Chapter 4
***
"But why is this vampire attacking us in our dreams?" Draco asked in a fearful tone. Harry looked over at Draco took his hand in his when he noticed how much the blond boy was shaking. Harry didn't blame him; the vision of a blond vampire killing a family of six wasn't something that you could just forget. The youngest child was just two years old but Cassius showed no mercy at all; in fact he laughed as he killed every one of them.
"Because he has a very sick sense of humor," Liam snarled in reply.
"B-but how can he?" Harry asked Dumbledore who was sitting on the other side of his desk, skimming through an old book. Dumbledore sighed at Harry's question as he put down his book,
"I'm not entirely sure Harry," he replied honestly. "This is different from Voldemort sending you visions through your scar; it seems that vampires have the ability to communicate with those they have bitten by using dreams."
"He does that to me to," Liam said in what sounded like a tone of desperation as he took a seat and put his head in his hands. "He sends me visions of our past together..."
Dumbledore quickly rose out of his seat, "Boys I'd like to meet with you both before breakfast tomorrow but now it is time for you both to return to your beds, goodnight and sleep well."
"Goodnight professor," they both said in unison before they left Dumbledore's office. As he made his way out of the room Harry saw Dumbledore walk over to Liam who still had his head in his hands.
"Do you think Professor Varslier is losing it?" Draco asked them as they both walked down the deserted hallway towards the portrait to their room.
"Dunno," Harry replied, "I hope not, he's too important to loose," he added. Both boys were too tired to say anything more and both collapsed into Harry's bed and cuddled up to each other as they both entered the dreamscape.
***
Liam made his way back to his small flat after talking to Albus for another ten minutes after the two boys had left. Just before he reached the portrait to his room he stopped in the middle of the hallway and let out a shrill whistle. Nothing happened for a few moments but suddenly the fluttering of wings could be heard and a small owl, one of the schools delivery owls flew around the corner and perched on his outstretched arm. Liam took a small piece of parchment out of his robes and wrote a short note on it before attaching it to the owl's leg. He walked over to the open window at the end of the dark hallway,
"Make sure Cassius gets this, ok?" he whispered to the bird before he released it out the window. Liam turned and walked back to his room, looking forward to finally getting some sleep, even if it was against his nocturnal nature.

Neville Longbottom made his way back up to Gryffindor Tower where he was looking forward to a well needed shower. He had just run around the Hogwarts Grounds twice and was feeling very tired but he knew that once he had his shower he will be ready for another day of learning.
Over the holidays Neville visited his parents at St. Mungo's twice a week, and twice a week he would sit there and try to communicate with them. All he ever wanted was for them to say his name, just once, that's all he ever asked for. But thanks to the efforts of that bitch Bellatrix Lestrange all his parents could do was talk like two year olds and look at him with vacant expressions on their faces.
The happiest moment of Neville's life occurred when he was ten; he was on one of his usual visits and was crying as any ten year old boy would at the sight of his parents in an institution for the insane. He turned away, not wanting his mother and father to see his tears for they would not understand. He was quietly sobbing to himself when he felt an arm on his shoulder, he turned around and his mother was standing beside him with a tissue in her hand. He took the tissue and instead of using it to wipe his tears he pocketed it right away, not that his mother noticed anyway.
As he walked towards the portrait of the fat lady he reached into his pocket and took out a small metal case he always carried with him. He opened the case and inside it was an old tissue,
"I'll make you proud mum and dad," he said to no-one in particular as he stared at the simple object that meant so much to him. "I'll avenge you and become the best man I can be."
Neville made sure that he looked at the tissue at least once a day to reinforce his desire, his desire to avenge his parents and become an auror just like them. As soon as he arrived home for the summer holidays he had asked his Grandmother to arrange tutoring for him and he started to exercise every day. His Grandmother watched in awe as her clumsy Grandchild suddenly became a man over the course of eight weeks. He no longer had trouble with charms and potions, and he finally had confidence in himself and his abilities.

"Why can't I be a member?" Draco snorted as he, Harry, Ron and Hermione all sat down to breakfast at the Gryffindor table. Harry noticed that the Slytherin table were all still glaring at Draco but fortunately nothing else had happened after the incident two days ago. Apparently after casting memory charms on those who attacked Draco, Snape had talked to the whole Slytherin house and warned that anybody who tried to hurt Draco would find themselves expelled from the school.
"A member of what?" Hermione asked as she reached for the eggs on a plate in the middle of the table.
Harry sighed, he and Draco weren't supposed to talk about The Order of the Phoenix around others but he decided that he should tell Ron and Hermione since they are his best friends and the cat was already out of the bag anyway.
"We'll tell you later," he said, deciding that the breakfast table wasn't the place to discuss the fight against Voldemort. He gave Draco a glare that said `don't say anything else,' Draco just nodded and squeezed Harry's thigh. Harry knew that no matter how upset Draco was, Dumbledore would not change his mind. As he said in their meeting earlier it wasn't that he had troubles with Draco being in the Order, it was the rest of the Order who immediately associated the word Malfoy with `evil.' Apparently Lucius Malfoy was one of the main people who were appointed to ensure the destruction of the order by Voldemort. Dumbledore had also told Harry that his father and mother used to be members of the order; he felt a great surge of hurt when he heard that news for some reason.
A loud sigh from Draco brought Harry away from his thoughts and he noticed that his blond lover was staring at his plate with a sad look on his face.
"I miss it, I miss tasting food," he said as he continued to stare at his empty plate.
"I know what you mean," Harry replied as he too looked at his plate. "I guess we could eat some..."
"I wouldn't Harry," Draco said as he looked up at him.
"Why?"
"Because I had a bread roll for lunch yesterday and I had bad stomach aches all afternoon, I don't think our bodies are capable of pain-free digestion anymore."
"That sucks," Ron said as he helped himself to the sausages.
Harry's attention was diverted by a group of third years sitting at the Slytherin table that were laughing and pointing at him as they read the latest edition of the Daily Prophet. Harry sighed, already knowing what they were laughing about, in their meeting before breakfast Dumbledore had informed Harry that the Minster for Magic still refused to believe the fact that Voldemort had returned. Rather than focusing his efforts on trying to investigate the matter further Fudge instead decided that he would use all of his available resources (including the Daily Prophet) to discredit Harry and Dumbledore.
"Don't worry about them Harry," Draco said as he saw Harry's sad look. "Fudge is a complete fool but I'm sure that the attacks that have been happening recently should cause others to realize that you're telling the truth about Cedric."
"Thanks Draco," Harry replied as he smiled at his friend/lover.
***
Colin Creevy continued to watch Harry Potter with suspicion. Not only was it weird that he was now sitting and talking to his rival Draco Malfoy like they were old friends but Colin also noticed something else, he hasn't eaten anything so far this year. The reason why Colin started to watch his idol for suspicious acts was because of a photo he had taken of the Gryffindor table during the welcoming feast. The photo came out alright, everybody was having a good time eating and talking, the only thing that was missing was Harry Potter. At first Colin had thought that he had missed Harry in the shot but the fact that Harry Potter's robes were present and he wasn't, made it look like he was invisible somehow.
"Morning Colin," Ginny Weasley said as she sat down next to him.
"Morning Ginny," Colin replied as he continued to watch his idol like a hawk, looking to see if he finally decided to eat something.

"Wonder what sort of crazy creature Hagrid has in store for us today?" Hermione said as they made their way down to Hagrid's hut.
"Hopefully it has no teeth and no claws," Ron replied.
"Yes, it seems that Professor Hagrid does love anything that can cause lots of pain," Draco added, remembering with a shudder his run-in with Buckbeak in his second year.
Harry just giggled, "If you're talking about the time you were attacked by Buckbeak you deserved that."
"I probably did," Draco replied, remembering with a great deal of guilt how he had tried to get the man sacked for that. "God I was such a prat back then," he sighed to himself.
Ron opened his mouth to probably agree but Harry managed to say something before him, "But you've changed now Draco," he said quickly. Ron's mouth snapped shut.
"'Ello there you four."
The four of them looked up and saw Hagrid waiting at his pumpkin patch with fang at his side. Harry, Ron and Hermione waved to the giant while Draco just stood there with his arms folded, Harry guessed that waving must be a very unmalfoyish behavior.
"So Harry I see you've made friends with young Mr. Malfoy here," Hagrid said as they approached him.
"Yeah," Harry replied as he gave Malfoy a nudge.
"Oh, ummm... Professor Hagrid I apologize for all of the terrible things I have done to you in the past," Malfoy said quickly.
Harry wished that Colin Creevy was around so he could see the look on Draco's face when Hagrid accepted his apology and gave him a hug to seal the deal. He had talked Draco into apologizing last night on their way back from their midnight meeting with Professor's Dumbledore and Varslier. Fortunately for Draco the rest of the class arrived after he had apologized and been hugged, he looked thoroughly relieved about that fact.
"Okay now that everybody is here lets start," and he turned and started to walk towards the forbidden forest. Harry hoped that they weren't going to go in too deep; something bad always seemed to happen every time they did that. After a few minutes of walking they came to a clearing and Harry's jaw dropped when he saw the amazing black winged horses.
"Wow!" he said out loud, Draco, Ron and Hermione just looked at him,
"What?" they said.
"Can't you see them?" Harry asked. As they shook their heads Harry noticed that only he, Neville and one other student from Slytherin were looking at the creatures as they grazed in the clearing.
"Now these creatures are called Thestrals, the reason that many of you can't see them is that only those who have seen death can see a Thestral."
"So what are the rest of us supposed to do?" one of the Slytherin students asked.
"You can ask the ones that can see them what they look like," Hagrid replied merrily. Before Harry could be asked by anyone Hagrid whisked him away from the class and they walked for a minute before Hagrid turned to Harry with a worried look on his face,
"I `eard what happened to you, are you alright?" he asked with a worried look on his face.
"I'm alright Hagrid," Harry answered. "I guess now I'm officially a magical creature, I guess you could use Draco and me for one of your classes," he joked.
Hagrid smiled but then his tone got serious, "Listen Harry, wizards don't like those who are different. You saw that last year after that article was written about me, just be careful you hear?"
"Don't worry Hagrid, I'll be careful," he replied, a bit taken aback at the serious look on Hagrid's face.
***
"So what did Hagrid want to talk to you about?" Ron asked as they made their way back up to the castle.
"He just told me to be careful," Harry answered, knowing that Ron, Draco and Hermione knew what he meant and as a result, they didn't press the matter any further.
"I wish I could have seen the Thestrals," Hermione said with a look of longing on her face. Harry just looked at her,
"Do you?" he asked.
Hermione face took on a look of horror when she realized what she had been implying,
"Oh no Harry, I didn't mean it like that. I just meant..."
"It's ok," Harry said quickly, "I know what you meant."
***
All through lunch Harry was amused at how Draco's face could change from a look of disgust to a look of jealously so quickly as he watched Ron attack his meal with such gusto. Harry knew that while Draco was repulsed by Ron's eating habits, he was also secretly envious that he could eat.
Harry's attention was diverted by a lone figure sitting at the end of the table, it was Neville. Harry had been noticing over the past few days a big change in Neville Longbottom. It wasn't only the fact that he had lost all of his body fat, but his magical abilities and confidence in his magical abilities had increased tenfold. Yesterday Neville hadn't messed up once in Potions, even Snape had raised his eyebrows at the way Neville had quickly brewed his Shrinking Potion so quickly and when Snape decided to test the Potion it had worked perfectly.
Harry noticed that Neville just stared into space, not looking at anybody or paying attention to anything as he ate. Harry could feel that there was something inside Neville, something that was responsible for his sudden change.
As Harry turned back to his friends he saw Cho Chang take a seat at the Ravenclaw table next to her new boyfriend. It was weird but Harry no longer felt that fluttering in his stomach every time he saw her, that feeling was now reserved for Draco. Draco saw Harry looking at the girl and tapped him in the back of the head,
"What was that for?" Harry asked.
Draco leaned forward and whispered in Harry's ear, "You're mine Potter and if anybody else tries to take you away from me they'll be sorry."
"That's so cute!" Hermione squealed as she and Ron were the only ones who could hear Draco, Ron just snorted and went back to his meal.

"...And if you start before I signal to begin, I will take house points." Liam finished, glad that this was the last class he would have to read the rules out to. He looked over at Harry and Draco and then at Crabbe and Goyle who were sitting with Pansy Parkinson and the other Slytherins a few rows behind Draco and Harry. Liam decided that it was time for him to teach Crabbe and Goyle a lesson for nearly exposing his kind.
"Ok, first up, Mr. Potter vs. Mr. Goyle in this circle to my left, and in the circle to my right we'll have Mr. Crabbe vs. Mr. Malfoy." Liam tried as hard as he could not to smile but the looks on Harry's and Draco's faces told him that they had already worked out why he was pairing them up in such a way.
***
"That was a bit mean, using that many hexes on Crabbe," Harry said as he lay beside Draco. They had both just finished their homework and were lying on Draco's bed, Harry found that potions homework was nearly too easy when Draco was there to help him out.
"Well the big lummox deserved it," Draco replied.
Harry just sighed and closed his eyes, he opened them quickly when he felt Draco's hand slip underneath his shirt,
"Draco, we're not supposed to..." he said, gasping at the tickling sensation.
"Typical Gryffindor," Draco replied as his hand drifted lower and lower. "And how do you think they're ever going to find out?"
"We shouldn't," Harry gasped again.
"We shouldn't, but I know you will," Draco replied and he quickly slipped his hand into Harry's pajamas and grabbed what he was looking for.
"Oh wow!" Harry exclaimed.
"You like that huh?" Draco asked his boyfriend as he leaned forward and started to nibble on his ear. Harry could only reply with a short whimper, Draco shifted around and pushed down Harry's pants, causing his fully erect penis to spring into the open air. Draco leaned forward and licked the tip of it, causing Harry to jump nearly six feet in the air. Draco just smiled and swallowed Harry's cock right down to the base,
"Oh wow!" Harry exclaimed for the second time as his blond lover bobbed up and down on his stiff penis. After a minute of pure bliss Harry started to feel his orgasm swell up inside him,
"Draco, I'm gonna uhhh..." he was unable to finish as Draco increased the suction on his already sensitive member and started to bob up and down even faster. Harry closed his eyes and started to see stars as he edged closer and closer to his impending climax, then suddenly he cried out and started to ejaculate his seed into his lover's mouth. When he was finally finished Draco let Harry's flaccid penis drop out of his mouth and looked at Harry with a look of amusement on his face,
"It was that good huh?" he asked.
Harry didn't answer but instead started to work on releasing Draco's penis from its confinement, once he had it pulsating in his hand he wasted no time and swallowed it up. Draco started to whimper and thrash about, already close to orgasm after taking care of Harry,
"Ohhh God!" he managed to blurt out as Harry looked him in the eyes with a look that couldn't be mistaken for anything other than pure love. That was too much for Draco and he let loose a healthy load of teen seed into Harry's mouth. After Draco had finished twitching Harry moved back up next to him and they started to make out in the dark.
"Hmmm... we are going to HAVE to do that again," Harry whispered between kisses.
"Not so worried about breaking the rules now, are you Potter?"
***
For the next few weeks Harry's life at Hogwarts was very uneventful, well, as uneventful as it could be for a vampire surrounded by wizards. He and Draco noticed a general increase in their abilities as the term went on, Hermione was still was the number one in the grade for written work, but he and Draco were both the best when it came to the practical part of each class. Hermione and Ron visited Harry and Draco every night helping them with their homework and babbling on about OWLs until it got to the point where Draco threatened to cast a silencing charm on her to shut her up. Harry remembered that moment because he believed it was the first time he'd ever seen Ron and Draco agreeing with each other.
Angelina was made the captain of the Gryffindor quidditch team by Professor Dumbledore and Harry made his eagerness to play known to her immediately. Their team had only lost two members since that last win two years ago that secured the quidditch cup so tryouts were held. To his great delight Ron was made keeper and the spare chaser position was filled by one of the seventh years.
Snape kept meeting with Harry to talk about his experiences with the Dursley's and also to introduce him to Occlumency at the request of Professor Dumbledore. The purpose of this strange new subject was to protect Harry from Voldemort's visions while he slept. Harry thought his year at Hogwarts was going very smoothly until Dumbledore made two new announcements one morning at breakfast, the first was Hagrid going to Eastern Europe for the rest of the school year, and the second was that The Ministry of Magic were sending a witch to inspect the school. Although Dumbledore didn't made it clear what the witch was inspecting the school for, Harry knew that it was probably Fudge's start of his plan to attempt to remove Dumbledore from Hogwarts. This suspicion was confirmed when he and Draco were having their weekly meeting with Liam six weeks into the semester on a Saturday.
"I'm glad to see that you are both handling your thirst very well, much better than I did when I first was turned but then things were... different back then," Liam said as he looked at the two vampires sitting in front of him.
Harry and Draco both knew not to ask about Liam's past as he had made it quite clear in his first few meetings with them that he wasn't going to tell them anything. Liam got up out of his chair and started to pace around the room,
"Now there's another thing I have to warn you about. That witch from the ministry is arriving tomorrow so we must tread carefully, very carefully. Her name is Umbridge and I don't want to hear about either of you getting on her bad side, me on the other hand... Well if she crosses me then she'll be sorry," he said with a look on his face that told Harry and Draco that this Umbridge women would be smart to stay out of his way.
"But why do we have to tread carefully?" Harry asked.
Liam glared at him, "Because you're students, and also because she is one of the main figures in the Protection from Magical Creatures Act, which includes me, you, Draco, Professor Hagrid and even Professor Lupin. However at the moment we have one thing going for us, she thinks us three are human and I don't want her to find out the truth, so tread carefully. That will be all for today," he said as he got up and left the room with Harry and Draco in tow.
***
After Liam left the meeting he cast the Ultravioletous charm on himself and quickly left the castle. He walked until he was far away from the grounds and then apparated to the place that was written in the letter he had received back from Cassius.
Unknown to Liam Professor Dumbledore had noticed him quickly leaving the grounds,
"What are you up to Liam?" he asked himself as he observed him walking out through the front gates.
***
Liam made his way down the dark alley, it was one of the side streets of Knockturn Alley and Liam knew that Cassius like these dark types of places.
"Well, it's been a while, hasn't it Liam?" a voice hissed from the shadows.
Liam's eyes widened, it was him! He spun around and saw another man around his height and age with curly strawberry blond hair and sparkling blue eyes.
"After all of this time you still look really good, I knew you couldn't resist the chance to see me again" Cassius said as he approached Liam and looked at him closely.
"And after all of this time, you're still a complete prick," Liam answered back, he managed to keep the fear out of his voice but he found that his hands were beginning to shake involuntary.
Cassius chuckled, "Now is that the way to speak to the one that gave you the gift of immortality?" he asked with a pretend look of hurt on his face.
"I despise you," Liam snapped back.
Cassius still laughed as he walked slowly behind Liam. Liam closed his eyes as Cassius buried his face into the back of his neck, he let out a sigh.
"You know you are still the only other person I've ever met that fascinates me Liam," he said as he started to kiss the back of Liam's neck. "If you despise me so much then why didn't you finishes me off when you had the chance?"
Liam snapped out of the trance that he was in as he remembered that day when he finally stood up against the one who created him. Liam had finally managed to separate Cassius from his wand and the blond wizard was lying on the ground with a broken leg...
"Don't kill me Liam," Cassius pleaded but Liam didn't hear him. All he could think about was the fact that he had killed the only person he had ever loved, and Cassius was responsible.
He walked over to where Cassius was laying and started the wand movement for a powerful fire spell that would turn Cassius to ashes.
"Please Liam," Cassius continued to plead, "I'll never bother you again, I love you."
Liam paused and looked down at his maker who smiled at him, in Liam's mind a great battle was raging. He did love Cassius in some messed up way but the man was evil, pure evil. Liam sighed as he made the wrong decision and turned his back on him giving him the chance to escape.
"Go, and don't ever let me see or hear from you again," he said, hating himself for what he was doing. He turned around thirty seconds later and Cassius was gone...
Suddenly Liam was snapped back to the present, Cassius was now standing in front of him looking him directly in the eyes.
"What have you told them at that school you work at? I bet you told them that you did kill me and have no idea how I survived. But you and I both know that you were weak and couldn't find it in your heart to kill me," he said as an evil grin formed on his face.
"And do you know what?" Cassius continued as he leaned forward and started to nibble Liam's ear, "I still don't think you have what it takes to finish me off."
Liam sighed, being this close to Cassius again felt good, so good! He was about to let himself go and kiss Cassius back but suddenly the vision of a nineteen year old man with jet black hair, green eyes and the cutest button nose flashed before his eyes and only one word ran through his mind,
"Jonathon"
Suddenly Liam snapped out of his love struck state and saw the person in front of him for what he really was. He pushed Cassius back with all of his strength and the vampire landed five meters away.
"So it seems you still have some balls left," Cassius said as he got to his feet.
"What are you planning?" Liam asked angrily, Cassius just chuckled,
"If you are referring to my sudden alliance with Thomas then I'm afraid I can't tell you," he answered with that evil grin still on his face.
"But why?" Liam asked, "Why are you helping him? You've never cared for the affairs of humans before now. And why did you turn those two boys?"
"There is one thing I like to see," Cassius said as he walked towards Liam again who now had his wand out and ready.
"I like to see things that entertain me, such as the wheel of war that is approaching this pathetic country. Even the muggles will all be wiped out; it should make for some fine entertainment. As for Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy, well I was hungry and they were in the wrong place at the wrong time, the reason why they were turned was I had to leave before I could kill them."
"You monster!" Liam exclaimed as he raised his wand ready to cast.
"What?" Cassius asked as he reached out and grabbed Liam's hand, which was now shaking. "Going to kill me?" he said mockingly as he leaned forward and kissed Liam on the lips. Liam could only stand there, completely helpless as Cassius broke the kiss and started to move towards the shadows from where he came.
"You still don't have the guts to finish it," his voice hissed as he disappeared from sight.
Liam wiped a stray tear that was slowly traveling down his cheek and started to make his way back towards Diagon Alley, hating himself every step of the way.

The next night Harry noticed the witch from the ministry of magic sitting at the head table during dinner; actually she looked more like a toad as Draco had pointed out as soon as they had entered the Great Hall. Harry immediately took a dislike to her when she interrupted Dumbledore so she could speak, then she blabbed on for five minutes, Harry was glad that he was too bored to catch a word.
Later that night Harry and Draco were studying in their common room when they heard someone knock on their portrait. Harry said the password as he got up, expecting Ron and Hermione,
"About time you two came down to study..." Harry started but stopped when he met the face of Umbridge.
"May I come in?" she asked.
"Ummm... Okay," Harry replied, completely thrown as to why she would be here this late at night. She followed him back inside and the portrait closed behind them.
"Ah Mr. Malfoy I presume," she said as she saw Draco sitting on a sofa taking notes out of his potions book.
"You presume wisely Ms. Umbridge," Draco replied coldly.
"I am wondering," she started as she looked around the room, "As to why you both get your own special living quarters."
"There were certain... reasons," Draco replied as he quickly glanced at Harry. Harry knew that Draco wanted him to be quiet, after all Draco was so much better at handling situations like these.
"I wonder if I might speak to you alone for a few minutes Mr. Malfoy?" she asked as she narrowed her eyes at Harry.
Harry took the hint right away, "I'll just be going to bed then," he said as he walked into their bedroom, closing the door behind him. Harry lay in his bed for ten minutes before Draco entered,
"She's gone," he said as he took off his robes and joined Harry under the covers. They had both started to sleep naked together after they found it such a bother to get out of their clothes every time one of them had the `need.'
"What did she want?" Harry asked.
"She wanted dirt on Dumbledore, and when I said no she kept talking about how my father would have helped her."
"You're not your father Draco," Harry said quickly.
"I know," he sighed, "But even after all of the things he's done to me, I still love him."
Harry knew how Draco felt about his father and for some reason, experienced a feeling of helplessness in not being able to help his blond lover.

It seemed that Umbridge wasn't just there to examine Dumbledore, in fact she was in a few of Harry's classes. What annoyed Harry the most was the instant dislike she had towards Hagrid, who wasn't really that phased as he was leaving in a few days anyway. However her constant interruptions during class to advise the teachers on what they should and should not teach were getting annoying. None of the teachers seemed to mind and just continued on with their lesson, in fact, out of the entire staff only Professors McGonagall and Varslier dared to put her in her place. Although Professor McGonagall's method of telling her to be quiet was far more subtle than Liam's method which occurred in just her first class with him.
"Okay class, wands out we have a lot to get through today," Liam said in greeting as he entered the room and stepped into the main dueling circle. He looked around at his students, ignoring the witch who was sitting in the corner.
"Okay today we are going to work on the Fuutonous Spell which when cast, unleashes a great gust of wind that can knock you opponent away."
"Ahem!" came a voice from the back of the room.
"Okay so how about we have Ms. Granger and Mr. Zambini step into the circle. I'll show you the wand movement needed to cast the..."
"Ahem!" came the voice again.
Rather than let it affect his teaching Liam just looked around the room, "I didn't know there was an echo in here," he said simply, and he went back to teaching his class the wand movements. Harry looked at Draco and Ron who were both smiling; it seemed that Liam had his own way of coping with the nosy toad.
"Excuse me!" Umbridge exclaimed from the back of the room, finally tired of being ignored.
"Oh!" Liam said suddenly, "Are you a new student? I do apologize; I just thought you had a very peculiar throat problem."
Harry and Ron both struggled not to laugh out loud at the look of outrage on Umbridge's face.
"I am not a student! I am here on behalf on the Ministry of Magic to examine the workings of this school and to examine the credibility of its teachers," she said angrily as she got up and marched to the front of the room.
"Do you mind? I'm trying to teach here," Liam said as he eyed the woman with great dislike.
"So your name is Liam Varslier?" She said, ignoring his protests as she looked at her notepad. "Hmmm... where were you educated?"
"That's none of your business!" Liam replied quickly, realizing that the school he was taught magic by didn't even exist anymore; in fact he was taught in a cave in the mountains with six other wizards.
Umbridge glanced at him, "I'm not sure that the spells you are teaching here comply with ministry regulations."
"I only teach spells that I believe can protect students in and out of the dueling circle," Liam replied.
"Protect them? Protect them from whom?" Umbridge asked as she eyed the dueling professor with mistrust.
"From attackers such as Voldemort and his death eaters," Liam replied bluntly, ignoring the shock on the woman's face and the gasps from his class at the mention of the dark lord's name. Liam wasn't scared of the name though, where ever there is man there is evil, no matter what age.
"I see," Umbridge replied, her eyes narrowing even further. "Don't underestimate me Professor Varslier; I won the silver medal at the English dueling championships two years ago."
"Wow," Liam said with what was obviously false excitement. "Did you hear that class? We have an experienced dueler in our midst, would you care to show me how it is done then?" he asked.
Umbridge sneered, "Very well then, but I warn you I'm good." Umbridge dropped her notepad and stepped into the dueling circle and faced Liam; they both raised their wands and bowed at each other.
"Twenty galleons on Professor Varslier," Ron whispered in Harry's ear. Harry and Draco both looked at each other and grinned,
"We'll need someone to say when to begin..." Liam started,
"Begin!" Draco yelled from the crowd of students.
Umbridge started to cast but Liam was too fast for her,
"Fuutonous!" Liam yelled and a great roar of wind rushed towards Umbridge, she tried to counter it with a spell but she was blown ten feet out of the ring and landed in the next dueling circle. As she lay there the room was silent for a few moments, nobody moved to help her until suddenly Pansy Parkinson stood up and helped the woman to her feet.
"Ms. Parkinson could you please escort Ms. Umbridge to the hospital wing?" Liam asked in a sweet voice. "Oh and Ms. Umbridge, please don't interrupt my class again," he added before he turned to his class and started to teach them the complex wand movements for the spell he had just cast.

Professor Dumbledore shook his head as he watched the duel, if you could call it that since it was just one spell. He had watched it from the doorway of the dueling classroom,
"At least he didn't kill her," he said to himself as he made his way back to his office.

Damien O'Brien sighed to himself as he sat at his boring desk in the Dangerous Charms division of the Irish Ministry of Magic. He had topped his school in all of his classes, and still he was forced to sit at a desk for a few years before his superiors would allow him to do any field work. He smiled at the picture of his wife and three month old baby, the only thing on his desk that made him smile.
"I wish I was out there doing something," he said to himself glumly. Suddenly the whole building shook,
"What was that?" he asked himself as he and the others who were in the room rose up out of their seats with their wands in hand. They all made their way out into the main hallway where the hundreds who worked at the ministry every day were already standing there, wondering what was going on.
"The wards for the building were taken down!" someone shouted from the crowd.
"Are we being invaded?" asked another voice.
Suddenly Damien, who was at the front of the crowd looked up to see a solitary blond-haired wizard entering through the front door of the ministry, Damien guessed he must have been a wizard because only wizards can see the entrance.
"What do you want?" he yelled at the figure.
The figure looked up and smiled at him with his gleaming white teeth, "Entertainment."
Damien just looked at this strange wizard, wondering what to make of him. Despite his words and confidence he looked too young to be very powerful; Damien wondered how he would take on the two hundred or so people here right now.
Suddenly the intruders smile widened and he started to wave his wand, Damien tried to guess what spell he was going to use and counter it but due to the strange wand movements that he'd never seen before and the speed that he was moving his hand it was impossible.
"Katonous Karyuuendanous!" the figure yelled as he pointed his wand at the floor.

The two hundred or so employees of the Irish Ministry of Magic stood no chance. As the massive jet of flame which spanned the whole hallway ripped through the hall the last thing they could hear was an evil laugh that sounded so evil it felt like it wasn't from this world. Those who managed to jump out of the path of destruction were all killed by death eaters who were assigned to scour through the building after Cassius was done and kill any survivors.
Cassius was very pleased with himself as he looked around at the smoldering heap of bodies,
"I'm going to catch my lunch, tell Tom this country is ours," he said to a death eater as he walked out of the building. The death eater just nodded and smiled.

It was late in the evening and Harry was in the middle of a study session with Draco, Ron and Hermione before Professor McGonagall asked him, and only him to come to the headmaster's office. At first Harry thought he was in big trouble but the look on McGonagall's face said otherwise. He left the other three to study and followed his head of house to Dumbledore's office. He was shocked to find all of the members of The Order of the Phoenix sitting there looking at him.
"I-I thought the next meeting wasn't for another week," Harry said nervously as the other members shifted in their seats.
"Yes but something has happened, something bad," growled Mad-Eye Moody.
"Have a seat Harry," Dumbledore said from behind his desk, "We have a lot to discuss."

"Ireland and France!" Ron exclaimed.
"Yes," sighed Harry, suddenly feeling very tired, it was probably because he had quidditch practice today and then followed it with a heap of study.
"This is big," Hermione said with wide eyes, "They are two of our closest and most powerful neighbors."
"Ireland is stronger than France," Draco said as he looked at his potion book, "I can't see how they could have fallen. I've been to their Ministry of Magic building before; Voldemort would need an army of at least three hundred death eaters to even have a chance at taking that place."
"Apparently it only took one wizard," Harry said quietly, "And one spell. It wasn't Voldemort as he was leading the army that attacked the French Ministry of Magic."
"I wonder who it was," Hermione said to herself.
"I wonder," Harry said to himself as he leaned back against Draco who started to kiss the back of his neck. Harry just sighed, feeling all of the tension and pressure from his day leave him.
"I hate when they get all kissy in front of us," Ron whispered to Hermione.
Hermione smiled, "I think it's cute, now kiss me Ron," she replied.
