So? sorry about the long wait. My laptop crashed and I lost all the work I had on it? (then I remembered my flash drive?) So I started writing this ALL OVER again? grrr? But! Since finding my flash drive it?s all good now. ~sigh~

Anyway enough of my excuse! Onward to chapter three!

-Back to Ayden?s point of view-

I look at the ceiling and stretch. I?m tired, but I cannot sleep. I look to my left and see Jeremy staring back at me from across the room and sigh. He?s always watching. Sometimes I wonder what is going on in his mind? but then again? maybe it?s best not to know?

Sarah and Brittany have their own room across the hallway from us. Tyrell is in the same room as us, but he has it secluded by a makeshift wall (sheets nailed to the ceiling).

He works us hard, but he always seems? distracted. Of course I?m talking about Tyrell. I have to wonder about him as well. What is his past? He never shares anything about himself. There are rumours about him though. But of course? they?re just rumours.

I?ve heard that he?s one of the oldest of our kind. I?ve also heard that he?s actually insane but kept under heavy medications? I don?t know. I think he?s? sad. There?s something about his eyes that just seem sad anyway. But what do I know?

Then Jeremy? his eyes? they just seem to be hiding something? I just can?t figure out what. I don?t like it though. He?s a good friend, but? meh? impulsive and kind of perverted.

Sarah is sweet, but if you piss her off then you better run fast. She?s a good person and is the person I confide in. She knows all of my secrets, and I know hers.

Brittany is also sweet, but impulsive. I can?t really say much about her except that I think she?s too much of a flirt.

Even with all the brainwashing we?ve been through we still have our own personalities. That?s something that they couldn?t take away.

All of our phones go off at once. Another mission then.

I pick up my phone and read the mission status.

Name: Laura Age: 27 Hair: Waist length, brown. Eyes: Blue Race: Caucasian Offense: Out of work for three months. No children. No job searches found. Criminal record: None Threat level: Low

Address: #211 Laurel street ((AN: by the way? addresses are all made up))

Attached is a picture of her face.

I get up and start gearing up (haha). I put on my shoes and grab my leather jacket and wait for Tyrell to come out and give our orders.

?Alright, who?s up?? Jeremy says as he finishes tying his boots.

?Sarah,? we hear Tyrell say from behind his curtain, before he steps out of his little area.

We then leave the room and meet up with the girls.

-Time Skip-

Sarah is around front of Laura?s house waiting for the signal from Tyrell to knock. Tyrell is at the left side of the house, I?m at the back, Jeremy at the right side, and Brittany is on the roof.

At his signal, we hear Sarah knock on the door, and a moment later the door opens.

?Who are you?? I hear a soft voice ask.

?You are in violation of number #2. I am here? well? you know why.?

I hear a gasp and blubbering which sort of sounds like excuses. Then a scream. Then I hear Sarah?s soothing voice trying to calm the lady down before she kills her. The door closes and I hear muffled sounds coming from inside.

I glance behind me and see a pair of grey, almost black eyes looking at me from the alleyway and jump. It?s very rare for me? for any Vampire to be snuck up on. I should have heard him from at least half a block away.

I stare at him. He stares at me. Our eyes are locked.

?All done,? I hear Sarah say as she exits the house.

I continue to look at the boy with the grey eyes.

His hair is black and purple. Dyed. He is wearing a jean jacket and tight black jeans. Combat boots.

After looking him over quickly, I again look in his eyes.

If my heart still beat, it would be beating a mile? no? four miles an hour.

I should kill him? we are not allowed to leave any witnesses? not allowed to let humans know which person is dying next, or? anything?

I can hear his heart beating fast. He knows what I am. I can see it. But he?s not afraid.

He pulls out a gun and points it at me. My heart.

He nods at me. I nod at him. I?m not afraid of him.

?All ready to go!? Tyrell says. The others must not have heard the boy with the grey eyes either.

Again, I nod at him. He nods back.

I reach into my pocket and drop a paper to the ground.

His eyes widen and I see him quickly put his gun away and reach into his pocket. He hurriedly scribbles something down and drops it to the ground.

?Hurry,? I find myself saying quietly to him.

He nods in understanding. Understanding that? for whatever unknown reason? I?m letting him live.

He then quickly walks away down the alley. I know he?ll come back for the paper I dropped later. I walk to the alley and pick up the paper he dropped and stuff it into my pocket before running around front to meet the others.

-back at the dorms-

I hide in one of the closets on the other side of the compound and take out the paper from my pocket. I?ve been itching to read what the boy said all night.

I know what you are. I don?t know why you spared my life, but? thank you. Maybe you?re like him. If you are? come meet me tomorrow at 8am at the mall. I?ll wait for you out in front. Come alone.

I can?t help but? want to go. The hard part will be to get away unnoticed. Maybe I?ll just say that I?m feeling too crowded and need a walk. Next year is when I?ll be able to leave alone with no questions asked.

I want to see him again.

I also can?t tell anyone. Not even Sarah.

I don?t know why? but? something about him? I have to find out?

AN: well? that?s it for chapter three. I want to add more to it, but I think here?s a good place to stop.
