Sigh, finally! We were home about a few hours ago, and I was so busy in my bedroom since then. I always wrapped up my own presents, and this year was no exception. I had just finished tying up the ribbon on Ted's gift. Whew, I loved having such a big family, but sometimes I wished that the family would not be so productive and effective in making babies. I would be so exhausted each year at Christmas with the buying of gifts, then wrapping them. My family knew about Anthony and me, so I was lucky, I guess. They did not mind our relationship and encouraged it in fact. Grandma Bess loved Anthony and she used to tell me that he was "such a nice lad." She cried with me when Anthony died as if he was one of her grandsons. This was despite the fact that Anthony met the family only for Christmas. Well, might as well forget the past and moved on.
Then, I handled a gift that was going to be Ted's soon enough. I smiled as I remembered him surprising me at the mall a few hours earlier. I was really nuts about this guy. Ted could be sweet when he was in the mood, which was most of the time fortunately. His playfulness irked me sometimes, but it added excitement to our bland and monotonous lives. He was always busy it seemed, with his work at the gym. Most nights, I would be asleep by the time he got home. He seemed to be especially busy, even during this time of the year. After a while, I decided to check on Ted. He was very quiet in his room and as the saying goes: "Curiosity kills the cat!" The cat here had to be me.
I knocked on his bedroom door, but there was no answer. "Now, where did he go?" I thought. I knocked again twice, and when silence followed, I took the liberty and entered his bedroom. There he was! Hahahahaha! He must be so exhausted that he had fallen asleep with his head on the table. I inched nearer to his side and looked at his face. It had that angelic quality to it. Suddenly, I felt a strange twist in my heart. It had been some time since I last felt like this, but I knew what that feeling was. I was falling for Ted, and I was falling hard. I took the blanket off his bed, and covered him with it. I was startled when he shifted slightly, but he did not wake up. Thank God! I had this urge to kiss him, and without thinking further, I brushed his lips lightly. Then, I walked out from his room, feeling unsatisfied yet helpless. He and I might not be meant to be. So far, he had not shown any signal that he was gay or anything like that. Well, I sure didn't want to lose such a good friend by risking it all and told him that I loved him. He might be so scared and shocked that he would run for his life, and where would I be then?
As I laid me down to sleep, the bed seemed cold and lonely. This was the first time since Ted moved in that I began to feel this way. Oh my God! I was falling for him, not knowing if he would reciprocate my love. Sigh, I asked for it, I guess. Now I must bear the consequence all alone. Then, I cried myself to sleep late in the night, feeling the ache in my heart growing more acute.
Deep in my slumber, I dreamt that Ted and I were making love. Kissing with wild abandon, sweet caresses and followed by explosive orgasms. This was getting worse. I had been dreaming about Ted a lot lately, but last night was the limit. It was getting more vivid and I was going crazy about him. Sometimes, I was afraid that I would be so overwhelmed by desire that I would just lose all rational thinking and kissed him in a moment of heat. Not only would he be disgusted by me and left me alone, I would be ruining a blossoming friendship and I was certain as hell I didn't want any of those to happen.
After showering, I decided to fill up my stomach. This was one desire that I could fulfill for sure. Mouth exercise, I called it, though sophisticatedly, it was called eating. Hehehe! Anyway, I was munching my third slice of bread when Ted walked into the kitchen and flashed me one of those sexy smiles. Gosh! Did he want me to rape him or something? He was so seriously "delectable." Since Christmas was approaching soon, both of us did not need to go to work and so we sat down there and talked. As mum had called me a few days ago and told me to be home for Christmas, I told Ted about it and asked him what he planned to do for Christmas. When he told me that he was just spending the holiday at home with his parents, I had this bright idea of inviting him and his parents over to spend Christmas with my family, silently praying that mum would not strangle me for making such a late invitation.
"Are you sure it will be convenient? I mean, Christmas is only a week away. I am not sure...," he mumbled.
"Nah, don't worry! My family will be so glad to have you guys, and my parents have been telling me to bring you home, so they can interrogate you, no doubt."
"Interrogate me? Any reason for that?"
"Oooppss! I mean, they want to know if I had been naughty or nice the past few months, and who will know that better than you, Lov...Ted," I explained to him and stopped myself before I called him "Loverboy." Shucks!!! It was getting harder now to stop my feeling from flowing out and it would be a matter of time before I let down my guard and ruined our friendship. Sigh! I was sighing a lot more lately.
"Oh, okay! Scared me for a second there. I thought that your parents disapproved of us. I mean, of us being roommates."
"Well, they will like you for sure, dude. Just behave yourself! Don't do what I won't do and you will be safe. Hehehe!" I had not finished grinning at him when he suddenly pounced on me and we wrestled on the floor like a couple of kids. He was stronger though, and I was pinned down. Damn, did he have to be so muscular?
"All right, I admit my defeat! Okay, I give up," I panted out the words, slightly out of breath. Gosh, I must have been sitting in the office too long and was out of shape now.
"Hehehe! I win!! Woooooooooooooohooooooooooooooooooooooo!"
I laughed at him and I noticed that he looked flushed and seemed so boyishly happy that I just grinned too. He was happy and so was I. After resting for a while, he stood up and offered his hand and pulled me up. He continued with his breakfast while I went to call mum and told her about the newly issued invitation to Ted and his parents.
"Oh, J. That will be wonderful. By the way, is he a good kisser?" Mum responded, surprising me.
"Mummmmm! I told you already. I don't know if he is gay or not. Now, tell the family that, so they won't say something like that in front of him and it will be hard to explain to Ted, AND his parents," I explained hurriedly.
"Okay, J. Relax! I was just kidding. Tell me one thing though, is he very good looking?"
"Well, more than you can ever imagine. He was like this devilishly handsome dude that I just wanna kiss him and make love to him," I replied with much enthusiasm. Mum and I talked about everything, really everything. After the conversation was over, I returned to the dining table and told Ted that all was set.
"Thanks, Jeremy. It will be so great spending Christmas with you," he said. "And your family, of course."
"Well, you are welcome, Ted. It will be good spending this special season with you too. And getting to know your parents."
We talked for a while before Ted went to call his parents about the plan and I sat there in the dining room, excitement building in me at the thought of spending Christmas with Ted. Sigh, if he only knew! Never mind. At least, we would be together for this first Christmas.
