There's a Prince in the Kitchen Epilogue
Hey Everyone! This is a new short story I wrote. It is complete however I will be posting a chapter every week and not the whole story in its entirety. Please send your comments to jewelofthewestmeadow@gmail.com. You can find another one of my stories, Ark Noah, in the sci-fi fantasy section.
I would like to thank everyone who took the time to read There’s a Prince in the Kitchen, and for emailing me and telling how good you found the it. It really meant a lot to me.
This is by no means the end of the road for Lucio and Julian. And I have quite a story to tell about Dean. I won’t be posting anything for now. If you’ve emailed me I will drop you a note to let you know when I’ll be posting. Thanks so much for your support.

There's a Prince in the Kitchen
Epilogue
MY hands covered my face in mortification. Everyone had gathered in the restaurant: friends, family, employees, and loyal patrons. We gathered before the large flat screen TV. The female program host was introducing my interview to the viewers.
"And now ladies and gentlemen please welcome our next guest, one who has been hailed as America's Prince of Cuisine, author of the memoir cookbook: 'There's a Prince in the Kitchen', Lucio De Luca!"
The studio audience clapped and cheered as well as everyone around me, when my figure appeared on the TV. The stylists had decked me out in dark blue, slim fit trousers and a creamy silk shirt. As a gimmick, one of the producers had put a genuine delicate, silver and diamond diadem on my artfully mussed head.
I had to admit, the result was breathtaking to see now, but during the taping I was not pleased. However I had to put on a happy face when the camera rolled.
"You look amazing," Julian whispered into my ear.
I blushed right down to my toes, still hearing the catcalls of the people around me. Julian chuckled and put an arm around my shoulder. Beside me David, my not-so-new editor grunted in satisfaction. He never smiled, but was wickedly funny.
"That producer was a genius," he declared.
"Turn it off already!" I complained.
"Hell no!" Sarah exclaimed from somewhere behind me. There were good-natured laughs all around me.
Julian turned me to face him, his dark, piercing eyes looking deeply into mine. "You know I loved you from the first moment I saw you right?"
I nodded, he had told. Dozens of times already. His presence in my life had vanquished my demons. I put my arms around him.
"I loved you from the beginning too," I replied to him. "By the way, what were you and Anya planning that day?"
"Hmm?" he grinned. "Our marriage of course."
Oh boy!
