Waiting for Love Chapter 15
He entered the house through the garage and dropped his stuff on the kitchen table. The house was quiet. He was alone again. Check the refrigerator and take a few swigs of milk from the container. Pick up his stuff from the table and head for his room. He stands in the door, looks around at his room then sets his stuff down on his desk and begins to strip. He stretches his slender 6' 2" lithe frame out on his bed. His fingers wrap around his already hard 7' member, his best friend.
Slowly he strokes his meat, pausing ever so often to spread the precum around the bulbous head. With his eyes closed he imagines taking the head of another cock into his mouth and tasting it. His tongue plays with that object. Slowly he strokes until it explodes its load of cum into his mouth. "Oooh, Uncle Dave!" he moans. At that moment he is brought back to reality by the sensation of his own cum splashing on his chest. After resting for a couple of minutes he uses his fingers to scoop up a glob of his cum and put it in his mouth. He wanders what Uncle Dave's tastes like. At that moment he decides he has to have answers to his nagging questions. He can't talk to his dad, not about this. Uncle Dave, although the object of many of his jerk-off fantasies has always been honest with him, has never pulled his punches. He reaches for some tissue and cleans up his mess. He dresses again, leaves the house, gets in his car and heads for Uncle Dave's house.
One Thursday after work, as Dave pulled into the driveway he noticed what looked like Tim's car parked in front of his house and someone was sitting on the front steps. Upon closer examination, it was Tim. Rather than drive the car into the garage, Dave stopped in the driveway, got out and walked up to greet Tim.
"Hi, Timmy! This sure is a nice surprise. What brings you to my place?" (Dave and Tim's parents are the only ones who can get away with calling him Timmy.)
"Hi, Uncle Dave. Can we go inside first?"
"Sure! Walk this way." Dave chuckled remembering a line from an old movie. Tim chuckled too because he recognized the same line from an old movie Dave made him watch a few years ago. Dave was attempting to use humor to break some tension he perceived. If Tim came to him on a school night wanting to talk about something, it was probably serious. Dave wanted to lighten the atmosphere a little before they started.
"Can I get you anything to drink?"
"No thanks." `Hmmm, short answers. This is serious.' Dave thought.
"Have a seat; make yourself comfortable." He pointed to a chair and sat down opposite Tim. "I'm all yours, son. What's on your mind?"
After Tim was seated, he began to squirm a little. "Uncle Dave..." He started but didn't finish. Dave just sat patiently waiting for Tim to find his voice, his courage.
"Uncle Dave..."
"You already said that, son."
"Yeah, I guess I did.... If I did something bad, would you hate me?"
`Is this kid screwed up?' Dave thought. "Tim, Tim, Tim." Dave said as he stood up, and walked over to the handsome young specimen of manhood who was also rising from the chair. Dave took Tim in his arms and hugged him. "I love you. I will always love you. There is nothing you could do that would make me not love you. I might be disappointed from time to time but I will always love you. If something is troubling you, tell me. You can ask or tell me anything. You know that." Dave was still holding Tim, gently rubbing his back like he always did.
"Can we sit back down, Uncle Dave?" Dave released Tim and they both sat back down. Dave was sure he saw Tim readjust his crouch as he sank into the chair. Dave remained quite, looking at Tim. The kid was really troubled.
"Uncle Dave, ... how would you know if you were gay?"
Dave held his breath. He had a flashback to years ago when he and Tim's dad started a similar conversation in this same house. The furniture, wallpaper and carpet were new but it was the same house. Dave had to stall for time to think.
"Tim, that's a pretty serious question. It might help if you told me why you want to know. "
"Well... I think I may be but I don't know."
"Are you sexually active now?"
"Yeah, with the girls."
"Not with a guy?"
"NO!" Tim replied emphatically. "But I've been thinking about it, curious maybe."
"Well, that gets us started. I can probably answer it but I'd like to think about that for a while to make sure I'm right. Are you in a big hurry?"
"I want to know soon. It's driving me crazy"
"OK, let's try this. Now is probably not the best time to start this conversation because we don't have much time to develop it. Your mother is probably expecting you home for dinner soon and I still have a few things to do. Why don't you join me for my Saturday morning run and after that we can talk as much as you like?"
"What about Dad? Will he run with us?"
"Nah, I'll tell him to go fly a kite, or something. That's not a problem."
"OK." Tim agreed. Then a slight smile appeared on his face. Uncle Dave had not jumped on him. He was open, as usual. Tim felt better already.
Dave watched from the living room window as Tim drove away. He flipped open his cell phone and hit speed dial. "Hi, June. Let me speak to Jack, please." June was Jack's secretary and she knew Dave by the sound of his voice.
"Hi, Dave."
"Harvey's in fifteen minutes! Emergency!" Dave hung up without hearing Jack's response and headed for his car.
Dave was waiting in their usual booth with an empty mug in his shaking hands when Jack slid in on the other side of the table.
"Damn! You scare me when you call like that! Speak!"
Just then Harvey sat two beers on the table and walked away.
"You'd better take a good stiff drink first!" Dave suggested. Jack humored him and swallowed a large mouthful.
"I had a visitor sitting on my front step when I got home. Want to guess who?"
"No, you're going to tell me." Sometimes Jack just wasn't in the mood for games.
"Tim!"
"OK, so Tim was there to greet you when you got home from work. What next?"
"He wanted to talk." For the first time, Jack noticed how badly Dave's hands were shaking. He reached across the table and placed both hands on top of Dave's.
"Calm down, Dave, Buddy. Tell me." Jack said, finally sensing the seriousness of what Dave was struggling with.
"Well, we went into the house and sat down. Tim ask if I'd hate him if he did something bad and I told him I loved him, I couldn't hate him. Then he asked me ... he asked me ... how would you know if you were gay?"
Jack's face turned white. He just stared at Dave. Dave stared back. Neither spoke for several minutes.
"So, what did you tell him?" Jack finally got out of his mouth. Now his beer glass was beginning to shake a little.
"I stalled. I told him I needed to think about it to make sure I knew the right answer. I told him he needed to get home because Beth would have dinner ready. Then I suggested he run with me Saturday morning and we could talk after that."
"Whew! Great thinking! So now what?"
"So, I have to talk to him! That's what!" Dave replied with a lot of frustration and sarcasm in his voice. "And you have to help me get ready! Also, you have to find something else to do Saturday morning."
They sat looking at each other for several minutes with an occasional sip of beer. "What should I tell him?"
"The truth."
"Which truth?"
"The truth about how you know if you are gay. Remember how you knew and tell him that. I was a convert, remember? Jack paused, "And I'm damn glad of it!" He added.
"That's probably a good start. I'll also tell him about safe sex and STDs."
"Well, when he and Jim started getting noticed for their athletic prowess, I sat both boys down and gave them `The Talk'. You know, the one about the predator pussies that go after the jocks. Do you think he's sexually active? Did he say anything about that?"
"I asked, he said only with the girls. Like us. And thanks; it's good to know you already covered the bases on safe sex. I'll just cover those that are more gay related.
"And how do you do that if you are supposed to be straight? Don't you think he'll catch on?"
"If he does, he does. I'll just tell him. It'll make the talk more credible, more believable." Both men sat looking at each other for several minutes. Were they ready for this information to get out?
"What if he want's proof?" Jack asked.
"No. He'll just have to believe me." Several more minutes passed quietly as they sipped their beer.
"I really wish he could learn about it in a loving way, like I did from someone who loves him and wouldn't hurt him and would make sure he learned the right way."
When the following silence lasted too long, Dave looked up from his beer to see Jack staring at him. "What?" Then it dawned on him just what Jack had said.
"NO!" Dave shouted at the top of his lungs then ducked his head and looked around the bar to see is anyone had noticed. "No! You can't ask me to do that. He's like my own son. I just can't." Dave pleaded. "I belong to you."
"If he weren't my son, I might be able to do it. Because he is my son, I'm much too emotionally wracked to think of such a thing. Here's what I'm thinking. Knowing Tim as I do, he's going to be very curious. He always has been that type. Can't hold him back once he locks on to an idea. This region of the country offers lots of opportunities to learn such things. My greatest fear is that he will seek out some of those opportunities and that will place him at great risk. I certainly don't want him to get raped." There was a long pause. "Jack never said the words, `would you do it.'
Both men looked at each other, tears welled up in their eyes. This was a time they wanted to stand up and hold each other. The physical support was needed. But not here in the bar.
"You're going to be the one on the hot seat. However you decide, you have my love and my support. I hope you know that. I'll always stand with you." Jack placed his hands on Dave's, squeezed them, stood up and left.
