Chapter Twenty-Four
The lake house was quiet... almost too quiet. Lloyd could even hear his own breathing. He could also hear Wheeler's slow breath and feel it on the side of his face. 'Why can't I get to sleep?' Lloyd thought to himself.
He pulled himself away from Wheeler... being careful not to wake him. He slipped on a pair of boxers -- not even caring if they were his because he felt it really didn't matter.
Slowly he opened the door to the room and, leaving the door ajar, stepped into the hall and proceeded through the front room and over to the sliding door to the deck. Standing there, he recalled that this was the place where he had spent almost every summer, as well as a lot of weekends, with his mom and dad. His emotions were starting to get the best of him, and a single tear started to trail down his cheek. He slid the door to the deck open, stepped out into the night air, and closed the door behind him. As he crossed the deck, he remembered helping his dad build the new deck when he was just twelve years old. He was so proud when his dad had told him that he couldn't have done it without him. Now at sixteen, he was sure his father had left one word out of that statement... the word 'faster,' and he smiled.
He moved over and sat down in a deck chair... and then heard his father's voice, 'Son, what are you doing?'
Out loud, and in a full normal voice, Lloyd began to have a conversation with his departed father.
"Dad, I miss you and Mom so much."
'Lloyd, you can't change what already is. We know you loved us, and you also know we loved you very much. Don't do this to your self. Don't let this stop you from doing what you've always wanted to do.'
"I know, Dad. I just hurt."
'Trust in Wheeler. His love will replace what you have lost. He loves you and needs you very much. It's time for you to realize that, from now on, we are looking out for the both of you. We don't want you to be angry about what has happened. We love you, Son. We always have, and we always will. And we love Wheeler as well. Now please, Son, be happy.'
"I'll try, Dad. I'll try harder. I'll make you proud of me, I swear."
'We are proud of you, Son."
In his head, Lloyd heard both his mother and father's voice. He sat back in the chair and stared out into the night... looking over the lake at the still water and loosing himself in his own thoughts.
Inside the bedroom, Wheeler was having a nightmare... reliving what had happened to him at home. Not feeling Lloyd there beside him in his sleep, the nightmare took full control of him. He was back in his room. His father was beating him and kicking him.
He screamed out, "Nooo... stop it... Nooo...!"
Allen, never having heard this before, woke Jason up.
"Something's wrong. Wheeler's screaming. We'd better go see what the fuck is going on."
As they were climbing out of the bed, Ritchie and Glenn both bolted straight up in bed, and Glenn was the first to say anything.
"Something isn't right. Wheeler's alone."
They bolted from the bed and ran into Allen and Jason in the hall. Then Allen pushed open the door to the master bedroom, and there was Wheeler sitting naked in the corner of the room and screaming at some unseen thing.
"Stop! Please stop!"
Ritchie searched the room then grabbed Glenn's arm.
"Go find Lloyd!"
Jason saw his friend in need, so he walked into the room and reached down to help Wheeler. Ritchie turned and saw what was about to happen and screamed, "NO, Jason! Don't touch him!"
Allen, still shaking, looked at Ritchie like he'd lost his mind. First, he wasn't even trying to help his friend. And second, he was yelling at a deaf guy!
Glenn ran into the front room and saw Lloyd on the deck with the moonlight shining on him. He jumped over the couch and slid the door fully open with a loud bang ... causing Lloyd to jump.
"Wheeler needs you... now man!"
Immediately, Lloyd knew what was going on. As long as he had known Wheeler, whenever he took even a brief nap, and was alone, his nightmares would be terrifying to him. But if he, Lloyd, were there with him, they'd never seem to bother him. And he knew that he was the only one who could touch Wheeler when he was in this state.
Jason, not having been able to hear Ritchie's warning, reached out and grabbed Wheeler by the arm to help him up. It took just a millisecond, and Jason was flying back across the floor. Wheeler had slammed his fist dead center into Jason's chest. Allen saw Jason being struck by Wheeler and broke Ritchie's hold on his arm and ran into the room. He was pissed! No one was going to hit his boyfriend... no matter how close the boys were.
As he approached Wheeler, Lloyd slammed Allen from the side into the bed and held him down.
"Allen, it's not him. Trust me. Hold on... please," he begged.
Allen nodded, Ritchie reached the bed, and Lloyd got up and slowly sat down to the side of Wheeler.
"Babe, it's me. I'm here. No one will ever hurt you again. OK?"
Wheeler had stopped screaming. Lloyd reached out and wrapped his arms around him and cradled him in his arms. Wheeler calmed down almost immediately and woke up.
"I'm so sorry. I'm such a baby."
"No, sweetheart, you're not."
Jason, meanwhile, sat on the floor naked... rubbing the pain in his chest, and Allen moved over and sat next to him. He also was naked... and still did not fully understand what was going on.
Ritchie reached for Glenn, and the two of them walked over to Jason and Allen.
"We need to talk," and Ritchie motioned for the door.
As the four of them walked out together, Lloyd pulled Wheeler up from the floor and carried him over to the bed.
"I'm so sorry I left you alone, babe. I couldn't sleep, so I just went for a walk."
"No, it's my fault. The nightmare came back. Why does it keep coming back?"
"I don't know, but we'll solve it together... you and me. OK?"
Lloyd kissed Wheeler hard and long, then they hugged and both drifted back off to sleep.
Ritchie led Allen and Jason back to his room.
"Guys, there's something you need to know. You know Wheeler's story, but I guess we never thought that you might need to know the rest. Whenever Wheeler is alone and asleep, he has these nightmares. I've seen before what happened tonight. I don't know how Lloyd does it, but he's the only one that can touch Wheeler when he's like that. He's the only one who can calm him down."
"Did you see what he did to Jason?" asked Allen.
"Yeah," answered Ritchie, "but you have to understand that even though Wheeler was screaming, he was not wide-awake. All he saw was his dad beating him."
Jason signed something, and Glenn laughed and turned to Ritchie and Allen.
"Jason said he never knew that Wheeler could hit that hard."
Ritchie replied, "Yeah, when he's like that he can hit like a ton of bricks. Trust me. I know! He shoved me across the floor once too."
Jason rubbed his chest and nodded firmly.
"Please," Glenn said. "Don't be mad at Wheeler. He'll feel like shit in the morning."
Jason signed something, and Glenn said, "That might work."
Glenn was about to tell Allen and Ritchie what Jason had said when Allen beat him to it.
"Jason said that I should just hug him and let him know I love him."
Jason looked at Allen... a little shocked to say the least.
"Well... I thought it was time that I started to learn sign language. If you're going to be in my life forever, we need to be able to communicate with each other."
They flew into a hug and kissed deeply. Ritchie noticed both their cocks started to grow. He slapped them both on the shoulders.
"Hey guys... get a room."
"Yeah," Glenn added, "another room! This one is taken."
Jason and Allen got up laughing and walked to the door. Both stopped to look back over their shoulders, then bent over and waved their Asses at the two remaining boys and closed the door.
Glenn looked at Ritchie.
"Hmmm... nice cock."
Ritchie looked towards the door, but Glenn reached over and grabbed Ritchie's cock.
"No silly... here!"
Soon they too were back to sleep... after a satisfying sixty- nine session.
Jason and Allen just went back to bed and cuddled till they both fell asleep.
A few hours later Jason rolled over and pulled off the top sheet, leaned over, and kissed Allen. The smell of coffee was in the air, and he pointed to the shower.
Allen said, "No. Use sign language."
Jason signed, 'Shower?'
"Sure."
Smiling, they disappeared into the bathroom together.
As Lloyd was mixing eggs, Ritchie and Glenn came into the room... both boys smiling and joking as if nothing at all had happened last night. Wheeler, ashamed at what had happened, looked at them and then looked down at the floor.
Glenn hugged him and simply said, "Hey... we love you just the way you are. Don't worry about it."
"Yes, we love you. So stop it," Ritchie started saying.
Wheeler smiled... until Ritchie added, "but sure glad it wasn't me you blasted last night."
Both Glenn and Lloyd slapped him on the back of the head.
"Ouch! Damn it! I was only kidding."
"So were we," Lloyd and Glenn chimed in together.
Wheeler knew Ritchie was joking, but he was worried about how would Jason react towards him. Lloyd went back to the bacon and eggs.
Soon Allen and Jason came walking into the room. Wheeler stiffened at the sight of Jason, and when Jason saw Wheeler, he walked towards him at a fast gate. Lloyd turned and started to intercept him, but he saw Allen shaking his head, 'No,' and smile. He stopped just as Jason picked up Wheeler, hugged him, and swung him in a full circle.
Jason leaned back and signed, 'Hey. I love you, Wheeler.'
Glenn relayed what Jason had signed.
Wheeler replied, "I'm so sorry."
Jason shook his head and grinned.
'No. Next time I will know better, I'll just throw Lloyd at you.'
The boys all laughed. Everything was fine again.
.....
Saturday was spent skiing and resting, and each couple took time to be alone.
Ritchie and Glenn were out on the boat playing.
Jason and Allen walked into the great room and stopped dead in their tracks.
In the middle of the floor, Lloyd and Wheeler were in the full heat of a passionate sixty-nine. Lloyd was on top and was going all the way down to the root of Wheeler's cock. Both boys were slurping and moaning like crazy.
Jason pulled Allen back out the door, signing, 'Let's let them have some time alone. We can go see what's going on in the boat house.'
"There's no one in he boathouse."
Jason smiled and signed, 'No. Not yet,' and took off running. Allen thought for a second, and then he looked towards the boathouse. He saw the naked body of his boyfriend disappearing into the door. At once, he himself was running toward the boathouse too.
At lunch, the boys sat down on the deck, and Allen clearly had something he wanted to talk about.
"Guys, I want to say something. I want to thank all of you for last night. Jason and I really appreciate the fact that you guys trust us enough to share what you did with us.
"Well," Ritchie said, "from what we heard, the main event was in the bedroom."
Jason blushed, and Allen started to stutter, "Well... um... oh... um..."
Lloyd spoke up, "Yeah, and from what we heard, there was a round-two. By the way, if you guys scratched that wall, you're repainting it."
They started laughing, but Allen and Jason were still blushing. Soon, though, they loosened-up and laughed as well.
The boys spent the rest of the day on and off the lake. At night they watched a movie on HBO and then each couple retired to their bedrooms.
In the morning, after cleaning and making sure everything was back in place and cleaned up, Lloyd tossed the bag containing the dirty sheets and towels in the back of the jeep, and they headed for home.
"I'm glad we decided to head back early. That way, we can all relax for the rest of the day and not be tired in school."
"Yes," said Lloyd, "and we can still do all the laundry that's been pilling up this week with everything we've been doing. And now... the lake stuff. We're going to be real busy this afternoon."
"Well, we'll have to find something to do between loads," Wheeler added with a smile.
Lloyd squeezed his hand.
"I can think of a few things."
.....
Meanwhile, that morning at Jason and Jerry's house...
Jerry was just getting out of the shower when the lights started to flash throughout the house. That meant that someone was at the front door.
"Just a minute," he yelled and quickly threw on some shorts without any underwear. When he opened the front door, he was still drying off his chest.
Coach D was standing there waiting patiently.
"Hey, Jerry. I came by to talk to Jason for a minute. Is he home?"
"Sorry, Coach. Jason and the boys went up to Lloyd's family home on the lake this weekend. I don't expect them home until dinnertime."
Coach D couldn't help but notice that Jerry, who was standing there without a shirt on, had a well-built chest with sparse hair. It was an impressive... and hot... sight, and he sensed a familiar stirring in his loins.
"Well, I was just going to see if he'd be willing to help some of the other pitchers with their pitching."
Jerry was lost in his own thoughts. 'Wow! Coach is really a hunky looking guy.' His cock started to move on it's own.
"Would you like to come in for coffee or something?" Jerry heard himself say.
"Sure, if it's no problem."
"It would be a pleasure, Coach. Come on in."
"Jerry, mind if I ask you a question?"
Once they were in the kitchen, Jerry invited him to elaborate.
"Sure, Coach. Fire away."
"Do you know about your son?"
Jerry was worried. He knew that Jason had come out to the whole team, but he wasn't sure what the coach was referring to. So he decided to answer carefully.
"Not sure what you mean, Coach."
'Hmm, how do I ask this?' Coach thought to himself.
"Well, do you know that he's gay?"
Jerry was relived. He didn't detect anything negative in Coach's question at all.
"Yes... and I'm fine with it, and I support my son one thousand percent."
"Jerry, don't get me wrong here. I support him as well. I support all the students regardless of their sexual orientation. Hell... I'd be stupid not to."
Jerry picked up on the hidden message between the lines.
"So, Coach, how long have you known that you're gay?"
"All my life," the coach responded without even pausing to think.
Then it registered what he had just done, and he had a shocked look on his face.
"No problem, Coach. I've been bi... mostly gay... since I was a teen."
Coach D didn't know what to say. Jerry got up, walked into the other room, and returned in a few seconds to hand Coach a book.
Coach looked at the title and recognized it as one of his favorite gay authors. Coach was confused for a second until he looked at Jerry. Then he smiled and pointing to him.
"You wrote this!" he said almost gushing.
"Yes, and three more as well. That's my ghost name."
"No sense opening myself up for trouble. I understand," said Coach.
There was a long pause in the conversation while both men just looked each other over.
Coach thought that Jerry was a very sexy-looking guy... and with a really nice, defined chest. He could really see himself being attracted to Jerry, and his cock started to grow.
Jerry thought along the same lines... what a great guy Coach was and what great shape he was in. His cock also began to tent the shorts he had thrown on. He now wished he had stopped to put on his jockey boxers to help hold it down.
Suddenly, Coach stood up and said, "Well, I should be going. I have things I need to get done before school in the morning."
Jerry stood as well. He immediately noticed the tenting in the coach's shorts and was aware that the coach was looking at the tent in his own shorts.
"Nice," said Coach out loud without realizing it.
"Thanks," Jerry replied... bringing Coach out of his staring.
"Sorry, Jerry."
"No problem, Coach."
"Well, I should be going. Maybe I could come by sometime and we could talk."
Jerry's mind was troubled. He was worried that if he and Coach were to get together... how that would affect Jason and what Jason would think about it. He would have to test the waters, so to speak, when Jason came home. He really liked what he saw in Coach... and in his shorts as well! He had noticed him before but never thought he was gay until now.
"Later," Coach said as he opened the door.
Jerry found himself snapping back to the here and now.
"Sure thing, Coach. See Ya."
As the coach walked toward his car, he thought, 'who am I fooling? What would Jerry see in me... a forty-five-year-old high school coach?'
He crossed the street, got in his car, and drove away.
Jason, who was sitting in the back of Ritchie's car, noticed the coach walking from his house and driving away. He wondered, of course, why the coach had been at his house.
The boys pulled into the drive at Wheeler and Lloyd's house. They piled out and unloaded their things from the car.
Wheeler and Lloyd were the first to enter the side of the garage and notice the signs on the fence. On one was printed, RITCHIE, with an arrow toward the back fence. And on the other was printed, JASON, with an arrow toward the front of the garage.
The boys dropped their bags and followed the sign in the direction of Ritchie's. Around the back of the garage there was a new gate between Wheeler's yard and Ritchie's yard.
"Well," said Wheeler, "looks like Papa John has been busy," and all the boys laughed.
After he gave Allen a good hug and a kiss, Jason picked up his stuff, signed 'Later' to the guys.
They all returned the sign, and Ritchie said, "Let's go. Allen needs a ride?"
"Sure," said Allen, and the three boys left.
Lloyd was the first to open the dormer door. He stopped in his tracks. There was new carpeting on the floor, there was new air-conditioning, and there was a new ceiling fan installed. Wheeler walked around to look at everything. Lloyd was simply stunned at what he saw.
The whole place was totally clean. All the laundry that had been in a pile on the closet floor was gone... done and folded and put away.
The carpet was a deep blue color. The whole place looked and felt really great.
Lloyd was the first to speak. "That is the last time I tell John what I'd like to do to this place."
Wheeler laughed. "Well... he's trying to get even with you for paying off the mortgage!
At his house, Jason walked in the back door and noticed the two coffee cups on the table, and, when he walked into the hallway, he caught sight of his dad sitting on the couch with a far away look in his eyes and a huge tent in his shorts.
Jason walked into the room and signed, 'Hey, Pop. What's up... besides that?' and pointed to his father's erection.
Jerry blushed.
"Not much, son. How was the trip?"
Jason looked at his father and signed, 'Perfect. But, well, I saw Coach D leaving our house just now. You know, you've worried about me all my life. done everything for me,... put your own life on hold. I think it's time you started to worry about yourself.'
Jerry was stunned.
"What are you talking about?"
Jason signed, 'I think it's about time you found out what you've been missing in your own life, Pop, and Coach might be just the guy you've been waiting for.'
And with that, Jason grinned and left the front room.
Once more, Jerry was stunned. Here he had been worrying whether or not Jason would be adversely affected by what he was secretly desiring, and the kid almost told him to whip it out and jump on the coach! Hmmm... he'd have to give this some more thought.
Well, one thing was for sure. There was now a mountain in his shorts, and he knew the direction his thoughts were going to take right then!
