Another landmark chapter, 20. I must say that I didn't think this story would take off quite like it has. I'm not claiming to be the next Michael Crichton or anything, but I feel proud that there seems to be many people who do enjoy it. I'm glad that people can get as much pleasure out of reading it as I do in writing it. I've made some good friends through this. The characters seem to develop themselves in each new chapter, I have had fun with exploring their personalities and look forward to carrying on. Keep on writing to me, please, if you have comments, suggestions or even for just mindless chit-chat, it's always nice to hear peoples views from around the world. wanna_get_lucky@hotmail.com OK so, here's to the next twenty then! Cheers!
Time Will Tell Chapter 20 - Il fait bon vivre!
"OK, turn the wheel now. Danny! Turn the, oh God! What's the matter with you? Why didn't you turn when I told you to? You nearly hit that other car!"
"Because I would have taken out the bumper on the wall on the left! He was over his side of the white line anyway! I know what I'm doing mother." She was being annoying, she'd been taking me for driving lessons since she got back in early January. I still felt nervous but under control. Being a typical mother, she didn't share my belief.
"You're going to crash this car before you can even drive it on your own."
"No, I'm not." Childish I know, but she was treating me like one and I was annoyed with her.
"OK, turn left here. Indicate."
"Mum! Number one, I think I know my way to Conner's house by now. Number two, the turning is at the end of the road and it is far too early to indicate yet, people will think that I'm pulling into one of these houses."
"Don't get shirty with me or I won't take you for driving lessons anymore!"
"Then please just trust me a little bit more, I know what I'm doing. I can drive. Besides, it's my birthday, don't harass me, especially don't threaten me!"
"OK, I'm sorry. Just be careful."
"I am being." Silence, she was letting me drive. I wondered how long it would last.
"You might want to change gear." I did, she was right on that one.
"OK, shall I try reverse parallel parking into that space there?"
"OK, do it carefully though. Keep moving. Further, further, go on."
"Mum! Let me try it please. If I go drastically wrong then I'll let you help, I'd just like to try it on my own."
"OK."
I pulled in next to the car on my left and looked over my shoulder to see when I should turn. I carefully guided the back end of the car into the space and turned the wheel when I needed to straighten out. The space was almost the perfect size to get the car in first time, and I did!
"I'm impressed! Well done sweetheart."
"See, I can do it. You've been teaching me for long enough now."
"Are you sure that you're confident enough to be on the road?"
"Yeah. I think I'm fine, I was actually thinking about booking my test this week."
"Really, I'm pleased that you're that confident, it means that this won't have been a rushed decision." She handed me an appointment card for a driving test for in fifteen minutes.
"Wow! This is for today, I've only got fifteen minutes to get there."
"I know. Conner and I are coming down to wait for you. That way if you fail, which I don't think you will, I can take you both back to his or our home, whichever, and if you pass, you can both go off and I'll go into town."
"Mum you're the best!" I said leaning over and hugging her. She laughed a little.
"Listen though, no speeding, showing off, dangerous driving, drinking, overly loud music and be careful."
"I know mum. I won't do any of those things. Especially drinking. Imagine how that would look, having my license taken off me the first day I'm able to drive. I wouldn't do it anyway, there's no point, I could trash my car."
"Good, keep thinking that."
My mum got out of her side and lifted the seat, Conner leant in and gave me a kiss on the cheek before he sat down. He had seen me pull in and came out to join us.
"Happy Birthday gorgeous."
"Thank you babes."
"I hope you've got a strong stomach Conner, you're in for a rough ride!"
"Oy! You taught me mum, anything that's wrong with my driving is a result of that and a reflection on your own. Remember that!" I joked back
"I'm only teasing and you know it."
I started the engine and revved it a couple of times. You have no idea how much satisfaction the throaty sound of a stage one exhaust gives me. My mini was my baby, right after Conner of course.
"Must you do that?"
"Mother, what did I say about criticising my driving?"
"You're not driving yet, you're making noise, showing off." I grinned accepting that I was and made no further comments.
"He's late back, is that a good sign?"
"I really don't know. They may be in traffic."
"I suppose."
"I'm sure he'll do fine anyway."
"I hope he will. Yeah, he'll pass. I'm sure of it."
"Ah ha! Here he comes now."
"He doesn't look happy!"
"I think he's probably just nervous. He won't know if he's passed or not until he's done his theory part."
"Yeah."
"And if you could pull into that space there Mr. Owen.? Thank you. OK, what we're going to do now is the theory section of your test. Now I'd like you to tell me what each of these signs mean. This one?"
"No right turn." Easy.
"OK, this one?"
"End of restricted limit, national speed limit applies." That's right, I'm sure.
"OK this one?"
"Caution, chipping's on road." That one's right.
"And this one?"
"School children crossing. Caution school children crossing." Wasn't sure how specific I would need to be so I added the word caution as an after thought.
"This one?"
"Road narrows." OK.
"This one?"
"Caution, road deviates sharply to the right."
"This one?"
"Roundabout ahead."
"OK this one?"
"Keep to the left."
"This one?"
"One way only."
"And finally, this one?"
"Lane closes ahead, use left lane."
"OK, that's great. Now if you could answer these questions? Which of these would you check worked on a regular basis? The lights, the electric windows or the stereo system?"
"The lights." I said bewildered. The questions had all seemed to be far too easy so far.
"What are the hours of darkness?"
"Half an hour before sunrise and half an hour after sunset." Or was that the other way round?
"If you were to park on the side of a dark unlit road at night, how would you leave the car?"
"With the side lights on." I think.
"OK, Mr. Owen. That concludes the test. I am pleased to tell you that you have passed." I felt a surge of adrenaline pump through my body. I smiled widely as he shook my hand. "My congratulations, you're a fine driver. OK now, take it easy, remember that a car is just as dangerous as a loaded gun. You can kill people just as easily behind a wheel as you can by holding a gun to somebody's head! Anyway, good luck and well done."
"Thank you. Thank you very much." He handed me a piece of paper that would prove that I had passed my test until I got my license sent to me.
I jumped out of the car and ran up to Conner and my mum. Conner guessed that I had passed and ran to meet me half way. We flew into each other's arms and he hugged me tightly. He kissed me on the cheek again and took a step back. My mum came to me then and bent down and gave me a hug too.
"Well done sweetheart. I knew you would do it."
"Thanks mum."
"This is fantastic! My boyfriends driving." Conner stood there grinning. He was as happy for me as I was pleased with myself. I liked that, how he was as excited for me having passed as he would have been for himself passing.
"OK, I will leave you to it Danny. Remember everything I've told you. Drive carefully. Happy Birthday sweetheart. Ring me if you're not coming home. And have a great day."
"Thanks mum, love you."
"I love you too. Bye."
"Bye."
Conner and I jumped into the car having taken off the learner plates on my mini ready for the first time solo on the road.
"Where to?"
"Anywhere."
"Shall we go meet the others?"
"We have half an hour before we need to meet them."
"OK, what can we do in half an hour then?" I said trying to give the most suggestive facial expression possible.
"We can sort that out when we find somewhere."
"OK, how about the school car park? There shouldn't be anybody there on the weekend."
"I suppose. Yeah we can try there."
I started up my car, ready to drive for the first time without adult supervision. Loving every minute of it!
I sat there and contemplated my life so far. Today was an important day, my birthday, so, important for me at least. Seventeen, I was driving. Wow. I had had a great childhood really, I had a great family too. Even though my parents had split up recently. The most important thing that kept on popping up into my mind though was Conner. I loved him. I loved him so much that I don't know what I would do without him anymore. I'd been placed in that situation for brief periods on two occasions and I regretted them both. One in particular!
Things had grown awkward between Scott and I, worse than awkward with Robbie and I, Sean didn't know that I knew about him and Conner but had seemed to keep his distance regardless (guilt I guess) and Conner and I were fine again. We had been since the incident really. I didn't not trust him, I didn't not trust my brother, I should, but I couldn't. I knew deep down inside that if I didn't trust Conner, then there was no reason in the world for him to trust me. I tried to stop myself from checking up on him and from looking to see if he was in the room if I noticed Sean gone and if Sean was in the room when Conner wasn't there. I told myself off every time I caught myself doing it, but it didn't happen that often anyway. I trusted him. I needed to, had to and could do.
I saw everything in Conner, love, warmth, kindness, beauty, and everything else that you want to find in another human being. He was my best friend, my lover and my soul mate. I was captivated by him. I could look at him for hours, I often did when he stayed overnight at mine, just watching him sleep, so peacefully.
I couldn't deny that there was still something there though. Maybe even subconsciously. An element of distrust. Something that festered in my brain, mocking my blind overriding faith in him, shouting 'he betrayed you, he was unfaithful'. It hurt me to know that he had done. It hurt me more to know that he probably had the same thing in the back of his mind. Our love shone through it though. Not even that nagging thought could stop our love for each other flowing.
In the month that had passed between now and our affairs things had changed in the group. Scott had been spending more time with Robbie. Robbie had been somewhat stand-offish with me, when we were all together he rarely spoke to me more than he had to and never initiated a conversation with me. Scott had become more distant from me too, he talked when he was out with me, when we were in psychology but it wasn't the same as it had been before, our friendship that is. You wouldn't have known to look at us when we were around each other. He didn't phone me hardly anymore (he used to ring just about every night) and we often suffered those uncomfortable silences making us both feel embarrassed to be with each other. I missed the relationship that I had had with Scott before everything happened.
Trix and Trace had a bizarre relationship going on. They weren't as close as they had been. They were more like friends that shagged occasionally than boyfriend and girlfriend. Neither seemed to mind from what I could see though. Trix would often spend an entire evening socialising with different people and return to Trace every hour or so for a kiss and then move on. Maybe it had been that way before and I just hadn't noticed. Maybe it was the love that Conner and I shared that made other peoples shallow (not in an offensive way) relationships stand out. Like I said though, neither of them seemed bothered by it, they were both quite happy from what I could tell so I was cool with it and just hoped that it lasted.
Claire was now going out with my brother, he had asked her out about two weeks ago. They seemed happy together so far, they were enjoying the just-started- dating-thing at the moment. They seemed to be going out more for the sake that they were both single than they wanted to. Sean had never shown any real interest in a relationship with her and I didn't think that he felt any different about Conner. I didn't want to say anything to anybody about it, but Conner had thought the same thing.
Sean and I had lost the close bond that we had shared before, we were more friends than brothers now. Even then the way we acted in front of each other was similar to Scott and I. I had never wanted to lose that connection and intended to fight to get it back, I just didn't know how to approach the problem. Conner couldn't offer me any advice either.
Luke and Kate had become more heavily involved now. They spent less time with the group as well. Our couples had almost shifted their own ways, meeting as a group of friends in school and the rare weekend.
"Danny? Danny! You didn't hear a word I just said did you?"
"I'm sorry, I was just thinking about stuff. What were you saying Kate?" Everybody was looking at me. Everybody was there, it was one of those rare occasions. Even Robbie was there, I think that Scott had forced him to come, I had been pretty sure that he wouldn't want to be here on principle. I was pretty sure he full on hated me, so the fact that he was here to celebrate the day that I was born on seemed likely to have been forced on him.
"I was asking what was wrong with you. You've been sitting there staring into space for over five minutes now, it took a while for you to realise that I was talking to you. What is it? What's wrong?"
"I'm enjoying myself. Here I mean. When we're all out together I mean. I miss this and hate the fact that we're all moving in our own separate ways. I never wanted to lose any of you as friends but it just seems to me that if things keep going the way they are, I will do. We don't hang around as a group enough anymore. Tonight's been good so far, but next weekend it'll be just a couple's thing Friday and Saturday I bet. I'm not saying that that's a bad thing, but I miss the way it used to be you know?" A couple of agreeing nods came from around the table.
"I've been thinking the same thing for a while now too. I think we need to be more together again, as a group that is. It's all well and good that we have our boyfriends and girlfriends but we need our friends just as much and when we spend as little time together as we do, we're losing that sort of comfort we had as a group." I had expected that Trix might agree with me.
"Yeah. I don't know, it's just an idea, but how about we get together every Saturday night as a group and leave Friday as a couples night sort of thing? Unless there's a special occasion or something like that obviously." Scott had surprised me in speaking up. He had obviously missed the group scene too. He got a stern look from Robbie which I picked up on but Scott looked back defiantly at him. Robbie appeared to resign his body language argument and looked back down to the table.
"I agree. I like that idea."
"Yeah me too."
Before long everybody had approved of Scott's suggestion, Robbie had done so unwillingly, but had done nevertheless. It did manage to cheer me up some too. Not that I was upset, I was just a tad melancholic maybe.
Our pizza's soon arrived and we dug in. I had a sudden memory of Trix's sixteenth party that we had had in this very same restaurant. I started laughing to myself.
"What's so funny?" Conner asked smiling at me trying to keep the food in my mouth from laughing.
"Watch. Luke! Luke have you seen what's stuck to the ceiling?"
Luke looked up. When Luke looks up for some reason he unconsciously opens his mouth automatically. I took the opportunity and threw an ice cube into his mouth, he was only on the other side of the table and a couple of people down from me so it was an easy shot. He coughed, of course, and sent the ice cube flying across the restaurant, it landed on the floor by somebody's table without having been noticed by anybody. I was creased up laughing as were everybody who had remembered this having happened at Trix's birthday. Last time he had coughed the ice on to his plate in front of him, so this time the reaction was ten times better.
Even Luke started laughing when he realised what had happened. The result was everybody laughing our heads off. Robbie, Claire and Sean hadn't found it quite as funny as the others, but they didn't know the history. Conner was laughing as much as the rest of us because it was just his sense of humour.
"You bastard Danny! I'm going to get you back with that one day you know." He was still trying not to laugh whilst he threatened me jokingly.
"You remember then?"
"How could I forget that was the same night that Scott was thrown out of Patrick Kingsley's mum's bar for trying to grab her tit!" The laughter started again just as hard as before.
"And when Trix threw up on the bonnet of his mums car and blamed it on his dad."
"Yeah, he doesn't know to this day it wasn't him." It took a while for the laughter to subside but the high spirits were kept up for good now. We were most definitely going to have a good night.
"Robbie, can I have a word?"
"What for?"
"Robbie!" Scott wasn't pleased at his guy's response.
"Yeah, OK." Robbie said resignedly. Scott moved on ahead, all the others were walking in front of us. Although Scott had moved on in front, I talked quietly so as to avoid him listening in. If Robbie felt it Scott's place to know what we spoke about, he could tell him.
"Look, I know you hate me and you have every right to in most respects. All I want to say is that Conner and I are not letting go of each other again. You have nothing to worry about as far as I'm concerned with Scott. You don't have to believe me, but for what it's worth, it will not happen again, ever. I really do love Conner far too much for it. What we did do was SO wrong and I liked to think that I've moved on from it, I hope you can find it in your heart to do the same some day because I don't intend to lose Scott as a friend."
"You finished now?" Spoken coldly, he never looked at me once as we walked along and he didn't look up to speak to me.
"Yeah, I'm finished. I'm sorry it happened, we might have made good friends." I walked on faster now leaving Robbie on his own at the back waiting for Scott to rejoin him.
"Danny?" I turned around surprised.
"Yeah?"
"Happy Birthday. I will get over it, I just need time that's all. I'm coming round slowly." He gave me a half smile, it looked kind of genuine, well as genuine as a half smile can be. It made a huge grin spread over my face.
"Thanks. It means a lot to me." and I rejoined my baby near the front of our crowd. He was walking with Scott.
"Where'd you go?"
"Talk to Robbie."
"To WHO?"
"Robbie."
"Did he talk back?"
"He wished me happy birthday actually."
"I told you he'd come around some time soon." Scott smiled at me as he turned to rejoin Robbie at the back.
"Wow. That's a turn up for the books!"
"I know."
We had been turned down from almost every club in town. I wasn't amused. We'd had the occasional drink in the rare few pubs that would serve us and so was no where near drunk as I had hoped. I was tempted to suggest an offy and sit in the park. We decided to try one last club though. The bouncer on the door, was a right mean looking bastard. I almost told the others to turn away now with the chances seeming slim to nil. We continued our path however and with no queue we were watched approaching the club. The bouncer began to smile as we got closer. I thought he found it amusing that we were even going to try and get in.
We made it to the door finally and I was amazed as Robbie approached the bouncer and shook his hand, they started chatting and the bouncer took a look at us all in succession and nodded to Robbie. Robbie then beckoned us all to go in. I was amazed. I didn't get chance to say anything to Robbie about it since he was already well inside with Scott and Sean. Conner, Trix, Luke and I all went in and to the side where we grabbed the last remaining table in the filling joint. The music was loud but acceptable in volume. I soon made my way over to the bar and started ordering the drinks!
I ran out of money pretty quickly actually. My head was light and my vision was proving difficult to focus. I wasn't too drunk mind. I was very merry but I would remember everything in the morning. Trix was sitting opposite me, he was getting pretty pissed. In fact I soon found out he was pretty much entirely leathered! He fell asleep sitting up and slipped off his stool, much to everyone's amusement. That sort of woke him up a bit though. He didn't seem too bad after that.
"Danny!" I turned to see who had called me.
"Yeah?" It was Sean.
"I need to talk to you. Come with me." We almost had to shout over the music, it had been turned up as the club filled up. Sean led me into the toilets and checked under the cubicles that there was nobody else in there with us.
"What's up Sean?"
"I need to tell you something, but you have to promise not to get mad." He looked worried.
"Sounds important, what've you done?"
"I, err, I want you to know that, err, oh shit how do I say this?"
"Just say it Sean, what's wrong?"
"You know the day when you and Conner split up?" I knew what he was going to say instantly. I was relieved that he had decided to tell me, but a little embarrassed at the same time. And how you came home and Conner went back to his? Well I, err, I went to his and we, err."
"It's alright man. I know." He looked up to me almost terrified.
"You do? How?"
"Keep this to yourself but I did the same with Scott, Conner knows but not many other people do."
"Jesus! Is that why Robbie dislikes you now?"
"It is, but I think that we might be able to sort that out soon."
"Danny, I really am so, so sorry." He was looking rather pale, he had had too much to drink as well which wouldn't help.
"Don't you think I would have punched your lights out if I hated you. Truth is I couldn't hate you, I did the same thing with Scott as you and Conner did."
"Yeah, that's pretty weird. I just want you to know that I never went round there intending for that to happen, it just sort of did and I was powerless to stop it. I wanted to see that he was OK, but things happened and, well, you know. I've regretted it ever since. It did make me realise one thing though."
"What's that?"
"That I'm not in love with him. I don't know how it did that, but I realised it after and that how much I had screwed things up between us all again."
"Sean, don't worry about it. I've had time to come to terms with it. It shouldn't get in the way of my relationship with you. It hasn't with Conner. Besides you're my brother. I'm not going to pretend that I like that it happened, but I understand how it did. It's OK as far as I will not hate you for it, I just hate the fact that it happened."
"Sure. Danny? Thanks." He gave me a big hug and patted me on the back. We made our way back in to the others.
"Danny!" Trix greeted me as though he hadn't seen me for a year, screaming out my name and hugging me like a found long lost brother or something.
"Hey man."
"Danny. We gotta go to the gym together. I'm going to teach you to lift weights at the gym. You gotta get bigger muscles, you gotta go to the gym." He was completely gone! He could hardly move his lips to accompany his words. I think he'd reached one of those moments where he was going to fall over or throw up. I walked a few steps back to the table where everyone was getting up to go. They had already decided that the night was just about over.
I collected Trix as we left he was having trouble trying to walk as well, he was falling everywhere. We made our way down the road, the more drunk members of the group joined in singing along to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody. Well, tried to anyway! They didn't sound too hot. Tonight was the most drunk I had ever seen Trace get. She fell down twice on the way to the taxi rank but managed to laugh it off each time.
Scott, Luke, Conner, Trix, Sean, Claire and I got into one taxi and decided to all get off at Trix's house. We all lived in pretty much the same area, Trix had the most central house of us all though. Robbie and Kate caught the same taxi and Trace could walk home from here, if she didn't fall over too much that is. We said our good byes and hopped into our taxi's and left Trace to make her way home (town was pretty well policed so we never doubted her safety).
"Where to guys?"
"My house." Trix announced proudly, yet drunkenly.
"You know Deerplay Close?" Knowing Trix's response wouldn't suffice I thought I'd be a little more specific.
"Yeah. There then is it?"
"Uh huh." He pulled out and we mostly sat in silence. Conner and I took advantage of the dim light of the back of the taxi and held hands while Trix sat swaying and trying to stay awake.
"Danny?"
"Yeah babes?"
"Where do you want to stay tonight?"
"Yours? My cars there so I could just drive home in the morning."
"Excellent." He smiled again.
"So you think he'll be talking with me soon?"
"I don't know, just don't push him into anything. When he's ready he'll talk to you."
"Yeah, I know. Did your training go OK after school yesterday? I never asked."
"Yeah, it was alright. The other guys were mucking around so I was captaining again."
"Cool. Your side win?"
"Of course! Yeah we did, but I got first pick and I took Usher."
"Oh yeah. So it was a done deal really?"
"Yeah."
"When's your next match?"
"Errr, next Saturday against the hard knocks first eleven."
"Oh, well be careful, they're violent bastards and don't play fair at all."
"I know, why do you ask?"
"I was going to come and watch."
"Are you feeling OK?"
"What, I thought it might be fun watching my Conner run around thrashing the living day lights out of some other team of kids."
"You've never watched me play before though."
"I know, so I thought I might now."
"OK, that's cool. Anyway we have to be quiet now. Do you want a drink?"
"No I want to get in and find the nearest radiator!" He smiled and opened his front door. We walked in quietly both avoiding the squeaky floorboards. We made our way into the kitchen where he made us up a ham roll each. We sat eating and talking quietly about random things.
"You wanna head up?"
"Hell yeah! Spread 'em babes."
"Upstairs you pervert!"
"Oh, well OK but you gunna spread 'em anyway?" I grinned cheekily at my giggliing Conner.
"Hell yeah! It's your birthday, oh well it's actually not anymore. Shit!"
"What?"
"I didn't give you your present on your birthday."
"Babes, I told you that you didn't need to buy me a present."
"I know, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to does it? How could I not? Come on."
Conner guided me up the stairs to his bedroom. He sat me on his bed and closed the door behind him. He handed me a small flat box and watched as I opened it. I opened the box and pulled out a silver picture frame with a photo of the two of us hugging in it. The frame had 'Love you always Danny' inscribed along the bottom. It was so sweet! I looked up to him smiling and his own smile spread quickly across his face.
"You like it then?"
"I love it babes, thank you so much." I set the frame on the bed beside me and pulled Conner towards me. We placed our arms around each other and our lips opened to meet each other in a sweet kiss. I love the way Conner kisses me, it's so special, loving but desperate. I love the way he tastes, the feel of his soft lips against mine, what he does with his tongue and the feel of his warm breath soothing my face. He just blew my mind with every kiss we shared. He pulled back and looked lustfully into my eyes.
"Is there anything you didn't get for your birthday that you wanted?"
"Dirty boy!" I giggled at him, already turned on by that one kiss. He giggled back himself.
"I want you Conner, I want you now. I want to feel you inside me baby."
"Whose birthday was it again?" He grinned cheekily.
"Fuck me Conner." He looked at me with a hint of surprise in his eyes.
"Are you talking dirty to me gorgeous?" He smiled.
"Hell yeah! Just do it, I want it, a sort of animal sex type thing, the sort of thing you'd expect on a one night stand. You know, fuck me. Good and hard."
"You sure, I don't want to hurt you."
"If that happens then it's what I want."
"You sure?"
"Oh yeah!"
"OK."
He started kissing me again. It became a really urgent kiss, pressing into each other as hard as we could and good grief did it turn me on. It did the same for Conner, I could tell. He began frantically pulling my shirt up, separating our lips to pull it over my head having undone only a couple of buttons. Having done this he began to pull his own shirt up and over his head, it kind of messed his hair up a bit giving him this real desperate look that only tuned me on more. I pulled him back down to my lips and felt his taught, hard chest with it's warm skin leaning down onto me, I could feel his heart beating and his chest expand as he breathed heavily. As I held him down on me with my hands on his back he used his arms to start taking my trousers off, I'm not quite sure how he managed it, he did nevertheless.
He sat up on his knees and took his own trousers and socks off as I took off my socks. We never lost eye contact whilst our lips were apart. As soon as he had revealed all the beauty of his naked body he leant back over me and reconnected our deep and passionate kiss. I lifted up my legs and he positioned himself to start fucking me senseless.
"Are you absolutely sure?"
"Don't stop, no matter how much you think it hurts, don't stop babes. I want this."
"I don't want to hurt you though."
"Do it for me then babes, don't think about it. Just go for it please."
"OK."
He pushed hard suddenly, plunging his manhood deep into me. I won't lie, it felt like I was on fire inside. I bucked up from the pain and let out a loud groan.
"That's it I'm not doing this." He started pulling himself out of me, it felt like all of my innards was following with him. I groaned again as he pulled past my prostate sending another bolt of electricity through my body. I quickly reached down and grabbed his ass pulling him back into me hard again. I looked at his face and saw the expression on it. He was enjoying this! I was too, the pain was incidental, harsh but, well, sexual.
"Don't you dare stop, this is too good." He obeyed. He didn't take it easy one bit, he just thrusted into me over and over again as fast as he could from finish to end. It was an incredible feeling, painful but fantastic. I was seeing stars in front of my eyes and shivering with the pleasure his throbbing dick gave me every time it tore against my prostate. I could hardly breathe, the ecstasy stunned me. I looked at Conner, his face all screwed up as if he was concentrating really hard, his perfect body towering over me and he looked, so, so, so damn masculine! It drove me wild. I couldn't hold in the cries much more, I pulled him down on me and connected our mouths so that my cries came out as not much more than muffled whimpers through my nose. Our kiss was hard to keep going mind you, Conner was moving around too much. Each time he slammed back into me he sent tidal waves of pleasure coursing through my body, making my legs tingle, my ass hurt and my mind go numb. Our sweat intermingled and he carried on, banging in and in and in to me. His whimpers began to increase in volume and his rhythm became more erratic. Eventually he pushed deep into me, one last time, hard and fast. He cried openly as his orgasm made him collapse down onto me, undoubtedly if his parents were awake, they would have heard that.
Conner laid on me almost gasping for air with his eyes closed tight. He couldn't catch his breath, neither could I mind.
"Wow! It never felt like that before Danny!"
"You're not kidding!"
"Are you hurting?" He managed to look up to me, sweat still rolling down his forehead.
"Numb I think is the best description, I sort of got used to it but it's left me feeling numb."
"I'm sorry."
"Don't be. I liked it."
Conner slid his way down my body. He didn't stop until his warm breath was exciting my already aching cock. I felt one of his lips brush gently against it causing me to arch my back. I was ready to explode! He read my signs and took it in his mouth after that. The hot, silky soft lining of his mouth almost made me cum straight away, I knew that I wasn't far off because of the sex we had just had. Sure enough after only a minute or so my hyper sensitive cock began to make it's intentions clear. I felt that warm feeling grow in the pit of my stomach, spread down my legs until finally I let go with an earth shattering orgasm that made me call out. Conner didn't seem affected by our noisiness, he wasn't bothered. He just made sure that he got down every last drop of my cum which was spraying out in what felt like bucket loads. Eventually my cock halted quivering and I was left feeling amazing.
Conner crawled his way up to lie next to me, pulling the covers up on his way. He covered us both up, and lay down wrapping his arm and leg over me. Both still naked, me still incapacitated from the explosive orgasm that had just almost paralysed me it felt that intense. We lay there with him holding me tightly.
"I love you so much Daniel Ashley Owen."
"I love you too Conner Ross Shears. I really do." Not long after that I fell asleep.
"Hey Danny."
"Oh! Hey James." James and I had talked with each other more often than we used to in English now. Since he told me how he and Ryan had been going out for some time I felt that it was easier to talk with him. We had more in common than I had realised, we didn't discuss what we liked, in school obviously. That's a risk that cannot be taken! We talked more though. He was a sound guy, good sense of humour and all that sort of stuff. He was reasonably good looking, I didn't really take that into consideration though. I had Conner, I didn't need to know who was attractive and who wasn't anymore. But, yeah, he was reasonably attractive. Possibly one of the most sexually undeveloped guys in my year group though. His voice was still alarmingly high considering his age. He was one of the younger in the year though too so that may explain some of it.
James was only in my English group now, he had been in psychology at the beginning of A-levels but dropped out when he realised that it wasn't a course for him. He had started to sit next to me, the other side of me from Hannah's seat.
"Danny, what are you doing this weekend?"
"Nothing planned for Saturday yet, why?"
"Ryan's having a party, he suggested I invited you, Conner, Scott and that other guy." He and I both knew very well that by other guy he meant gay lover!
"Sure I'll run it by them but count me in."
"Cool. Should be good. I'll tell you more in Thursdays lesson if that's not too late."
"No that will be fine."
"Hey guys, has anyone seen Ryan and James?"
"Uh, James. I don't think I've seen Ryan though. James was in English in periods one and two with me and he will be in psycho with me next but I haven't seen him this break. How come?" I was curious.
"I just needed to talk to them about something."
"Toby, you going to run in the house cross country team this year?" Trix spoke up seeing that Toby was about to leave.
"Yeah sure. Why not huh?"
"That's cool, I'll put you froward then. Hopkin wants the teams by Friday so if you can think of anyone else who could be on the team give me a shout yeah?"
"Sure Trix. Has Hopkin chosen who's replacing Dennison yet? There's a match next Saturday isn't there?"
"Yeah we're playing Bedales with a fucking striker missing unless Hopkin gets his act together."
"It'll be Shears probably won't it? He wouldn't take Porter after that shit house match last week."
"Yeah, he's a good player. I think Hopkin was worried because he's still in year 11 you know? There'll be a few disappointed strikers in the sixth form probably. Shears could do it but he'd piss people off by being able to if you know what I mean."
"Yeah, probably."
I listened fascinated. It was truly surreal how when guys started talking about sport, they abandoned all use of Christian names calling the sportsman by their surname only. The way that they started talking about scenario's and tactics impressed me, but also made me wonder how much of their spare time they thought about that sort of thing and how they could get so interested in it. I had never really been a sporty type, I played football with the lads and stuff like that, but that had faded out with age as well now. I couldn't really be bothered, it wasn't that much fun for me.
"Hey Danny?"
"Yeah?"
"Might be seeing more of you down the pitch if Conner gets picked I bet!" Toby said it with a smile on his face. I had told James which of my friends knew about me, he must have told Toby or else he wouldn't have said anything in front of Trix. At least I hoped he had otherwise Toby would appear to be spreading my secret all over school.
Trix looked at Toby with wide eyes. He was stunned that he had come out with that comment.
"Too right I will be!" I answered. Trix turned his eyes to me now, still looking seriously confused. "He knows about me. James tell you Trix knew?"
"Yeah."
"How did James know?" Trix was really quite confused now.
"Sean told him."
"What? Why?"
"Because Ryan Turner told Sean that he was going out with James."
"Stoughton?"
"Uh huh."
"You never told me any of this. Where do you fit in this Toby?"
"James told me a while back because we've been best friends for years so he wanted to me to know."
"Right, so that's Danny, Conner, Scott, Robbie, Ryan and James. Jesus, it's like these guy's are magnetised to each other! They all know each other and hang around each other. And that's before they know that each other are gay even. Hmm, that doesn't actually say a lot for us now does it I suppose Toby?" Toby laughed.
"I suppose not. Well as long as we know where we stand."
"Yeah."
"I'll see you later guys."
"Hey babes. We've been invited to a party. Ryan wants us, Scott and Robbie to come along."
"What is it? A gay party or something?"
"I don't know, I guess he'll be inviting other people, but I don't really know. They said they'd tell me more on Thursday when they had a better idea as to what was going on."
"That's cool, count me in then."
"Excellent."
"I think that I might ask Ryan or James to invite Robbie and Scott themselves though. I don't want Robbie to get upset if he thinks that I'm trying to take up all his personal time with Scott. He's just starting to forgive me now so I don't want to ruin that do I?"
"No, I don't think that it would be in your best interests."
"You coming to Mitchell's after school? I'll buy you one of those milkshakes you like." I knew that there was no real need to persuade him, he always came down to Mitchell's after school.
"I'm sorry gorgeous, I can't. Hopkin wants to see me. I think he might have found my gum shield, I lost it after hockey at the end of last week." I suspected that it was more likely to do with being asked to play on the school first eleven. I was feeling so proud but didn't want to build his hopes up in case I was wrong. "What? Why you smiling like that?"
"I was just thinking about you babes." It wasn't really a lie, I didn't want to have to do that, I just left out a lot of the more revealing information.
"You flirt! No, but I'll see you later tonight though. Will it be OK if I come round?"
"Yeah about seven? Gives me time to finish my homework that way."
"That sounds cool. OK love you babe, I have to run. I'll be late."
With that Conner ran back into the school. I took my time because I had a free anyway so I was just going to go and sit in the common room with the others.
"Hey guys."
"Danny, come take a look at this." Trix was excited about something. He guided me to the notice board. He stood and waited for me to realise what he wanted me to see, scanning the board I had no idea what it was though.
"What am I looking for?"
"Stupid! This." He pointed to a hand written notice pinned up and written on A4.
"You're joking right?"
"Why not?"
"What? You expect me to sing in front of the rest of the sixth form?"
"You sang it front of complete strangers about a month ago, remember? Outside Conner's house?"
"That was different. Besides, we haven't got a band Trix."
"You singing, right? Me on lead, we could get Trace to do rhythm, your brother has a bass and Conner on the kit. That's a band."
"Trix the Valentines Ball is two weeks away, do you have any idea how much practice that would take to get, what an hours session even half ready? That's what they say they want, at least on hour. Besides I wanted to go with Conner. I can't if we're playing all night."
"You can't go with Conner. Not without people thinking something's up. If he was playing then nobody would suspect a thing."
"I never even thought about that."
"That's what worries me, you aren't being careful enough anymore. You're becoming too careless, like with Toby, James and Ryan knowing. You can't tell if they're going to run off and tell people about you can you?"
"No, but that's different they're gay themselves, they would have no reason to run off and tell people, I could do the same. Plus Toby hasn't said anything about James and Ryan, why would he about me?"
"Just be careful anyway. So what do you say then? We gunna be a band?"
"If the others agree then yeah. OK."
"Fantastic, Trace already said yeah so there's only your brother and Conner to ask now."
"Am I doing that or do you want to?"
"I'll do it because you'll probably talk about it so that they don't want to do it."
"You know me far to well, you going to see this Ian guy about auditioning then?"
"Yeah sure. It'll be fun."
"Only if we don't fuck up and make complete arses of ourselves live on stage in front of the rest of the sixth form. What we going to play too?"
"I have some ideas."
I was more excited than I let on, it was something that I would probably enjoy doing. I was nervous though. It should be fun at least being a part of a band even if we didn't make it in time for the ball. Besides if we did it meant that I got to get Conner into the sixth form ball without anybody suspecting anything they shouldn't. That would be an excellent bonus!
