Welcome To Paradise

Chapter6: Life Is Good.

Hello everyone. How ya doing? well sense it's a 3 day weekend I have an extra day to write. So I hope yall are happy. When you're done reading each chapter please email me with what you thought of the chapter please. I love feedback so the more I get the faster I write and the longer the chapters get. So that's partly why this chapter's so short, that and I'm tired. Sorry. :o) ~Barbie ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~* "Life is good, life is great, life is unbelievable, life is hard, life is cruel, life is so beautiful."- LFO Life Is Good

I answered the door and a delivery boy who was a pimply 17 year old. I felt bad for the guy so I didn't yell at him for being late and giving us cold pizza. I walked back inside and sat the pizza on the kitchen counter. I grabbed 4 paper plates and 4 Pepsi's and headed back into the living room only to be met with two arms around my waist and a head on my shoulder.

"Josh I have to put the food down before you can take some of it." I laughed and I could feel his chest shake behind me, indicating that he was laughing to.

"Who said it was the pizza I wanted?" he whispered in my left ear. I smiled.

"No one, but that's all you're getting. You know Alex is looking pretty good right now." I teased. I walked over to the coffee table in front of my coach and set down our dinner. I turned to see his face in a pout. Damn he looked even better pouting. I smiled and walked over to him and kissed him softly.

"Hum I see your point. Maybe if I get another demonstration I can make up my mind." I smiled and I kissed him again.

"I like what ya got. Now it's Alex's turn." I smiled even wider and turned to him. He scrunched his nose.

"No thanks Ry." He laughed.

"Fine you win by forfeit." I caved.

"I knew you'd see it my way." He beamed. I laughed as my phone started ringing.

"IS it just me or is the universe trying to tell us something?" he laughed.

"I think fates telling us to back off. But who cares what fate says?" I answered and walked into the kitchen to answer my phone.

"Wow the pizza's actually here? Its not just me hallucinating again?" Jen asked with mock surprise while taking two slices and a Pepsi.

"Wow Jen what a concept food you can actually eat." Alex teased.

"Oh I see how it is you want to sleep on the couch tonight. Oh ok, keep it up and you will." Jen said in false awe.

"I'm just kidding baby." Alex apologized kissed Jen's check. He walked over to the table and took two slices for himself.

"Hey it's cold." Alex complained.

"Oh get over it you big baby." Jen replied. I laughed at Alex's pout.

"Oh I'm sorry. You want me to warm it up for you Hun?" Jen said kissing away Alex's pout. I walked over to where Josh was sitting on the coach and sat behind him putting my legs on either side of him. He leaned against me and sighed contently as we watched Jen and Alex playfully tease each other.

"If I ever get that bad shot me." I whispered in his ear.

"Oh I'd have to not only for my safety but for the protection of the universe." He smiled. I laughed and kissed the nape of his neck. We watched Star Wars first and then Charles Angels to make Jen happy. Josh fell asleep during the second movie. He snored slightly which was really funny when there was a dramatic part in the movie. When they both ended Jen and Alex went to bed. I had no idea what to do. The way I figured I had two options: A. fall asleep with him in my arms on the coach, or B let him sleep on the coach and I would sleep in my room. Hum, I think I like option A more. So I wrapped my arms around his waist and lowered him down so he was lying sideways on the coach, like I was. I grabbed the blanket off the back of the coach and wrapped it around us. The last thing I remember thinking before I fell asleep was how was how perfect Josh fit in my arms, almost like they were made for holding him.

I woke to the slight tickling sensation on my nose. I slowly blinked open my eyes and saw Josh lightly running his fingertip up and down it. I smiled up at him.

"Good morning boy friend." Josh greeted. I beamed at his choice of words.

"Good morning boy friend." I replied. He smiled back at me. He was gorgeous. Beautiful from the inside and out. This was the Josh not many people got a chance to see. The one with no make up on. The one with his hair sticking out in every direction. The one who had horrible morning breath. I laughed at my last thought and covered my mouth.

"What?" he asked confused.

"If my breath is half as bad as yours I don't want you have to have to smell it." I laughed as he covered his mouth too.

"Well then why don't we go make breakfast, Jen's flight leaves soon. When do you fly out?" I asked as Josh slowly got off the coach and rub the crink in his neck.

"Tomorrow morning 9 O'clock sharp." He replied turning around to face me. I was still sitting on the coach. Hey I was tired, I'm not really up until I have my morning cup of Joe.

"Come on." He said sticking his hands out for me to grab onto to pull me up. I interlocked our fingers and stood up. We walked into the kitchen and started making bacon and eggs. Josh obviously was a better cook hands down.

"You didn't tell me you knew how to cook." I said while putting the bacon in the microwave as he scrambled the eggs. He grinned.

"You never asked." he replied turning the stove off.

"Yeah I don't know why, somewhere between fighting and kissing it should have come up." I laughed.

"Smart ass." He laughed. I took out the bacon and put it on the counter. I unwrapped it and set two pieces on each plate. Geese what was up with me and having two of everything? Josh took each plate and scooped a helping of eggs onto each plate. On the last plate his hand his the frying pan which was still hot.

"Oh shit." He cursed and ran over to the facet and turned on the cold water. I went over to make sure he was ok and saw the blister forming.

"Oh poor baby, wait here and I'll go get the band-aids." I said before kissing his check and going to the bathroom to retrieve the band-aids and the Neosporin. Hey when you're a 2nd grade teacher you're used to treating pretty much everything. I came back into the kitchen to find Jen and Alex eating their food.

"Good morning." I greeted as I walked over to where Josh still stood next to the sink.

"This make sting a little." I warned, uncapping the Neosporin.

"Ry I think I've had this happen before." Josh replied looking at me like I was insane.

"Sorry I work with 8 year olds, habits are hard to break." I defended while putting a band-aid over the blister.

"All done, sense you were such a good boy do you want a lolly pop?" Jen mimicked.

"Not funny Jen." I replied over my shoulder as I grabbed my plate.

"So when do you guys have to leave?" Josh asked sitting down next to me.

"Trying to get rid of us already Josh?" Jen laughed.

"No its not that its just..." he tried to explain.

"I know what you mean, Jen's just being a brat." Alex interrupted.

"In about 20 minutes." Jen answered.

"Ok then how 'bout Josh and I wash the dishes while you two go pack." I suggested.

"Sounds good." Alex said grabbing Jens hand and leading her upstairs.

"Do you really think they're going to pack?" Josh asked raising his eyebrows.

"No, probably going to pull off a quickie before they have to be stuck on the plane for 10 hours." I smiled.

"What they don't want to join the mile high club?" Josh asked in mock confusion.

"No not everyone's like you Josh." I laughed.

"Hey! I resent that." He pouted. He does that a lot doesn't he?
