By Aiden McCann

This is my very first story that I have ever written to be posted on any website, anywhere. I have to say that I really don’t know too much of what I'm doing, so any suggestions would be appreciated. This story involves the life of two teenage boys (and one teenage girl). This is a GAY or HOMOSEXUAL story. If you do not agree with homosexuality, please leave now. You should be 18 (or 21 depending on your location) to read or view the content in this piece. If you are not, please leave now.

FROM PREVIOUS CHAPTER (Chapter 2):

I threw our crap in the back and slammed the trunk shut. We walked over to the front of the car and I let him in. He looked at me and smiled as I put the car into reverse. I smiled back not knowing what else to do. We were just starting to pull out of my driveway when I slammed on brakes. He had just said “I had the weirdest dream last night.”

CHAPTER 3:

“Wha… what… do you… mean?” I asked almost scared to death.

“Well, I dreamed that I was a girl… it was kind of freaky…” he said laughing. “Dude, are you all right? Your face is pale!”

“Yeah… I’m fine…” I said looking over at him. He had a doll face. He looked as good as any girl that had ever graced my presence. “So… what in dream your happened, then?” I said jumbling my words. I couldn’t get them out right so I just said simply “What happened?”

“Oh, wouldn’t you like to know!” he said laughing at me. He looked at me and his eyes started to search mine. “Dude, are you ok? You look like shit!”

I started to feel dizzy. I looked down at his arm and saw the same cut that I had seen in my dream last night. My head felt like it was about to explode. What was happening to me, to my mind, to my body?! I started to really feel dizzy and I couldn’t tell what I was doing in my car, why Mark was there, or why I hadn’t driven off yet.

“Shit!” Mark yelled as I threw up on the steering wheel and my head hit the horn.

“Holy fuck!” I screamed as I tried to pick Travis’s head up. He had hit the wheel and was flat out. I opened my door and ran out to the other side. I opened the car door in a hurry and pulled him out of the front seat. I laid him down on his stomach on the driveway and put my jacket that I had on under his forehead. I quickly started slapping him on the back to make sure that there wasn’t anything still in his throat. Finally, I quickly ran inside his house.

“Mark? What are you doing in here?!” his mother screamed at me as I ran in her kitchen.

“Travis… just blacked out, or passed out or something!” I said as quickly and calmly as I could. “Call an ambulance!” I cried as she looked at me with her mouth wide open.

She stared at me in shock for a few seconds before she realized what was going on and it finally hit her. “I’ll call an ambulance, take this out there and put it on his neck!” she said, handing me a bag of ice from the freezer.

I ran back outside as quickly as I could and rubbed the bag of ice on his neck and rubbed his back trying to get him to calm down, or wake up, or something. In a few moments she joined me outside with a wireless telephone. She handed me the telephone because she was swelling up with tears and couldn’t speak very well.

“Hello, ma’am, what is the emergency?” I heard the operator drone on.

“Hi, my name is Mark Nunnilly, my friend Travis Fann just passed out in his car outside of his house, I need help!” I said frantically.

“Ok sir, calm down and tell me the address.” She said going through her usual protocol.

I didn’t know the address for Travis’s house so I gave them mine as quickly as I could. “I’m at 938 Fredrick Lane, in Daytona Beach! It’s right off of State Road 19 and about a mile south of the Kingly Bridge. Our neighborhood is on the southbound lane of traffic!” I was freaking out and I didn’t know what to do.

“Ok sir, an ambulance is on his way, I’m going to transfer you to the paramedic in the ambulance so he can assess the situation before he arrives.” She said quickly. I started to hear clicks.

“Hello, Mark?” the paramedic said almost too quietly with the sirens blazing in the background. “Tell me what happened in as much detail as you can. Try and stay calm…” he said in the most soothing voice.

“Yes… ok,” I said shaking, “we were in his car talking about a dream I had, then he just went weak and turned pale. I asked him what was wrong and he just fell down threw up and hit his head on the steering wheel!” I said frantically. When I said what had happened, it hit me harder. Travis, this guy I really liked and even loved, had just totally fallen before me. I didn’t know what I was going to do.

“Listen to me Mark; I want you to make sure that he is not lying on his back. After you do that, I want you to make sure his head is suspended incase he wakes up or has anything lodged in his throat. Can you tell if he’s breathing?” the paramedic said with a few break ups in his radio here and there.

“Yes, I already have him on his stomach, I learned to do that in Health class.” I said feeling confident about what I had done. “I think he’s still breathing, his chest is still moving up and down.”

“Good, listen we are about a mile away, just hang on kid, and good job!” he said as I heard the line click.

I didn’t know what to do. I sat down next to him with my legs and knees in front of me. I rolled back and forth with my head in my knees trying to calm down. I couldn’t believe what just happened. My chest was tight and my heartbeat was going insane. I loved him so much; I didn’t want him to die on me!

The paramedics arrived in just a few minutes after they hung up with me. They quickly shuttled him up to carry him to the hospital. By instinct I jumped into the back with the paramedic and headed to the hospital with him. I could see his dad run outside holding his mom in his arms as they headed to her car.

The hospital was quiet as I started to wake up. I could feel something sticky on my arm and I looked at it only to see an electrical pad. I looked around the room and saw Mark sitting in a chair in the corner of the room. He had his head in his hands crying. I looked at him and I felt a sudden warmth jump over me.

“Mark…” I said with a scratchy voice as I was slowly regaining my senses. “What happened to me?”

Mark jumped up and ran over to my bed and took my hand in his. It felt so good to have him there. I looked up at him just as one of his tears fell and hit my bed. I couldn’t believe he was crying over me. He must really love me, I kept thinking to myself.

“Its ok now,” he said softly. He put his hand on my head and I felt like I was going to die. It felt so warm to the touch. “The doctor said you’re going to be fine, and I’m here with you.”

I melted. I couldn’t believe what was going on. First I had this intense dream, and now it seemed it was playing out. I loved being there with him so much. I couldn’t believe it was actually happening.

“Mark, thank you.” I said softly as I looked up in his eyes. More tears fell onto the bed as he looked down into mine. “Thank you for coming and being with me right now. I had a weird dream, too, last night. You were in it.”

He smiled and his teeth showed. His breathing started to pickup and I could tell he was overcome with joy. He reached down and kissed me on my lips and I couldn’t help myself. I reached up my free hand and pulled him toward me as we kissed. He lifted back up and stared straight down at me.

“I love you…” he said to me as he held his hand with mine.

“I love you too…” I said quietly.

Just as I finished what I had said, my parents broke through the door. “TRAVIS!” my mom and dad both yelled at once. "Your finally awake!" my mother continued. They were happy to see that I was awake and moving around. My mother came over and kissed me on the cheek excitedly and my dad stood behind her smiling. I saw my dad look over at me and Mark holding hands, but we quickly broke our touch.

My dad smiled at me with one of those ‘I know what you guys are up to’ smiles, and then asked me as any dad does “Are you alright, slugger?” I looked up at him and he jokingly said “Get out of that bed and walk it off!”

I laughed at him and said “Why don’t YOU walk it off, god knows YOU need the exercise.” We all laughed. My father wasn’t overweight, but he was slowly gaining weight in his later years. At around 30 years old, your metabolism starts to drop. My father was in his 50’s and showed it with pride.

My mother turned to me and just sighed. “I’m really glad you’re all right. If Mark hadn’t been there when you passed out, you could have been dead.” She said stiffly. “Thank you so much, you’re a godsend.” She said as she reached over the bed and kissed Mark on the forehead.

“Hey! Hey!” I said in a joking tone. “Keep your paws off my mom, dude! She’s taken!” We all laughed and the doctor came into the room. He looked at all of us and had a huge smile on his face.

“Well, there’s good news!” the doctor said staring at me. “You’re set to go, there’s not a thing wrong with you. Though, while I am curious as to why you passed out, there seems to be nothing wrong with you. Your blood test turned out fine and we couldn’t find any problems with your breathing. So, I guess we should get you out of here...” he said with a sigh.

He came over and ripped off the electrical monitoring pads and lifted the bed up to a sitting position. I dropped my legs over the side and jumped off the bed. I saw some fresh clothes my mom had brought me lying on the chair in the corner. I grabbed them and ran into the bathroom to get dressed. I was glad she had brought my favorite shirt and jeans, it made me feel a lot more comfortable with everything going on.

I opened the door and saw Mark standing before me and he immediately planted a kiss on me. I was shocked but I gave up and let it happen. I reach around him with my arms and grabbed his sides. I opened my mouth and let his tongue slide into mine. We kissed for a few minutes and he pulled back and stared at me.

“Where are my parents?” I asked as I looked at him and pulled him closer to me.

“They are just signing off so you can check out.” He said gleeming at me. He planted another kiss on my lips.

I reached out and gave him a huge hug and felt a few tears roll down my cheeks as I said quietly into his ear, “Thank you so much buddy, you saved my life.” I kissed him on the lips once more and grabbed his hand, pulling him toward the door.

We let go as soon as we hit the hall. I didn’t know where I was, so he led me down the hall to the elevator. We hit the button on the elevator and both of us stepped inside. I felt him grab my ass as the doors closed. There was no one in the elevator so we got in one more kiss before we hit the ground floor. I walked over to the reception area where my parents stood and noticed they had just finished getting me signed out of the hospital.

“That insurance company is going to ream us for this…” my dad said as we all walked outside and onto the sidewalk. It was already late at night when we got outside. It was about 9pm or so I could tell. The parking garage was close, but we had to walk down an underpass to get there. It wasn’t too long before we got to the car. Mark and I jumped in the back.

“I can’t thank you enough Mark.” My mother said as we started to pull out of the parking garage. “If you weren’t there, I don’t know what I would have done. I never would have known and he could have died before we even got out to the car to leave for work.” I could hear she was about to cry and I saw my dad reach over and grab her hand and hold it.

“Yes, thanks a bunch Mark.” My dad responded confidently. “You were truly a godsend.”

Mark noticed that my parents were holding hands and looked over at me. I knew what he wanted to do by the way he held is hand flat against the seat with his fingers point up. I shook my head as we pulled onto the street. He knew I meant no, but he shook his hand against the car seat. I gave up and put my hand onto his. He smiled at me as we drove back to my house holding hands.

We got back to the house and we all got out of the car. Mom and dad grabbed most of my stuff and walked up to the front door. I followed behind them but noticed that Mark was following me. I turned around to look at him.

“Don’t you have to go home?” I asked him as he walked up to the front door step..

“No, my mom told me to take the night off and make sure that you were ok. I’m going to stay with you tonight, if that’s ok?” He asked me.

My parents looked puzzled when he asked that. They knew he was going to stay, but they couldn’t tell who the question was directed at. He already had the ok from them.

“Sure, buddy.” I said as my dad opened the front door and we went inside. The house was dark and smelled funky, almost damp, as I walked inside. I figured it was probably due to the fact that I was used to the smell of the hospital. My mom was mumbling something from the kitchen as I walked toward the stairs.

“I want you both asleep by 11!” my dad yelled at us as we were heading up the stairs.

I felt Mark touch my ass as we were walking up the stairs and I giggled. We headed down the hall and into my room where we shut the door behind us. I dropped my stuff and looked at him. He had the biggest smile on his face.

“Mark, listen.” I said seriously. “I love you dude, but I’m not exactly sure about this whole gay thing. I mean, I love you, I feel great right now being with you, but I’m just not sure about it.”

Mark grabbed my sides and kissed me. We stuck our tongues straight into each others mouths and let them duel each other for a few minutes. I felt like he was pushing it down my throat and I loved it. He kept pushing me backward across my room until our kiss broke when I fell back on my bed. He looked over me with his eyes wide open.

“You don’t have to feel sure of anything.” He said smoothly. He grabbed my hand and held it in his. “You just have to be sure of this.” I felt his heartbeat from his hand. I loved him so much.

I looked again and saw the cut on his wrist. I stared at it for a few moments before I spoke. “Why is there a cut on your wrist?” I asked him. His attention was suddenly distracted from me. He wouldn’t answer the question. “Tell me now, or get the fuck out!” I demanded.

“I felt so bad yesterday.” he said as he sat down next to me and I sat up. “I thought you were going to hate me forever. I didn’t know what to do. I was in the bathroom shaving and I pulled out of the blades and did it. I didn’t think about it I just did it. It didn’t bleed very much so I guess I failed.”

“Oh…” I said looking at him. I felt so bad. I couldn’t believe I made him do that. “Promise me you will not do that again…” I said to him softly.

“I promise.” He said quietly.

I looked at him and god did he look good. All the girls I had ever been with were great looking, but at this moment he took the cake. He was my hero and he was my love.

“We better get to bed.” I said softly, as I took off my shirt and started to unbutton my pants. “I’m not going to have sex with you tonight, Mark.” I said to him as I finished taking my pants off. He stood up and took his shirt off and let it fall to the floor. I looked for the bruise that I saw in the dream but I couldn’t find it. I was somewhat relieved by it to be honest.

I crawled up onto my bed and Mark rolled out the sleeping bag he had brought over next to my bed. I threw him one of me pillows, which he caught, and threw down near the top of his sleeping bag. I turned to look at him when I saw him dive, and in one large thud, land on his sleeping bag.

“Ouch!” he yelled as he hit the floor. He picked up one of my shoes that was under his sleeping bag. Apparently he couldn’t see it when he laid the sleeping bag over it. He stood up and lifted up the sleeping bag to try and find anything else under it. He slowly laid it back down. Just then I saw a bright pink mark right where the bruise had been in the dream.

A few minutes passed before I broke the silence in the room. “Mark, what was your dream about?” I asked him, when I felt comfortable in my bed. I saw him pop his head up to the side of my bed, like a puppy pops his head over the foot of the bed to look at his master.

“I don’t remember very well. Why don’t you tell me what your dream was about?” he said with a grin.
