Introduction: So this is my first shot at writing fiction. I have been reading the stories on Nifty for quite a while and decided that I would finally try to do one myself. I know I know I am definitely an idealist when it comes to some of the details of this story, but I hope you enjoy this!

I will also warn you that this story will develop kinda slowly, as I hate stories that are so predictable. I will try not to give away the whole plot in the earlier chapters.

If you are looking for a quick jerk off, this is not the story for you. Sorry, I know the feeling searching for them ;). Please feel free to send me an email and let me know what you think of the story. As usual, if you are under the legal age to read this sort of material or it is illegal to do so in the region you live in, please hit the red ?x? in the top right corner of your screen now. I retain all creative rights to this story. Any reference to people of the same name is purely coincidental.

This is all fiction, minus the cities and the celebrities.

Special thanks to my best friend Kai for reading each chapter over and making sure it doesn't suck too badly. I love you! I don't know what I would do without you!

If you have the means to do so, please consider donating to keep this fantastic website up and running. I am truly appreciative of this website for allowing me to share my work. Help keep it going for poor college kids like me!

NOTE

I HAVE CHOSEN TO SPLIT CHAPTER 11 UP INTO TWO PARTS! THIS IS PART ONE!

The Wrong Twin - Chapter Eleven A: Date Week, Part 1

Written from Isaac's Perspective

When we returned to school on Wednesday, the entire student body was buzzing about the hockey game. While hockey usually isn't a big sport in Southern California, the success of our team really put a spotlight on us. People ACTUALLY come out and support us. I think the fact that Irvine is one of our rival high schools certainly helps raise the excitement level of everyone. At lunch, for the first time since our kiss, Kayden sat at our table and actually conversed with me. Everyone seemed to notice a difference in his personality. I certainly wasn't tempted to saying anything to him about it, but Dylan broke the ice and informed Kayden that he was glad he was sitting with us again.

I stopped after lunch to use the bathroom, and actually ran into Jake. He kindly offered to rescind his request for a date, but I insisted that I owed him for my horrendous actions over the weekend. Plus I realized I really wanted someone to talk to about my sexuality. I knew I had Kenz, but an actual gay guy would be extremely helpful in this process. I desperately needed some insight on my situation. I informed him that I prefer picking him up at 6. He was supposed to pick me up, but I felt like I should take the lead on the date since I was the one who wronged him. My family once went to a nice restaurant in Laguna Beach, a nearby beach (obviously haha) community, and I thought it would be. I just told him to keep the attire fancy.

The real shock of the day came after the final bell rang. I was on my way to my locker to deposit my books and collect the ones I needed for homework when I heard someone calling my name. I turned to see Kayden following me.

"Hey Isaac!"

"Hey Kayde what's up?"

"That's the first time in a while that you have called me that!"

"Well I haven't really had a chance to talk to you now have I?"

"No I suppose not," Kayden admitted as we reached our lockers, which were right next to one another.

That comment of mine may have been a tad rude, but it was definitely truthful. He had hurt me. "That is actually why I am here."

"Oh really?" I prodded. I was intrigued now.

"Yeah, I am ready to work things out in our friendship. It's about time we air the dirty laundry," he said as he glanced quickly at his cellphone. "We have about three hours before practice, what do you say we grab some Starbucks and talk about things?"

"I think that sounds like a great idea. Bring your pre-calc homework. We can work on it. Then we can grab dinner at the Subway next door before practice. Healthy and quick!" I exclaimed. Kayden simply rolled his eyes at me. I quickly phoned my parents and informed them I wouldn't be home until after practice. My mom was pissed that I wouldn't be there for dinner, but I didn't really care. My friendship, and maybe more someday, with Kayden depended on this conversation going smoothly.

After a short drive from school, I arrived at Starbucks and ordered a Caramel Macchiato. The weather was a tad nippy today, so I decided the warm beverage would be a better selection over my traditional caf‚ vanilla frap. I found a quiet corner away from most of the other people in the coffee shop. The only person near me was a businessman who was typing away on his laptop and listening to something with those noise-cancelling headphones. I figured this was about as private a spot we could find in a public place. I was just worried someone I knew would come in or see us or hear us or something. I was planning on basically coming out to Kayden about now being curious and about my date with Jordan. I sat nervously in the corner, tapping my fingers and sipping my hot drink as I watched Kayden enter the store. I couldn't deny how cute he looked. He was wearing a nice white, thin jacket with a neat, Arabic- looking scarf around his neck. His tight jeans hugged his ass nicely as he smiled at me and got in line to order his drink. I was nervous, but I knew this needed to be done.

"Long time, no see," Kayden remarked with a smirk as he sat across from me at the small two person table.

"It feels like it's been ages," I replied with a smile.

"Alright so let's just cut to the chase. Do you want to start or do you want me to start?" Kayden inquired.

"I will start," I answered. I paused to gather my thoughts before taking a deep breath and beginning to pour my thoughts out to Kayden. "Alright here we go. First and foremost, I resent the fact that you have, on numerous occasions, called me a homophobe. There is absolutely no basis behind that claim. I am the furthest thing from a homophobe. Why did you do that?"

"Well it was partly a defense. I mean let's face it, you haven't exactly been nice to me. I simply assumed that you were. You need to understand, I come from the South. Sure, Charlotte is a big city, but it is still the South. The majority of people there were not very accepting of me. I was terrified that you were that way. I jumped to conclusions, and for that I apologize," Kayden responded.

"Apology accepted. I just wish you would have told me. I would have told you that I was quite alright with your sexuality. That is far from an issue in my mind. I know I am a jock and from ass-backwards Western Pennsylvania, but still. You should have waited," I explained.

"Well I really assumed you were that way after your cold response to meeting Jordan..."

"Oh. That. Well, umm...Kayden there is something I have to tell you," I admitted.

"What is that?" he asked.

"First, before I tell you, you must know that I want this try at our friendship to be free of lies. Full disclosure. Understood?"

"Yes, that is why we are doing this."

"Correct. Also, you cannot get mad at me for what I am about to tell you. I have to tell you this. If I don't, it could ruin our friendship later on," I cautioned.

"Ok I won't get mad at you," Kayden promised.

"As I said on homecoming night, that wasn't the first time I met Jordan. The afternoon after you kissed me, I went to the hockey rink to blow off some steam. As you well know, Jordan's grandpa owns the rink. Well when I was on the ice, Jordan showed up and asked if he could join me. I, of course, obliged.

We did some shooting drills and what not, but I sucked ass. Like really bad. He questioned me, and I revealed to him that you kissed me and I was really confused. He then revealed to me that he was gay, and proceeded to say that I should find out if I was into guys. So....we kinda...." I trailed off. I was staring right at Kayden looking for any type of clue about what he was thinking.

"JUST SPIT IT OUT!" Kayden yelled. I suppose he was slightly angry.

"You promised not to get mad remember," I said. He visibly relaxed a tad, remembering his promise to me. "We just kinda fooled around. I got him off, and he did the same to me. Nothing more I swear!!

Well, ok we kissed too. But he kissed me! I swear Kayden you didn't even know him at the time! I absolutely do not have any feelings for him whatsoever."

He sat there for a good three minutes considering the situation. I just slouched in my seat. Had I made the right decision? I didn't want to begin part two of our friendship with any lies. Jordan would no doubt tell him if Kayde and I ever did become close. Let's face it, Jordan is an asshole. I wouldn't put anything past that dick.

"Ok. My first thought is that I should kick your ass for messing around with my boyfriend. But I guess that would be wrong since we weren't dating. Mark my words, if you do anything with him while we are dating I will kill both of you. That happened to me once, and I was nice. I WILL NOT be nice this time around," Kayden warned.

"I completely understand. I swear on my mother's grave I will not go anywhere near him," I promised.

"I trust you. Don't make me regret it."

"I won't Kayde."

"Good. Second thought now. Are you gay?!?!?!"

"Well, to be honest, I never gave my sexuality a second thought. I always dated girls. I mean sure I fooled around with Dylan once or twice when we discovered jacking off, but nothing more! Then, well, you KISSED ME!!! I was blown away! Like I have never kissed another guy before. You are really a great kisser," I admitted with a blush. "But anyways, that really got me thinking. So then I tried to talk to you.

And you flat out ignored me. Which really pissed me off. But whatever I am over it."

"I never knew," Kayden said.

"You never even gave me a chance, Kayde," I told him in a somber tone. I wanted him to understand how badly he hurt me. I made sure he knew.

"I am really sorry Isaac. I never even thought I had a chance with you. I figured you were as straight as an arrow. I could see the panic in your eyes when I pulled off your lips. I was worried you were going to beat the shit out of me, so I took off and ignored you. It was a foolish thing to do. I think we could still be friends though. I am more than willing to try," Kayden offered.

"Yes Kayde, I would quite like that," I said as I pulled him into an awkward hug over the table. I nearly knocked over his latte.

"So then I guess there is something I need to get off of my chest then, too. Ya know, since we are going with this honesty thing."

"Alright Kayden, shoot."

"There is a reason why Annie wouldn't take you up on any of your advances on her."

"What?!?!" I exclaimed.

"Yeah," Kayden replied, "I kinda told her that I was interested in you after the first day of school. She refused to date you so she didn't torture me. We assumed you were straight. After you were obviously hitting on her, it just confirmed to me that you were straight. That was another reason why I took off that morning. I realized I just kissed a straight guy, which is usually a death sentence. I was especially concerned since I wasn't out to anyone."

"Fair enough. I mean I can understand where you are coming from. I am very concerned when it comes to people finding out. I think I am just curious right now. I don't know if I am gay or not. I might be. I may even be bisexual. Who knows. As for the whole Annie thing, thanks for telling me that! I was worried I lost my game! That was very sweet of her though. A little irritating I must admit, but nice. I would do the same for AJ," I explained.

"Alright, one final question before we take off to dinner."

"Go for it Kayden."

"What are you going to do about your sexuality?" Kayden asked.

"Well, to be honest, I am actually going on a date Friday night!"

"What?! Seriously?! With who?!"

"Have you met Jake Langston from GSA?" I inquire.

"Brown-haired kid? Kinda short? Wears it in a wavy kinda fashion?"

"Yeah, he is a senior."

"Ohhh yeah I know him! He was the one doing tickets at homecoming! He is cute!" Kayden admits.

"Yeah I think so too! Well I kinda hooked up with him at a party we went to in Irvine," I explain. The look on Kayden's face is of surprise and disappointment. "Hold on, I know. Don't say anything. I didn't realize there would be alcohol at the party. I was still pissed about you and Jordan. I drank too much and Jake came onto me. It won't happen again. Dylan already gave me a lecture, no need for two!"

"Alright fair enough. Two more questions now haha. Are you out to Dylan? And why were you pissed about me and Jordan?"

"Well no, but Dylan had to come get me since Jake got pissed at me. He went down on me, and I didn't return the favor," I explained.

"Dudeeee!!!! That is not ok!!!!" Kayden exclaimed.

"I know! I wasn't thinking! I was drunk ok!!!" I argued. "Anyways, he agreed not to out me if I went on a date with him, so I agreed."

"Well good idea! Now the second question..."

"Right. Well, in the spirit of honesty, I am morally obligated to inform you that I had a crush on you. That is why I was pissed off. You didn't talk to me, then all of the sudden had a boyfriend. Not only that, your boyfriend knew I had an interest in you and still went after you."

"Wow Isaac I didn't know you liked me," Kayden said in a quiet tone. I could tell he was fighting some sort of war in his mind.

"Once again Kayde, you never gave me a chance," I said. "But it is what it is, we gotta run! Let's grab a sub and get over to the rink! It's almost 5:30! Practice is in like a half hour!"

Kayden and I grabbed dinner at the Subway next door. We then hurried over to the rink. I ended up cramping a little bit during warm-ups. Eating and playing wasn't a good idea. Anyways, before we left Starbucks, we agreed that our friendship was back and we were on good terms. I couldn't have been more thrilled! All of our issues were put out into the open and explained. We finally figured out why we weren't talking. I was glad Kayde had come around and realized I wasn't a homophobe. I was glad he took my situation in stride and respected my decision to keep my confusion private until I figured out where my true desires with men were.

The following is written from Kayden's Perspective!

Hockey practice was absolutely brutal. It was easily the most treacherous practice I have ever experienced, but not because of what was going on off the ice. Since Isaac and I went from Starbucks right to dinner and practice, I had no time to process all of the information he gave me. And trust me, it was a lot to handle. I had to keep my focus during practice, despite my desires to think about Isaac. I needed to figure out some shit, and soon. I was afraid that if I was off my game, Isaac would sense something was off with me and be concerned it had something to do with our friendship. While he would have been right, I was in no mood to explain what was going on in my head.

When I arrived home, Annie peppered me with questions about my coffee date with Isaac. I put her off at first, telling her I had pre-calc homework to do. Unfortunately, Isaac and I talked so long, we didn't have time to do our homework before practice. I love my sister, but damn can she be annoying!!!!

After I finished my homework at nine, I grabbed a cold cream soda and made my way into Annie's room to talk.

"Alright Kayden, I want to hear all about it!" Annie insisted. I proceeded to tell her all about what Isaac revealed to me. She kept quiet for the most part. I think she was so stunned that Isaac was possibly gay, that she couldn't even speak! That is when I realized that I just accidentally outted Isaac to my sister. I promised him I wouldn't tell anyone! Shit. Fuck. Shit. Shit. Shit. FUCKKKKK!!!!!

"Annie listen! You cannot tell a soul I told you about Isaac! He will fucking kill me!!! I promised him I wouldn't tell anyone!" I yelled.

"Calm your shit Kayden, I won't tell anyone! I promise."

"OK good. Thank you."

"So what are you thinking about Isaac?"

"Well, I was obviously wrong about him. I mean I never thought that he was gay. Or even that he could be gay. I guess I was acting really dumb huh?"

"No shit Kayde. You should have talked to him."

"Oh fuck you Annie you thought he was straight too!"

"Yeah, I will give you that. So what are you going to do now that you know he is in to you?" She inquired. I was afraid of that question. I thought from the beginning that Isaac would be perfect for me, but he was straight. Now that I know he isn't necessarily straight, I was stuck between a rock and a hard place.

"I can't do anything."

"Why not?!"

"Fucking seriously Annie?! I have a boyfriend! I can't just dump him because Isaac may like me! What if he turns out to be straight and I dumped an awesome guy in Jordan because I was just hoping Isaac was gay?" I countered.

"Well, at least you would have tried! I think Jordan is an asshole and Isaac would make a much better boyfriend for you," Annie said.

"Hold on, at first you bad mouthed Isaac after I told you I kissed him. Now you want me to date him? I am so confused by that! Secondly, you don't even fucking know Jordan that well! He is really sweet and cute! Our date was amazing! He really knows how to charm a guy!" I argued.

"Yeah, I've heard about how he can charm a guy. I hear he has charmed quite a few guys. Too many actually. According to some of the girls who know people from Irvine, Jordan is a manwhore. He gets around baby bro. I just don't want you to get hurt is all. I know how bad you felt when Nathan cheated on you, and I don't ever want to see you like that again," Annie reasoned.

"Listen, I know you are just trying to protect me as usual, but I think you are wrong this time. If it looks like Jordan is just in for sex, I promise I will break it off with him. But I refuse to just dump him because of what people say! That is complete bullshit and you know it!"

"Whatever you say Kayden. I am just letting you know what I know about Jordan. Don't you come crying to me if he fucks you and then dumps you."

"That won't happen. I would never allow it. I have had enough. I am going to bed. Good night Annie. I love you."

"Love you too little bro."

Like I said, I love my sister. But sometimes she really pisses me off. This is one of those times. She doesn't even know Jordan!!! Fuckkkk that! Besides, rumors are usually false....right?

Well that is it for Chapter 11, Part One. Look for part two shortly! Isaac goes on his first official date with a boy!!! Thanks so much for reading! Opinions are welcome!
