, the hour hand will stop at eight. Just thinking of that she began to feel her heart race in an unusual speed and her mind wasn't able to focus on the conversation with her brother when he started snapping his fingers in front of Regan's expressionless face not even knowing that it has been quite sometime since Neil asked her a question.

"Huh? What? Did you ask me something?" Regan asked.

"Yeah...you just can't wait for Fiona to show up can you? Neil teased as Regan smiled shyly looking away from his intense gaze.

Neil didn't want to question her any further as he already knew the answer looking at the pink shades forming at the sides of her cheeks. Not to mention, he felt extremely happy that he himself didn't know what it was but there was something in Regan's eyes he didn't see for a very long time and that was love. He didn't see that love in her eyes for Fiona for quite sometime.

Before, he did see the doubt and uncertainty in her eyes whenever he brought the topic about Fiona and knew Regan wasn't all that ready to start a new relationship. Now he did see a slight change in her but he doesn't seem so sure what exactly that is. The food was excellent that Regan decided to get some hand food for dinner for Fiona and made their way to the cinemas after much bugging from her brother. The movie scene did take Regan's mind off Fiona but not for very long that she began to go restless but she managed to keep her patience in check and waited for the movie to end. Thankfully her endurance paid her off and she was content to finally make her way home eager to see Fiona waiting for her.

"Gawd, what a night! We had great time yeah?" Neil exclaimed in excitement as Regan continued to walk down the long pathway with his arms around her waist. Not getting any response, Neil gently removed his arms from her causing his sister to suddenly look at him with a confused grin on her face as she slowly brought Neil's hands back to her waist again and leaned on his shoulders for comfort and peace.

Neil knew her mind was on Fiona's return and talking to her about other things would be of no use knowing that he might not get any response from her but just a simple nod or a smile and continued to walk until they have nearly reached their place.

"It's already nearing nine-thirty. She is not here yet." Regan said sweeping the whole front porch from one end to the other with her eyes. "Neil she is nowhere to be found. Fiona said she will be here at eight and now it's already about an hour late!"

Regan raced into the gates with Neil tugging along with her and searched all over the backyard and the front porch of their house hoping that she might be loitering and be looking for them too. But there is no Fiona. Panic stricken, Regan's eyes began to cloud; she could feel her throat go dry along with her lips and slumped to the ground with a thud.

"Regan! Neil!....yoo-hoo" A voice started calling out to them.

At the calling, Regan immediately stood up and knew the voice belonged to Fiona and started tugging her brother's shirt to get his attention. "Hey, that sounds like Fiona. Come, let's go check." Regan told him and brisked down to the front porch to see if it was Fiona and it was indeed Fiona.

Regan's heart began to race even faster not knowing what the reason was but her mind was in a state of relief just seeing Fiona at the doorstep. Oblivious about both their presence, Fiona began to pace up and down the doorway, at the same time, struggling to keep her duffel bag on her shoulder and peeking in through the curtain clad windows to see if there was anyone and continued to ring the doorbell hoping that one of them would come and open the door.

"Hey, go and welcome her. What are you waiting for?" Neil told her as Regan looked at him with a mean look and he knew his sister is getting amused watching Fiona go all panicky like they did just now as her grin slowly stretched from one ear to the other.

"Girl, come on, she is going to be reaching the panic mode soon. Perhaps she has a reason for dropping in late." Hearing that, Regan was somewhat convinced with his rationale and didn't want to see Fiona anxious as she already looked tired and pale from her trip.

A while later of ringing Fiona sat on the porch and rested herself on the doorsteps but every now and then she glanced through the windows. `Where might they be?' Fiona wondered not even knowing that Neil and Regan are approaching her. Just as she was about to dial Regan's number, Fiona noticed the both of them emerging from the backyard leaving her in wonder.

"What were you two up to?" Fiona asked grinning.

"Nothing much. Regan wanted to check if anyone was buried back there as lately I read in the newspapers of such cases happening around town." Neil replied lamely as the two of them gave him strange looks. "Okay...okay...we came in late after a night out and thought you might have popped in early and might be searching for us all over the house. You did mention you will be here at eight and it was already close to nine when we came back. "

Fiona simply smiled at him but the grin on her face gradually faded when she turned her gaze to Regan. "What happen to your eyes?" Fiona asked Regan caressing her cheeks for a few moments. At the every touch of her cheeks, Regan felt as if thousand volts just happen to pierce through her body back to the ground.

"Err...nothing...just some dust fell into my eyes." Regan replied quickly wiping off her tears but she knew Fiona wasn't that convinced with her excuse when Neil decided to divulge it. "She is just lying. She wasn't to herself the whole day but was only thinking of you and your return and our dear friend would have broken down to tears if you hadn't started calling out for us."

Regan shyly looked away from her gaze and stared at the ground with Fiona not knowing what else to say though she wanted to hug Regan so tightly and comfort her. The same thought was running in Regan's mind. She wanted to just flung her arms around Fiona's waist and nestle her face between her breasts and just hold on to her tight but somehow she managed to put herself in check with great reluctance.

"Hey, I didn't mean to worry you guys. Look, I am very sorry. I miss the stupid train and luckily there was this old lady who helped me out with a lift. She was the one who dropped me here or else I would have caught the next train which is tomorrow but would have let you guys know about the delay in advance." Fiona said as she stroked Regan's arms and looked at Neil with concern. "It's alright. Come on in...you must be tired from the long trip." Regan invited her as Neil helped Fiona with her bags and made her to settle down comfortably while Regan went into the kitchen to get her a drink.

"You go and talk to her. I will bring the drinks and food." Neil said entering the kitchen and before she even got the chance to reply him, he shoved her to the living room. Regan didn't know why on earth was she blushing like this as she walked up to her slowly and why was she hesitating to get close to her when she wanted to hug and kiss her and scream into her ears how much she missed her but she just stood next to her watching Fiona rummaging in her duffel bag for something and finally got what she wanted- a gift.

Fiona saw Regan standing by her with a soft smile and then looking at the gift and back at her and saw the curiosity creeping into her eyes. "Hey girl, sit down." Fiona said patting a seat opposite of her. "Here, this gift is for you."

"Thanks. What is this?" Regan shot a shy glance at her and maintained her gaze on the gift as she tenderly caressed it.

"That's for you to find out. Go on, open it." Fiona persuaded as she watched Neil coming out from the kitchen with the drinks and food that they bought. "Thanks Neil. Ahh...here...this is for you and Travis." Fiona said with a pleasant smile and handed two video games to him as he looked at her with awe not believing in his eyes that Fiona actually did manage to get the latest edition of the Nemesis and just squealed in excitement like a little schoolboy making the girls chuckle softly in their hearts.

It was Regan's turn now to open her gift as she just stood there pondering like as if she has forgotten on how to unwrap her gift. Neil sat next to his sister while Fiona slowly sipped her drink watching Regan slowly peeling off the wrapper and taking out a diamond shaped luminous box. There were many emoticons swimming around and some of them have words attached to them while some others have fanciful objects in their hands. Regan was pretty amused looking at it and passed it to Neil to for him to have a better look.

"There is a specialty in this diamond box." Fiona said as Neil handed the box to her to further explain about it. "This is no ordinary emoticon box. It acts like a mind reader showing how you feel about a person that you are thinking about at the moment." The siblings both looked at her with amazement and continue to observe the box closely. Hearing what Fiona had just said, Regan couldn't believe if it's true or not. "Would you like to test it?" Fiona asked and without a second thought she took the box from her hands and waited for further instructions. "Place your hands at the side of the box. Then think of a person and focus on him or her for just ten seconds."

"So...whose is in your mind?" Neil asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I will think of you." Regan said softly looking at Fiona shyly.

"No worries. She does think of you 24/7." Neil teased as Regan shot him a glare causing Fiona to chuckle as she saw him backing away slowly.

"Okay, you need not look at me but just think of me for ten seconds in silence and one of these emoticons will start blinking for a while with the rest still swimming around. "Now you can give it a try." Fiona said and handed the box to her.

Taking a deep breathe, she followed the instructions given to her by Fiona. Regan stood focused on Fiona's thoughts. For a moment, she was afraid the mind reader will actually read her thoughts but on the other, she couldn't believe that this was true and told herself it's just a prank. At the tenth second, the emoticons rotated around slowly with Regan's heartbeat on high speed. It was then Regan noticed an emoticon beginning to blink slowly. "Oh look! Oooooh...someone is in love!" Neil nudged his sister playfully as she saw the smiley face spewing out little hearts all over with the three beautiful words flashing on its face with kisses and hearts circling around the head.

Fiona didn't know what to say as Regan looked at her with a soft smile and she remained speechless with only Neil making wolf whistles on the background. The both girls continued to look at one another but turn their gazes away when one tries to maintain eye contact causing the other to blush furiously.

"Wow! It's so amazing. It shows accurate results." Neil replied giving a wink to both the girls as Fiona grinned and leaned over to him and pinched his ears hard but not too hard with the girls simply ignoring his whining.

"There, now your brother won't mess with you." Fiona said as she put Regan in ease. "You can try again...mmm...maybe think of another person. Would you like that?"

"Sure. This time I will focus on my brother." Regan said look at his brother with a stern glare as if she is ready to turn him to dead meat.

Again, Regan followed the same instructions given to her by Fiona and began to see the same effects happening to her again. Her mind was focused fully on Neil as both Fiona and him looked closely at the emoticons and saw one of it coming closely to the front when Neil pretended to bite his fingernails in fear and took his drink and began gulping down as he know in a few seconds he was about to find out what his sister was feeling about him at the moment.

And his fear came true when he saw the smiley emoticon suddenly turned hot red with a hammer on its hand and began hammering at nothing.

"That's exactly what I was about to do." Regan told him with a smirk. "But you are lucky that I am in good mood."

Looking into Regan's eyes Fiona adored that fury in her dark green eyes but all she did embrace the friendliness displayed in them. Neil slowly backed away again from his sister's side and seeing that, Regan got hold of his hand and pulled him into a hug with his face resting on his belly.

"I thought you told me you wanted to hug Fiona and throw her on the bed and make sweet sweet love to her the moment she returns. Now you look like a tamed cat." Neil said and looked at the both of them with a childlike innocence.

Regan couldn'believe what she just heard and stood there blushing furiously that she wanted to beat the crap out of him and push him out of the window so bad. "You crap! I didn't say that! Regan asked madly and grabbed him by his collar. But still Neil maintained his cool and innocence and simply looked at Regan and then back at Fiona casually like he didn't say anything wrong or bad but deep inside him; his mean streak took over him again and threw the accusation on Fiona.

"Oh I am sorry. I got mixed up." Neil said as Regan loosened her grip on his collar and he went on, "It was Fiona who said that she missed you and wanted so badly to consummate her love for you. Am I right Fiona? You did say that didn't you?"

Hearing that, Fiona couldn't help herself but to blush at Neil's sudden bluntness. Though Fiona did want to do that to Regan, she was on the self control mode that she walked up to Neil, taking a pillow along the way and without giving him any chance to react, she smacked it hard on his left arm and then his right. Taken aback, Neil started to run around the house like a kid while Fiona chased after him with the pillow screaming at him to take back what he said.

He knew Fiona was very close to catching up with him and he also knew what the his fate would be like if he was caught in her hands that he finally ran up to his sister pleading her to save him before he was badly pulverized. In her mind, Regan did want Fiona to beat the crap out of him but her brotherly sentiments arose and the three of them came to a compromise.

"The next time, Neil teases you like that, I am going to dislocate his butt to his head and there will be no sibling sentiments. You got it?" Fiona asked as she fisted her fingers hard maintaining her glare on Neil.

"No worries and I will be sure to join you." Regan replied saluting to her orders and gave an equal stare to his brother.

Neil looked at them pleadingly with the same angelic innocence on his face and slowly backed away to go up to his room when the girls got hold of him and flung their arms around him and gave a peck on his cheek to reassure that everything they did was meant for fun and no hard feelings. They just looked at each other and began chuckling among themselves for a while to ease the tension between them and got settled in the living room again.

"So, how's your church father doing?" Neil asked as Regan refilled Fiona's empty glass with grape juice. "Not good actually. The doctors have said that they tried their best and he will only live for less than a month." Fiona said with such difficulty like there is a huge lump in her throat and she is trying hard to push it down as tears slowly trickled down her cheeks.

"Hey, it's alright. Please don't cry," Reagan said softly tenderly wiping Fiona's tears away of her cheeks with her fingertips. Taking a deep breathe, Fiona composed herself and smiled softly at the both of them.

"Fiona, the man has accomplished a lot of good things for the people and the kids who came to him for comfort and peace. He led a good life and he will have a peaceful farewell. Living up to a hundred years is a great deal. Not many of us are fortunate in that way." Neil said as he pulled her into a sisterly hug with Regan embracing her brother behind.

Neil was already feeling uneasy sandwiched by two lovely girls that his cheeks turned pink every second they hugged him tightly. Fiona noticed his cheeks getting redder and knew what sort of reactions were going on in his body and her thoughts were confirmed when his gaze met hers and he immediately looked away breaking the embrace both front and back swiftly.

Regan too noticed the glowing on her brother's cheeks and started wondering why but she got the answer when she looked at Fiona watching him with a grin and knew what was going on and the girls just chuckled softly at their already embarrassed friend. "Are you alright? Do you need me to call Travis to help you cool down?" Fiona asked, this time, posing herself as an angelic devil as her lips formed up to a smirk and hand gestured to Regan asking her if her idea was good and then looked back at Neil whose mouth was wide open in disbelief.

"I think silence means agreed." Fiona said as she walked up to the phone but in no time, Neil lunge towards her and grabbed the receiver before she had a chance to take it. Regan couldn't help watching the scene happening before her and Fiona slowly gave up teasing him and knew he would not comp with any naughty stuff and slumped down on the couch with her left leg swung on the hand rest of the couch.

Seeing Fiona sit like that, Regan felt a sudden chill run down her spine and as her gaze slowly moved down from Fiona's eyes to her slightly exposed cleavage showing off her black lacy bra. Her breathing began to go unstable when her eyes took a slow careful walk down her body without Fiona's knowledgement as she was busy grinning at Neil leaning by the wall and began wondering what color would be her panties. Just when she began thinking about that, Neil came up behind her and hugged her from behind and caused her to push away her skimpy thoughts at the back of her head. Bur she was thankful that nobody did notice her pink cheeks and figure out about her thoughts and with great reluctance, she lowly tore her gaze from Fiona and resume eating and drinking and talking for a while.

"Okay guys, it's already late. I think I would make a move." Fiona said as she got up from her seat and went to take her duffel bag. But just when she was about to do that, Neil took it away from her with a big fat grin on his face. "Just where do you think you are going?" Neil asked with a raised eyebrow. "Well smarty pants, I am going home. As you can see it's already getting dark and it will be good I would be home safe and sound before I get kidnapped by some savages." Fiona quipped and tried to get the bag from Neil but he pulled away from her. "Well, you could stay here for the night and no savages will come and kidnap you. So you need not worry and before you say anything about causing trouble or what, let me reassure you that it's no problem for us and we will be happy that you spend the night with us. You could stay in Regan's room." Neil offered his stand and turned to look at Regan who was already nodding her head in agreement.

Not wanting to be rude, Fiona half heartedly accepted the offer and the both siblings noticed her hesitation and after much persuasion, Fiona agreed to stay with them. "Okay Regan, you mind showing Fiona your room. The two of you have no objections right?" Neil asked as the both girls just smiled at each other and went into their room.

Regan walked in followed by Fiona and slowly locked the door as soon as they saw Neil closing all the lights and going into his room. It was the first time Fiona actually saw the full view of Regan's room and she only noticed two differences between the both of their rooms. She could tell that Regan was much more organized and tidy and she has a keen interest in artifacts. Now Fiona's diamond box has become the next new artifact as she saw Regan neatly arranging it with the others that she owned and went into the bathroom to change while she asked Fiona to get comfortable around the room. Fiona slowly walked around the room looking at the Regan's photos assembled on her computer desk and then strolled down to the window to see the view outside. There wasn't much of a night life but she did enjoy the calmness of the trees swaying and the wind caressing her body tenderly soothing her nerves.

A while later, Regan came out and saw Fiona, in her night clothes, sitting on the couch opposite to her bed. "Hey aren't you not ready to sleep?" Regan asked as she sat on the edge of the bed waiting for Fiona to join in. "Err...yeah...I mean...let me use the bathroom." Fiona stammered a moment as her eyes darted everywhere refusing to match up with Regan's intense gaze. "You go on and sleep and I will catch up with you."

Fiona walked into her bathroom and slowly refreshed herself splashing water several times on her face. She didn't feel that comfortable sleeping next to Regan not that she didn't like her presence but she was afraid wondering whether Regan agreed because of Neil's persuasion and made a decision to just sleep on the couch. She waited in the bathroom for a while peering through the bathroom doorway to check if the lights are off and noticed the room was suddenly dark and slowly opened the door quietly not to awaken Regan's sleep.

She slowly tiptoed to Regan's bed and saw the pillows placed for her and just when she was about to reach out for them, Regan grabbed hold of Fiona's hand causing to her yelp but she calmed herself. "Sorry about that. I was awake waiting for you. But, where are you going off kidnapping my pillows?" Regan joked as she slowly got up and turned on the bedside lamp. It was then she knew how beautiful is Fiona's eyes being illuminated by her lamp that sent a spark of fire down her body. Regan stood mesmerized getting lost into her eyes but Fiona disrupted unknowingly disrupted her train of thoughts making Regan to pout for a moment but she got back to her normal self after several callings from Fiona.

"Regan, did you hear what I said? I said I wouldn't mind sleeping on the couch tonight. I do not want us to get cramped." Fiona replied and gently made Regan to loosen her grip on her hand but Regan's grip tightened even more.

"According to our house rules, guests are not allowed to sleep on couches or even on the floor. We offer beds, blankets and pillows and you are supposed to use them. That's only polite." Regan stated as she looked at Fiona with a grin waiting to hear the response from Fiona. "Err...mmm...I didn't mean to be rude but..." Fiona said with a hesitation on her voice when Regan cut into her reply and told her, "Please, sleep next to me. I know why you are uneasy but I trust you Fiona."

Hearing that, she was a little convinced with herself in sleeping with her. But Fiona didn't know whether to trust herself knowing that she was both emotionally and physically attracted to her and she was afraid she might do something that will betray her own self control and also Regan's trust and that was the last thing she wanted to happen. "Stop thinking too much. Come on, sleep in." Regan pulled over her blankets inviting Fiona in as she slowly got in to the side of the bed when a shy grin slowly crept across Regan's lips. "I didn't know you enjoy kissing the wall." Regan said as she saw Fiona snug close to the wall with her lips almost touching it. "Please come a bit closer." She said and nestled pretty closely to Fiona with their bodies just mere inches apart.

The both of them just laid down in silence except for the night noises. They kept looking at each other every now and then and slowly let their gazes loiter around the surroundings of the room waiting for sleep to overcome when out of a sudden, Regan began chuckling to herself softly leaving Fiona puzzled for a moment.

"What's so funny?" Fiona asked as she rested herself on her elbow and leaned over to face her.

"Nothing much...I was just thinking of you and Neil and it made me laugh." Regan told her with a slight giggle. "He has finally met his match." Fiona couldn't help to grin and just watched her giggle like a little girl.

"I miss you Regan. I miss you a lot." Fiona simply blurted out putting Regan's giggle to a gradual halt.

"Same here... I miss you so much." Regan said as she flung her arms around her neck and pulled her closely to her body with Fiona's nose nuzzling her cheeks lovingly. "So that gift I got you did show exactly how you were feeling about me?" Fiona asked softly looking deep into Regan's eyes searching for an answer. Regan didn't know how to answer that but her pink cheeks did answer Fiona very clearly as Regan's fingertips dragged their way to her cheeks to her nose tenderly and stopping at just the edge of Fiona's lips.

Regan's tender touch somehow made Fiona's body immobilized except for her fingers stroking up and down Regan's arms with light feathery touches causing her to let out a soft sigh. Their thighs lightly touched as Regan took Fiona's hand in hers. Fiona looked at her full pink lips and longed to kiss them. She sensed Fiona's desire and moved her face to hers.

Their lips slowly pressed together. Fiona's eyes were closed and her lips parted slightly begging for Regan's tongue to enter. Her hands gently felt Fiona's face as they kissed slipping through and dancing with hers. They kissed furiously like two teenagers as passion took over their bodies.

Regan's hands slipped beneath Fiona's cotton shirt and softly rubbed her bare skin. Her nipples hardened at Regan's gentle touch and Fiona's hands began to roam over her soft curves. Fiona softly caressed Regan's bare back and then caressed her soft hair while they kissed passionately on the bed. But slowly, Fiona removed her lips from Regan's and looked intently into Regan's smoky eyes. Partly because, she was afraid that this passionate kiss might lead to something they might both regret later on but on the other hand, she wanted to show Regan how much she missed and loved her that her body was telling her to give herself to Regan as she was looking at Fiona with a shy smile.

"Girl, do you want some wine? Helps to ease down." Regan asked breathlessly and Fiona replied, "If you having one, then I wouldn't mind."

Fiona's heart was pounding so hard not knowing whether she did like the kiss or is she regretting what she just did. Each time, Regan glanced at Fiona, she would shyly look away from Fiona's gaze and give a soft smile to her causing the both of them to blush.

Fiona settled herself on the coffee table while Regan brought the drinks. Regan knew her brother was a pretty much a drinker so taking a bottle out of the cabinet wouldn't arouse any suspicion and she was very happy for Fiona as she did maintain the promise of cutting down the drinking during Regan's birthday party. Pouring the wine in two glasses, she served one to Fiona and slowly sipped hers gazing across the table into her beautiful eyes.

Regan didn't know what was happening to her and her body as she downed her third glass that she secretly wished the night will never end and will remain like this forever. At the same time, Fiona was beginning to feel the heat of the night trying hard not to lose her self control but it was already too late when she realized her foot was slowly sliding up Regan's calf but she immediately stopped and kept her legs to herself. Regan didn't want the soft caressing of her calf to end as she slowly reached across the table and touched Fiona's hands softly causing her to smile brightly at Fiona.

The wine did eventually put the girls on ease and made them light headed when Regan walked around the table and helped Fiona to her feet pulling her close and kissing her softly. Their bodies were pressed tightly together and the soft flesh of their breasts squeezed tight. Fiona's arms went around her waist and Regan pulled her tighter wanting to become one. Regan kissed her hard with their lips parting and their tongues entwined. "I want to show you how badly I missed you. We better go upstairs before Neil comes down to check on us." Regan whispered softly into her ear.

"Come honey, let's go." Regan slurred feeling the power of the wine taking her over with Fiona tagging along with her up the stairs slowly.

They entered the bedroom and Regan turned to face Fiona. Their lips met again in a passionate kiss while her hands slid underneath Fiona's cotton shirt and she slid it off her shoulders and it dropped to the floor while they continued to kiss. At the same time, Fiona was undressing the beautiful lady before her peeling her long tee from her soft round shoulders until she stood before her in just a white lacy bra and white panties. Fiona slowly kissed her neck and ears while her hands explored her soft feminine curves. Regan gently led her to the bed and pressed her down as she knelt between her thighs. She lowered herself onto Fiona and she felt Regan's warm soft skin pressed against her.

Regan began to kiss Fiona's face and then her neck causing her to let out a soft moan as her lips brushed the nape of Fiona's neck and then trailed down her body. Regan then released Fiona's small firm breasts and began to suckle and nibble on her hard aching nipples. Fiona moaned louder as Regan took the hard nub between her teeth and bit gently.

Fiona's hands roamed over her back and rubbed her silken skin and she lovingly kissed one breast while her fingers moved lightly over the other. Regan paid loving attention to her breasts until she sensed Fiona's desire for more. She slowly kissed Fiona's belly and tongued her navel leaving her totally breathless before settling between her thighs. Regan pulled her wet black panties down over her hips and past her feet before holding them to her face.

She inhaled Fiona's scent and the lewd act sent shivers through her body, Regan looked lovingly into Fiona's eyes as she showered her beautiful face to her swollen mons. Regan's lips touched Fiona's and she melted with passion.

Regan slowly spread Fiona's lips with her fingers and her tongue slid delicious along the outermost fold of Fiona's wet peach. Fiona ran through Regan's soft hair with her fingertips as Regan's mouth brought her to dizzling new heights.

To tease Fiona even further, Regan ignored her clit for a long time, just licking deep into her hole and all around while she savored her juices. Fiona's back arched and she bucked trying desperately to rub her aching clit. Fiona knew that Regan was ready to attach her clit looking at her glossy eyes and in seconds, Regan's tongue attacked her clit like a thirsty kitten drinking milk. Fiona let out a soft yelp at her first contact then settled into the wave of tingling sensations. She brought Fiona to the edge of bliss before backing off causing her to go crazy with desire. Regan's tongue bean to lick her clit again while she slowly inserted her fingers into her warm wet hole.

Her tongue then brought Fiona closer and closer to climax. Her body quivered as she approached the abyss and then as Fiona reached apex, Regan slipped a finger in Fiona's rectum causing a flood of new feelings, Fiona felt her body go stiff then loose and then stiff again.

Wave upon wave of glorious climax shook through Fiona's body as she experienced the most fantastic orgasm of her entire life. Regan began pumping her finger into Fiona's two needy holes and ignored her hypersensitive clitoris bringing about another series of small tremors.

Fiona's back arched and her legs went rigid before the final ripple rolled past her toes as Regan slowly kissed her way back up to her lips and before she passed out to sleep. Fiona wanted so badly to return the favor with more passion and love but looking at Regan sound asleep made her decide to take a rain check.

Fiona couldn't help grinning but at the same time, she couldn't get to sleep properly because she couldn't believe what she was feeling and what had happened. It felt like this happened all of a sudden. Deep inside, she was getting a guilty feeling that she shouldn't have allowed Regan to do that as she was already mildly drunk and she even wondered if Regan knew what exactly was she doing.

But her confused thoughts began to fade as she knew Regan didn't use her up like that but she did it out of love. She knew Regan did have feelings for her but the problem was that she didn't know how to show it and profess her love for her but time will somehow make her feel emotionally attached to Fiona and she was willing to wait until Regan whole-heartedly accept her with a clear presence of mind.

She looked at Regan once more and slowly slipped away from her arms and dressed and went back to the couch thinking of what has happened in just a few minutes. Not that she regretted any part of the love-making but the thought that Regan would regret and not want to see her anymore made her itch her mind mercilessly but a while later, Fiona too drifted to sleep.
