Soft and tender lips touched Nick's own lips. The mouth opened and suddenly the tongue was tracing along the Nick's lips begging for entrance. Nick's mouth opened slightly receiving the welcomed intruder. The mystery man's strong muscular hands found themselves at the waistband of Nick's jeans, moments away from unbuttoning them. Nick started to open his eyes to see who this man was...
BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!
"Damn it! Lousy alarm clock," Nick said groggily.
It was already 10:00 in the morning, just over one week after the party. The sun was out in full force with only the small scattered clouds to obscure the direct sunlight. Sunlight flooded Nick's room when he opened the drapes forcing him to squint a little bit from the sudden change. He quickly went to the bathroom to take a piss and afterwards, taking a shower.
Ahhh...nothing beats a warm shower in the morning,' Nick thought to himself as the water spilled all over his body. I wished I had the chance to see who the guy in my dream was.'
He dried himself quickly and wrapped the white cotton towel around his slim waist. He went to the sink area and brushed his teeth. `No one likes morning breath,' he thought as he was doing so.
He made his way over to the huge walk-in closet that was connected to the bathroom and began sifting through the clothing. He decided he wanted to wear his navy blue Calvin Klein boxer-briefs. He loved to wear CK underwear. He looked around the carefully organized by color and type closet. He made his way over to the short sleeve navy blue shirts and picked out the Burberry shirt with Knights on the upper front left side of the shirt. He put on his Dolce & Gabbana khaki shorts and walked over to the shoes area where he just put on some Banana Republic flip flops. After all, it was summer in Houston.
Exiting his room, he traversed through some corridors and eventually found his way to the dual staircases. He walked down slowly, still not fully awake yet. He made his way over to the kitchen where his brunch awaited him.
"Good morning, Nick," said Jeff, covered by the right door of the stainless steel refrigerator. "Your brunch is over on the table."
"Good morning, Jeff," replied Nick as he made his way over the kitchen's table. There was his usual breakfast, still warm. He was a creature of habit, and he loved his two buttermilk pancakes, two slices of bacon, scrambled eggs, halved strawberries with the green top cut off, and a glass of orange juice with no pulp. He ate the food quickly, as usual.
"Hmm, I'm gonna go to Border's, Jeff."
"Alright, be careful."
"I will. I'm just gonna go see if they have Laurell K. Hamilton's new book. I hear there's a new installment to her Anita Blake series." Truthfully, Nick had this weird fascination with the underground world of the vampires. He was browsing through Amazon.com one day and came up to some vampire fiction recommendations and that's how he became a fan of the Anita Blake series.
"Later, Jeff." With that he made his way over the garage where his baby was waiting. Nick absolutely loved his BMW M5. His parents had gotten it for him on his 18th birthday. He came home one day and his parents took him to the garage where a silver BMW M5 was parked and had a red bow on top.
He got in and smiled as remembered that day. It was a pretty short drive from River Oaks to where the nearest Borders was located. He loved going to the one on West Alabama and Kirby since it was the closet and one of the nicer ones, or so he thought.
He got out of his car after parking at one of the farther parking spots since it was almost to filled to full capacity. People just seem to love going to bookstores on Saturday.
He walked right over to the near back of the first floor of the store to where the Horror section was located.
"Ah, sweet! They do have it!" he said to himself excitedly. He couldn't help but smile. `I hope Cerulean Sins will be good," he thought to himself.
"What's gotten you so happy all of a sudden?" the same tenor voice from last night asked.
Nick turned around and saw Josh. He suppressed the laughter begging to come out when he saw that they were dressed just about the same way. Josh was wearing the white version of his shirt, khaki shorts, and black flip-flops. But there was something different...
"Ah! You're wearing glasses!" exclaimed Nick a little too excitedly.
"Yeah," Josh laughed. "I wear them when I'm too lazy to put on my contacts. Surprised you noticed."
Nick blushed. He inwardly hated himself for being so damn easily embarrassed by this man.
Josh smiled when he saw the reaction to his earlier statement. "So, what are you up to after payin' for that?" he asked.
"Um, I was actually thinking of going to Starbucks," Nick said.
"Ah, mind if I joined you then? I was thinking about getting' myself a mocha frap. I'd normally drive myself, but I left my car at the townhouse I'm renting just nearby."
"That's no problem. Just let me pay for this," Nick said holding the book up.
"So, supernatural freak, huh?" Josh said while smirking a little bit after seeing the author and title.
Nick smiled. "Just a little bit." With that, Nick made his way over to the counter. He paid for the book and met up with Josh who was standing outside near the curb.
"So, which one's your car?" Josh questioned.
"That one," replied Nick as he pointed to his BMW. They walked over and got in the car.
"Nice ride," stated Josh.
"Thanks, it was a birthday gift," replied Nick, looking over to Josh. `God he's so hot. Think this is the first time I've ever been this attracted to someone,' the thought.
"What? Do I have something on my face?"
"N..n..nothing. Sorry," Nick said as he blushed like a little boy caught with his hand in the cookie jar before dinner.
They drove in silence as they made their way over to the Starbucks on Montrose near St. Thomas University.
They got out of the car and immediately, Nick noticed how hot it really was. `Just like Houston to feel like it's 110 degrees outside in August,' he complained inwardly. They headed toward the Starbucks and once they got to the door, Josh opened the door to let Nick in first. Nick just simply smiled in place of uttered gratitude.
They got to the counter and was greeted by the Starbucks guy. "Hi, welcome to Starbucks, what can I get you?"
"Um, tall chocolate brownie frap please," said Nick. He was reaching toward the back of his jeans to get his wallet when...
"Nah, let me pay. After all, you did drive me here," Josh said with a smile. Nick simply nodded. "I want a tall mocha frap please," he said to the guy.
They waited for their orders and looked around the place just to see who was there. When they got their drinks, they went over to the condiment area, removed their caps and mixed the whipped cream with the rest of the drink. They both laughed when they realized they had the same style of drinking the Starbucks fraps.
They sat over by the window.
"I just love watching people. It's fun to observe them and notice their eccentricities," Nick said after taking a sip.
Josh laughed. "Me too, I always thought that was weird of me to watch people. Guess I'm not the only weird one," he said as he gently jabbed Nick's arm with his elbow.
Nick shuddered at the contact. `God, I wonder if he knows what he's doing to me,' he wondered. "So, why were you at the party last Friday?" he questioned.
"Oh, that. Well, I'm actually Adam's teacher. He was in my US History until 1877 Honors class last semester at University of Houston. He's actually going to take the second half of that course with me this upcoming semester too. He just thought I might be interested. So I went as the supportive teacher," Josh stated.
"Ah, so you're a history teacher at University of Houston?"
"Yeah, I only teach Honors classes though."
"Cool. Um, I was wondering, just how old are you?"
"Ah, the age question. I'm 28."
"Guess I was right then."
"Pondering about me already?"
Nick blushed.
Josh laughed. "That's cute. So, let's get right down to the point. How about you and me go to dinner and a movie sometime?
"S..sure. I'd love that."
"Why don't you give me your number then? I'll give you mine too."
They both got out their cell phones and exchanged house numbers and cell phone numbers.
"Oh, if someone else other than me, that'll most likely be our butler, Jeff."
Josh just laughed as a response. "Oh yeah before I forget and have to walk back home, would you mind dropping me off at my house?"
"Sure, can do that no problem."
They finished their fraps and left. They drove in silence as usual with Nick driving carefully yet precisely and Josh just staring at the passing scenery and noticing the various cars and people they pass.
"Oh you'd want to go on West Alabama and make a left on Greenbriar. I live in that neighborhood."
They got to Josh's house without much trouble. Josh hopped out of the car and Nick lowered the passenger's side window.
"I'll call you for that date," said Josh with a smile.
"Alright, see ya then," replied Nick. He couldn't wait till the day of the date, whenever that will be.
Nick drove off and went over to the Soundwaves close to the Starbucks that he and Josh were just having a quick drink.
Nick wanted to buy a CD and Soundwaves usually had just about every CD, just not always at the lowest price. He walked into the store and looked around in the Rock section. He'd heard this recent song "Harder to Breathe" by Maroon 5 and wanted to buy the CD because he liked it so much. He found the Maroon 5 CD entitled "Songs about Jane" that had the song he was looking for and ended up picking up Live's "Birds of Pray".
He went over the counter and was surprised when he ended up seeing none other than Adam Barnes on the other side. He was wearing a tight green shirt, black jeans, and black Vans. Of course, he had his black leather wristband on the right wrist.
"Oh hey, I remember you. I gave you one of my signed CD's last Friday," said Adam.
"Yep, you did. I enjoyed the CD by the way," replied Nick.
"That'll be $32.43," he said after ringing up the two CD's.
"What?" Nick said after the voice broke his obvious staring at Adam's eyes. He was usually a fan of blue and green eyes, but there was something about Adam's chocolate brown eyes. They seemed so inviting, so warm.
"The total."
"Oh! Sorry, was spacing out," Nick said, trying to cover up. He handed his check card over to Adam.
"Huh, are you the Myers's son?" asked Adam.
"Yep, the second one," Nick replied nonchalantly. "How'd you guess?"
"Your check card," Adam stated with a smirk.
"Oh..." Nick laughed nervously.
`He's so cute, being all nervous,' thought Adam. 'Wonder if he's gay.' "Ok, there you go. You make sure you come back," he said with a smile.
"I will. Good luck on your album," Nick said as he went out the door.
Once he got out, he noticed it was already dark. He looked at this watch. `Damn, 8:00PM already? Time sure flies.'
He heard his stomach grumble. He laughed quietly to himself. `Better get some food then.' He went over to the Chick-Fil-A on Holcombe in the Randall's shopping area. He always got the same thing - #5 8 piece with a Coke and Polynesian sauce.
He drove back to the mansion and ate quietly while watching stand up comics perform on Comedy Central. He loved Comedy Central. He wanted to actually go to a comedy club sometime soon.
After that, he just went online and talked to his friends. A good many of them were in town for summer vacation, which was soon going to be over.
At around 1:00am, after a good deal of internet surfing and online chatting, Nick decided it was time to go to bed. He changed into black silk pajamas and climbed into bed, hoping that he would have the continuation of the dream he had from last night.
He smiled at the thought of the dream.
