Enjoy.

A meeting immediately ensued in the very center of Wykester University - a room off limits to all but the staff. It was a sanctuary to all the staff, a place where they could go whenever they needed to relax and escape the problems of reality. Adorned with books of ancient times, containing old prophecies and incantations, the room resembles a library. That is, except for the large circular table in the middle. On the table rested many intricate and unusual devices, all for security and discovery.

"But can it be true? Can this boy really be the one?"

"He seems so full of pain and is vulnerable."

"Remember, he is most vulnerable now. His powers should start to manifest soon and all we have to do is protect him until then. After that, there is nothing anyone can do, especially the Arians, to harm him." For the first time since the incident of putting Kiersten to bed, had Mr. Davidson spoke. Being the head of staff, he had a lot of respect in the meeting and everyone held their breath, hoping for more snippets of information as all were not clear on exactly what was going on. "Mrs. Srybe, would you be please inform all of us here exactly who Kiersten is?"

"My pleasure. If you all remember the prophecy made eras ago about the ..."

"That will be quite enough everyone. After all, why spoil the fun when they can learn firsthand," came a smooth, taunting voice. Mr. Davidson's became slits as he turned around to face the intruder. "Glad you remember me old man. I was hoping you did or I would have had to remind you and that would have been a waste of my precious time."

"Ivine...how nice to see you again. Tell me, how did you get in?"

"I have my ways. But tell me Mark, where is the boy?"

"Oh I think you know he is much more than just a boy...don't you? After all, you boss wouldn't want you to go on a mission unprepared."

"Don't you dare talk about my boss that way Mark, he is so much more than you ever could be. You could have been great like him, but you chose, instead, to help others when they could have been your servants."

"You don't have to remind me what I am capable of Ivine, I quite clearly know."

"No matter, just tell me where this boy is. I don't have much patience or time right now."

"You'll never get him, not as long as I live."

"Oh, but your mistaken Mark. Why don't you step outside with me and have a look around?"

"No than..."

"But I do insist."

Ivine finished with a nasty smirk and opened the door for the staff to leave their sanctuary. Yet as they followed Ivine out, many were thinking why Kiersten was so important, why Ivine was back and why they just don't attack him, and finally, what was outside? Once they reached the outside, they all gasped. For outside, all of their students were tied up, or so it seemed, by invisible bonds that couldn't be broken by any feasible means. All but Mark Davidson started charging up to unleash their wrath when they were interrupted by Mr. Davidson's command: 'Don't attack. Ivine is being controlled by someone. We should never have let him go.'

"So, tell me now, where is this boy? Or would you rather save his life than the lives of all these innocent people? Are you that he..."

"No Professor. Don't let Kiersten get hurt. Ivine can't...."

"Shut up insolent fools. And you Hayden, my my, you have grown more handsome than last time. And I didn't think that was possible. You should have joined me Hayden. We could have been together. Look at all the power I have now. What's that now? You can't speak. Oh dear me, I can't let you. For all I know, you could start muttering those silly spells of yours," Ivine let out evil laughter that made Hayden's eyes start glowing. "Now Hayden, you shouldn't start using your power on me, you could get seriously hurt. And we definitely don't want that, now do we?"

"Enough Mark. We shall show you the boy."

Mrs. Srybe immediately sent out to Mr. Davidson: 'You can't be serious, after what the prophecy said...' 'Lylene, calm down. Kiersten has already experienced magic first-hand. His body should already be starting to fight it off. I believe in him. He has seen much pain and suffering and worse, he himself has experienced, nothing that Ivine's boss can do, should make that big of a difference. And we can't just let these people get hurt; we're here to protect them. And in any case, I shall protect Kiersten with everything I have.' That finished, Mr. Davidson summoned the other staff to the very middle of Wykester Area, afloat, in the air. There, with eyes glowing of all colors and shades, they whispered 'OPEN'. A single beam of pure light shot down to the area where, water, earth, and air met, opening up the ground to reveal a small room, surrounded by a clear material, stronger than diamond. And in it laid, the body of Kiersten, who remained asleep for he couldn't awaken unless Mr. Davidson allowed him to and Mr. Davidson, had no intentions of awakening him just yet.

"Well well well, this boy is quite a masterpiece himself. A contemporary of Hayden if I don't say so myself."

Ivine's eyes glowed a faint black and in his hands appeared a bow and arrow, of purest black. Mr. Davidson let out a gasp of surprise.

"Surprised Mark. I thought you would be. But beautiful aren't they? The Arrows of Evil - beauty and power combined. Let's just see if your precious walls can stand to their power. Shall we?"

With a demented laugh, Ivine took aim, and fired, straight at the center of the room's wall. The arrow flew swift and straight, through the wall as if it did not exist, and right into the very heart of Kiersten. But within the final millimeters of his heart, the arrow was thrown asunder, barely yet surely grazing Kiersten's hand. With a jolt, Kiersten's eyes flew open as wind started bellowing through the room pushing the arrow farther and farther away from Kiersten. A scream, filled with terror, torment, and sever pain shatter the dead still area. The ground erupted and cracked, the water picking up ferocity, trying to reach Ivine, storm clouds surrounded the air, hailing ice pellets and lightning at Ivine. Yet Ivine stood stock still, for a voice spoke through his head - 'You have failed me, impudent mortal. Now you shall see the true might of power...' Water, lightning, earth, and air, met at the very core of Ivine surrounding him in an aura before disintegrating him. Another scream filled the night air and all eyes flew toward Kiersten as he clutched his hand in pain. Free of his invisible bonds, Hayden sped towards Kiersten before being swept away by a tornado that was forming, swallowing up all the people of Wykester University and Area, with Kiersten at the very bottom, oblivious to the occurring around him. 'Kiersten, are you okay?'

Kiersten jumped up with a look of utter amazement and terror, clearly surprised at having a thought put into his mind.

'Relax Kiersten; it's only me, Mr. Davidson. How's your hand? Just think about it and believe that you are sending it to my mind.'

Dubiously, Kiersten thought and sent: 'It's really killing me and there's this gnawing at my core, like my soul or something.'

'Can you try and relax Kiersten.'

'Sure, I'll try.' With a deep intake of breath, Kiersten tried to calm his mind, spirit, and body.

With that calm, the wrath of Nature around him subsided. As the students fell, Mr. Davidson caught them, as if with an invisible hand, his eyes once more glowing coal black. Setting the people down gently, he rushed over to Kiersten, followed by Mrs. Srybe and Hayden, the other staff tending to the students.

"Thank God this wound isn't deep. But it was one of the Arrows of Evil, he will need the Drink of Siryiunos. Lylene, if you would be so kind as to go fetch it, I believe you know where it is?"

"Of course Mark. I'll be right back."

"Is he going to be ok Professor?" asked a worried Hayden. Tears stung to his face, as he watched the boy he had a huge crush on crying in pain. 'Is this just lust, or love at first sight? Or am I just bullshitting my self? passed through Hayden's mind as he stared down at a boy he barely knew.'

"He'll be fine Mark, he needs rest, and answers. Hayden, do you think you could help him up?"

"No, its ok. I'm fine, I can do it," answered Kiersten, to whom the question was not even addressed. Due to many years of torment he lived through without a single shred of love, he learned to be take care of himself and do everything alone even at times of near death. But with those simple words, Kiersten cut a wound deep into Hayden's heart. 'This must be love, otherwise his words wouldn't sting that much would they? thought Hayden once more.' Struggling, Kiersten picked himself up, as Mrs. Srybe came back with blinding speed. In her hands, she held a golden cup with liquid the color of the moon. Yet, her face was stricken with worry, and she sent to Mr. Davidson:

'I checked the sensors in our room, they showed the activities a moment ago on overload but now, they can't pick up a single thing on Kiersten.'

'It is to be expected Lylene, Earth only intends to protect him.'

"Drink this up, Kiersten, it'll help you."

Kiersten drank the whole mixture in one gulp and immediately, the wound on his hand and the pain in his heart, receded, before diminishing all together.

"Well then, why don't we all go up to the cafeteria and have a late dinner. You all will receive answers to what is happening there. Come along now."

But just as everyone started moving, a voice, more melodic than any before, spoke out, <Beware for the boy has awakened, heed the prophecy well, for only can he help this world, but first, he must find love, and that will be the deciding factor of the future>. Just as abruptly and quickly as it came, it disappeared, leaving everyone in a distressed mood.
