WESTLIFE BEGINNINGS 2 by Jay Cee
Nicky looked a little concerned with the prevailing situation. Two guys, one bed. He didn't feel too comfortable at the prospect of sharing the bed with a stranger.
"I can sleep on the floor if you want Shane," Nicky said, trying not to be an inconvenience. After all, he had locked the keys in the car, and it was his fault he was here.
"Don't be stupid, there's room enough for the two of us," Shane said, a grin spreading across his face.
"Well, its been a long day, and I wouldn't mind getting some sleep if that's okay."
"Sure."
"I'll just have a quick shower first."
"Okay, no problems Nicky."
Nicky went into the bathroom, locking the door behind him. Soon Shane could hear the sound of the water in the shower, steam starting to seep out of the vent in the bathroom door. Shane spread out on the bed, letting out a yawn after the draining day. He picked up the remote control off the nightstand, and switched on the television. The news was on. Boring he thought. He switched off the TV, his thoughts turning to the man in the shower. He had known Nicky for only a few hours, but already Shane had a crush on him. What was he going to do though? Nicky did say he had a girlfriend.
Shane sighed, thinking of who he could tell of his dilemma. There was no-one. Not Mark, not Kian, and definitely not Louis. None of them knew that he was gay. He hadn't even told his family yet. Shane didn't let his situation get to him though. Telling his family and friends about his sexuality was something that he would tackle when the time came. And anyway, he didn't have time to worry about those things now that Westside was up and running.
Shane jumped as the phone rang. He picked up the receiver, "Hello?" he said in an unsure tone.
"Shane your back," it was Mark. A frown crossed Shane's face as he felt unimpressed at being checked up on by his friend. "
"What is it Mark?"
"Just wondering if you'd got back. How come I can hear the pipes going in your room if your on the phone Shane?"
Shit he thought. "Uh, I'm running a bath Mark, that's why you can hear them."
"Oh, okay. Well anyway, I'm going to sleep. Just rang to say goodnight. See ya tomorrow, bright and early."
"Yeah, night Mark."
Shane wearily hung up the receiver, feeling annoyed at the prying nature of his friend. Their once close relationship had seemed a little strained lately, with all the pressure of the new group on their shoulders. He once felt that he could tell Mark anything. He didn't feel that way any longer.
Suddenly the sound of rushing water ceased, and Shane could hear Nicky's wet feet squelching across the tiled floor of the bathroom. He laid out on the bed and listened to Nicky's movements. The door opened and Nicky stepped out, clad only in the hotel towel. He was thin, but not terribly so, and stood at the door, Shane trying hard not to stare at his body.
"I hope you don't mind, but it's been a long day, and my shorts aren't exactly fresh, y'know, so."
"I know, birthday suit," Shane replied, understanding what Nicky was hinting at. He felt a stirring in his pants, thinking about having his hot new friend laying naked beside him in bed. He thought about sleeping naked as well, but thought that Nicky might get a little suspicious, after all, Shane had his whole wardrobe with him, and therefore had no shortage of clothes. He got up off the bad, and pulled the covers down. Entering the bathroom to brush his teeth, Shane heard the sound of skin on the sheets in the room outside. He came out to find Nicky already in bed, the hotel towel discarded on the floor.
"You don't waste any time, do you." Shane said, surprised that Nicky was already under the covers.
"Its been a long day you know."
I'm wishing for a long night too Shane thought to himself.
Shane turned his back to Nicky and unbuttoned his shirt, removing it slowly. He peered in the mirror, looking at Nicky's reflection. He was in bed facing in Shane's direction, but his eyes were closed, and in Shane's mind, he looked angelic. Shane unzipped his jeans, pushing then down slowly, being careful not to take his boxers down with them. His dick was half hard just at the thought of spending the night in the same bed as Nicky, and he was glad that Nicky, already being asleep, would not catch a glimpse of the tent in his boxers. Shane glanced up at the mirror again, only to find Nicky's eyes half open. They quickly closed again, but not before Shane realised that Nicky had had enough time for a fairly thorough inspection of his rear.
Girlfriend eh? Shane though, Wonder if she knows he's got eyes for other guys?
Shane flicked the light switch on the wall, plunging the room into darkness. He pulled up the covers on his side of the bed, getting in carefully. Even so, he managed to brush his leg against Nicky's, sending a tingle racing through Shane's body.
"Sorry," Shane whispered, his voice piercing the stillness in the room.
"S'okay," Nicky replied sleepily.
Where there was a void last night in the bed was now warm, as Shane now had company with him. Nicky's breathing slowed and became rhythmic as he drifted into sleep. Shane propped himself up and studied Nicky's form in the faltering light. The blanket rose and fell in time with Nicky's breathing. Shane stayed there for several minutes, finding it hard to resist reaching out and touching him. Then all of a sudden, Nicky shifted, his body rolling over, suddenly facing Shane. The body heat under the covers intensified, as there bodies lay mere centimeters from one another. Shane's heart was beating at a wild pace, and he could resist no more. He closed his eyes, gently rested his head on the pillow, and shifted his hand blindly in Nicky's direction. Suddenly it was there, resting under his hand. Instinctively, he began to clasp his hand.
"Shane..."
Nicky sleepily called out Shane's name, but Shane decided that it would be best to just pretend that he was still asleep.
"Shane..." came Nicky's dreamy voice again.
Shane said nothing, his hand still resting on Nicky's member. He could feel it strengthen under his palm. Having trouble keeping his breathing slow and even, he slowly inched towards his new friend. His eyes remained closed, until he felt the tickling of Nicky's finger against his cheek.
"Shane, wake up..." Nicky said, his voice raised a little higher than the whisper it was before. Shane was surprised at how close he had come to Nicky, sensing Nicky's warm breath on his face. He slowly opened his eyes, Nicky's face staring back at him, illuminated by the moonlight that shone through the hotel room's window.
"Nicky, what time is it?" Shane said, making an attempt to seem innocent and oblivious to what was going on.
"Shane your hand, it's um... well..." Nicky replied, his voice faltering
Sensing something was wrong, Shane quickly moved his hand away, turning over to the other side of the bed.
"Nicky, go back to sleep..."
What was I thinking? Shane thought to himself. At least Nicky would probably think that it was all accidental, and not an advance on him. But having his naked friend in bed next to him was making it hard for Shane to keep his hands to himself.
Nicky let out a sigh, barely audible in the stillness of the night. he had enjoyed the feel of Shane's strong hand. He yearned to feel it again. What the hell am I thinking? Nicky thought. Didn't he have a girlfriend? Wasn't he happy with her? A wave of emotions hit him, thoughts spinning in his brain. The new sensation of a man's touch excited him and left him wanting more. He stared at Shane's naked back in the moonlight. Studying the curves of his muscles, and the way his shoulders bulged, Nicky felt an attraction to Shane growing inside of him.
He brought his hand up from under the blanket, and reached out for Shane, his fingers making contact with Shane's neck.
"Shane, you still asleep?" he said, tracing circles on Shane's increasing sensitive skin.
His hair standing on end, Shane had trouble responding, needing to clear his throat before he spoke.
"No, Nicky, I'm awake," Shane responded, somewhat nervously.
"Um, can I ask you something?"
"Yeah, what is it," Shane replied, still not turning to face his tormentor.
"Well, I was just wondering, how you thought I did today?"
"I thought you did great Nicky," Shane replied, finally turning over to tell Nicky to his face, "You really looked great up there."
"Looked great, what do you mean by that exactly," Nicky asked, trying to dig a little deeper and find out exactly what was going on in Shane Filan's mind.
"Well, y'know," Shane said, adjusting his head on his pillow, "a group like Westside has to be made up of a bunch of good looking guys, and I think you've got what it takes."
Nicky looked directly into Shane's eyes. "What about all the other guys then?"
"Well, as soon as I saw you I knew that you were the one for, um, well, the one for the group."
"Thanks Shane, that means a lot to me."
"That's okay Nicky, anytime," Shane said, pleased with the way he had handled the situation.
Nicky took the covers off his body, and sat on the edge of the bed, his back facing Shane. His eyes glued to Nicky's body, Shane couldn't help watching Nicky walk casually over to the bathroom, his naked body bathed in the eerie light of the night sky. Nicky flicked the bathroom light on, the room suddenly illuminated as light spilled out of the bathroom. The sound of water could be heard, as Nicky got a drink, trying to ease his sore throat, a result of week's of practice in anticipation of the Westside auditions.
The bathroom light was off again, and Nicky strode out, Shane's eyes again transfixed on Nicky's body. He was having difficulty not drooling as Nicky nonchalantly reached down with his hand, and cupped his balls, scratching them lightly. Lust was beginning to drive Shane wild. Nicky got back into bed, facing in Shane's direction.
"What's going through your mind Shane?"
"Huh? Oh, nothing."
"So, um, what are those other two friends of yours like, I haven't had a chance to meet them."
"They're Kian and Mark. They're my best friends. I've known them both for ages now. We're all from Sligo."
"This might sound a little strange, but what's the story with those two?"
"Story? What do you mean?"
"Well, they looked very close outside before the auditions started last night."
"Are you trying to say that they are, um..."
"Gay? Yeah, well, that's the impression I got. I might be wrong, am I?"
"As far as I know. I honestly don't know what you're talking about," Shane said, somewhat taken aback by Nicky's comments about his two closest friends.
Nicky felt that it was time to scratch the surface a little more. "What about you Shane? Have you got a girlfriend?"
"Well, uh..." was all Shane could manage in reply.
"A boyfriend then?" Nicky said.
Then there was silence, as Shane stared blankly into Nicky's eyes.
