The Tragedy of Daniel and Jake Chapter 1 Written by John Meyers

Disclaimer: Good lord I hate disclaimers, noone pays any attention to them anyway but (sighs) whatever. Okay, the following events portrayed in this story are completely fictitious and the product of my own imagination. Any resemblances to any persons living or dead is most likely a comlete coincidence, though it could also be a divine sign from God, what it would mean is anyones guess, but it still could be a sign. This story portrays teenage males participating, and damn sure enjoying, homosexual acts, i.e. male/male sex, if this offends you in any way than you really need to rethink your reason for being on this website. Ah, and finally, even though we all know no teenager who's already this far into the site will ever listen to this, if you are under 18 or the portrayals of this story violate any of the laws in your state, province, territory, country, etc., it is strongly recommended that you leave now, not that you will, right? Anyway, having said that, here's the story. Enjoy...

Daniel's POV

'It didn't take any time at all', I thought inwardly to myself as I awoke to the near choking warmth of my bedroom. I remembered last night, my mom telling me that the faster that I got to sleep, the faster I would be sixteen. Stripping out of my clothes (except my underwear) and hopping into bed, excited about the next day I'd thought to myself about how much I was looking forward to my birthday party, then my head hit the pillow and in what seemed like seconds I was slowly stretching awake, arching my back and letting out a sigh of content as the sun peeked through my window. The warm light of the sun, combined with the cream color of my walls, painted the entire room with the same gold hue as I imagined King Midas's bedroom may have looked. I reached around on the bed with my left hand, searching for my phone, when I found it I brought it up to check the time. 9:12 A.M. I considered staying in bed a while longer, but to my vague dismay, I then heard an excited, running stomping coming up the stairs. I pulled the cover back over me to cover my morning wood just before my best friend Mark busted through the door, yelling, "HA-APPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!" I groaned in mock frustration.

"Mark, what are yo-" I started to say before he interrupted me.

"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize you were already in the process of trying to blow out your 'first' candle." He said while smiling mischeviously and gesturing with his eyes at my morning 'problem'.

"Get out Mark." I said jokingly, pointing at the door.

"Come on," he said pouting, "maybe I could stay and... 'help'." Ugh, that was Mark. He loved acting gay to make people laugh. I usually didn't mind, still don't too. It's too funny for me to care.

"You don't get out of here in the next three seconds and you may just get your wish!" I raised my voice at him, smiling, still not wanting to get out of bed.

"Alright, hurry up though man, Miranda's downstairs waiting." WTF?!

"Why is Miranda here?" I groaned. With Miranda here I'd lost the ability to freely walk around in my own house.

"We're all going out to celebrate your birthday." He said smiling, not seeing the problem. Or maybe, I thought, he 'sees' the problem just fine and thinks it's hilarious. Hmm, I'll get him back, screw not being able to walk freely in my own house.

"Alright, fine." I sighed exasperatedly as I swung my legs to the side and off the bed and stood up. I stretched and yawned again and felt my chin. "I need to shave." I said out loud to myself.

"No you don't!" Mark said, slapping me playfully in the stomach as I yawned. "Look at ya', not a hair on ya'." He said smiling his teasing smile.

"I meant my face numb nuts." I grabbed my towel off of the recliner I had in my room and walked out the door, heading down the stairs.

"Whoa dude!" Mark grabbed my arm. "You not going to put some clothes on?" He looked like I was acting oddly.

"Mark, every day for the past 5 years I have gotten out of bed in my underwear, gone to the kitchen, poured myself a small glass of milk, and rummaged through the cabinets to find something to eat for breakfast that I would inevitably wait until after my shower to make and eat." I paused to stare him in his eyes and smiled my shit eating grin. "Today's no different." I continued walking down the stairs.

"Babe! Close your eyes!" Mark shouted down to Miranda as I rounded the corner.

"Why- OH!" Miranda slapped her hand to her face to cover her eyes as I walked into the kitchen.

"Good morning Miranda." I chirped cheerily as I passed by. She giggled, "Good mornin' Danny." It's a good thing my morning wood disappeared pretty quickly, otherwise Miranda may have gotten a little more than she bargained for.

I went over to the fridge and got the milk. Someone had left it on the bottom shelf again. When I went to pour it in a cup I saw Mark hugging Miranda, telling her that "SOME PEOPLE HAVE BETTER MANNERS". Miranda was just giggling and I could have swore I heard her whisper something like, "he's bigger than you". I saw Mark's face turn bright ass red and he looked away sheepishly.

"So what brings y'all to my humble abode?" I asked as I sipped my milk, looking over the rim of the cup at them both.

"We 'were' going to go somewhere for your birthday." Mark said as both him and Miranda walked over to the table and sat down. "But of course that was before you scarred my girlfriend for life." I walked over and sat across from Miranda.

"Well from what I heard of you two whispering it didn't seem to scar her as badly as it did you." I said taking a well deserved victory sip from my cup. Mark turned red, clashing badly against his red hair, and he looked away.

"Anyway," Miranda drew our attetion away from messing with eachother for now. "I thought we could go to the mall or something, maybe go see a movie, and grab a bite to eat, then we'll head back here."

"Sounds fine by me." I said as I finished off my milk, looking at Mark, who, by the way, was still red. "I do request that I get to take a shower first." I stood up and put my cup in the sink and grabbed my towel that I'd hung over my chair. "I'll be down in about 20 minutes." I began walking back up the stairs.

"It takes you 20 minutes to take a shower!?" Mark yelled after me. I poked my head back around the corner.

"No. It takes 20 minutes for me to get in the bathroom, the water to heat up, get in, wash, get out, shave, and get dressed!" I disappeared back around the corner. "Oh, and uh, don't come up here!" I shouted back down to them.

"Why?" Mark yelled up. My boxer briefs hit the wall directly behind me and I knew they could see them.

"That's why!" I shouted, and got in the bathroom.

Mark's POV

Miranda and I were driving down Daniel's shaded driveway, past the other apartment buildings. I still wasn't used to it. It hadn't been but seven months since Daniel had lived in a nice house down his own, or more specifically, his parents' own, driveway. But then his parents got divorced. They lost everything, I didn't know how they did it. Even when things were terrible, there Daniel was, helping his mom and baby brother get through it, smiling the whole way. I helped them move in back in July. The place was much smaller than their other house, but everyone admitted that it was homey to say the least. Hmm, I thought to myself, Daniel hadn't been out then. He didn't come out until... Oh what was it, THAT'S RIGHT! October 11th. He said that it was National Coming Out Day so he celebrated by coming out. That was probably one of the happiest moments of my life. You see, I'm gay too, but nobody knows. Not Daniel, certainly not Miranda, and DEFINITELY not my parents. Daniel's mom, Debra, was so amazing, she didn't even flinch when Daniel told her. She just smiled a knowing smile and said that she loved him anyway. I don't think Daniel was all that worried about how she would react, they're pretty close. Miranda was ecstatic for days. She had a new gay best friend she kept yelling. At least she was happy and encouraging, too many people weren't.

I pulled up to a stop in front of Daniel's house and knocked on the door. His mom answered.

"Oh good mornin' you two." She smiled and brought us both into a big hug.

"Good mornin' Ms. Hastings!" Miranda replied happily. It was impossible to not be happy around Daniel's mom.

"Mornin' Debra" I said happily.

"Come on in both of you, I think Daniel's still asleep I'll go get him." She turned to go up the stairs.

"Wait!" I told her, smiling devilishly. "I'll get him."

"Babe! Close your eyes!" I yelled down to Miranda, knowing that she wouldn't anyway. She didn't need to see that. Hell, I was already hardening up pretty quickly from seeing it. He rounded that corner and I clearly heard the gasp and the slap of her covering her eyes.

"Good morning Miranda." I heard him say in his way-too-happy-for-his-own-good voice. Miranda giggled like a little schoolgirl.

"Good mornin' Danny." When I walked up beside her she was still giggling. "You should have warned me." She whispered to me.

"I tried to babe, but I was under the impression that SOME PEOPLE HAVE BETTER MANNERS!" He was clearly smiling his trademark shit eating grin from behind his cup. Miranda started giggling again. "What?" I asked her.

"He's bigger than you." She whispered in my ear, before kissing me and heading over to the table. I felt my temperature rise as the blood rushed to my face in embarassment.

Daniel's POV

I turned the water nozzle to hot and slowly allowed it to warm up. As I turned around and looked at myself in the mirror, I really began studying myself. I don't consider myself gorgeous by any means, but even I'm smart enough to know that I'm good looking if nothing else. My hair was the most favorite part of my body by far(and yes, that includes the one your thinking of too). It was mid neck length and sort of flipped up and layered on the left side, giving me a bit of a surfer look, even though I'd never even seen the ocean. I always kept my hair flipped to the left a little. It also had a way of changing in the light. When I woke up, it always looked more like a dirty blonde, but after I washed it and it dried it looked more light brown with auburn lowlights, through the day it would start looking more and more auburn until it peaked out and started turning back into a light brown, and then back to dirty blonde.

My eyes were a perfect chocolate brown color and each cheek carried a small splash of freckles. There was just the slightest hints of a stuble on my chin and I planned to remove that ASAP. My body still carried a light tan that I'd gotten during the summer. I figured it was enough to give me a healthy glow, and it also brought out the muscles in my chest and abs, not that I had so many abs to speak of, more like ab. I had a smooth stomach, which was fine with me. Then my eyes travelled to my legs, both were fairly muscled. I'm just glad I don't have gladiator thighs or anything, both my legs were sprinkled with a light dusting of blonde hair. Then I looked at my cock. I had very neatly trimmed dark blonde pubes and I wasn't particularly big to speak of, about 6 and 3/4 inches give or take a few millimeters, it used to be a bit of an insecurity for me, but then I started believing the whole, "not the size of the boat, it's the motion of the ocean" thing. I hadn't had sex yet so I didn't know for sure if it really mattered or not. As I saw steam gathering on the tops of the mirror, I decided it was time to get in so I turned and stepped in the shower.

I walked into my room, dropped my towel at the door, and immediately became encased in a fairly intense heat. I like it warm, and it's probably a good thing I do, cuz I'd really be screwed if I didn't. My mom and brother complain all the time about it, occasionally I'll laugh but not often. I went over to my night stand and grabbed my deodorant and put it on. I then went over to my closet and pushed a few shirts this way and that, looking for something good. Hmm, it is my birthday, let's go with something nice. I pulled down a white button up and a white undershirt, some dark washed ripped jeans, my favorite hot pink tye, some black boxer briefs and some black ankle socks. As I finished getting ready I looked at myself in my mirror and became very happy that I wasn't wearing everything exactly like that. I'll always put everything proper before messing it up. I untucked the front of my shirt and fixed it so both sides looked even, I untucked the back just a bit, I unbuttoned the top two buttons on my shirt and I loosened my tie so it hung down just slightly and rolled up my sleeves to just before my elbows. Oh yes. This was the way that this was meant to be worn. I put on my favorite pair of dark brown shoes, sprayed my favorite cologne and walked back down to the kitchen.

As I rounded the corner I saw Mark look up from talking with Miranda and saw his eyebrows shoot straight up. "Wow" He said, not even bothering to hide the fact that he was impressed. Miranda turned around in her seat and began wolf whistling at me. "Yeah, you go girl!" She started giggling again and so did I.

"So, where are we going first? To the movies, to the mall, or to eat?"

Well, that was it for Chapter 1, tell me what you think. I like it, it seemed to turn out very well. I know this chapter is short, I decided I'd go ahead and post the first chapter before I wrote the second one, so depending on the reviews I may or may not continue this story, but I'm hoping I will get to.
