Chapter 3

Rectified Paths

Kolby checked his watch as he walked closer to the restaurant, the time eleven-fifty.

He saw a "Closed" sign on the restaurant's front door, walking up to it, looking confused, feeling the door open when he pulled the handle.

He walked into the building confused.

He was met by Stephan, whose arms went around him, hugging him tightly.

"Glad to see you're okay, Kobe!" he said, breaking his hold on his friend.

"I'm fine, Steph.  Why's the restaurant closed at this time of day? And why am I here? Why's Mr. Struthers wanting to see me?" Kolby said, Stephan smiling at his usual directness.

"Chill, Kobe. All in good time. A few other friends want to talk to you." Stephan smiled, taking his arm in Kolby's, guiding him towards the front booths.

Kolby's eyes widened in surprise seeing all the restaurant staff seated at the booths, all rising when they saw him.

They all walked up to him, some hugging him, some shaking hands with him.

Anton smiled, patting his shoulder.

"Glad to see you're okay, Kolby. That was a nasty bit of stuff yesterday." Anton said, Kolby still looking confused, one of the kitchen ladies kissing his cheek.

"We were all upset with what happened. You deserved none of that." she said, Kolby nodding.

"Why are you all sitting around a closed restaurant?" he said, Stephan tapping his shoulder from behind him.

"All in good time, Kobe. Right now, another person wants to chat with you privately." Stephan said, pointing toward the farthest booth across from the kitchen.

Kolby saw a figure standing there, Stephan gently pushing him between his co-workers, Kolby and Stephan walking up to the last booth.

"Good afternoon, Mr. Chalamet. What are you doing here?" he said, Timothée smiling at him, Kolby genuinely surprised.

Kolby took in his casual looks, the actor wearing a gray polo shirt and faded blue jeans.

"Good afternoon, Kolby. Just waiting for you. And please, I told you it's just Timothée. Please sit down and let's talk." he said, pointing towards the corner booth.

Stephan guided him to the right seat, pushing him down into it after he removed his jacket.

Timothée sat down in the left seat, Stephan sitting down beside Timothée.

The booth was smaller, an intimate corner they'd usually reserved for couples.

The other staff members returned to the other larger booths, the three now private.

"Thanks for coming, Kolby. Stephan wasn't sure if you would. But I take it his texts got you intrigued?" Timothée smiled, Kolby staring into his green pools.

"Yes, I was surprised Mr. Struthers wanted to meet me. Is he even here? This looks like some kind of setup."

Timothée lightly laughed, Kolby liking his melodic laugh.

Stephan smiled at him, nudging Timothée.

"Told you he'd think we were setting him up. Like I told you, do I know him, or what?"

"Yes, you apparently do, Olivia's bitch!!" Timothée smirked, Stephan laughing.

Kolby looked surprised by the two joking with each other like old friends.

"How do you know about Olivia?" Kolby asked, Stephan smiling at Timothée.

"Timothée and I had a great chat last night. We met down at Chandler's Pub. And yes, Mr. Struthers is here. And he indeed wants to talk to you. Right now, he's tied up with some other gentlemen." Stephan smiled, Kolby looking confused, staring at Timothée.

"You talked to Stephan last night in a pub?"

"Yes, Kolby. I called Stephan and we had a private discussion away from the restaurant. We had a lot to discuss and most of it surrounded you." Timothée smiled, Kolby looking at Stephan again.

"I don't understand what's going on here." he softly said, Stephan's hand going on top of his.

"What's going on is the righting of the path. Someone's being called to justice, and it isn't you, Kobe. Relax, my young friend. I can see the wheels turning in that confused brain of yours. Just calm down and go with the flow. What's happening here today is all thanks to Timothée here."
"With a lot of help from you, Stephan." Timothée said, the maître de smiling, patting Timothée's shoulder.

Their conversation was interrupted by the kitchen door swinging open, two uniformed police officers walking out of the kitchen, Mr. Carson standing between them, his hands in handcuffs.

Behind him walked another man, that man carrying a pile of computer paraphernalia.

Kolby's eyes widened in surprise, he and the other two men rising from the booth seats.

Carson looked like he'd aged twenty years.

His eyes shot towards them, the man lowering his head, the two policemen guiding him out of the restaurant, the other man following. All the staff were on their feet, watching them leave, a few smiles showing on the younger faces.

A well-dressed man walked out of the kitchen, his silver-gray hair belaying his true age, his face a rugged mix of smoothness and rugged good looks, a mustache and beard showing.

"Ah, this must be the famous Kolby! Good afternoon, Mr. Wentworth." the man said, walking over to the three, his eyes glancing at the rest of the staff.

"Please, everyone. Take your seats again. We have finished putting out the trash." he smiled, his blue eyes meeting Kolby's green, the young man staring.

"Mr. . . .Mr. Struthers. Good afternoon." Kolby said, the man shaking his hand.

"Good afternoon, Kolby. Please take your seat again." Mr. Struthers smiled.

Timothée guided Kolby back to his seat, sitting down beside him, Stephan sitting across from them now.

Mr. Struthers looked around the room, all eyes on him.

"As you've just seen, Mr. Carson has been arrested and is no longer employed here. The day has been very eventful, to say the least. I received a call last evening from Mr. Timothée Chalamet, seated here, informing me of what had transpired in my restaurant yesterday. The altercation and subsequent firing of this young man, whom you all know. It was also brought to my attention by Mr. Chalamet of what else was transpiring behind my back. The nefarious dealings of your manager, Mr. Carson. I arrived this morning, meeting Stephan here at Mr. Chalamet's request, the three of us going over the accounts and ledgers of this establishment. Stephan easily showed myself that Mr. Carson had been robbing me blind."
Kolby looked shocked, as did most of the staff, Stephan and Timothée trading knowing looks.

"Stephan had happened upon the discrepancies in the accounts, Carson having hidden them very well. I had no clue what was going on. This diligent, trustworthy young man took it upon himself to expose this travesty to Mr. Chalamet. I am deeply grateful for his courage." Mr. Struthers said, bowing towards Stephan, all the staff clapping, Stephan blushing.

"I had to expose the man's deceit. He was even stealing from our well-earned tips, guys." he said, the staff looking amongst themselves, shock showing on their faces.

"That will be rectified immediately. Everyone here will get a hefty raise to make up for that."
Everyone was on their feet applauding more loudly, Kolby remaining silent, Timothée looking at him.

"Stephan, if you please, come stand with me." Mr. Struthers smiled, Stephan rising to his feet, walking up to Mr. Struthers.

"For your honesty, professionalism and devotion to this establishment, I am naming you the new manager in training. With a hefty raise of course!" he smiled, Stephan looking shocked, the two shaking hands, Timothée and Kolby now both clapping along with everyone else.

They all rose to their feet, everyone congratulating Stephan, the young man blushing, Kolby the last to hug him, the two breaking their embrace.

"Well deserved, my friend. You'll be outstanding at that job. This place will now be in your fine hands." he smiled, Mr. Struthers' hand going to Kolby's shoulder, the young man turning, everyone surrounding him.

"As for you, Wentworth–and that's the last time you'll hear a staff surname in this place–I hereby, as owner of this fine establishment, void and nullify your firing here yesterday. No blotch will show on your record. You were falsely accused; Mr. Chalamet's testimony validates that terrible truth. Welcome back, Kolby. And welcome to your new job as our new daytime maître d. If you want it, that is?" he said, patting Kolby's shoulder.

The applause was on again, Kolby looking shocked, hugs, handshakes and kisses given again, the young man blushing, Timothée the last to give him a quick hug and a handshake.

Kolby blushed, feeling the man's warmth against him during the hug.

"Thank you...thank you Mr. Struthers. I...I wasn't expecting this. Yes, I'd love the promotion. I love working here." he said, Stephan smiling, patting his shoulder.

"Long overdue, Kobe. We're going to make a great team. All of us." he smiled, looking around, everyone clapping again, even Mr. Struthers.

Mr. Struthers smiled around at everyone, his face taking on a more somber serious look.

"I'm sorry, everyone. I have been a busy man and I've lost sight of much of what I control. I assumed that this place was running smoothly and efficiently, not having heard anything questionable. I see that most of that success was due to all these exceptional employees surrounding me. From now on I'll be visiting more often and working with all of you. But I do believe the place will indeed be in good hands now."

Everyone clapped, the man smiling.

He clapped his hands together and grinned.
"Right now I'm famished! The restaurant will remain closed for the rest of the day, so the new management can take a breather. You'll all be paid full wages for the day. I hope right now someone will be kind enough to feed me?" he smiled, Jacob, the head chef, smiling widely.

"Come on lads, let's get cooking. Then we can relax. The wife will be happy I'm home early."
Mr. Struthers laughed, asking Timothée, Stephan and Kolby to join him for lunch.

The four smiled, sitting down in the larger booth.

The four had finished their meal, light talk flowing throughout.

Mr. Struthers had insisted they call him Henry, the four chatting happily.

He had turned out to be a jovial, intelligent entrepreneur.

They now sat together finishing their iced teas, the chef having outdone himself with their lunch fare.

"This is why I bought this place. The atmosphere, the staff, the fine cuisine. I've forgotten that." Henry smiled, looking around, Stephan smiling at him.

"That is what this place always was, Henry. Kolby and I will continue it the same way." he said, Henry smiling at the younger man.

He looked towards Kolby; Timothée traded looks with the older man.

"Kolby, I also heard from Stephan how Mr. Carson treated you, and what he tried to do to you yesterday. I'm deeply sorry you had to endure that. You're an intelligent, decent young man to get yourself out of that predicament."

Kolby blushed a little, not looking towards Timothée.

"I won't let anyone treat me in that way. You should know from the start that I'm gay. That didn't give Carson the right to intimidate me into bowing to his lecherous demands. I won't let anyone force me into that." he said, lowering his head when he saw Timothée quietly looking at him, all three men looking at him.

He raised his head again, focusing on Henry.

"I hope my personal life won't deter you from keeping me on. I'll understand if it does." the young man said, Henry smiling at him.

"I gave you this new job not based on your personal life but based on your experience and your own self. This morning Stephan gave me a few phone numbers of some regular customers. They all vouched for your integrity, warmth and friendly attitude. You've all created a spot here for them to unwind and relax. You, my young friend, are an outstanding employee. I wouldn't want anyone but you and Stephan running this place." he smiled, Kolby softly blushing more, Timothée quietly looking at him, Stephan smiling widely.

"You can count on us, sir!" he said, nodding towards Kolby.

"Yes, sir. You can count on both of us." Kolby smiled, Henry smiling widely, a dinging sound going off from his suit jacket.
"That will be my office." he said, pulling out his cell phone, looking at the text.

"I'm sorry, gentlemen. I have a board meeting at three. Unfortunately, I must leave. Charge this meal to my account, Stephan." he said, rising from his seat, the other three sliding out of the booth, rising to their feet as well.

"You'll both see me tomorrow morning. I want you both to show me all aspects of this business. And you'll both see what your new title entails." he smiled, shaking all three men's hands, the older man smiling at Timothée, looking at Kolby.

"You have great friends here, Kolby. Timothée went to bat for you. As did Stephan."

"That I now see, sir." Kolby smiled, looking at Timothée, the actor smiling back at him.

The older man jovially walked out of the restaurant, saying goodbye to the remaining staff as he walked past them.

"Let's call it a day, guys. Time to lock up." Stephan said to everyone, all smiling at him.

Kolby smirked, patting Stephan's shoulder.

"Taking over already, Steph?" he smiled, Stephan smiling at him.

"You have the day free, guys. See you all tomorrow at your regular shifts. Olivia's going to be flabbergasted when she hears about this!" he grinned, Timothée grinning, slapping his back.

"As Kolby said, I think it's greatly deserved." Timothée smiled, Stephan beaming, the young man hugging him tightly, Kolby watching the two embrace, then step apart.

"Thanks for all you've done, Timothée. Giving me the courage to tell Henry and helping set things right for Kobe." he said, genuine thanks showing on his face.

"I could do no less. For both of you." Timothée smiled, looking at Kolby.

Stephan smiled, walking towards the front door, saying goodbye to the rest of the staff as they departed for the day.
Timothée looked at Kolby, the young man quietly staring at him.

The actor walked over to the booth, picking up his and Kolby's jackets, handing him his.

"We should be going as well." he said, Kolby nodding, putting on his jacket, the young man staring at Timothée.

"Timothée, I need to..." he started to say, Timothée's finger going to Kolby's lips.

"We'll talk outside, my friend." he smiled, the young actor walking over to Stephan at the door, shaking his hand, giving him another hug.

"Good luck, Mr. Manager! Olivia's got one talented bitch!" he grinned, Stephan laughing again, punching the actor's shoulder.

"And Kobe and I have gained a new twisted friend. Thanks for everything."

Kolby smiled, hugging Stephan now, the two men walking out of the restaurant, Stephan staying to lock up.

"See you at eight tomorrow, Kobe." he smiled, closing the door behind them.

Timothée and Kolby looked at each other, Kolby blushing softly.

"I need to thank you, Timothée. This was such a surprise. I wasn't expecting this. You didn't have to do that." he softly said, Timothée's hand going to the young man's shoulder.

"I couldn't stand by and let you bear the blame for what happened. That was all Carson's fault and Harry's. I haven't talked to him yet, but he'll get some more strong words from me. I'm just glad my gamble worked out."

"You're going to have to explain all this to me. I still can't believe it. I'm going to be a maître d!" Kolby smiled widely, Timothée smiling at seeing his happy face.

"There's the look I needed to see. All well worth it."

Kolby smiled, looking around the street.

"I won't keep you from your day, Timothée." he said, reluctantly sensing their time together might be at an end.

"My day is empty. I'd organized it that way." Timothée smiled.

"Where's Kylie? You should spend the rest of your day with her." Kolby softly said, Timothée looking at him.

"She flew back to New York this morning. Company meetings apparently. I've decided to stay a few days and relax, no pressing business this week." he smiled, Kolby smiling at him.

"That's great. You'll have some time to spend with your other friends." Kolby said, lowering his eyes, hating the thought of him hanging out with Harry or Shawn.

"Don't know what Harry or Shawn are doing, don't really care. I'd rather spend some time with a new friend named Kolby Wentworth." he smiled, Kolby's head popping up, a soft smile on his face.

"Really? You want to spend time with me?" he said, looking surprised, Timothée smiling back at him.

"Of course! Besides, I'm the new bodyguard of the Red Lion's new maître d! I must escort him home as usual! Top security all round!" Timothée smiled, striking a protective pose.

Kolby lightly laughed, smiling at the young man.

"You're pretty skinny for a bodyguard." he smirked, Timothée smiling.

"This coming from the muscle stud." he quipped, scanning Kolby's slim form, Kolby blushing.

"Ok, we're both skinny."

Timothée laughed, smiling at him.

"Two perfect specimens, if you want my opinion." he said, slapping his shoulder, Kolby nodding with a smile.

The two began walking, heading towards Kolby's flat, Kolby's eyes glancing at Timothée's smiling face, his eyes traveling over every inch of the actor's fine form.

They talked as they walked, Timothée filling in Kolby on all that had happened since he'd left him yesterday.

About him returning to his friends at the restaurant; of his words to Harry and Shawn, the man sticking up for Kolby.

Of his meeting with Stephan last evening, and his talking to Kylie after.

Getting Henry Struthers contact information from her, and his subsequent calling the owner late last evening.

The three men had met at the restaurant early that morning, going over everything Stephan had found, a consensus of guilt built.

Struthers had called Carson in on his day off, laying the trap for him.

The three had faced him in the office with the proof, the man totally shocked.
Ten minutes later the police had shown up, all the evidence collected on hard drives.

The man was charged with theft, embezzlement and fraud.

Kolby stayed quiet through all of it, marveling at Stephan's intelligence and courage.

"That was a brave thing Stephan did, bringing him to justice, just because I got canned." he said, Timothée's hand going to his shoulder.

"He's your friend, Kolby. That was foremost on his mind. He knew he was risking his own job, but he did it anyway. I volunteered to be the go-between between him and Henry. He was scared Henry wouldn't believe him. Henry's a very intelligent man. I'm glad it worked out the way it did."

"Worked out?! It was unbelievable!" Kolby said, Timothée smiling, patting his shoulder again, the two getting close to his flat.

"About the other thing that happened, Kolby. I didn't know about any of that. I'm sorry Carson made a lurid pass at you. You never deserved that. People need to be respected." Timothée said, Kolby hearing the compassion in his voice.

"As I said before, I won't let people do that to me. For good reason. I hope you're okay with me being gay. I know you've probably seen that a lot in your business." Kolby softly said, looking down again, averting Timothée's eyes.

"I'm more than fine with your lifestyle, Kolby. I've met a lot of gay people, some of my friends are gay. I chose my friends for their honesty, loyalty and personalities. I think I've bagged myself a new twisted friend." he smiled, Kolby smiling widely.

"You want to be my friend? You hardly know me. And I can indeed be twisted." he said, sincerity in his voice.

"That's true. I don't know you well. But we've got all the time in the world to rectify that. Wait till you hear more about crazy me." he grinned, Kolby laughing softly.

"A few crazy secrets, eh?" he smiled, Timothée winking, looking ahead of him.

"Just treat me as a normal friend, that's all I ask. I'm just a regular guy who happens to work in movies." Timothée smiling, looking ahead again.

"So, can I come up again? I'd love to see your place." he smiled, the two seeing the building just ahead of them.

Kolby blushed softly, Timothée staring at him as they walked up to the front entrance.

"Um, sure. I should let you know something right off the bat. I um...I have a Dune poster on my bedroom wall, your face being in the center of it." he softly said, Timothée smiling, sensing Kolby was embarrassed by that fact.

"Oh, are we an avid fan?" Timothée said, batting his eyelashes, Kolby blushing.

"I like science fiction movies. Couldn't help you being stuck in the middle of it." Kolby smiled, Timothée showing a pout on his face.

"That look could sweeten ice cream. Ok, I like you as an actor too. I've seen Wonka and Call Me by Your Name also, along with some of your other films. I've followed your career."

"You really are a fan. Or do you just have the hots for my slim sexy self?" Timothée smiled, batting his eyelashes again.

Kolby blushed, Timothée laughed, rustling his hair, Kolby batting his hand away.

"Don't touch the locks! I'll try to control myself. You try and do the same. But there's only so much room in my flat for you and your big ego." Kolby smiled; his blushing gone.

Timothée laughed again, punching Kolby's shoulder.

"I'll try and control myself as well, cutie!" he grinned, the two now laughing, walking into the building.

Kolby smiled to himself, Timothée's last words flowing through him with happiness.

The two walked into the flat, Kolby closing the door behind them.

"Momma Bear, I'm home!" Kolby yelled, another voice replying from the kitchen.

"How did it all pan out, love?" Nancy called back.

"Went great! Could you come in here please, Nancy?" Kolby said, Timothée looking at him.

"Momma Bear?"

Kolby smiled, taking off his jacket, and then taking Timothée's, hanging both on the coat hooks beside the door.

"My nickname for her gregarious self." he smiled.

Nancy walked out of the kitchen, wiping her hands on a dishcloth, wearing an apron.

Timothée saw she was a middle aged stocky built woman, her hair black with some graying streaks, a motherly look on her face, Kolby's nickname to the point.

"I was just finishing putting my stew in the..." she started saying, her eyes focusing, stopping in shocked surprise.

"Oh my God! You're... you're Timothée Chalamet!" she said, tossing the dishcloth and her apron back behind her hurriedly into the kitchen, smoothing her hair.

Kolby chuckled, Timothée smirking.

"Momma Bear, this is Timothée Chalamet, a new friend of mine. Timothée, this is my friend and roommate Nancy Fairbanks. She's more my adoptive mother really." Kolby smiled widely, Timothée sensing his pride in stating that about their friendship.

He also sensed what that last sentence meant to him, knowing part of his past.

"Hello, Mrs. Fairbanks. A pleasure to meet you. Any friend of Kolby's is now my friend." he smiled his famous smile, Nancy practically beaming.

"Just call me Nancy. Mr. Chalamet. And he's not much of a friend for not warning me you were coming! The place is a mess!" she said, walking up to Kolby, the young man kissing her cheek, a soft blush showing, she lightly slapped his ass.

"The place is spotless as always. Only mess here is my room." he smiled, Timothée smiling.

"This I must see!" he smiled, Kolby softly blushing.

"His room is clean also. Everything is ship-shape in my house." she smiled, guiding Timothée into the living room, Kolby following him, the two sitting down on a sofa, Nancy sitting in a wing chair beside them.

"Wow, a movie star in my flat! Kolby had told me how he'd met you yesterday, and all that had happened. How did it go today with Mr. Struthers?" she said, Timothée glancing at Kolby, smiling and nodding to him.

Kolby quickly told her the day's developments, the story ending with Kolby and her hugging in the middle of the room.

"Oh, Kobe! Everything worked out in the end! Just as I told you it would! Always have faith!" she smiled widely, looking towards Timothée.

She moved, pulling Timothée to his feet, hugging him, Timothée looking at a smiling Kolby with blushing surprise.

"Thank you, Mr. Chalamet. You're a might nicer than those two other friends of yours. Thank you for all you did for my Kolby."

"I had to rectify the mess my friends created. I'm glad Kolby's back where he belongs. And please call me Timothée. We're friends now." he said, Kolby smiling at him, seeing his calming effect on Nancy.

"I'm friends with a movie star! Wait till the girls at ambulatory care hear!" she beamed, Kolby smiling at Timothée, seeing a confused look cross his face.

"Momma Bear's a nurse. She works at a local hospital. That's how we first met." he said, Timothée smiling at her, seeing a soft look cross Kolby's face.

"A noble profession, dear lady." He smiled, Kolby smirking, his face calm again.

"Don't butter her up, Timothée. She already likes you."

"Pish posh, dear. Butter away!" she smiled, Timothée laughing, the three returning to their seats, Nancy looking at Timothée.

"Would you like a drink, Timothée?" she smiled, Kolby sensing she was already used to calling him by his given name, the fame slowly evaporating for her.

"Do you have iced tea? It's my favorite. But I'll take whatever you have." he smiled.

"No worries, I do have iced tea. Kolby always makes it for us." she smiled, rising from her seat, walking into the kitchen with a bit of bounce.

"You've got her eating out of your hands, Chalamet." Kolby smirked again, Timothée punching his shoulder.

"I have had training dealing with overzealous fans, Kolby. And besides, she's very nice. How did you two meet?" Timothée asked, wanting to extend the sentence Kolby had let slip out.

"We met about four years ago. We've been friends ever since." he softly said, Timothée was about to say that that didn't really answer the question, Nancy walking back into the room with two glasses of iced tea.

"Here you go, boys!" she said, setting them down on the coffee table in front of them.

"You're not having one, Nancy?" Timothée asked politely, she smiled warmly at him.

"No, unfortunately I must leave in about fifteen minutes, evening shift at the care unit. I've put the stew on high in the crock pot, Kolby. It will be ready at six." she said, kissing his cheek, smiling at Timothée.

"Homemade stew? My mother always made that for me when I was home sick from school." Timothée smiled, Nancy smiling at him.

"There's no stew like my stew. And there's plenty. Looks like you may have company for dinner, Kobe." she winked at him, Kolby softly blushing.

"Only if I'm formally invited." Timothée said, smiling at Kolby, their eyes meeting.

"Would you like to stay for dinner, Timothée? Momma Bear's stew is delicious." he said, his eyes filled with soft hope.

"I'd love that." he smiled, Kolby smiling widely back.

"Great, that's settled! I'll just pop into the kitchen. Kobe, come give me a hand. You sit back and relax, Timothée. Then I need to get dressed for work." Nancy smiled, Kolby rising, following her into the kitchen.

Timothée smiled, leaning back into the sofa, sipping his drink, looking around the quaint living room.

Nancy kissed Kolby's cheek, the young man staring at her.

"What are you up to?" he said, seeing a soft smirk at the corner of her lips.

"Just showing you where I have the fresh bread, and there's some leftover strudel in the fridge, plus a full pitcher of iced tea." she smiled, looking at him.

"You just basically cajoled him into staying for dinner with me." he said, she kissed his cheek again.

"I sense he really wants to be your friend, Kobe. I think you both need to open that friendship. He'll be a good friend for you." she said, Kolby looking towards the living room.

"He's such a big movie star, Momma Bear. I'm so below his level." he said, lowering his eyes.

"You are no such thing, Kolby! There are no levels in friendship. Friendship starts with trust and honesty. Just be yourself. I truly believe he wants to know the real you. You know how you draw in people around you. Looks like another one's caught in your tractor beam." she smiled, knowing of Kolby's love of science fiction.

Kolby smiled, Nancy pinching his cheek.

"Set phasers for fun!"

Kolby laughed, kissing her cheek.

"It's actually set phasers to stun, Momma Bear."

"Well, he's already done that to you."

Kolby blushed, Nancy chuckling.

"You go back and entertain your new friend. I'm going to get ready. Back shortly."

Kolby smiled, walking back into the living room, Nancy smiling.

Yes, I think you're both going to have a lot of stunning fun.

If what I saw in both your eyes means what I think it means.

Nancy lightly laughed, walking through the other doorway towards her bedroom.

End of Chapter 3

And so, Kolby's path has righted.

He and Stephan are going on a new voyage of discovery.

And Mr. Carson has received his comeuppance.

Kolby and Timothée are perhaps on a new voyage of discovery themselves.

Will there be more there than friendship?

They both seem to be searching for the same thing.

A true friend and confidant.

Up next, starting friendships and honest truths.

Hugs, Angel.
