The Toy Box Part 1
"Yes! Your order is ready for collection!" The voice on the other end of the line confirmed. "Great! I'll be there this afternoon!" I said eagerly. "Anne! Are you ready to go, the shop closes in an hour!" I said as I could feel my stomach clench with excitement! "Chris! I'll meet you in the car in 2 minutes" Anna called from the bedroom.

"I thought we only just bought some dog food a few weeks ago." Anne said as we entered our local pet shop. "No, it's been a while! Why don't you have a wonder round and see if there is anything else we need." I said calmly trying to relax. After a few minutes I noticed Anne was looking at the leather leads and collars, so I slowly and quietly embraced her from behind. "Do you see something you like?" I whispered into her ear and slowly bit down and felt her shiver. "Is there something you want?" I whispered again. "Yes" Anne says tight-lipped. "Stay here and don't move." I said sternly. I turned my back on her and approached the counter to collect my order.
When I retuned Anne was still looking at the leads and collars, but hadn't moved a muscle because she knew what would happen. I slowly placed a black leather and suede dog collar around her neck. It had taken me weeks to choose this particular one. I wanted it to be perfect! As soon as I made contact with Anne's neck I heard the swift intake of breath. "Keep still" I said tersely. "Wait here." I said taking a deep breath and walking to the counter to pay for the collar and dog food. The lady behind the counter gave me a dirty smile as I said goodbye to her. "Anne, put the dog food in the car" I ordered as I walked out the door.
Trying to distance myself from her just so I could regain my composure. As we pulled up into the driveway I ordered her to go to the bedroom and wait for me. As I watched her walk through the front door I could tell she wasn't going to last. I looked at my watch and realized that Anne's mum would be here any minute so I went to meet her in our bedroom.
